First time visiting. Stopped in on a Thursday after seeing a play at Broadway Sacramento. We tried a wide variety of small plates to share. The fare is Mediterranean inspired in a classy mid-town vibe. THE PROS: Wonderful ambiance. Our server, Ferzan, was top notch, both with her service and suggestions. Upscale casual with lots of high end touches. Live jazz and some classic style harp music the evening we were there. We each had a cocktail, split about small plates, and did a dessert. There was not a bad dish in the bunch, but my wife and I agreed the stand-out was the Filet Mignon skewers. Delicious. Cooked perfectly with a wonderful parsley/onion garnish that made an amazing flavor combination. THE CONS: Only a few very minor things come to mind: The shrimp dish, while quite tasty, was a bit salty. A couple FYIs: The lighting, while it made for nice atmosphere, is a bit on the dim side for menu reading. Also, their fresh baked bread is wonderful, but it would be a real plus if it was complementary, because it really goes great with their food and dips. More is better. And to me this one's a head scratcher... in the dining room with moody lighting and classy music they had a big screen tv with ESPN on the whole time. To be fair, the sound was off, but if you were there to watch sports, they have a nice bar with two other screens in there. It was totally out of place in the main dining room. BOTTOM LINE: Yes. Absolutely Yes. It is great for date-night, or any other night when you want a comfortable high end dining experience. PRICE: Items range from about $20-$50 each. Our total was about $150 read more

Came in at dinner time to catch up with friends. This place has great ambiance and the service is great! A nice place to catch up with friends and was lively during our time there. Just a tip, but you can park in the parking structure diagonal to the building and the parking is really cheap! Anyways, the food was decent but nothing that blew my mind. The waitress recommended the sea bass which was decent. We also got the rack of lambs which lacked a little seasoning, but at least it wasn't gamy had a nice char. Was just there on Tuesday night - party of 5. Great ambiance and we were seated right away. The place was nearly empty, only two other small tables. The server was pleasant enough, took our drink and meal orders without too much wait. She let us know that their bartender didn't show, so we couldn't order any of their special cocktails but we could have simple drinks like gin and tonic, which was totally fine. By the time food arrived, a couple of us were almost done with our drinks but she slipped away without asking if we wanted more I ordered the pork chop medium rare - dry, tough, and bland. The server never once came back to check on us or ask if we wanted another round of drinks...which we did want. I did notice at one point that she was sorting or wiping silverware for a while across the restaurant. She eventually came back to ask about dessert. One person ordered the pistachio tiramisu - he said it was ok for something that tasted like it had just come out of the freezer. That was the only complaint at the table (I didn't feel like telling our friends how bad the pork chop was), but nobody had anything good to say about their food, either. Stumbled on Field-n-Flame looking for dinner on a work trip. First off, this restaurant is beautiful. The interior design is lux with a mix of modern. They have a great looking bar, and Jake made a fantastic expresso martini with Turkish coffee. Smooth and clean flavors. Loved it. I got their House-made Papperdelle and boy was it delicious. Nice thick noodles with shredded short-ribs mixed in. I was still a little hungry and ordered the side of fries with yogurt and chili oil, something different but something yummy! The owner is a background of Greek and Turkish. He was so kind to let me try their in house made Turkish coffee which I never tried before. So hospitable of him, thank you cause I enjoyed it. We went for a friend's birthday on January 3rd 2026 around 7:00 p.m.. The restaurant was not too busy as that day there was a bit of rain in the Sacramento area. Coming into the restaurant it was very intimate the lights were low but the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We were greeted by the host and then quickly greeted again by the server that was going to help us during our meal. We had a nice big comfy table near the entrance that could see outside through the big window. Since it was our first time there the server gave us her favorite suggestions and all the pictures that I posted with this or will be purchased based on that recommendation. We were exceedingly happy because since we were celebrating a birthday we brought our own cake and they were very gracious enough to take the cake we brought and put it in the back so it could stay cold until we needed it. In addition they even went as far as cutting the cake for us so we could have it served to the birthday boy. The food items we did were the fries with sauce, beef skewers, meatballs, grilled octopus, Mac and cheese, and the zucchini croquettes. Hands down everyone loved the mac and cheese followed by the beast skewers. Both of those had amazing flavor especially the mac and cheese it was not overly decadent but very comforting. The skewers we're perfectly cooked and had a nice char on the outside of them. The one thing that we would call out is both the croquettes and the grilled octopus the octopus could have been a little bit more charred on the grill so it had a nice little crunch to it. Similar to the Croquettes they were soft on the inside which is nice but felt a little too soft on the outside not soggy but again it just needed that crunch to give the nice bite to it. We did order a few drinks going to be honest I cannot remember what they were because I only took one picture of them my bad. But overall no one had any complaints. We actually ended up ordering a second round of drinks and people copied each other to try other things. 3.5 stars I waited after soft opening to come. The ambiance is great. However, food is okay. The half rack of lamb has a lot of fat, otherwise flavoring was good. Magpies lamb is still my fave. My friend got a Caesar salad and added chicken. Her chicken was dry and didn't finish it. Drink Turkish martini was solid, I know I like my drinks sweeter - so I told the bartender that. I hadn't been inside since it was Devere's, and it's amazing how much the space has transformed - from a lively Irish bar into a softly lit, elegant restaurant that's perfect for date night. Our server was wonderful - friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of the menu. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, including several vegetarian options. The cocktails were spot‑on, and the wine list was impressive. We started with the beet salad, I had the house‑made pappardelle with mushrooms and my bf ordered the pan‑seared steelhead. Everything was fantastic - my pasta was perfectly portioned and beautifully prepared. My bf raved about the beet salad and loved how they served the fish. Field-n-Flame is such a vibe! Recommended by friends to celebrate my besties birthday, we walked into FNF and instantly got lower Manhattan vibes. The low, moody lights, warm earth tones and open floor plan was the perfect ambiance for the celebration. Jack greeted me almost immediately and sat me at a table. Once the others arrived, a man quietly swooped in with umbrella bags as if on queue. He passed our table a few more times asking if we needed anything. We would later learn the subtle man was the humble owner, Firuz. I had asked Jack for his favorites and the besties and I began with the mushroom soup. I'm so sad it's not a regular on the menu..talk about absolutely incredible omg! We kept raving about the soup and asked Firuz to please thank the chef. Firuz one upped us and brought Chef T to our table to we could thank her ourselves! Literally the best mushroom soup I've ever had and checked all three boxes (taste, temperature, texture). One guest ordered the Caesar salad and the house made Caesar dressing is to die for! As an entree I ordered the pork chop (thought I snapped a pic...sorry folks!) with brussels with crispy polenta. My family and I made dinner reservations here through Resy for 5 people. The place is next to a Marriott hotel in Midtown and parking was limited on the street so we opted for a parking lot around the corner. Going inside, the little lobby area before you get seated is a little tight but we got seated to our table fairly quick. The lighting inside is kinda dimmed so it was kinda hard for my parents to look over the menu. The menu had a good variety of options of both food and drinks. For food, we ordered the NY Steak, Filet Mignon Skewers, Grilled Pork Chop, Ouzo-Flamed Shrimp, Fried Calamari, and a side of Fries. For drinks, we ordered hot tea, Rosemary Lavender Lemonade, Kybele's Wish, and the Raspberry Lemon Drop. All our dishes were well-portioned and definitely fulfilled our appetites. My order was the Filet Mignon Skewers and the server informed me it was moreso of an appetizer-type dish, so I added Fries to make it a whole meal which was the perfect amount for me. I ordered my Filet Mignon medium rare and it seemed to be more pink than usual meats that I order as medium rare, though it was still good to eat for my liking. She left for a second and Another host came by to offer us drink but we declined since we already had a sip and didn't want to get too tipsy. He was much more cheery, lively and knowledgeable about the wine and offered the next couple 4 different flavors. We came about 15 mins early, our range was ready in about 10mins Server: 4/5 We had to ask for the dine downtown menu because it wasn't on the table. Thought it was odd because other participating restaurants really promote it. She was friendly, fast and efficient and checked on us a good amount but it was super busy so she darted away quickly.When ready to pay, they pull out an tablet and you pay and tip right away, which is a bit awkward but it's efficient so they aren't going back and forth. Menu: the menu online was smaller than the Dine Downtown menu in person. I'm glad I asked because the in-person menu had way more options to choose from. Sauce was just right. serving size was good New York Steak: 4.5/5 this was not on the dd menu online but appeared on the in-person menu. I decided to try it. steak cooked perfectly. Mash with gravy and broccoli is were seasoned well. Presentation was decent but flavor was really good. since it was Dine Downtown, it looked like they cooked a full steak and then sliced it in half and gave it to another. Chocolate duet cake: 4/5, was not in the original DD online menu. loved the presentation and the cake was moist l, almost jelly like and very good. . Pistachio baklava: 5/5, was not in the original DD online menu. This was amazing and one prob one of the best desserts I've had in a while. The baklava was flaky and crispy, the ice compliments flavor and pistachio crumbles adds texture. The portion was great and shareable since it had three pieces. It wasn't overly sweet but soo delish. I would order this again in a heart beat. Only street Parking which is a bummer and it can be difficult to find and you normally have to pay. We parked across near the park and paid for two hours and it was more than enough. Had to walk 7 mins through the rose garden. I would come 15-20 min early before reservations to look further parking and have enough time to walk. Good thing I had Pashion convertible heels to go flat during my walk. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed the food and ambiance. Dressing up is optional but you won't feel out of place if you decide to. I showed up here for the first time on Saturday afternoon and I was greeted by the lovely bartender, Cheryl, who was a 5 star worker there! She offered me the happy hour, regular, and drinks menu all at once. She was very attentive! Even made great conversation with me! It's located right next to the Mix and tons of street parking since it was a Tuesday. 5/5 Service from Grace as well as a man who I believe was the owner. Cordial, cheerful, checked on us often. There was a large group there for a birthday party, but other than that not very crowded. Grace was fabulous. 5/5 decor and ambiance. It's a wide open space but surprisingly it's not loud. Well decorated and well spaced. 4/5 spicy margarita. I opted away from the jalapeño margarita on the menu as that had Mezcal. It's nice that they have a full bar here. 3/5 complimentary bread and dip. To be fair, I was waiting for my friend and did not eat this fresh, but the ad dip did not have much flavor for us personally. 4.5/5 small bites - crispy carnitas mac & cheese. This was delicious. The cheese on top was crispy and flavorful, (not the carnitas), but we annihilated it and it was a good portion size. 4/5 Caesar salad 3.5/5 New York steak, med rare. Cooked properly with a blue cheese on top. It was good but not great, a bit chewy. Broccolini & the sauce was good. Didn't love the potatoes and wish there was mashed! 4/5 friend had the pan seared steelhead, delish. Crispy top and seasoned well. I ordered the Poseidon and I personally wasn't a big fan. I ended up ordering a Lemon Drop and I wasn't a fan either. Sat at the bar, because as usual juju was closed (and isn't it cute they have no phone number to call and check to see if they are closed for private events.) This was the first runner up. My two buddies ordered dirty martinis, trying to be easygoing I just ordered a third rather than my regular vesper, bartender brought back three vodka martinis with twists, and so, they were unhappy. I drank half of mine before I let him remake the three of them. There were other hiccups, however the service was friendly and while one bartender seemed inadequate for the volume of drinks coming from the tables and the bar itself, staffing issue is not the bartender's fault. Overall, I don't know that I'd go out of my way to come back but if you're in the area it's worth a try. read more

So we wasn't ready to order once the waitress came by the first time. But she said she'd take 1 tables order and be back...but 15 additional minutes and several others tables later. Complimentary: Bread w/Turkish jam & butter Drinks: Bellissimo Bellini (Featured drink) Hibiscus soda (Mocktail) Sides: Potatoes Grilled Beef Sucuk Main courses: Steak & eggs Sucuk Benedict Salmon Benedict Fresh toast w/berries (x2) Avocado toast My steak was good and I enjoyed the Chimichurri on top, but the eggs and potatoes were very bland and lacked seasoning. The Grilled beef Sucuk side was extremely disappointing for the price point. It's a $7 side that's literally half of a sausage link, that cuts in half. The French toast isn't a large meal and isn't served with sides. So be prepared to need to order a side along with it, as my mom did since it left her hungry still. The Hibiscus soda I mistook for having ginger beer and not ginger ale, and was very sour and not enjoyable. So I didn't finish it. The other meals seemed to be fine as there were no complaints noted. Also it was Mother's Day and it was extremely windy outside, and the weather was kicking up all of the dust, pollen and debris in the area. The restaurant decided to keep open its 3 large windows, allowing that all to blow into restaurant. So allergies were going wild for my girlfriend and sister, and some others in our area as well. It was bad enough for the waiters to have to sweep up blown in debris several times by the windows. And maybe because it was Mother's Day, the service was slow, but several times it took a while to get things once our main food had arrived. So we called on other staff to help get in an order or two in. PROS: Decor & vibe - loved the bar setup and large murals at Seole Midtown (previous restaurant here). Glad to see they kept the look but updated the theme. CONS: Breakfast only on Sunday Price & portion (some items not worth their price) Food & drinks (some things just missed the mark) Service (slow at times, has to get assistance from other staff) OVERALL: I had high hopes for this new place, especially with it taking over the previous Korean restaurant that I enjoyed. But it was either the weekend breakfast only menu (was expecting lunch) and or Mother's Day setup, that missed the mark. Was probably not the best day to come here, and some items just weren't worth their price. The lunch and or dinner menu selection is what enticed me to come here in the first place. It's not bad, I just don't think I'd return. The price point is close to that of a upscale steakhouse, but execution of the food and the ambiance is not the same level. A bit loud with three large TVs in the main dining area. Single server for too many tables. Water not refilled, slow service. It's in the same space as where Seoul St Midtown used to be. The steelhead appeared to be not fully cooked and the beans were a bit al dente for my liking. I didn't send back to the kitchen. Rib eye steak was overcooked. Medium rare (which was recommended on the menu) was more "medium", the potatoes and veggies were under seasoned. Cocktails were ok. Would be nice to have fresh raspberries in the raspberry lemon drop. The complimentary bread with the house dip were a nice touch. read more

This was such a great dinner, I'm so happy Sac has a spot like this now. But unfortunately the service still has some kinks to work out. I would give them a 3.5 if I could. I came with a party of 4, and we all loved how beautifully decorated it was. Our first round of drinks were great, but our second round, we ordered the same drinks and they tasted differently, a lot more seltzer water. We shared the meatballs which were solid and a charcuterie platter that was pretty standard. They served a great hummus as a starter as well. I got the three shores ravioli which was delicious!! 2 others got the steelhead trout and really loved their dishes, and the last person got the filet mignon skewers which he said were great. The service could improve a bit. We had tickets to see the Lion King at 7:30 which I put in our reservation, but unfortunately we did have a lull in service at one point and then were rushing to make the show. We were all a little miffed as well because when we got the playbill for the show, it swished local restaurants where you get 10% off if you eat at their restaurant before or after the show, and yet the restaurant never told us that - even though I specifically had put that we were attending the show in our reservation. Lastly, I had wanted to pay for the dinner, and I specifically told the waitress that, I gave her my card, I explained why I wanted to pay, and she assured me she would make sure that I was the one paying for it. However, she ended up letting our friend pay instead which was very frustrating because I made the reservation and requested to pay for the dinner to treat that very person. I wouldn't have walked away if I knew they would let him pay when I walked away. He had gone through a lot, and I wanted to treat him, and I explained that. In Sacramento for the day, so I was referred to Field-n-Flame to try. I was offered any seat in the house upon entering, since it was early and they were fairly empty. The bartender was very nice and helpful with what meals he would recommend, even if he admittedly so didn't normally work dinner. I chose the pork chop. The hummus and bread are absolutely fantastic! Bursting with flavor. It almost tastes like it should be spicy.... But it's not! The pork chop was cooked perfectly to medium with an apple glaze over the skin. The skin was slightly tougher than I like but still very good. For dessert, I tasted the pistachio tiramisu!!! It absolutely melts in your mouth. If you love pistachio, and you love tiramisu, you have to try it. It's generous enough for 2 people to share. For the price I feel the portions were generous! The pork chop is absolutely worth trying. Bring your appetite! I'd recommend FnF for a second visit if I'm in town! read more

Wow what a gem. We wandered into Field n Flame after visiting the firemans memorial in Capitol Park. Boy were we glad we did. Fresh, modern cusine with great drinks this place did not disappoint. We had the lentil bites and fries with yogurt drizzle off the happy hour menu. both were delish. washed em down with a couple of sangrias and we asked about mixed drinks. turns outvthey had egg whites on the menu. hmm.. We ordered 2 whiskey sours and they knew right what to do. dry shake meringue into an ice shake, then served up with bitters... boom! out came the grilled octopus then grilled hallaumi on a fresh salad with fresh greens, tomato, and vinaigrette. all we could say is delish!. New American Mediterranean. What does that mean? Bold flavors with emphasis on healthy fresh fruits, veggies, olive oils and whole grains. Classy yet earthy ambience decors such as the light fixtures, dark wood and accent colors of the napkins. Menu offers Small bits and Large bits. We decided to share a large pork chop and a beet salad. Ideal combination, both were great, no regrets with our choices. Qty was hardy, in fact we had leftovers. Ambiance was inviting. The colors on the walls, the tables, the plates all the way down to the cups... spelled out Field and Flame! Earthy and Beautiful. The name just says it all. The name sounds health forward and classy all on its own. I only got two/three items on the menu as my brother and I were simply just walking along and took a look at the menu from outside. We were not intending to eat but he saw something he just needed to try. My family is primarily vegetarian so there were some items that sounded very delicious. We will be back for more as the first experience def was a hit. read more

I have never written a negative review before, but this was easily the worst restaurant experience I've had in my life. The only good thing I can say is that it's a great place for anyone on a diet. One bite of their duck, which was tough and stunk, immediately killed my appetite. I had to spit it out. (See photo to look at how little we could stomach of the food) I paid over $250 and got my partner excited for the oysters, crab linguine, and harp music only to find out they had none of those. It is an awful feeling to see your partner crestfallen after dressing up and looking forward to a night out and to have experienced the worst meal of her life there. This was for a 7pm reservation, so I don't know how they could run out of one of only four options they had for a main. The backup choices we ended up getting were the duck and the chicken were atrocious. I would be embarrassed to serve it to my dog, I don't know how they could feel okay serving it to couples on Valentine's Day. I've also never walked out of a restaurant mid-meal, but trying the mains and hearing the nonchalant response from our waitress, it was clear there was no point in staying. It really was that bad. This is not to mention some of the tables were plastic and they had us wait outside for ~30 minutes after our reservation time while they sheepishly poured us wine to placate everyone. I spoke to some locals about this today and they also said they heard bad things from this place and were shocked that the reviews weren't lower. I would say avoid like the plague, but I'd rather have the plague than have to go back here. If you're thinking about taking a partner for a nice meal here, I would recommend taking them to Taco Bell instead. They'll be less disappointed. read more

Service: 100% no complains there. Food: Had some vegetarian items but think its an expensive place for a vegetarian! A pasta with fava beans were $34, which I find it a lot. We went to celebrate a friends birthday and they got a steak and lamp chops, we ordered zucchini fritters, harvest salad, and fries and few drinks.. the bill ended up being $300.. Pappardelle pasta with fava beans: 5/10 Zucchini fritters: 9/10 Harvest Salad 100/10 Drinks: 9/10 Fries with yogurt dip: 8/10 Ambiance: such a pretty place, loved the vibe out there! read more

This Turkish restaurant has been open for about six months in midtown Sacramento. We went there for lunch when it opened at 11:30 AM. We shared five of the starters and did not have room for an entrée. Oh very nice selection of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. I was surprised that there were not a lot of people when we got there. Had high hopes but unfortunately was forgotten about from the time of reservation to getting up and walking out. We checked in for reservation and sat for an extra 20 mins b/c they forgot to register us as here. Ordered and was brought a chaser salad that looked amazing, had great flavor. The croutons were stale and soggy. We ordered mains the same time as our starter, and unfortunately sat for an hour without being checked in. Unfortunately we had to leave as we had a show. Disappointed to say the least as the tables next to us sat after and all recieved their food in a timely manner. Won't be back. read more

We chose Field n Flame for their Dine Downtown menu. They exceeded our expectations ! Everything was delicious, from the zucchini fritters to the dips, to the beef ravioli, to the key lime tart and Turkish coffee. Felzan (hope I got that right) was amazing, with great suggestions on what to order, and overall great service. Lovely restaurant. read more

The place is beautiful. The music they play is a great, big band. You're able to have a conversation. Their service was good there was only two servers and this place is big. We had the Turkish Breakfast Feast Includes:Muammara, Mixed Olives, Feta & Kasar Cheese, Honey & Kaymak, Turkish Jams, Dried Fruits & Nuts, Tomato-Cucumber-Pepper Salad , Turkish Pastries , and Sucuk ( 100%Beef - Turkish Sausages not our favorite. I think we have to get use to the flavor) with 3 Eggs and we also ordered the French Toast the pistachio cream was so fabulous we could just eat it by the spoonful, and three coffees. This was our first time having Turkish food. It was absolutely delicious. Every thing was perfect. The bathrooms are clean. Only issue the parking can be hard to get. We got there at 10:00 for brunch. Their alcohol beverages are pricey. So we passed on that and just had our coffees. There was three of us and will be returning. Trying dinner next time.
