Honestly, I prefer this place over Paesanos. Had a great experience from the time I was greeted at the door to the time I left with a happy stomach. Got here at 6:30 party of 2 and was able to snag the last two seats at the bar. The waitress Jade was super friendly and awesome! Everything hit the spot: Octopus Appetizer 9/10. Super buttery, crispy, and delicious House salad 9/10 loved the chilled red peppers Bolognese 9/10 my fat ass honestly wanted to order another one LOL Garlic bread 6/10 was aiiite. Cannoli 8/10 icing on the cake! Will try the carbonara and the bruschetta next! Also wanna try that salmon pasta. I'll be back forsure!

I love freshly made pasta so I was excited to try Adamos. I had a reservation but they were busy so it took about 15 minutes to get seated. When I asked whether the carbonara or Alfredo was better our server was very confident in her response which I appreciated. I got the carbonara and really enjoyed it (though I wish the noodles were a little more al dente which I will ask for in future). My partner got the Bolognese, which he really liked. It had a good meaty flour, but wasn't a really overly rich. My friend got the pasta with the salmon and I had a taste of it. It was good, but I preferred the carbonara or the Bolognese. The side salad that came with the pastas was very fresh. We also had the arancini balls and the tiramisu which were both tasty but the pasta was the stand out. Staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to coming back again.

Cozy little restaurant with warm lighting and the most welcoming and helpful service by Alize. Who gave the perfect recommendations of drinks to pair with our meal. Every single dish was incredibly delicious. Everything served was top tier. Even the salad served before the main dishes came out had us munching in silence. Which we finished eating before we realized nobody took any pictures.

I only heard positive things of Adamo's and after a friend said they wanted pasta decided to come here. They have limited hours, so recommendations are highly suggested as it is a smaller restaurant. You may be seated at the bar if you dont have a reservation. We started off with risotto arancini with a cheese sauce, which comes in 3. I ordered the four cheese ravioli, which had a nice spicy kick to it. Not pictured, but included with our meal was a house salad and the bread. The ravioli was very cheese, and the pesto sauce was good as well. The drink menu consists mainly of wine, but we also ordered the italian cola which was refreshing. There were a lot of people but not too noisy where you couldnt have a conversation.

Adamo's Kitchen feels like a real neighborhood treasure -- cozy brick walls, warm lighting, and that "come-home" charm that instantly puts you at ease. The moment you sit down you know you're at a place that cares: handmade pasta, house sauces, and a vibe that blends casual comfort with real Italian spirit. The dishes here deliver big: the pappardelle Bolognese is rich and slow-simmered, the gnocchi or four-cheese ravioli melt with flavor, and the "sucio fries" -- crispy Kennebec fries topped with bacon, cheddar, poblano sauce, and sour cream -- are a surprisingly perfect start to any meal. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and even when the place fills up, there's a sense that each plate lands with care and honesty.

Pasta was amazing! Every pasta order comes with house salad and garlic bread. We ordered the bolognese and salmon piccata. Both were delicious but the salmon piccata was my favorite. The bolognese ground beef and sauce was tasty and topped with a good amount of parmesan cheese, this dish cooled down pretty fast though. The salmon piccata had great flavor, it was citrusy but not too sour, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I love their homemade pasta, it is softer than most Italian restaurants but works well with all their pastas. We also ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and wished it came out first instead of with all our food so we had something to munch on. There was a variety of flavors for the bruschetta but our favorite was the fig and whipped ricotta! There's a small parking lot for Adamo's.

Adamo's is such a cute cozy space that hits the mark every time. I love their Arancini, Four Cheese Ravioli, and Bolognese! Great spot to meet friends for dinner. Make sure to make a reservation as they only have a few tables and book up quickly!

This place has been sitting on my list to go to for a while. It wasn't until my boyfriend was craving Italian food that I suggested this place. We were lucky enough to get seated in less than 5 mins on a Friday night without a reservation, although we were sat at the communal table. A small but cute place. It did take a while for food to come out but it was also packed. We started off with the bruschetta, which was all delicious. The pesto one needs to be reordered again cause it was so good. I ordered the carbonara and my bf ordered the four cheese ravioli with chicken. The carbonara was packed with so much garlic, I've never had so much garlic over power the saltiness of a dish. There wasn't a good balance between the two so this dish is a 3/10 for me. The four cheese ravioli however was really good and I wish I had gotten that instead. The spiciness isn't even that spicy and gives a good kick to the dish. We'll probably be back here for our next Italian craving but I will be ordering something else.

Ok every time I go here the food always hits. You get the salad that either you eat salad and you eat it or your friend doesn't eat their salad so you end up eating their salad too so I'm saying salad always comes with the pasta lol but I do eat my salad. Anyways I try a different pasta every time I come and it always hits. This time I tried the salmon piccata and it. Was. Fire.

I went here for a date night, it was the absolute perfect vibe. The restaurant was dimly lit with warm lights. The host was very friendly, seated us right away since we had a reservation. Which I highly recommend because the whole place was packed! I saw a lot of people turned away because there were no tables open. Unless they were willing to sit at the bar. I will say this place prioritizes the experience rather than quick service. Which I liked, it's part of European culture! To take things slow and enjoy. Which has also been proven to help with digestion and prevent overeating. The entree reached the table in about 45 minutes after we had placed our order. In between that time we enjoyed the salad and some wine. Great place to enjoy conversation and the company you have. If you're in a rush, not the place for you! The food, INSANE. The pasta is perfectly cooked. The sauce is so rich, flavorful, and deliciously creamy. The chicken is seasoned and juicy. The garlic bread is crispy and warm! Made the wait worth it! I highly recommend this spot if you love pasta!! They even offer classes to teach you how to make pasta, if that's something you're interested in. All in all, would love to come back and be transported to Italy for a night again.

I came in on a Saturday with reservations and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my table to be ready. I ordered shortly thereafter and the food did not come out until OVER AN HOUR. I don't know what's going on in the back of that kitchen but they need either more chefs or some better multitaskers. Luckily the carbonara was exquisite and made up for some of the wait. Rich, creamy, everything you could ask for. The fresh pasta is impeccable. Chicken was mid and dry and over priced 7$ for only a couple pieces of meat. Overall lovely interior and ambiance. Food is delicious but MAKE RESERVATIONS ahead of time or come to eat on a weekday.

This place is sooo good. One of the better Italian places you can find in Sacramento. I think, as of late, it has blown up on social media, so it's been harder to get a reservation. The staff are polite and do their best to accommodate long lines, but can seem a bit rushed/brusque. Food for thought: why do we accept bad service at a Chinese restaurant in lieu of good food, but have higher standards for Italian or American places? I suppose the food prices may also play a factor. The restaurant always has a cozy warm feel with brick and wood decor while still feeling mid-scale. Offerings: - Bruschetta: This comes with a variety of four different types of bruschetta, so for the picky eaters in our party, they were disappointed with only being able to have two versions. We, on the other hand, enjoyed all of them. The "wild ones" were our favorites. Caramelized onion jam and basil pesto! - Bolognese: This has always been a staple here but I will say I find it complex but maybe lacking in salt a bit. The mirepoix really shines through. - Carbonara: excellent flavor, no notes. Beware, this is a rich dish! - La Medusa: This was my attempt to break out of my ordering cycle and I was pleasantly surprised. The squid ink noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. The clam shells were a fun addition to maneuver and the pancetta provides the perfect salty kick. I also found the dish has a bit of spice from the jalapeño! - Creamy White Wine: They usually have a version of this dish on the menu and the flavor is very consistent while the ingredients may not be. The beet pasta was colorful and fun! I will say, the sauce is a bit on the acidic side but still very good. - House Salad: I don't particularly love the house salad. It feels very basic (I guess that's what house salads are), and the pickled onions are a bit much for me. The tomatoes that come in it are delicious though! They don't do anything special for birthdays here other than putting a candle in your dessert if you purchase one.

What are the best vegetarian options?

Hard to comment because their menu changes seasonally. Most of their dishes can be modified vegetarian. I really like the bruschetta and winter mushroom gnocchi.

Is it good for vegetarians who eat dairy and wggs?

I believe they have a margarita pizza. The servers are very helpful. I suspect accommodations can be made.

Do they offer gluten free options?

Yes we do our best to accommodate all food allergies. We currently offer both the risotto and meatballs with polenta as gluten free options. We do not have the capability to make gluten free pasta at this time.

The fare is Mediterranean inspired in a classy mid-town vibe. THE PROS: Wonderful ambiance. Our server, Ferzan, was top notch, both with her service and suggestions. Upscale casual with lots of high end touches. Live jazz and some classic style harp music the evening we were there. We each had a cocktail, split about small plates, and did a dessert. There was not a bad dish in the bunch, but my wife and I agreed the stand-out was the Filet Mignon skewers. Delicious. Cooked perfectly with a wonderful parsley/onion garnish that made an amazing flavor combination. THE CONS: Only a few very minor things come to mind: The shrimp dish, while quite tasty, was a bit salty. A couple FYIs: The lighting, while it made for nice atmosphere, is a bit on the dim side for menu reading. Also, their fresh baked bread is wonderful, but it would be a real plus if it was complementary, because it really goes great with their food and dips. More is better. And to me this one's a head scratcher... in the dining room with moody lighting and classy music they had a big screen tv with ESPN on the whole time. To be fair, the sound was off, but if you were there to watch sports, they have a nice bar with two other screens in there. It was totally out of place in the main dining room. BOTTOM LINE: Yes. Absolutely Yes. It is great for date-night, or any other night when you want a comfortable high end dining experience. PRICE: Items range from about $20-$50 each. Our total was about $150

I wanted to love this place but the plant-based options were limited to bar snacks: cauliflower bites, fries, hummus, a single salad, and mac and cheese. What's frustrating isn't just the selection, but the missed potential. Not one veggie sandwich option. The stuffed peppers could easily have a meatless version; the Brussels sprouts didn't need bacon; the farmers market salad could offer prosciutto as an add-on rather than a default. Small tweaks, big difference. A little more intentionality here would go a long way. On the bright side, the bourbon flights are a real highlight, and the space itself is a win - open, airy, and flooded with natural light, making it perfect for happy hour. The gastro pub vibe is genuinely cool, and you can tell this place has a lot of potential. Meat eaters and whiskey fans will love it here. Vegetarians, though, will find themselves grazing on sides and calling it a meal. If you're plant-based, my advice: grab dinner somewhere else first, then come here for the cocktails - because those, at least, won't disappoint.
