This is a small authentic Italian restaurant in Sac that was recommended by a coworker. Overall I liked how small and intimate the restaurant was (I don't like that I left there smelling like food though, that's my biggest pet peeve of smaller restaurants). Food: -fried octopus- 3/5 *I took away two points due to how oily it was. The flavor was amazing though and I loved how generous they were with the octopus portion -pasta- 3/5 quality noodles, good amount of meat but I just didn't love. It was overall a solid meal though

Adamo's is a great authentic Italian spot. I've gone many times over the years. In the last year or so, I feel like the service has been a little more hit or miss, but I think they have gotten back to solid ground lately. The food however is always spot on. Everything I have had has always been delicious - the stuffed pepper appetizers are especially good! They maintain such a cozy, authentic atmosphere inside, and I absolutely love dining in here. The topic of Italian food in Sacramento seems to be hotly debated, but I think Adamo's is consistently one of the best options. I will certainly continue to come back and stuff my face

We had such a wonderful time at Adamo's for their pasta cooking class! It was a fun and memorable experience, and a perfect way to celebrate mother's day. John, the owner, was an incredible instructor and guided us through some of the steps of making fresh raviol. We mixed the pasta dough, rolled it out and prepped the filling. The class was hands-on, engaging, and approachable for all skill levels. In addition to the cooking lesson, we were treated to a delicious cheese and jam appetizer, a fresh salad, and the opportunity to sample a couple wines throughout the class. The highlight, of course, was enjoying the ravioli we made ourselves, served with our choice between sauces. And it was honestly some of the best ravioli I've ever had! Between the fantastic food, excellent wine, and welcoming group atmosphere, this was such a special experience. We left full, happy, and excited to return next time for dinner!

Honestly, I prefer this place over Paesanos. Had a great experience from the time I was greeted at the door to the time I left with a happy stomach. Got here at 6:30 party of 2 and was able to snag the last two seats at the bar. The waitress Jade was super friendly and awesome! Everything hit the spot: Octopus Appetizer 9/10. Super buttery, crispy, and delicious House salad 9/10 loved the chilled red peppers Bolognese 9/10 my fat ass honestly wanted to order another one LOL Garlic bread 6/10 was aiiite. Cannoli 8/10 icing on the cake! Will try the carbonara and the bruschetta next! Also wanna try that salmon pasta. I'll be back forsure!

There's nothing I love more than delicious pasta, wine, and ambiance. Adamo's is doing everything right. The food in itself would get a from me. The service was incredible and I truly enjoyed every second of my visit. Can't wait to come back :)

I love freshly made pasta so I was excited to try Adamos. I had a reservation but they were busy so it took about 15 minutes to get seated. When I asked whether the carbonara or Alfredo was better our server was very confident in her response which I appreciated. I got the carbonara and really enjoyed it (though I wish the noodles were a little more al dente which I will ask for in future). My partner got the Bolognese, which he really liked. It had a good meaty flour, but wasn't a really overly rich. My friend got the pasta with the salmon and I had a taste of it. It was good, but I preferred the carbonara or the Bolognese. The side salad that came with the pastas was very fresh. We also had the arancini balls and the tiramisu which were both tasty but the pasta was the stand out. Staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to coming back again.

I only heard positive things of Adamo's and after a friend said they wanted pasta decided to come here. They have limited hours, so recommendations are highly suggested as it is a smaller restaurant. You may be seated at the bar if you dont have a reservation. We started off with risotto arancini with a cheese sauce, which comes in 3. I ordered the four cheese ravioli, which had a nice spicy kick to it. Not pictured, but included with our meal was a house salad and the bread. The ravioli was very cheese, and the pesto sauce was good as well. The drink menu consists mainly of wine, but we also ordered the italian cola which was refreshing. There were a lot of people but not too noisy where you couldnt have a conversation.

Adamo's Kitchen feels like a real neighborhood treasure -- cozy brick walls, warm lighting, and that "come-home" charm that instantly puts you at ease. The moment you sit down you know you're at a place that cares: handmade pasta, house sauces, and a vibe that blends casual comfort with real Italian spirit. The dishes here deliver big: the pappardelle Bolognese is rich and slow-simmered, the gnocchi or four-cheese ravioli melt with flavor, and the "sucio fries" -- crispy Kennebec fries topped with bacon, cheddar, poblano sauce, and sour cream -- are a surprisingly perfect start to any meal. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and even when the place fills up, there's a sense that each plate lands with care and honesty.

This place has been sitting on my list to go to for a while. It wasn't until my boyfriend was craving Italian food that I suggested this place. We were lucky enough to get seated in less than 5 mins on a Friday night without a reservation, although we were sat at the communal table. A small but cute place. It did take a while for food to come out but it was also packed. We started off with the bruschetta, which was all delicious. The pesto one needs to be reordered again cause it was so good. I ordered the carbonara and my bf ordered the four cheese ravioli with chicken. The carbonara was packed with so much garlic, I've never had so much garlic over power the saltiness of a dish. There wasn't a good balance between the two so this dish is a 3/10 for me. The four cheese ravioli however was really good and I wish I had gotten that instead. The spiciness isn't even that spicy and gives a good kick to the dish. We'll probably be back here for our next Italian craving but I will be ordering something else.

I went here for a date night, it was the absolute perfect vibe. The restaurant was dimly lit with warm lights. The host was very friendly, seated us right away since we had a reservation. Which I highly recommend because the whole place was packed! I saw a lot of people turned away because there were no tables open. Unless they were willing to sit at the bar. I will say this place prioritizes the experience rather than quick service. Which I liked, it's part of European culture! To take things slow and enjoy. Which has also been proven to help with digestion and prevent overeating. The entree reached the table in about 45 minutes after we had placed our order. In between that time we enjoyed the salad and some wine. Great place to enjoy conversation and the company you have. If you're in a rush, not the place for you! The food, INSANE. The pasta is perfectly cooked. The sauce is so rich, flavorful, and deliciously creamy. The chicken is seasoned and juicy. The garlic bread is crispy and warm! Made the wait worth it! I highly recommend this spot if you love pasta!! They even offer classes to teach you how to make pasta, if that's something you're interested in. All in all, would love to come back and be transported to Italy for a night again.

i love this place so much! we don't even eat italian food often but when we do, we only go here now! i usually get the ravioli - love that its a vegetarian option. my mom and husband also love their meals every time. seats do fill up fast so make a res or come exactly as they open!

Cozy little restaurant with warm lighting and the most welcoming and helpful service by Alize. Who gave the perfect recommendations of drinks to pair with our meal. Every single dish was incredibly delicious. Everything served was top tier. Even the salad served before the main dishes came out had us munching in silence. Which we finished eating before we realized nobody took any pictures.

Pasta was amazing! Every pasta order comes with house salad and garlic bread. We ordered the bolognese and salmon piccata. Both were delicious but the salmon piccata was my favorite. The bolognese ground beef and sauce was tasty and topped with a good amount of parmesan cheese, this dish cooled down pretty fast though. The salmon piccata had great flavor, it was citrusy but not too sour, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I love their homemade pasta, it is softer than most Italian restaurants but works well with all their pastas. We also ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and wished it came out first instead of with all our food so we had something to munch on. There was a variety of flavors for the bruschetta but our favorite was the fig and whipped ricotta! There's a small parking lot for Adamo's.

What are the best vegetarian options?

Hard to comment because their menu changes seasonally. Most of their dishes can be modified vegetarian. I really like the bruschetta and winter mushroom gnocchi.

Is it good for vegetarians who eat dairy and wggs?

I believe they have a margarita pizza. The servers are very helpful. I suspect accommodations can be made.

Do they offer gluten free options?

Yes we do our best to accommodate all food allergies. We currently offer both the risotto and meatballs with polenta as gluten free options. We do not have the capability to make gluten free pasta at this time.

Very family-owned vibes while still feeling nice and welcoming. Service was great throughout the meal, and our waiter gave us some really good recommendations and information about the menu. They also corked our wine and kept it on ice, which was a nice touch. To start, we ordered the fried stuffed ravioli and bruschetta. We were also given complimentary fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic, which was a great addition. The fried ravioli was very good, kind of like a fancier mozzarella stick, and the marinara it came with was flavorful and balanced. The bruschetta was perfect: crusty bread topped with sweet, fresh tomatoes. So simple but so good. For mains, we ordered the carbonara and the wild mushroom ravioli. The mushroom ravioli was excellent, meaty and earthy in an addicting truffle cream sauce where the truffle flavor really shines through. The carbonara came out extremely hot, so it was initially hard to fully taste the flavors, but once it cooled a bit it was delicious. Maybe it could've used a touch more salt, but still very good overall. The pancetta was nice too, maybe just a little crispier and more rendered would've taken it even further, but it still brought that fatty, salty flavor I love. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu along with the chocolate and caramel cannolis. The cannolis were good, not anything especially memorable, but still a nice treat. The tiramisu completely stole the show. It was made fresh, which I was initially unsure about since tiramisu usually sits for a while, but the texture was amazing because the ladyfingers still had a slight crispness to them. We took the rest home, and after firming up overnight it was somehow even better the next day. Honestly the best tiramisu I've ever had. Great food, great service, and I'll definitely be back, even though I'm usually not even a huge Italian food fan.

But every time I visit Paesanos I get both of those things. On my most recent visit to the restaurant, I had the pleasure of being served by Clemens. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find the perfect meal(Fettucine Arrositi) to fit my current dietary restrictions. He also helped my grandma find something on the menu that wouldn't be too carb heavy since she is diabetic. He was pleasant all around, he was patient with my grandma all night and made me feel like he truly valued our time and didn't rush us. He is everything you want in a server-kind,direct,knowledgeable, and dependable. I would come back any time just to get customer service like that. Now on to the food, I had the Fettucine Arrositi which I believe is their signature dish. I have had it before but this time it was especially delicious. The sauce has a flavor like no other pasta I've ever had it's rich but not too rich creamy but not too creamy and the thing that sets it apart from other creamy pastas is the subtle Cajun flavor. It tastes a bit like old bay and Tabasco to me with some other amazing things in it I'm sure but it was delicious 9/10 My grandma likes to order a lot of things for the table because she never got to have that so she ordered a bunch of things for herself to try and for me to finish. We had the meatballs and they were fantastic but she felt they were too big haha 9/10. Then we had the calamari which was my favorite of the appetizers we ordered. I'm hoping next time to try the polenta fries. Then for her main course my grandma had the wedge salad which she loved but she did mention she wished it had lots more bacon and I can't blame because I too always want more bacon on things. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back very soon.

We arrived at 6 PM without a reservation and were told the wait for an inside table for two would be about 30 minutes. We happily grabbed seats at the bar to wait and remained patient and understanding throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, after nearly an hour of being repeatedly encouraged to sit outside (despite clearly stating we'd prefer to wait for an inside table), we were told that indoor seating was reservation-only. Ironically, I was able to make a same-night dining room reservation on the app for 7:30 while at the bar. Problem solved, apparently--though that solution didn't seem to be well received. The biggest letdown, however, was the bar service. Our bartender was unfriendly, inattentive, never refilled our drinks or water-- while still checking on everyone else around the bar-- she intentionally skipped us multiple times, and gave the distinct impression that she'd did not want to serve us. Maybe because we were the only minorities at her bar...? Not to mention she looked super irritated when I asked for a water refill... after sitting there for over an hour! Who knows what her issue was but she was absolutely awful. It was my birthday (6/30), and after waiting an hour and a half just to be seated, I found myself wishing we'd celebrated elsewhere. The food may keep us coming back, but the service this time left a lot to be desired.

Waiter Sara (I think that was where name) she was very nice and felt no rush from her at all. Very attentive as well. Will def come back because of the nice service. Food: It was soo good. Not atonement but did have likable options. I had the ravioli of the day ( mine was stuffed with crab and shrimp with a white sauce 10/10 recommend. My husband got the 12 layer ravioli which was also very good 10/10. For appetizers we got the bread basket $5, beef tips $24, and fried calamari $18 all of it was good. Def worth a try prices are not bad and portions were perfect leaving us full but able to finish :) For us we will be coming back.

There are so many delicious menu items I'd like to come here again and again. We shared a delicious appetizer and then indulged in our favorite Italian main dishes. The "Jeanne" martini was scrumptious. The wines were spot on. This evening it was a toss up between going to Grange or here, totally different experiences with equally delicious food; parking was easier here. The acoustics are a little loud, mostly because people' are enjoying themselves and chatting it up.

Cory, the manager, checked in with us both times to make sure everything was going well. She was incredibly friendly and even made sure our parking was validated before we left, which was a thoughtful touch. My favorites are the Bruschette Assortite and, of course, the tiramisu. Both are absolutely worth ordering!

The bread, though an added surcharge, was warm, yeasty, and pleasant. The cons were more substantial. The fusilone in basil cream was okay: the sauce was tasty, but the pasta was slightly overcooked. The menu says the pasta is made in-house, though this dish did not have the texture or character I associate with fresh house-made pasta. The beet and arugula salad was straightforward. The dressing leaned acidic. Given personal preference, we did not hold that strongly against them, but it is worth noting for anyone who does not enjoy a sharp, mouth-puckering dressing on greens. The half roast pollo toscano was the biggest failure. It tasted old, dry, and lacked the easy-to-achieve magic that a good roast chicken can have. As a former chef, it had the texture of chicken cooked ahead and reheated for service. That technique can work, but it did not work here, or at least not on the night we ordered it. At $34, I do not expect unusual or stellar flavor combinations, but the protein needs to be cooked correctly. The nutmeg in the mashed potatoes was also a bit heavy-handed. I did not complain at the table because I do not like asking to be comped, especially in an industry as difficult as restaurants. But for the same reason, I would not feel right accepting a reduced check and then softening an honest review. I do not have anything against Il Fornaio, and I hope they improve, but this particular meal was disappointing.

I loved my Paloma. We had the four coarse tasting. For antipasti she had panzanella. I loved the smoked corn vellutata. This was a cool smokey corn soup. Very refreshing on a warm evening. For pasta she had bucatini ala Traponese. I really enjoyed agnolotti. It was wonderfully light but quite flavorful. For entrees she loved scallops. The pork loin was great for me. She loved her desert of ciambella while I savored bomboloni. The staff assisted us perfectly with helpful suggestions and prompt attention. The only minor concern was excess noise on the patio. We're getting older so for us the loud fan and a few loud other diners were a slight inconvenience, but overall our experience at Allora was superb. Thank you.

We got the three course option: antipasti, an entree and dessert. I picked the porchetta tonnato ( pork belly salad) for the antipasti, scallop for entree and ciambella for dessert. They also brought out palate cleansers and complimentary prosecco for our anniversary which was so appreciated. The scallop was the most tender scallop I've ever tasted, it just melts in your mouth and perfectly seared. The ciambella has limocrllo macaropone, so soft and not overly sweet on a layer of olive oil cake. Reservations are a must. I booked a week before hand and there were limited availability. I would definitely come back for a special occasion! The parking lot is TINY but there are plenty of street parking.
