Decent appetizers and main courses. Service was slow and the place is very noisy. I ordered the hanger steak on mushroom risotto and it was prepared flawlessly. read more

Great atmosphere and beer selection. Fish tacos and truffle fries were awesome! If I find myself in NJ again I will be back!

We loved Paragon. We came here for date night last weekend. Our server was extremely knowledgeable. Not only did he recommend beers for us, but we took all of his recommendations for our meal as well. Ultimately, we decided to share some appetizers. First, we had the buffalo chicken bacon dip and the wings. As per our server's recommendation, we went with the voodoo sauce and the garlic parmesan.. all I can say is "DELISH!" - you won't be disappointed. We then moved on to the burata and beer clams - both of which were great too. Also, I should note that the atmosphere is great. We sat in the bar area, but the restaurant side looks nice and classy too. All in all an awesome experience. We will definitely be back! read more

I went to Paragon for the first time last night, based off the positive reviews. The food was very good, I will say that..a little pricey. Other than that, it was very loud, I had to yell to the person at the same table as me. It took 25 minutes to get our appetizer, which was simple edamame, before we could take a bite of that our food arrived as well. After we ordered our food we barely saw our waiter again, he asked if the food was good as soon as it was placed in front of us and that was the last we saw him. We had to keep fining waiters passing to get their attention for things we needed. read more

Excellent food, wonderful staff. I have ordered lunch take out and have filled up a Growler. Each experience has been fantastic! The food was out of this world. The office got a turkey burger, the pretzel app, and the crab and shrimp dip. Everyone was raving about their dish. We will def order from here again! Kudos Chef Eric, you truly have a knack for flavor profiles. read more

Paragon continues to be a fantastic spot and they just keep getting better! Not only is Paragon's selection of beer and cocktails amazing, but the food is wonderful, creative, and unlike anything else around. Honestly though, what tops both the beverages and the food, is the team that makes this one of our very favorite spots. Elia and the guys/gals at the bar can't be beat...such wonderful people and they run that bar like a well oiled machine...with charm and character. The manager is so incredibly hard working, and yet he always finds the time to say hello and to make sure that everything is up to snuff. Although we tend to bend his ear excessively, he seems to appreciate our input. We adore you guys!!! Keep up the amazing work! read more

Came in with hopes, ordered Burrata, and it came out with a crisp and the cheese was so cold, it was not that creamy texture you expect. Had the de-constructed Caesar salad, no problems. The Duck Quesadilla was spicy as expected and I found piece cartilage in a slice. Took it off bill, waitress slow to clear table between courses. Wife found pen in menu, after marking up here blouse. After a brief discussion, they agreed to pay for dry cleaning. Happy Memorial Day read more

As someone who had a love for Paragon, it pains me to write that I will most likely no longer be returning. What made Paragon so appealing was the hand crafted burgers, which are now no better or different than any establishment serving burgers. Other items on the menu aren't as good as they used to be, as the quality of the food and/or preparation has gone downhill. The beer list too was not nearly as diverse as it once was. Not sure what happened, but this is a sad day. Paragon used to be on a level of its own, a restaurant where items on the menu were elevated higher than other place- now it just unfortunately blends in with every other restaurant. read more

We were seated between a party of 20 in a room and the live entertainment. I could not hear the people at my own table!! The manager came to apologize, however, it would have meant MUCH more if he had reseated us. Which he did to the family with 2 kids that was seated there before us! But for the 3 20 somethings? We were not reseated despite other tables being open. Got our food to go because of how absolutely insufferable it was. Very rude to think the younger crowd would just "deal with it" read more

Pretty nice spot right off the parkway in Clark. The inside is a nice upscale, trendy pub with a modern twist to bar food. Came here on a Sunday and service was great.. It wasn't too busy and they had a brunch Buffett going on. We ordered off the menu and ordered some craft beers with the buffalo wings and beer dipped wings which were my favorite and also the buffalo chicken bacon dip. For the entree we all had the paragon burger. The burger was delicious. I ordered it medium with bacon and cheddar cheese. I will be coming back with my fiancé so that she can try it. I got the Pb brownie to go ..def worth the calories. read more

I feel as though I want to give this place another try. The food was good, but not magical. I can't give a review on any of the beer or cocktails at the moment because I'm pregnant and therefore, alcoholically useless. They seemed to have a pretty decent selection though. Food is the area in which I shine for now... My husband and I started with the calamari which was pretty good. I liked that there was a kick to the dish between the marinara sauce and cherry peppers. A little greasy though. We both ordered the Wild Boar Burger. It was an okay burger but we were underwhelmed by the toppings which included pepper jack cheese, pineapple, and jalepeno & bacon salsa. They all melded together so we couldn't identify each of the particular flavors which was disappointing. When we ordered we imagined we'd be able to taste sweetness from the pineapple or salty spice from the salsa. It just fell flat. However, the meat itself was good. I think I'd give this place another shot Our waiter was lovely and personable but at times bordered on salesman. read more

Underwhelming first experience at Paragon which means there likely will never be a second. I went into this dining experience not having done my research so that was likely my first mistake. I ordered my usual, an old fashioned. It was horribly made so the waitress was nice enough to give me a different drink. The buffalo wings are super spicy, the dry rub wings are not my thing so I knew I wouldn't like them, but the meat and cheese plate was interesting. The jam was yummy when mixed with the prosciutto and bri cheese. Nomnom... My brisket sandwich was good but nothing to rave about. Don't think we'll be returning. read more

Pretty pricey and the service takes awhile. The food is good, but compared to my first visit the quality declined.

Amazing!!! Beers and food are both thoughtful and on point.. Brielle, the bartender, is very knowledgable, very friendly, and just an all around good person. Well done Paragon! read more

Glad I decided to make a reservation, when we got there they were not taking anymore walk-ins. Despite the little wait, especially for it being Father's Day, the service and food were good. The manager apologized and compensated us. Enjoyed all of our meals, except the chicken and waffles. My husband wasn't pleased with it. We would definitely go back! read more

After having dinner here on Saturday night, I'm adding the buffalo chicken mac and cheese bowl and beer burger to my list of items worth getting again. So good! The duck quesadilla is still my favorite, but I was craving a burger and so glad I got one. I was also a big fan of the seasonal (pumpkin and oktoberfest) beers they currently have on tap. read more

Excellent service. Our server knew everything about each beer! I'm very picky, so four stars is great in my book, but isn't say uchi or a alma. We got the duck quesadillas, spicy without taking over your whole pallet. Wish they came with something, fries or a small salad or just something else but amazing! read more

I always enjoyed going to this establishment as the food has always been stellar. I don't recall the last time I've been but it's been a while. I thought I would take someone there for Easter so I made a reservation for 5:30p. They told me that they were serving a buffett with brunch/lunch choices for $40/person. I thought twice about it but remembered how good the food was so I confirmed. I got a call 20 minutes later asking if I could make it in at 5p given there are 2 seatings and the food will be fresher. I agreed. We got there and there was only one other family getting ready to leave. No one else was there and it looked like they were breaking things down. Clearly, there were no seatings. I felt had. The place looked decrepit and the buffet was served in their dark bar area. It was my fault that I didn't turn around and go elsewhere but I forged on. The food was awful. The omlets and the meatballs - with no pasta - were cold. The salad was gloppy. The chicken was dry, the potatoes gratin were gone and there were no ribs. The only item that was decent was the shrimp. In fact, half of the buffet was gone. The pastries/desserts were what you would see at a middling hotel. In addition, the waiters started lining up for food while my friend and I were getting ours. Very awkward. For $40/person, I was expecting so much more and I was so very disappointed. "I ate the steak," so I paid, but I told the manager this was a money-grab and someone should have been honest with us as soon as we got there. He gave us a $20 coupon for future use, but I will never go there again. You shouldn't, either. read more

Peej and I have been here a handful of times already and they always deliver consistent good food and service. We usually eat in the bar area and order beer, a featured cocktail, and always the buffalo chicken dip. I plan on trying everything on their appetizers menu because everything is flavorful and delicious. Great place to grab for food and drink! read more

This place is solid. Came here for a birthday with a group of 6, the space itself is big...and gets pretty packed. But the waitstaff were all super friendly and attentive. I had the chicken and waffles and the pecan pie martini (drinks were pricey given the location) - both were delicious although the chicken was a tad dry. With all of the other favors going on in that dish it kind of concealed that. My friends got the duck quesadilla, the steak, pork chops, short ribs. All of it was okay - the quesadilla didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Overall it was good, but didn't knock my socks off. I would come back to try more, though. Very interesting food combinations and what looks to be a pretty good brunch deal. read more

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and got the chance last week. Will definitely be back. Can't comment on the inside because my friend and I sat outside, but on quick glance it looks really nice. The fried calamari appetizer was big enough to share and they put mixed color cherry peppers in. I have never had it like that and it was delicious! The Cobb salad was also big enough to share (with leftovers for both!) and I have to say was one of the best I have ever had. Fresh, delicious, just all around good. Will definitely go back! read more

I've been a long time customer of Paragon, and have supported them throughout the pandemic with many take out meals. I called today to make reservation for outdoor dining, said we were very flexible with timing and could come any time that they had availability for us. I received a call reconfirming the reservation and arrived at the time we had been given and were then told that no tables were available outside, as they do not count the tables?? We were offered a table indoors but declined as we had specifically made a reservation for outdoor seating. Why take reservations if you do not "count the tables" to accommodate those you know who are coming and who you had reconfirmed the reservation with two hours prior? We were so disappointed and drove down the road and had a lovely dinner outdoors at another restaurant who seated us right away. read more

Came out here for lunch during a week. I thought the atmosphere wold be more modern but reminded me of an older pub. Beer selection on tap was amazing and I would definitely come back here just for beer selection. I ordered at the bar and recommendation for a salad was a steak salad. Salad was just k nothing over the top and pried at 17 dollars. Again if u are here for a beer definitely worth checking out. read more

Met up with an old friend here because it's close to her work, but I was a little bit disappointed. It was very quiet because it was early. We started with some drinks. She got apple&cranberry mojito and I ordered lavender bee. Hers is a very non-traditional mojito and it was interesting. I didn't get quite a lot of lavender flavor from my drink, and it was very heavy on the tequila end. I think my fav was the complimentary chips and dip- very crispy and flavorful. We started with the chicken bacon dip. It was a huge plate-- big enough for me as an entree with leftover. It's too poultry. I know it's chicken and it's supposed to have poultry flavor, but I just don't like that flavor at all and the bacon part didn't seem to help. For entrees I had the pork belly and my friend ordered boneless braised short ribs. Both dishes were overly salty and greasy, so I ended up drinking a lot of water. Our waiter was not very attentive, so my glass stayed empty most of the time. I was expecting a lot more from their food than just simply salty and boring sauce. At the end, I kinda felt that we were pushed out of the restaurant. After paying the bills, our waiter took everything away in less than a second including my glass of water. Seriously, can't we have a couple of more minutes sitting here drinking water after our meals? read more

Service was 5 stars. Beer menu was 4.5 Stars disappointed that there was not local micro brews like 2 Ton or Cypress. But the food was lacking. Fried Calamari was swimming in grease so bad that the brown bag that they were on could not soak it up. Wings were good but nothing to write home about. Was disappointed in the Crab Ceviche Taquitos mostly because they were made with flour tortillas and not corn. Entrees were good no issues there but your dessert selection was as bad as the appetizers. The color of the carrot cake less then desirable, mini Apple tart looked old, cheese cake was decent and your mud jar which we ordered stayed in the jar. Did I mention great service and good beer? read more

Great place. Had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were awesome. Just a note...shrimp is stuffed in the crab cake not on the side or on top (menu description is a little deceiving). Still very tasty. House Cabernet wine is very good too. Their peanut butter brownie dessert is awesome. Will be back again. read more

Great service and delicious food is enough reason to recommend this cool eatery! The folks at Paragon really went out of their way to ensure that my family and I had a top-notch experience. Our server, Celina, was everything you want in a server; patient, informed, friendly. The food was served quickly. We ordered all tapas; Tuna Tartare flatbread that had just enough punch to get you started. Then the fried calamari and charturie and cheese plate paired with a nice Malbec rounded out the evening. We recommend this restaurant not only for the hep crowd, but for folks with kids as well. read more

OK, let me start by saying, I LOVE THIS PLACE! New to town, but not new to the business. I used to live in Randolph and frequented their Morris Tap & Grill location in Randolph, NJ and loved it as well. Thank goodness they are a mile from my home! Last night was my first night without work or kids, so we decided to try out Paragon Tap & Table. If first impressions are lasting impressions, this place is a winner. Clean, warm, inviting! Walked in to the restaurant and wow, nice decor. Casual, but appeared upscale. The bar area was awesome with plenty of seating available and TVs to watch whatever game happens to be on at the moment. The main dining area was very well organized and didn't feel cramped at all. There was a small closed off room for private groups that would be great with a few couples gathered for an occasion. Enough about that, food and drink! First of all, if you like craft beers, this place is for you! The drink menu was bigger than the food menu. So many selections, I didn't know where to start. There was something for everyone. Beer not your thing? Wine and full bar is also available with plenty of happy hour specials. We were waited on promptly and drinks from the bar came out very fast. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken dip for an appetizer and was absolutely delicious. Not too spicy for the light at heart, but tasty enough for everyone. Wish I had taken a photo of it! For entrees, we chose the Tuscan Stack and the Bacon Lover Burger! Everything was cooked to perfection. The Tuscan Stack looked delicious with yummy gooey cheese dripping out of the end of the sandwich, and the bacon on my burger was as thick as 3 slices of traditional bacon put together. Dessert... who had room for it? They all looked delicious, but we passed on the tempting morsels and had another drink instead. Overall #ParagonRocks and we will be back very soon. read more

Everything was firing on all 6 cylinders when we came for our first dinner. The food, decor, beer, service, cost, and ambiance all made for a delightful experience. Our server,Jacklyn, was on point with her suggestions for our beer and wine selections. All of us were able to sample our beer selections. Nice touch. Food came out quickly. Which we appreciated because we had theater reservations. Presentation of the food was very upscale. Food was excellent. Prior to serving they brought a portion of potato crisps with a lovely dressing. Then two of us had the burgers. Southwest and bacon. A third had the veggie burger. The fourth had the steak salad. All were pleased. We all had their delicious French fries. Plus we learned about the other dinning events such as the buffet brunch. We'll be back. read more

I've been here four times, twice to eat, and really want to give this place higher stars but I can't. First, the beer selection here is out of this world. Coming from the city where there is a plethora of bars with craft brews, I was a little scared to move to the suburbs. But Paragon has an amazing selection of beer (so does Wine Anthology next door!), you will find something you like no matter what kind of beer you prefer. I have always gotten the flights, and have liked everything I've ordered except for one. I got the 'breakfast beer' from the cask the last time. When I think of breakfast beer I think of stouts and porters, but this was a really light lager that tasted SWEET, like it had maple syrup in it. So I've come here twice to eat, and was underwhelmed both times. The first time I think they hadn't been open for that long, and there was a serious miscommunication about who would be taking our table, and we waited for twenty minutes before we could get anyone's attention (to clarify, not because they were super busy, but because they were all congregated together talking). I liked the chips dusted in I don't know how many powders. Got a turkey burger which was under cooked. Second time I was there, no chips :( Got the pork stick appetizers, which was good but too salty. My boyfriend loved them though, so maybe it's me! I also got some pasta dish that was apparently forgettable but not terrible. Overall, I'll definitely come back for the beer, but probably not the food. read more

The food is always good, and our server was great, but the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. My friends and I arrived for dinner at 6:00 pm. Within an hour, the music was so loud-we couldn't have a conversation. The restaurant was unable to adjust noise level. Had I realized that they were going to have "music bingo" so LOUD, I would have rethought dinner. I left with a headache. It's such a shame but we will be finding a new restaurant for our get togethers. read more
