Great place, great food. We have ordered from all over the menu, all of the food was great. Nice presentation, nice serving size. Our service has always been excellent. Wish they had a little better desert menu, had a few, which were good, but paled in comparrison to the quality of the food items. Huge craft beer selection. Nice wine and spirits menu. Only real complaint I have, is the place is way to noisy. They need to install sound dampers to cut down on the echo. Hard to hear someone across the table. Now, multiply that x 20 read more

The only complaint I could really have about this place is the location and outdoor seating. It is in a parking lot of a Target and Marshalls and that's exactly what you're looking at when sitting in the outdoor seating area. However, I have been here 3 times and every time the food has been delicious, the craft beer selection has been ample and the waitstaff has been friendly and accommodating. The first time I came I came for happy hour on a Football Sunday. The place wasn't very crowded but again, I think location play a huge factor in that. We sat right at the bar and ordered the chicken wings and the buffalo bacon chicken dip. The wings were large and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a little spicy but that's to be said for buffalo sauce. The dip was so delicious! It's obviously a heart attack in a bowl but if you have a day you want to splurge, it's excellent. The bar tenders were well educated on what beer was on tap and gave top-notch recommendations. The second time I came was for lunch with a girlfriend and we sat outside. The outdoor seating area is not somewhere you want to come if you are looking for that summer outdoor bar scene. It's a few iron tables with umbrella set up in a row with napkins on them. That's about it. However, we ordered the dip again and I got the Grilled Chicken BLT which was lettuce, tomato, bacon & bacon ranch dressing all piled high on Texas Toast. It was served with fries which were really good and all for $11. So all in all, great little place to go out for a date night, girls' lunch, etc. to eat and have some delicious craft brews! Enjoy! read more

After posting on Yelp the owner/Chef Eric Levine, wrote me an email. I must admit I was suprised. He apologized for our bad event that Sunday and offered me and my party a free meal n appies. At first I said no but he was insistent, and did I think he deserved another shot. Being one in who believes in fair play and give everyone a second shot I accepted his generous offer. We arrived and was greeted warmly by the Chef. We order 4 appies not wanting to take advantage of his kindness. I had the cheese n meat board with the vodka of the day. The other appies was the Buffalo chicken dip.. shrimp roll .. and the fresh bruscatt... all came timely and was well made. We then had desserts..key lime tart. Chocolate mouse and chocolate ganach...all were taste Will I come again..yes I will and for a dinner. read more

I went to Paragon Tap and Grill for the 2nd time last Wednesday, August 26th with 2 friends. The first time we just had craft beers. Since Wednesday is martini night, I ordered the Lime Martini which was supposed to have Absolut Vanilla, lime juice, and Licor 43. When it arrived, and I tasted it, and it was awful! My friend's martini which I don't recall the name of was pretty good. When I finally got the bartender's attention, she said that they were out of Absolut Vanilla so she used plain vodka with vanilla extract! Seriously?! I said no wonder it tastes like soap! She changed it to the one that my friend had, but why on earth would she not tell the customer that she was making that substitution! The buffalo chicken bacon dip was good, but the lobster roll was under par. read more

After a great night four of us went out for dinner. We ordered drinks cocktails off of the menus and no one loves there drinks and the wrong flavors were overwhelming the drink. One was full of basil and not drinkable. Then we got the chips and 7 dust dipping sauce which was the highlight of the night along with the truffle fries and wings! These were all amazing! Then we got the bacon burger which had uncooked bacon on it and too many flavors and sauces which mad the bun soggy. The duck quesadilla had so much slaw on top which was so liquidly that it made them soggy. The Pappardelle was a big mess as the bottom of the plate was in cooked cooked noodles that were hard. The only person in the group who enjoyed their meal got a plain burger with cheese and fries. This place has a great menus with a lot of flavors which we all wanted to love, but we either came on the wrong night or the cook has a hard time executing this great menu. The only reason why I didn't give this place one star was because of a great waitress, the truffle fries and chips! Plus the manager walked over and asked us how we were doing a comped the bacon burger because of the rare bacon. read more

I've had mixed experiences here.... Food can be hit or miss......Came once before closing with my elderly mother and I was under the impression they closed at 10 that night but it wasn't until we sat down at 8:50 that our server told us they closed at 9 and we had 5 minutes to order.... Going out to eat with an elder is difficult and we would've appreciated the heads up before we were seated. read more

Paragon is a hidden gem you should find. The food and service are definitely 5 star. Beer and wine selection is top notch as well.

Good food and even better craft beer. A great stop for a burger and a pint! The only negative is that they close the kitchen early and have a limited menu at night after 9pm. read more

Great place for bar food and a beer! It's hard for me to chose between the BaconEater burger, fish tacos or Korean tacos. Fried Calamari, Voodoo wings and Bavarian Soft Pretzels are our favorite apps. We love the extensive beer choices too. The best part though is the service. We have become regulars here because of the great staff! Also, in the nicer weather, nothing beats sitting out on their patio. We can even bring our dogs! read more

Came for the craft beers. No better variety within 10 miles. Little did I know that they have a gourmet menu of bar food and dinner entrees to match the best restaurants in the area. This is not bar food! It's delicious! 20 beers on tap , IPAs were mostly from Local micro breweries which are outstanding, and also had my favorite-HeadHigh fromKane! There is a mixologist here- Sherman- that is a bit of a legend for his creative concoctions; makes drinks that won't be found anywhere else locally. Dom and Abby were the other bartenders tonight and I never had to wait for a refill. Our server Michelle, a Rutgers grad student was enthusiastic and attentive, making sure that we were happy. Management were always present and made sure they always stopped by our table and other patrons to be sure we were satisfied. Usually you don't get that at most restaurants, never mind at bars. Overall, great spot that I love visiting. read more

Great to see them finally open again. They have an extensive drink list for cocktails as well as a good selection of draft beers. The crispy chicken sandwich was amazing and the chicken was definitely fresh and prepared/ cooked in house. It was phenomenal and I would definitely recommend it. read more

A little too hipster for me, but not bad. Decent selection of beer and pretty good service at the bar.

Awesome spot. Great selection of craft beer and spirits, laid back atmosphere and a great location right on the circle in Clark.

The two stars is strictly for good service. The food is poorly presented and horribly prepared. I had the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken was super stringy and the bread was burnt to a crisp. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos. read more

Ive been coming to Paragon for over 4 years now. The food is always great, especially the wings which have to be some of the best around. Besides that, you can't go wrong with the tacos and burgers. But I can keep going because chef Juan has done an unbelievable job with the new menu. SO you can order small pizzettas and other appies and be very happy. This place also has some of the best tap lists in the state and a great bar scene ( can't wait to get back to that after covid). The outside is great as well and they have done a great job of spacing out tables so me and my family feel safe. The staff is so good, we always get great service. This is the go-to spot when staying local and hope to continue this spot for years to come. Now more than ever small businesses need us, support local!!! read more

It use to be a lot better options bout 3 years ago when I went. Not as good as I remember. The mouse is still good though.

had a reservation for 8 people. place was pretty empty. we scan the menu and we placed our orders. the waiter came back and told my husband the burger he ordered wasn't available and hands him a sheet of paper that is a make-shift menu. so my husband picks something else. the waiter comes back a few minutes later and tells my son and daughter that their orders were no longer available. they had just sold the last greek chicken platter and last burrata with pesto parpadelle. WHAT!! do they pre-make a certain number of these items and then sell out!! they are full of ______! they said the online menu had not been updated. so why are you giving us the scan for the online menu?? food was totally overpriced and NOT good. Do not waste your money. read more

One of the finest dinner experiences ive had. The staff especially katie m. and sherman were top notch in regards to pairing the right craft beer with the perfect entree. This was my daughter & I 2nd visit & it was equally great as the first time. The service was warm, friendly and professional. The food was outstanding, the first time I got the Lamb burger it was delicious. My daughter got the wild boar burger which was so tasty. We both had the french onion soup and really enjoyed it. This last visit I got the potato leek soup which was awesome, my daughter had the caesar salad which she really enjoyed. Our entrees were really fantastic I couldn't help myself so I got the wild boar burger, it is super flavorful & cooked to perfection. My daughter was blown away by the mushroom ravioli dish. She said it was perfect & one of the best ravioli dishes she ever had. She loves ravioli so it is saying quite a bit. The sauce was so delicious, the fresh figs mixed with mushrooms over th he ravioli were a gre as t surprise, it really pulled the dish together. We will be back a lot , so far it has been only for lunch. My daughter just gave me my first Granddaughter so we have not had the chance to have dinner here yet. We definitely will soon!!! read more

I met some friends for lunch on Sunday and was very happy with the food and atmosphere. We ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer to split, which was perfect. The flavors all go together nicely and the mayo for dipping is delicious. I had the spicy tuna poke for my meal, but it is on the small bites plate. It was very filling and not too spicy. We finished the meal off with coffee and a piece of carrot cake to share. The cake was good, but the candied nuts on top really made the dish. This place was packed the entire time we were there, so if you go on a Sunday, make a reservation. read more

I've drove past this place so many times and I finally got to try it!!! To start, the place itself is very nice and has indoor and out door seating. Many beers and cocktails to choose from which is great. We started with buffalo chicken dip-if you like spicy and creamy it's definitely a dip for you. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were seasoned very well. I tried the chicken and bacon ranch waffle and I would highly highly recommend it-so much flavor! The service was so fast and our waiter was amazing and attentive. Overall it's a nice place and would recommend for a casual dinner/lunch. read more

****Updated**** Have been here more since my first review. Quality of food is definitely starting to decline. It's still a nice place but I hesitate to go there due to inconsistency in food quality. My first review was. 5 star but now it's just another average place. Hope it improves. The staff is still friendly and helpful but I haven't seen the owner in a while. have been here over 5 times already. every visit, I made sure to get something different. each time the food was made well, tasted great, and came out of the kitchen without much of a wait. my visits were during different times of the day. early lunch, early dinner, and late dinner on a Saturday night. the food, service, and speed of the kitchen was consistent each time. pricing is in the correct range. the prices are a few dollars more (2-5$) than if you were to go to a chain restaurant. and the food is superior. the complaints i have are minor and only reflect my personal preference. 1. onion soup although tasted great was a very small portion.2. i would have liked to see the pork belly (which was delicious) served as one piece of pork rather than 4 thick cut slabs. and less belly, more veg on that dish. but that's it. personal preference. the chef comes out to great customers and ask them how everything is. he is friendly and warm and you can tell he is being genuine. he is passionate about his cooking and it shows when you taste thee food he prepares. read more

Tried the brunch today with two friends. $25 for brunch and $15 for endless bloody maries and mimosas. Some highlights: -Eggs benedict was cold, and the English muffin underneath had soaked with moisture and then dried. It was like cutting through rubber--impossible. I had my friend try as well with no success. The ham on the muffin was hard with an inedible edge, and the egg was cold and solid through. -Bacon--how can you screw up bacon? By not cooking it enough, letting it reach room temperature and dry out a bit, and then serving it. It was like chewing through a bandaid. -Sausage should be easy, and it was! They literally opened the box and put it out. I'm sure it was cooked, but not this morning. All of the deserts were left out the entire 2.5 hours that my friends and I were there. They served little cups of peanut butter mousse that had warmed up and turned into something resembling the consistency of loose phlegm. I enjoyed the lukewarm cannoli, but only took one bite because I don't like diarrhea. They open at 11:30, we were there at 11:30. This was not excusable. For $40, this was a crime. And of course my girlfriend didn't let me complain when the chef came around, so I am doing it on Yelp. PS: We have been here a few times at night for drinks and appetizers. I thought it to be a very nice spot, but the shamelessly expensive badness of our experience today overshadows anything positive that I have had to say about this place. read more

I had to download yelp just because of this place. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing service. I stopped in after work with a couple coworkers. I have to say, this place is amazing. The food is phenomenal. They honestly take pride in ever aspect of the food, from the ingredients to the presentation. The drinks are amazing. The creativity behind the drinks is reason enough alone to visit. Never mind the service. Frankie, Shannon, and Alex all guided us through a perfect experience. The take the time to find out what you like, and make it even better. Favorite items were the tuna tar tar flat bread and my drink was the south side julep. Make it a point to visit you won't be disappointed. read more

We have now eaten there multiple times. Overall service has improved from when they first opened. I could eat the tuna tar tar flat bread until the end of time, and my DH who refers to himself as an Onion Soup aficionado says that Paragon's is the best he has ever had. The food is consistently great, and the beer selection is extensive. read more

Paragon has a bit of a split personality. It's a great bar and an ok restaurant. The craft beers, whiskey list and bar food are as good as it gets. The wings and burgers are amazing. The Ghost Pepper Quesadilla and flat breads are also excellent. I love hanging at the bar. The restaurant side is good but a little lacking. The service always seems slow regardless how busy the dining room is. Entrees are good but they don't deliver at the level that the bar food does. read more

Went with 4 adults and 5 kids and everything from the service to the apps, kids meals, and Entrées were excellent! Our top "must gets" among all the food we ordered were the Truffle/Parm fries and the Potato gnocchi with scallops--heaven! We will definitely be back! read more

Everyone rants and raves about this place, I don't see it. I find it to be good food, price is ok and a nice atmosphere. I do not like that the craft beers are so expensive. I'm pretty sure you can get the same beers a few bucks cheaper at any other comparable bar. It is convenient, I do like the buffalo wings. Probably the most favorite on the menu for me. Short rib sandwich is good as well. I'll be back I'm sure one day but it doesn't top my list. Staff is kind as well. read more

Here again and the service is always great. Raul and Mike always hook it up. Great beer, great atmosphere. One of my favorite local places to come for great beers and awesome food. Very welcoming place with good service. I never fail to leave with a full stomach and some good laughs. Was one of our favorite go to places, especially to bring clients. We were very disappointed recently. Only 2 tacos per order for the shrimp taco and for the fish taco meals. It used to be three & we didn't notice a reduction in the menu price. A third of the meal was gone. They were heavily covered with the slaw which was saturated. In the past, the slaw was crisp & lightly tossed in the aioli. The fish was not the same taste or quality as in the past. The french fries also seemed different and not quite as good as in the past. Thought there were changes in ownership and cooking staff so perhaps that's the cause. Hope this was just an off day. read more

Paragon - Gee, review appears to have gone MIA. BTW 3 people in office recall always having 3 tacos @ lunch, not 2. Ate 2 & took 3rd home. - New American Near Me - Clark, New Jersey

Sangria was the best part. The burger was great, until that night when the salt factor kicked in and all the water in the world couldn't quench my thirst. Haha. Not fun!! It was on the pricey side but the staff was attentive and it's an easy access location. There's also nightly events, still deciding if I would give it another chance tho :/ read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times and it has been an okay experience; however, my most recent experience was incredibly disappointing. My friends and I ordered truffle fries to start, and the person who brought them to our table spilled the garlic aioli all over me. I understand it was an accident, but at that moment I was particularly upset because it was my first time wearing a jacket and it cannot be thrown in the washer. I rushed to the bathroom to try to clean up and a lady asked me what happened. I told her, and she said that at least I'll get a free meal out of it. When I got back to the table the manager offered me a free drink or dessert to remedy the situation, instead of discounting my meal or comp'ing it. He came back with a can of beer, but I don't even drink beer! It is NOT okay to assume that I will just drink whatever he gives me. He ended up giving it to my friend and said it would be on the house, but he tried charging us for it later. Luckily we checked the receipt. When I told him I don't drink beer he offered me a cocktail. He ended up giving me a "mocktail" because I don't drink alcohol at all, but really he should have just given me what I originally ordered and not push new stuff on me. Pushing alcohol and desserts on a customer that didn't plan to order either was wrong. Later on when I got home I felt a need to check my credit card balance to make sure everything was as it should be, and the restaurant charged my card twice. One of the transactions, for a higher and incorrect amount, appears to have been voided. I should have been notified by our server that I would see the second charge and be given an explanation. It should not come as a surprise after I leave the restaurant. On top of all that my avocado fillet dish was bland and overpriced. I added salt in an attempt to give it some flavor. Paragon is not worth visiting again. read more
