The back patio is so beautiful, here's a picture of my fun friends and I enjoying it!

This is a restaurant that never fails to impress us. My husband and I came 5 years ago for one of our early dates (We had a server named Jackson we will never forget) it was such a memorable experience, we have consistently came back. We've celebrated our engagement, marriage anniversary, date nights and friend dinners. You name it. Last night, we came randomly for a dinner date and we talked about how the location is made to highlight PARAGARY'S! There's nothing else in this area that stands out like this restaurant. We always enjoy the food and the drinks. Service is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The feel of the place is always so relaxed and enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband made the joke "and when the bill comes, I don't even care because I genuinely enjoyed every minute here!" Ha! We are so lucky to have a restaurant that never fails, and holds so many memories for us. Wishing for many many years of successful business!!! We love this place! - Cassandra & Carson, forever customers

We had a reservation at 6 and we're seating immediately when we got there. The food was really good. The pizza are good value and the pasta was good but kind of overpriced. The desert was really good and would like to try their other options. I would come back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside and outside is really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We would've sat outside but it was way too hot. Our nice waiter was attentive and even put the shades down when we sat so the sun wouldn't bother us.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was absolutely stunning and today's weather was perfect for their outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice simple table setting with a small brunch menu and an expansive wine and drink list.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great for brunchers! My only complaint would be that service is slow but friendly and courteous. The food was great and we really enjoyed the lemon-blueberry pancakes. A burst of lemon in every bite. Tangy, sweet, and delicious. Definitely a nice brunch spot..

The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. Our party went for brunch and tried the breakfast potatoes, chicken apple sausage, strawberry coconut French toast and the avocado toast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance on the patio is chic, calming, and beautiful with water features crackling in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The greeter and bartender service was excellent but our server was not warm or inviting. He made us feel like a burden and barely checked on us. I'll try again and ask for a different server.

My significant other and I came here on a Monday night for a date night! We had no reservation and got here around 7pm and were seated immediately! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was nice, it felt very classy and kinda old timey? but i loved it and they also had little bag stands you can ask for, for the girlies who would like to hang their bags! so cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Andrea, was very nice and attentive! She came around and checked up on us multiple times and recommended a few items on the menu that we might enjoy and she was able to answer all of our questions! Thank you Andrea for having such good energy and providing a good experience! We got: - Foccacia bread: I wasn't sure if I liked this bread or not at first, there was an herb in it that I couldn't identify but it reminded me of vietnamese pho! I ended up enjoying it and I really liked the side cheese with it. My s/o didn't really care for it and I do wish it came out warm! That would have made it ten times better. - Affrogato: My cute s/o didn't realize that affrogato is coffee and vanilla ice cream and we both aren't the biggest coffee drinkers at all so we both personally enjoyed the ice cream more then with the coffee I got: - Short Rib Raviloli: This was tonight's special menu and I was so glad I got it! It was super good, packed with flavor, and not too heavy and the sauce that was all over the plate was good! My s/o got: - New York Steak: He gave me a bite of the steak and what can i say? it was a perfectly cooked and seasoned steak and he enjoyed it too [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a perfect start to our date night and I definitely want to come back during the day time because the outside looks gorgeous!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time at Paragarys! Love the lowlit, romantic ambience. Indoor and outdoor! The holiday decorations were so fun. Cocktails were delicious and refreshing! Was hoping for some sweet holiday themed ones tho! I believe our server's name was Lamar? I'm not sure but he was so great! So hospitable and helpful. Truly great. Started off so strong with the mussels omg so good that broth!!! The mac and cheese, broccolini and pizza yum!!! Was hoping for the pizza to have a sauce though I don't believe it did. Enjoyed the wine list! And our server helped me out with tasters! That dessert was truly the most special thing I had, I think about it all the time. Fudge and honeycomb and delicious ice cream. Something really special in that oh my!!

I've always heard of Paragary's but never got around to going until now. I was hesitant because I dislike difficult street parking, especially on the weekend. Thankfully, I was able to snag a spot in the small free parking lot across the street. My friends ended up having to find street parking a little ways down, even early at 10:30 a.m. We had brunch reservations, which you can easily make online via OpenTable. My first impression was how cute and vibey the restaurant is, even more so in the back outdoor area. I loved all the greenery, waterfall fountains, and the fireplace. It's a very pretty spot for brunch, and the outdoor heating lamps make it cozy on a chilly morning. I also appreciated the bag hooks at every table. Service was excellent. Our server checked on us at all the right times, and we never felt rushed. Our drinks didn't all arrive at the same time, but at least our food did. I had a peach bellini and had no complaints. For food, I ordered my usual eggs benedict, which I like to get at any brunch spot. It was good and standard, tasting as expected. What would make me want to come back is to enjoy the outdoor seating again, though I am not sure I would go out of my way to return because of the parking and for average breakfast food, which didn't quite feel worth the price. Or maybe come back to try lunch or dinner. Regardless, it is a nice restaurant and a chill place for brunch with girlfriends.

This place is great for weekend brunch. It's been a while since I've been to Bacon & Butter, but I think the brunch here is just as tasty. Which is to say that it's among the best in town. There's no parking lot, so you need to find somewhere to park on the street. The restaurant itself wasn't busy when I arrived at 10a. And it didn't seem busy when I left either. They can accommodate large parties. - drip coffee: solid coffee - Pumpkin French toast: this was fantastic. It was nice and light. Not greasy at all. Not overly sweet. This is what I want when I order French toast. Probably among the best I've had. - Breakfast burrito: very enjoyable. Classic flavors done well. Nice and filling. - breakfast potatoes: these are served with many of the dishes (including inside the breakfast burrito). Delightfully crispy in the outside while creamy on the inside. Yummy seasoned salt. - bacon: I had a strip of bacon and it's good! Yes, bacon is always good, but despite its ordinary appearance, it was light and crispy even though I thought it was going to be a lot more chewy. I saw some complaints on other reviews about the speed of service. I was with a large party and was chatting away so I wasn't in a rush. I don't recall the food taking an unusually long amount of time. And our waiter checked on us at least twice while we were eating. The interior is nice. It has kind of an old timey ambiance in a good way. it's classy and clean. I'll definitely return for brunch. And I'm now very interested in dinner. The only question I have on my mind for brunch is whether I stray from the excellent dishes I already, or is I stick with the tried and true.

WHAT WE GOT: Hand cut Rose Mary Pappardelle, Muscovy Duck Leg Confit, Oven roasted meatballs. I had the pappardelle last time and was tempted to try something new but so glad i didn't! It was good with the pancetta and artichoke! A balanced and filling meal. No notes! My Fiance got the Duck, it was very tender no need for a knife. The Apples were a nice touch. He did say something about the wild rice had an odd after taste, but to each their own. Overall very satisfied with our choices. AMBIANCE/SERVICE: Very romantic! candlelit made it extra intimate. We always love the service, very kind waitress, i believe her name was Leah/Lea. I will say our food did take a while to come out but it was a Friday night at 8PM. I would recommend a reservation for Fri/Saturdays. Parking is limited so accommodate time to find parking. Spent about $107, including a glass of wine.

Visited on a Sunday morning for brunch! No wait and we were sat outside for our first time! The ambiance was nice! It's a must to sit outside for the experience. In terms of food. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and we had almond cake to start. The seasonal scramble came with potatoes and sourdough bread alongside some bacon. My bf ordered steak and eggs that's also came with potatoes! Service was great. Sweet staff. Food was yummy as well. I think the potatoes were my favorite thing and the jam for the sourdough was sooo good. I'd want to come here and try dinner for sure! Come here if you haven't yet

Beautiful restaurant but patio seating cannot be reserved. First come basis. Loved how the food wasn't overly seasoned. It's how I like it so it was perfect and can't wait to come back. The chicken was so moist and tasty! Loved the fettuccine with sea urchin pasta. Our server was attentive and kind. We had a great time.

Friendly staff and they were able to accommodate our group of 12. Between the 12 of us, we tried a decent amount of the menu. First and most significant, the place was so noisy that we could barely carry on a conversation. Adamo's is hardly the only noisy place in town, but they were up there with the very noisiest last night. With hard surfaces on the floor, walls, and ceiling, it was awful. Acoustic ceiling tiles would do wonders. One star off for cacophony. The food? Well, it had promise. My Carbonara tasted good but it would have been better had it been hot. It was almost hot in the middle but lukewarm on the outside. Similarly, my wife's Bolognese would have been good if it had been hot. The pasta also wasn't properly tossed with the sauce, so there were clumps of unsauced pasta. We believe the plates sat a while before being brought to the table. So although I desperately want to support a family-owned Italian place, they just didn't deliver a good experience last night.

We decided for our last night all together we would pick a highly rated one for a special meal. Magpie Cafe right in downtown fit the bill and we were thoroughly impressed by everything. We ordered just about every special plus many other dishes, some multiple, from appetizers through to desserts. It's in a beautiful area of the city, open to the street and green park. We opted to sit outside as it was a lovely evening. The beer menu had some regional favorites, all small and well chosen. For food we went all out, and I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Everything was so colorful and presented beautifully. Highlights were the pickles, fried asparagus, anchovies, and croquettes. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about our dishes, she added to the experience. If you're in the area, this restaurant is worth a stop. They even have a cafe in the airport!

The drink contained gin, strawberry syrup, and fresh lemon basil. It was light and refreshing and the perfect spring summer drink. Then we had the baby eggplant which was marinated in a soy glaze. It also had some sort of peanut sauce base. This was a delightful bite. Both of us were very impressed. The presentation was gorgeous. Clearly still on my eggplant craze. One of the reasons we went to Magpie was for the trout dip. In a shocking turn of events, they didn't have it. I think it was an old menu. Maybe their winter menu. This was a bummer. Instead, they had a salmon dip. We got that, and I wish it was more flavorful/smokey. Normally, I'm not a smokey seasoning person, but I think it goes nicely with fish. The chips though were really good. I love a kettle chip. I thought they would be thicker, since the dip was thicker. I'm glad they served the dip with the spoon. We also had the stone fruit salad. I was shocked it didn't come with a cheese, but after I tasted it, the creamy yogurt successfully filled that void. Once again, the plating was gorgeous. I think the peaches were good, but I can tell that later in the summer, these peaches will be even more delectable. I think the pistachios were an excellent choice to this salad. For my main course, I had the painted hills flat iron steak with a Chimichurri sauce and crispy smashed potatoes. The steak was well cooked, and with the seasoning of the chimichurri, it was a delightful bite. Sam had the gnocchi with pesto and fresh tomatoes. The gnocchi was fluffy. Both she and I thought that the pesto was good, but we both wish that we wish there was more of it. I love pesto though, so I am always going to think that. It came in dollops, rather than mixed in, so I think that was part of the problem. We also had to get dessert. I had the ice cream sandwiches. They were made with lemon thyme shortbread cookies with vanilla Guenther's Ice Cream. I wish it was a stronger vanilla taste or a flavored ice cream. The cookies were too good though. Sam had the lavender panna cotta. Normally I am not a huge panna cotta fan, but this one was delicious. It had such a strong lavender taste, in a good way. It kind of tasted like I was eating lotion because of the thickness of the panna cotta with the lavender flavor.

Their patio area is really cute, and they have plenty of seating both outside and inside. The only downside was the service. It took us over 15 minutes just to place our drink order, and then it took a while for our drinks to come out. Since it was a warmer day, it would've been nice to have water on the table right away. I actually received my food before I even got my water or the drink I ordered, which was a little disappointing. The good thing is once we finally placed our food order, it came out really fast! I ordered the Mexican Skillet, which comes with eggs, chicken chorizo, onions, peppers, pepper jack cheese, guacamole, tater tots, and a tortilla. It was really good! The only thing I felt it was missing was salsa. I think having salsa on top or even on the side would have made this dish even better and added that extra flavor it needed. We also tried the Chicken and Waffles, which came with southern fried chicken, pork sausage country gravy, a Belgian waffle, pecan butter, and maple syrup. The waffle was delicious, and the pork sausage gravy had a really good flavor. The portion was also very generous. I was only able to eat about half of my meal. Overall, the food was good, and the restaurant itself is really cute. The patio is a great spot to sit, especially on a nice day. However, the service was the biggest downside of our visit. Even after finishing our food, it took a while for our server to check on us. After getting our check, we also waited quite a bit for our to go boxes and eventually decided to just ask for them at the front because we had been waiting so long. The restaurant wasn't packed, so I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but I do think it's something to keep in mind if you're coming here. If you're not in a rush and want to enjoy a slower brunch, it could be a nice spot. The food was good, but because of the service, I'm not sure if I would come back.

Ella is an upscale restaurant with a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. I felt perfectly at ease wearing shorts and a polo, which speaks to how approachable the space is despite its refined reputation. Although I didn't order an appetizer, the staff surprised me with a complimentary cup of soup. It was delicious--rich, balanced, and a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the meal. For my main dish, I ordered the Crispy Fried Half Chicken with roasted garlic. It arrived with a small bottle of their house‑made hot sauce and was served in generous cuts: two drumsticks, a wing, and a breast (or thigh). The batter was beautifully flaky without falling apart, and the chicken itself was juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. The crisp coating practically melted before giving way to a light crunch, and the hot sauce added just the right amount of subtle heat. I enjoyed it so much that I found myself wishing for a dim corner where I could privately eat every piece straight off the bone with my hands. The next time you are in Sacramento, please visit Ella Dining Room and Bar.

This dish was perfect. The tomahawk was good, but not the best I've had. It contained a good amount of fat, which I had to trim off myself. I did enjoy the tenderness of the tomahawk. We will dine in again for another date night occasion.

The interior is dark and light simultaneously, with its rich textiles and colors, high ceilings and the large south-facing window on the long exterior wall. Really nicely done and quite inviting. Travis mixed up what could very well have been the best Old Fashioned we've ever had. It's not my preferred cocktail, but if more were like this one, that may be another story. I opted for the Kumquat Kiss, which was delicious and different. Besides that Old Fashioned, the Hash Brown Lyonnaise really stole the show. Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

The service was decent. They did forget to tell us about happy hour until we had ordered - but no worries. The space is well organized. Lots of dark woods and comfortable leather. My dad got the jambalaya and couldn't finish his - which is insanely rare for him. We started with the crab cakes to share and our food came out almost immediately after the crab cakes were served - it was A LOT of food at once! But it was all delicious so no complaints here! The fish was perfectly battered and their fries were absolutely delectable - both the fries and fish were perfect GBD. I tried a happy hour margarita which was good, very standard happy hour marg. My dad ordered a specialty beer which is definitely the way to go at this craft house. Our waitress was lovely, incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself is very cool - black seats and tables for a more intimate ambiance. They have great happy hour options so I would definitely take advantage of those!
