Visited this establishment many years ago and wanted to do brunch locally, glad we decided to visit Parlay! Sangria - a bit watered down for my taste and tasted bitter IMO. Pancakes - decent , nothing special. Eggs Benedict- decent, nothing special either. Waitstaff could be a bit more attentive but overall pleasant and nice.

This place is very cute and has a cozy feel. It is pretty small so I wound recommend big groups. I ordered the shroom sandwich with a side of fries and I must say that Parlay did not miss. I was honestly blown away by how good the sandwich was. The oyster was huge and the right amount of crispy. It was seasoned so well and the thick cut of tomato complimented it nicely. I believe the sauce was some sort of house sauce and it was very savory. I would definitely order this dish again. Very pleased with the establishment. Can't wait to visit again :)

Everything was perfect. Delicious. Divine. Creative. Served with love I don't live in Brooklyn. I fear they might not be here next time I am in town. Gotta eat this food again!

Solid lunch spot. Came here on a weekday for lunch with a couple friends. The place wasn't too busy and we were able to seat ourselves at a table right away. I ordered the Malaysian Curry Chicken, which I thought was pretty good. My friend who is a regular here really likes their Fried Chicken Sandwich. Glad I got to try this place!

Great find in Sunset Park and highly recommend for a quick bite or brunch. There is seating outside and limited seats inside. The music was great and at a comfortable level. The staff was attentive and service was wonderful. As an appetizer we ordered the mozzarella sticks and WOW!! They were huge and cheesy and delicious. The food was excellent and cannot wait to return to try other items on the menu!

Parlay has been in my bookmarks for a long time and I finally got to come today! It's a cute cafe and it has a calming and nice ambiance to it where i can just relax I came with my husband and we enjoyed it alot! The roti for the malaysian curry was super crispy but not burnt and the curry itself was delicious with pieces of potatoes and chicken inside. The burger was only okay for me since it didn't have special ingredients and the patty was a bit too well done for my taste, but that's just me - it could be perfect for someone else and it's still a good burger but i wouldn't say it was special. The staff was very friendly and I believe it's a mother daughter owned cafe and that's what i love to see rather than more chains around us. I would recommend for a date tbh!

This was my first time trying this brunch spot . I pass by it often so figured it was time to give it a try . The pace is cash only but does have an atm inside . You order at the "desk" then food is brought to your table . The place isn't huge inside but it's cozy . Cons: When I went to place my order . I inquired about the ingredients of the omelette and let them know of my cheese intolerance . I was told there was no cheese In this dish . When my food arrived sliced my omelette and saw the entire inside filled with melted cheese . I called the waiter over and told her . Very rudely she stated "I told you we don't put cheese in the omelette". I have to open it up for her to see the cheese, then she grabbed the plate . No apology for her mistake and eventually my food came out without cheese . The entire interaction was very off putting hence the 3 star review Pros : I did enjoy the food and the atmosphere . If I had a different waiter this could have been a 4 start review . Definitely order the curry and roti ( it comes with 2 pieces of roti and you can get extra for $3)

I came here years ago and enjoyed their brunch and decided to come here again with a friend since we were in the area. I wanted to try their signature Malaysian curry chicken. They also had a toasted sesame latte that seemed really interesting. You order at the front first before being seated. The environment is pretty nice. It's decorated really nicely and overall a nice place to catch up with a friend. The food however was a bit disappointing. The signature curry was really heavy for my taste with few pieces of chicken and two pieces of potato. The roti that it came with was dry, flakey, and very thick. It wasn't crispy at all but felt more doughy. The French toast my friend got was standard. Nothing special about it. The toasted sesame latte had zero sesame flavor to it. It just tasted like a regular latte. Overall, the food was disappointing and I don't think I would come back again but the environment was pleasant. The staff was nice as well but not as attentive since my water cup was empty for a long time.

How lucky am I that I was craving eggs Benedict and I happen to be near this spot? The food, the service, the ambiance, even the clean bathroom - I was very happy with my brunch here and would love to come back next time I'm in the area.

Food delicious, although we waited a long time for coffees ( food was already half eaten by the time they came out ) everything was delicious and the man in charge gave us a fruit salad on the house. He forgot our pancake order ( to share for the table) but honestly we weren't in a rush and he was so sweet and the food tasted so good I didn't care.

5 stars alone for the shroom burger! Had the curry chicken with awesome rotis! Service is excellent with super affordable prices. Would be 5 but the espresso machine was broken and the drip coffee was just ok. They dress it for you and also there are no free refills. There was supposed to be a craft beer/wine selection and there was none of that. Cash only.

The food is delicious and well tasty. I came here after church and had brunch with my friend. I highly recommend this place for the delicious food especially, the Malaysian Curry Chicken or Shrimp and the Hibiscus Lemonade.

The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were very good. The sweet potato fries were crispy but could use some salt. The french fries were solid. Hibiscus lemonade was perfect, tart and not sweet. Heads up: cash only and if you don't order food (you only ordered a drink) they won't seat you

Home is where the heart is and there is nothing quite like a home cooked meal. I have to say most Bay Ridgians enjoy dining local and in our neighborhood. I love to support neighborhood gems because majority of restaurant owners here, love their clients, establish loyalty through cooking delicious food and provide consistent great customer service. I was in the mood for a " comfort food"breakfast, you know, eggs, avocado, mozzarella, tomato, deliciousness and I found it on the menu simply named "Breakfast Sandwich". Which consists of voila: Mozzarella, avocado, tomato jam, arugula, crispy bacon, dijonaise, sunny side up egg between multigrain toasts. I ordered this sans the bacon ( requested turkey bacon which they do not have). What arrived in my plate was this decadent open faced egg sandwich that looked delectable.. and was!! Let's first talk about the wheat toast: I tasted it naked and it simply melted in my mouth. The ingredients worked well together, perfect synchronicity. I used one half of the toast to sop up any fallen ingredients. Highly recommend! For a drink, I wanted something a bit different, thus, ordered the Mango Mint Peach tea, fruity with a hint of mint. Loved it and went well with the Sammy! There are lovely options besides breakfast sandwiches like quinoa, oatmeal, granola, pancakes, French toast.. breakfast is served all day and lunch is served @noon. I arrived before 12 and was told I can order breakfast or lunch. It has a cozy, intimate vibe which I love.. one where you can dine solo, or do work or read or just enjoy the fabulous food. I will make "The Common" my home away from home. Additionally, there are cooking classes in their Park Slope location; the courses look great: Italian feast, Moroccan cooking, Wine Pairing and many more. Check out their website for more info. And one of the greatest chefs I've ever had the pleasure to know. And I've known my share of cats who made their livings and their names in a kitchen. From the very first day I discovered Brancaccio's I felt a magic a connection that I knew would change my life, make my belly really f--kin' happy and set my soul a-dancin'. On that first day Joe and I talked about the great food of NY; most of it gone but not forgotten by those who were of the time. We both lamented the lose of the legendary Zito's bakery on Bleecker. I can't tell you how long it had been since I'd ran into someone who even remembered Zito's much less was intimate with the place. I knew I was home. This was well over a decade ago. I won't go into specific things on Joe's menu that are worth trying because quite literally... everything is amazing. It just is! Soul satisfying beyond my ability to do justice to. I'd also like to throw out as an example of the humanity of the joint and it's capt. Joe... Joe treats his employees with respect, R E S P E C T as Aretha belted, dignity and the aforementioned humanity which is beautiful and virtually non-existent these days as far as I can see... and you can taste it in his food. That's just a big-ass Right On! Finally I like to say two or three things: First that as I initially identified myself as "used to being a regular" as and this is by no means a boo-hoo thing simply a fact... I fell pretty ill for a while and am just now beginning my reentry into the world. And as a matter of fact during the recent drag of days for me a thought kept slamming into the walls of my head and that was that I couldn't wait to once again sink my teeth into Joe's food. Well that day is here and I'm salivating at the thought. "I'll take one of everything my man!" Secondly, understand I've never written anything like this... I'm actually down on the whole review culture. So if this sounds at all "over the top"... or written by a cousin who Joe owes money to, get that thought right out of your head. All of I said is sincere and one from the heart. And lastly an additional "oh yea baby" to Joe's taste in music.

It was pretty tasty, but I must say I wasn't as blown away as I'd expected. The sausage sandwich got a bit soggy from all of the marinara (which I wasn't expecting based on the description), so I was less excited about it. It was way too much food for two people. Like one sandwich is plenty for two, but I got greedy with wanting to try too much. We had a ton leftover! I would have probably rated it 3.5 stars, but the German roach running around pained me to see and stole my appetite. I'd want to say I'd come back and try one of those delicious sounding breakfast sandwiches, but roaches are a hard sell for me.
