Summerlicious Dinner with my parents - $45 Just wanted to talk about the vibe first. Damn are there a lot of good spots to take photos and even the bathroom sink was a throwback to the classic washfountain design. Appetizers were alright, my favourite was the garlic knot. The mains were a tough choice, the fish was flavourful and served well. The battered chicken was good, but was stiff and felt like I was eating a rock or cardboard. The vegetables for all the mains were on the bitter side, not sure if that was intended. Usually I'm a sucker for desserts, but there was nothing noteworthy for all 3. As much as I wasn't a fan of the summerlicious menu, I'd be okay to come back and check out their pastas.

We've always enjoyed the homemade pasta (which is perfect 100% of the time btw) @parcheggioto For $34 per person we had a fabulous 3 course Summerlicious lunch; server was super attentive and passionate about the food offered on the menu. I highly recommend this place! Picured: the best lemon panna cotta I've ever tasted , fresh blueberry tart with just the right hint of sweetness perfectly cooked chicken cutlet a flavorful fusilli , whipped feta crostini loaded with fresh peas, and 2 hearty garlic knots.

We decided for a winterlicious date night at Parcheggio, a lovely restaurant just outside of Baview Village. Our reservations were for 6, and we were seated promply in a lovely booth directly in front of the kitchen/service area. After seeing 'The Bear', you get a new appreciation for the work that goes into a successful service. With winterlicoius, you get to try an appetizer, main, and dessert. We enjoyed a squash soup, gnocchi, and shared dessert. By far, the dessert was the best option. The gnocci and rockfish were a bit underwhelming *bland*, but the soup was quite flavourful. Overall, we are not big on italian foods but overall a fun time. The service was great. There is plenty of staff and a very efficient service. Definitely a ince and done, but you a good winterlicious option. -Zuk

The duck fusili - possibly one of the best pastas we've enjoyed

We happened upon this place in night with a craving for Italian. The place is gorgeous. I think they could space their booths a bit better though because we were crammed up to the table, but the design is fabulous. From what I could see, they made most of their space into booth seating and there's also a gorgeous party room for private events. I love the open concept of the kitchen and dining area as well. The bathrooms are freaking gorgeous! Service was excellent. Our server was very prompt to bring water and take our orders. Food followed very quickly after. And there was always one of two people going around just checking on the tables waters and taking empty plates. It was very efficient. Mushroom bruschetta was amazing. Rich, deep mushroom flavor with a humble piece of toasted bread to carry it all. We ordered the beef gnocchi, duck fusili and a rose pasta. All delicious. Fantastic pasta texture, rich and thoughtful sauces, and crave-able food. If I'm not mistaken, this restaurant is also one of the Oliver Bonacini collection. The tiramisu was a tad sweet for my taste but absolutely delicious. We'll balanced and extra soaked lady fingers. I can't wait to come back here soon!!!

    Nonna'a Lasagna and Tagliatelle Alfredo

We went here for a date and the atmosphere can be romantic or lively depending on which section of the restaurant you are seated at. The staff was very considerate when I told them the chair was too had as I'm 8 months pregnant and they found me a different chair along with a cushion. My nonna's lasagna has sauce, meat and cheese between all 14 layers. Hands down one of my favourite lasagnas! They only have a few servings of this dish every day and you have to ask for it as it's not on the menu. As for the tagliatelle Alfredo if wasn't anything special but it was good. You definitely need to add a protein to it.

Was here for dinner, the lasagna was really good, others are average. Portion size is decent, our server did forgot our drinks the first time, but it's OK. Plating is alright, it's noisy but not too loud.

This stracciatella cheese appetizer was off the hinges tasty.

I wish I could give this place 3.5 Stars. The appetizer of stracciatella cheese is probably one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. The cheese and jam combo on their crostini was really perfect and I would highly recommend anyone to try this if you enjoy delicious food. The mains of lamb chops and steak were just ok. The lamb was quite overcooked which they swapped when we mentioned it. The steak was nothing special. We also had their tagliatelle and it was just borderline ok. The tiramisu was good and was absolutely massive. I think four people could have shared it, but my wife and soldiered on and took it down. The service was fine if somewhat ordinary for the price point of this restaurant. I think I would like to go back and just order some appetizers, wine, and a dessert and I'd be perfectly happy.

Winterlicious menu. $34 /person is not cheap.

Went there for lunch today to try their Winterlicious menu. We had a 11:30 reservation. The restaurant was almost empty at that time except a small party at the back of the restaurant. I asked the Receptionist if we could have one of the empty booths ( at least 10 empty), but she said the restaurant is fully booked for the next hour and took us to a tiny table on the side. I told her I needed more space in order to enjoy my meal. So she reluctantly gave us a bigger table. The waitress gave us the menu and told us at the request of the Chef, please order either all from the Winterlicious menu or all from the regular menu. Please don't order from separate menus. It sounded odd, but I didn't want to argue. So to make it easy for her, my wife and I ordered the same for both of us. The salad was OK 7/10 The Pork sandwich on a bun was so so. 6/10. Bun not the soft and fresh one I like. The pork was tough to chew. I'm glad I still have all my original teeth! The shoestring fries were not burned but too crispy and Salty. The desert was the only item I liked. Surprisingly, not too sweet as in most causician restaurants. 8/10 Each person $34 before tax for a 3 course meal. Total damage , $76.84 before tips. The service was adequate, so I added 15% tips. Would I go again? What do you think?

House made lasagna. It's not on the menu, but it's a MUST TRY!

I recently came here with a friend and her baby for lunch. I've always driven past this place at Bayview Village and have always wanted to try it out. I loved the ambience, simple and clean with a 60s flair. The server was helpful and accommodating. We both ordered the house made lasagna with (15?) layers and baked in a bolognese sauce made of pork, veal, beef, tomato, and parmigiano-reggiano. Lunch on a weekday was quiet with just 4 or 5 tables of patrons. However, the lasagna took FOREVER! Apparently, the lasagna was not up to par, so the chef baked another from scratch! The server was very nice and kept coming by to make sure we were ok. Luckily, my friend's baby was very well behaved and we had nowhere else to be, so we waited. The server also offered us a free appetizer, a house made Burrata Cheese served in an apple & fennel mostarda with arugula, almonds, and crostini. It was absolutely delicious! I've never had burrata with a nutty apple sauce before... but it totally works! We were happily munching away at the appetizer, we barely even noticed that it took almost 45 minutes for the lasagna! But I have to say, the lasagna was well WITH THE WAIT. This was the BEST LASAGNA I'VE EVER HAD! It was meaty, flavourful and cheesy at the same time! I could taste every ingredient that went into this, and it was baked to perfection! I would definitely come here again! Their customer service is top notch (just make sure you're not in a hurry - in case you have to wait).

    Kids cheese pizza
    Kopi C.

After eating the food here I was covered by darkness and don't want any food in this world anymore, yes it's that bad! I can't remember ever eating such bad food in a restaurant before. The kids pizza was so hard and black, looks and tastes like it's been recooked for 3 days. The eggplant rigatoni are hard. The duck ragu has nothing tastes like duck, the sauce and the whole dish tastes soooo bad and plain. I can't believe it's food from Italian restaurant. I totally feel like I was tricked by the google rating, everything tasted so bad. The waitress was very nice and tried to help, her service earned this one star. I will never come back.

    Bison Rigatoni
    Clyde C.

Was here for summerlicious, sorry forgot to photograph the delicious fresh Tuscan salad, The Bison Rigatoni was quite tasty. Overall the food was very good, however, the problem was with the terrible service. We had to ask for the bill 3 times and waited over 15 minutes for it even though we told them we were in a rush to see a movie. In addition, 2 from our party of 4 found hairs in their food. The manager apologized and credited the dishes and replaced them, but the damage was done

    Tomato bruschetta
    Fontaine M.

Conveniently located by the Bayview Village mall, we picked this spot for ease of parking and the more "upscale" ambience. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly team. The vaccination check was fast and smooth and we were seated in a circular booth. So cozy. Everyone was dressed relatively nicely - it felt like a night out. We ordered the tomato bruschetta, chicken rigatoni rose and an eggplant parmigiana with eggplant rigatoni. The food was all very good. The pasta was definitely freshly made. I had ordered an aperol spritz and figured out I wasn't a fan (which was weird coz I used to like aperol). They were super kind about exchanging it to a lemon spritz. Customer service overall was amazing. Will be back!

This is a solid place to visit, because it has a great ambience. Also, if you're looking to remember what the bathroom sink in your old high school looked like, you've come to the right place because their basement bathroom will send you right back to the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s... Maybe until today if you were a Central Tech grad? It's easy enough to park. It's easy enough to order. But it's a place where the cost might outstrip the rewards. The drinks are superb (get the weird coconut one with chocolate around the glass) - but they can run you $20 each. The octopus pasta is heavy on the spice, so be prepared. The ceasar salad is watery and lackluster, so avoid. The meatballs are exactly what you want them to be. The salmon is superb. The lamb is a tasty treat - but it lacks the pungent lamb kick in the fact... so maybe that works for you, or maybe it's a reason to try something else. If you're looking to impress someone, this is a decent place to drop by. There's a lot going on right here, and I'm glad to have had a wonderful evening experiencing this location!

I came here with my best friend for a birthday dinner, and I could immediately see why this place has lasted for decades. It's tucked inside an old house on Elm Street, and the whole restaurant has that warm, family-run charm that makes you feel like people have been coming here for years and bringing more people back with them. The tables are definitely close together, so it's a little tight when the restaurant gets busy, but honestly that also adds to the lively energy because there was a steady flow of people coming in all night. Food-wise, there were a few dishes that really stood out. The carpaccio is such a good order, very thinly sliced raw beef, simple and classic, and honestly one of the most reasonably priced versions I've seen. My personal favorite was the prosciutto & melon. It's such a simple dish, but when it's done well, it really hits, and this one did. The real star for me though was the Cozze Marinara. The mussels were plump, tender, and clean, with no sandy bits, and the garlicky tomato sauce was so good that I ended up scooping it up with bread until the plate was basically spotless. We also tried the Vitello Marsala with mushrooms and Penne Arrabbiata, which felt very classic and comforting. If you like traditional Italian flavors, this is the kind of dish that will make you happy. That said, I personally wouldn't recommend mixing the meat and pasta together too much, I think they shine better on their own. Later we also ordered the garlic grilled seafood fettuccine because we were enjoying ourselves so much, and that one was much lighter in flavor. Nice enough, but probably not the best choice if you like richer or bolder pasta dishes. By the end we were completely full and had to leave a few strands of fettuccine behind, which almost never happens for me. Overall, Donatello feels like the kind of neighborhood Italian restaurant people return to for comfort, generous portions, and that warm family run atmosphere. It may not be the most spacious or modern place, but it has heart, and some dishes were genuinely memorable.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.
