First time here, after many years later.. From days it was called "Hollywood" .."cyclone" this spot has passed many hands and many "owners" but all they do is update the inside and store front. Parking lot is still a disaster.. Very tight space to park into. Might be better off if there was some kind of arrangements made with the next shopping plaza to share parking space. Parkview Diner is the place my friends and I go to late nights when there are no where else to go. It has plenty of seating and is open 24/7. The service is decent, nothing to rave about, but they are professional. Food is pricey (they charge extra for fries, cheese, etc.) but there's a lot of food! Each plate is huge and will fill you, no matter what you order. Food isn't spectacular either, but it's decent. I would say equal to or better than most of the other diners i've been to. I will come back because it's the best local 24/7 that I know of. Pros: close to my neighborhood with large portions of food at crazy hours. PARKING!! Cons: Price and food is just decent. read more

Finally made it to this diner after hearing and reading so many positive reviews!! YES they are pricey especially for a diner. YES they are a little old school and it seems like they haven't washed their carpets since 5 years ago...BUT the amount of food that we ate it was completely worth this experience. Their menus are huge. Like it took us about 20 minutes to actually figure out what we wanted to eat. My brother had a Philly cheesesteak, I got a chicken sandwich with the nachos, my mom had a chicken garden wrap. All came with fries. My mom and I had coffee to start, but to me it was very acidic and sour so I did not enjoy it but my mom said hers were fine so then I realized it was the creamer that they gave us and I informed our waitress about it but she didn't do anything about. That's fine whatever I'll just drink the water. It took them about 20 minutes to bring out the food (very quick!) the amount of food we got was disgusting. We could've fed a whole army. My brothers Cheesesteak had a funny smell so he tasted everything separately he said the meat was very blend and the bun was old. He made me smell the bun and it in fact smelt like a stale bread. He ate the whole thing anyway. My mom loved her wrap and I ate my sandwich happily. Took us forever, but we didn't eat for the rest of the day so it was worth it. We were on the B 82 bus when I spotted this diner right next to the bus stop and my husband and I promptly got out as we were famished returning from the Mermaid Parade yesterday. We were a little surprised as it was more than half empty despite being so close to Surf Avenue on a day like yesterday. What a lovely view they have. This place is aptly named as you can get the entire view of the park sitting at one of the booths near the big picture windows. My husband ordered a western omelette for himself and the veggie panini for me. Both the dishes were mediocre nothing out of extraordinary. We were famished so we killed both of it. They also serve complimentary cold slaw (pass it) and pickle which was good and I could taste dill in it. We might go again on our way back for Surf Avenue but won't go especially ever. read more

Went here for breakfast for Mother's Day. It's a new diner in the neighborhood, my mom wanted to try it, whatever. Went with my parents, my brother and my boyfriend. The interior is really nice--I don't remember what the former diner here looked like (it's been a million years since I was there), but they fixed it up really nice. It was really, really crowded (on account of it being a new place/Mother's Day), so the waitress was extremely apologetic about the wait. And she had every reason to warn us -- we waited a good 20 minutes-a half hour for the food, even though my berries (for my French toast) and my boyfriend's fruit preserves (for his Belgian waffle) were brought out first. Um, why? The French toast was decent and the side of home fries I ordered were shredded (like I like them) and plentiful. The coffee was meh, but the chocolate milk was very good. There is an incredibly large menu which I find amusing because obviously I always know what I want..... eggs or the veggie burger deluxe... The veggie burger is delicious. So the breakfast isn't that bad. I got a Western omelet sub bacon instead of ham and a coffee. The food was pretty good (forgot to ask for cheese, all well) but every time I get their coffee it always taste burnt. Like it was sitting there for a while. I don't know what kind of coffee they use but I think they might want to change it. I know it's not an expresó coffee cause I use that at home and it never has that burnt taste. read more

She completely delayed the toast and corn beef hash that came with my meal. And my children's pasta (fettuccine Alfredo) was completely unacceptable. Worst breakfast I've ever had. Worst service I ever had. We had a table for 3 and the server automatically greeted us with attitude. She never smiled once or used a proper tone of voice once. We said we needed more time to look over the menu, she said ok and literally came back 30 seconds later to take our orders and was demanding that we do so exactly at that moment. I told her I still needed another minute and she gave even more attitude and rolled her eyes. What kind of people do they hire here? I asked a couple questions regarding the menu such as if I can get an egg and cheese on a wrap and she said no. I asked if I can get the two scrambled eggs with cheese on a roll and she said if you get the roll, it doesn't come on the roll, the roll is just on the side. I asked if she can put it on the roll and she proceeded to say they can't put an egg on a roll and argued with us with attitude. She said we can speak to a manager and that they won't put egg on a roll because it's a complete different platter, although the egg and the roll come on the platter. I ordered the eggs "with the roll on the side" and I asked her to add in cheddar cheese. The food came within a minute, plate hot and food cold which is a clear indication that the food was already there, old and stale. Guess what? The egg did come on the roll, not on the side. Also, there was no cheese on the egg and cheese I ordered, disappointing. The hash brown it came with was clearly old and stale, it had no taste and was super hard to dig into due to how stale it was. I couldn't even finish the food. I also look up from my food and there she is from across the diner just staring at us, rude. The chain Dennys even cooks their food fresh, is cheaper, and has amazing service. This is a family owned diner with poor service, horrible food that's overpriced. I will never come here again. read more

Came here last week for breakfast and I order 2 scrambled eggs with turkey sausage and home fries and when I got it it looked appetizing but after eating the home fries it tasted sour and rancid. My mom got the same thing so I asked her how the potatoes taste to her because I thought maybe I was going crazy, but I wasn't. After her tasting it she immediately spit it out. And told me the potatoes are bad. I moved on to the eggs and they weren't fully cooked. The turkey sausage wasn't so bad. Customer service is pretty good the food isn't. Hello my fellow foodies. I have recently tried park view diner. You might love this place I do too. My only problem is the service. I had egg on my chair ugh it was gross. The food was pretty good. 9 days later I went back there was a bad problem. The problem was that there was a leak in the wall. It was spilling on us and the host wouldn't give us a new seat when we arrived just after we waited about 20 minutes or more. I left the restaurant but I might come back but the host was rude. Came here on a slower day so we were seated right away. Overall, their food is pretty delicious for a diner. We had the baked eggs benedict, belgian waffle deluxe, and buttermilk pancake deluxe. I was impressed with how good the baked eggs benedict was, and pancakes were perfect. 4 stars because their waffle was dry and I was expecting a better quality waffle. Waitress was good. Everything else was not good. We were a party of seven, five of us had problems with our food. Do not order roast beef panini, the roast beef was old and oddly the only part of the panini that had grill marks was the roast beef. Order a burger that was supposed to have pesto, didn't have pesto, we asked for the pesto it was olive oil with garlic. I won't go on, you get the point.
