I was astounded by this place. This was our second time visiting and we were blown away by the service and the food. Here are some stand out things our server Armand did: Offered a bag hook for my purse. Recommended drink based on my preference. Checked on me and how I enjoyed my dish since I didn't finish my shrimp. Not only was the Hospitality wonderful but the food was top tier. I recommend the Vodka Penne! And the tiramisu has been in the family's recipes for years. It was quiet, but lively and warm. We visited between 4-6 on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised! Thank you Pazza Notte for a wonderful date night.

I've been to this location in Midtown twice now and I've had a great experience both times! The first time we went, I got the macaroni and cheese and my friend got a nice soup. We got to sit outside and really enjoyed the ambiance of being outside. I got the Hipster cocktail and it was really yummy. I would definitely drink that again. The super cool thing is they give you the rest of your drink in a shaker so it feels like having 2-3 drinks. The second time we went, my friend and I each got a delicious pasta dish. I got the fettuccine pesto fresco and my friend got the penne vodka. The fettuccine was so good. I loved the pesto sauce. My friend also really enjoyed her penne. We also shared some shishito peppers to share. They were really good! I also got the Gone With The Wind cocktail, very tasty! I would definitely come back to this location. The service is excellent and so is the location itself. I personally liked sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air!

This was a fun experience. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere feels great. The staff was warm, greeted us quickly, and got us seated right away. The restaurant has really cool photos of both famous and non‑famous people on the walls, plus a small bar near the entrance where you can grab a drink or some food. There's seating both indoors and outside. We decided to try a variety of dishes to get a good sense of the menu. They offer plenty of options--pizzas, pastas, salads, and appetizers. We started with the B&B (Brussels and Bacon) and the Cajun Spicy Fries. The Brussels sprouts were well done with great flavor from the drizzle. The Cajun fries were cooked nicely and paired well with the aioli. For our mains, we ordered the shrimp linguine and the Forestale Pizza. The shrimp linguine had a light, tasty sauce, though I wish the shrimp came without the tails. The Forestale Pizza was excellent--traditional Neapolitan style, with caramelized onions adding a nice sweetness that balanced the savory goat cheese. Really good pizza. We finished with the Gelato Sandwich. We were hoping for a bit more from this one; the cookies were extremely sweet, though the gelato itself was tasty. I'd probably skip this dessert next time. We got a couple lemoncellos to finish off the experience. It was a bit sweet for our taste, but definitely strong.

This spot was so much better than I expected! I've seen it a couple times when we've dined next door at The Rind (also amazing) and I was very impressed! The inside is so cute and they also offer covered outdoor seating, which would be amazing with good weather. They had a good variety of drinks, I went with the house Bellini which didn't disappoint. For starters we had calamari and Brussel sprouts and they were both delicious, loved. For pizza we went with a classic, the calabrese which was a classic pepperoni. The service was adequate and I'd say we will definitely be returning! There's other items we'd love to try.

Was visiting Sacramento for the weekend, Had a great birthday dinner at Pazza Notte, great service, food quality was great, loved everything we got :) my favorite dishes was the mushroom risotto!

Finally stopped in for a post birthday celebration. I love the calamari fritti that was battered to achieve the perfect crispiness. It paired nicely with the duo of lemon caper sauce. I did not care for the marinara sauce as it was overly sour tasting. The pappardelle di mare was my favorite dish. I love the ribbon pasta with shrimp, calamari, and clams in a sherry shallot cream sauce. Will definitely order this on my next visit. The gamberi alla diavola was just okay. My first time trying margherita alla napolitana and it was surprisingly good, even though I prefer animal protein on my pizzas. The best tiramisu I've had in the Sacramento area. It was very creamy and delicious. Definitely will dine in again.

My book club and I had dinner at Pazza Notte, and it was such a great experience. Our reservation was at 5, but I arrived early to spend some time reading on the patio. The inside is beautifully decorated with lots of natural light, it was really tempting to sit there, but the weather was too nice to pass up, so I stayed outside. The patio was just as charming, with plenty of shade and a relaxed vibe. The music was perfect; not too loud, but just enough to enjoy and even sing along to while still being able to hold a conversation. There were three of us, and we started with the calamari, which was perfectly crispy and delicious. We also shared a pizza and Brussels sprouts. The pizza was good, though I tend to prefer a classic pepperoni, but the Brussels sprouts were a standout; crispy and flavorful. We were also served bread with a really tasty dipping oil, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we were given a complimentary vodka drink that was on the sweeter side but still had a strong kick. Between the three of us, my friends also ordered a few additional drinks. We left feeling completely full, with enough leftover pizza for each of us to take some home. The total came out to about $80, which felt very reasonable considering the amount of food, drinks, and extras we received. I'll definitely be back!

The food was authentic Italian at the top tier taste. I was surprised to have this flavor and experience in Sacramento. The service was five star Katelin was phenomenal she started and ended the night with the best service money could buy! The ambiance was classic and beautiful celebrity photos mirroring the walls! A five star experience!

TLDR: Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, solid pasta and salmon dish Long version: We started with the Caesar salad and steak bites. The steak bites were well seasoned with great flavor, though slightly chewy. The Caesar was served wedge-style, so most of the dressing sat on the outside, and it was very anchovy-heavy and a little too fishy for my taste. It was just okay and not something I would order again. The drinks were definitely a highlight. I got the Sau Sau and my partner got the Some Like It Hot, and both were delicious. I also loved that they came with a shaker that basically gave you a second serving, which made them feel especially worth it!! For entrees, the penne vodka was delicious with a really good sauce and a perfect portion size. My only complaint is that $22 felt a little overpriced considering that adding protein would then be an extra fee. The salmon was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and served in a delicious butter sauce. The meal also ended on a fun note with complimentary lemoncello, which was a nice touch.

We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and our experience was so wonderful. Our server was super nice and friendly and the decorations were really cute. The ambience was perfect for a nice celebration. We had truffle fries and calamari to start and we also did family style for the entrée dishes. We had three pastas, a seafood pasta, the broccoli, broccolini rabe, sausage pasta, and the penne. I think our favorite was the Pancetta, it was really creamy and smoky. The pizza was the margarita with prosciutto and that was probably our least favorite. It was really thin crust and a little bit too salty for us. There is not much cheese on it or sauce either so I don't think I would get that again. I wouldn't recommend the pastas. We also got two cocktails the hipster and Dolce Vita they were really strong and one cocktail was perfect for two people since it was two pours so that was really great. For my sister's birthday they also brought out a big sparkler with strawberry gelato. Overall it was a really great experience and I would come back!

The best italian spot in downtown sac!!! I lost my picture of the calamari but that is the best --. This specific pizza comes as a close second, super light let still flavorful. The crust is super thin and the pizza is on the thinner side as well which I love. The ambiance is super classy and chill, great spot to celebrate your birthday too! Servers are always attentive and make sure every thing is going well.

Always a great time at Pazza Notte and today was no different. Came here with my lady and our son for an early Valentine's celebration. This was his first time and he fell in love with the restaurant. He said the place felt really classy, on par with a place like Morton's. He of course got the pepperoni pizza (pizza calabrese). Said it was some of the best he's had. Reminded him of his favorite pizza place which has since fallen off. My lady and I got more food than we could eat. Everything was absolutely delicious. The mushroom risotto hit the high mark for us. Despite it being Valentine's Day we got in quickly. Our server Marco was awesome. Food came out super fast. Successful Valentine's date with my loved ones.

Finally got the chance to come with a friend for lunch after strolling around the farmer's market. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out, has bar seating, tables, and a spacious patio underneath lovely midtown trees. The inside is super bright, lots of decor on the walls, flowers everywhere, and the energy was great. We came on an early Saturday afternoon with no reservation but were seated after 20 minutes. Even then, the restaurant was packed! I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you plan to come later in the evening and/or have a large group with you (it was only two of us). I decided to order the soup of the day, which I believe was a squash/butternut squash soup, Parmesan and truffle fries, and my friend ordered the truffle macaroni and cheese with the "the hipster" cocktail. They also brought complimentary rosemary bread and oil. The bread was soft, the cocktail was great and very decent portion, the soup was perfectly balanced and went great with the toasted bread. The fries were a little cold but tasty and came with garlic aioli and ketchup. My friend said her macaroni and cheese was yummy and she would order again. The menu is full of options and we will definitely be back to try more things. Must come if wanting either a romantic night out or a lovely dinner with friends!

I remember from the video they said this was considered a "bartenders bar",the kind of spot that that bartenders and workers in the industry would hangout after their shifts-I liked the sound of that. Walking up to where I thought the bar was located,it was kinda funny because it was just an innocent looking blue door with the words "Cocktail" along the side-doesn't look like much at all,I'd imagine I've walked by this place many times without thinking of ever going in-that was changing this time. The restaurant is quite small inside with very limited seating, but the outdoor patio is beautiful. Be ready to likely sit outside, but enjoy the atmosphere. We started with the mezcal old fashioned and the cucumber jalapeño margarita. The mezcal old fashioned was a delicious smoky twist on the classic cocktail. The cucumber jalapeño margarita was refreshing, though a little sweeter than I expected and missing the spicy kick I was hoping for. The guacamole was fresh and tasty, but the portion was quite small and barely enough for two people in my opinion. The salsa was also small but it was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken tacos were excellent, with tender chicken that was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The enmoladas were also fantastic and are a great way to sample Oaxaca's three unique mole sauces, each with its own distinct character. One thing to note is that the chicken filling is intentionally prepared very simply in traditional Oaxacan cuisine so that the mole remains the star of the dish. If you prefer heavily seasoned meat, this dish may be milder than what you are used to. Overall, everything we tried was delicious and offered a wonderful taste of authentic Oaxacan flavors. Our meal for two included one cocktail each, chips and guacamole, three chicken tacos, and three enmoladas, and came to about $100 with tip.

I have very mixed feeling about this place. I wanted to like it more... and if half stars are…read moreallowed, I'd give it 3.5 stars instead of 4... but I'll round up. NOT THE FOOD: - no parking lot; only street parking. I went for a very early dinner (a little before 5p) so no problem with parking. Street parking was free as well (not metered). - the decor inside is very nice and in keeping with the type of food that's served. yay. - the inside seating area is fairly small... there's only 4 or so 4-top tables & a bar that seats 8 or so? There seems to be a lot more seating outside though. - Our server was nice and patient as we took some time to look over the menu. SORT OF ABOUT THE FOOD: - They have a happy hour menu Mon-Fri 3p-6p; check out the other Yelp pics bc I didn't snap a pic myself. - The entrees don't come with rice & beans nor anything else. what you see on the menu is what you get. as such, the entrees are not terribly filling. they really should just slop on some rice & beans so they can be sure that you leave feeling full. THE FOOD AND DRINK: - Classic Mezcal Margarita: this was a fine, properly made cocktail. None of that nasty "margarita mix" here. $9 on happy hour. woo! - Guacamole: umm.. disappointing... rather bland; though, not diluted with sour cream or anything like that.. just kinda tasted like mashed up avocados.. there was a sprinkling of some red powder on top that I couldn't taste.. I didn't taste teh mint, basil, nor jalapeno that's described on the menu. It also came out refrigerator-cold, so that kinda muted the flavors as well. But I let it sit out throughout my meal to try it after it had "warmed" up a bit, but alas... still bland.. it was served with some salsa as well, which was quite nice. - Enmoladas: this is a trio of chicken enchiladas with each of their 3 moles: red, yellow, and black. The red and black mole were great; the yellow was kinda bland (at least, in comparison). Unfortunately, the chicken in my enchiladas was super bland. It tasted like there was zero seasoning & that they just poached it? And, the pieces of chicken were pretty thick too, which accentuated the blandness... so, I kinda mashed it up as I went along so I could get that delicious mole flavor mixed in with the chicken. - Tlayuda: this is kinda like tostada. it was okay. not great; not terrible. just fine. it ate kinda dry... like it needed some sauce... and, some spice would've been nice as well. this one will not really fill you up; it's more of an appetizer. - Kid's cheese quesadilla: this thing is pretty small; it uses the same tortillas as the tacos, so it's not very big/filling at all, but at least it comes with beans and rice. so, while I loved the margarita and the mole, there was a fair amount of disappointment along the way. perhaps, I'll stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood & would like a nice mezcal or tequila-based cocktail and a small bite to eat, but I'll think twice about having a full dinner.

So the wifey and I are day drinking our way thru Oak Park on this particular Saturday and as we…read morewere kinda walking aimlessly after a few beers at a local brewery-we ran across this simple unassuming door with the name The Butterscotch Den written across it-it's kinda crazy because I had no idea where this bar was and for sure didn't know it was in Oak Park-I couldn't have been happier as this bar has been high on my must visit list for months. When we walked in I knew I was in the perfect spot-this bar has those low lights that all the bars in the 70s and 80s had-giving off a both romantic and mysterious vibe to it-I was in love with the place from that moment on. The music that day was awesome-I heard they have live music at times but at the time of my visit they did not-they were instead playing 90s and 2000s R&B and Hip Hop-it was wonderful-one banger after another-so yeah I was vibing. Our waitress couldn't have been cooler-she was as friendly as can be-suggesting drinks that were both on and off the menu-her and I were sharing tequila stories based on our shared affinity for the Fortaleza tequila they had in stock -which is super rare and it's how I judge every bar-whether or not they have Fortaleza tequila on hand and The Butterscotch Den had multiple bottles on hand. We ended up going with a few drinks that day. -Strawberry Negroni-($13.00)-This one blew my socks off-my favorite drink in the works is a Negroni but this bar makes a Strawberry version of it and let me tell ya-it's dynamite-10/10 rating -Old Fashioned-($12.00)-This is my go-to order at most bars because it's pretty reliable and most bars can make a decent one and I'd say they make a very solid one here-8.2/10 rating -Cucumber Gimlet with Tequila-($11.00)-This drink was made with lime-sweet vermouth and tequila-it was very refreshing and went down way too easy-rating 8.4/10 -Mezcal mystery drink-($12.00)-This was a drink the bartender made that after we declared our love for the smokiness of mezcal-I wouldn't be able to ask for it again unless I got the same waitress but if your a mezcal lover like I am-this drink was top of the line-smokiness intensity off the charts-9.1/10 rating So a little about the place that I picked up during my visit-I guess they serve food-I didn't know that but after my 2nd drink I looked back and saw this entire dining area with table side grills-so I guess the customers cook their own meats and such-pretty cool concept-my visit was strictly a drinking visit so I didn't partake but it looked pretty cool. I guess they are opened most days from 4p-12am and until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. They do not have a dedicated parking lot for this bar but they are located near 34th and Broadway-so unlimited street parking is available for those who drive here. In closing-I really really enjoyed my visit to The Butterscotch Den and I was pretty sure I had found my new favorite bar in Sacramento with a bar in the Ice Blocks but I am pretty sure that has changed and The Butterscotch Den is my new favorite bar in the greater Sacramento area-if you find yourself looking for a new spot to enjoy some adult beverages or maybe looking for a date night spot-don't hesitate to make your way over to The Butterscotch Den-the place is a true hidden gem. PS-They have a Disco Ball in their lounge area and a vintage non-working cigarette machine-the coolest I tell ya.
