I had a lovely time at the Papi's Tacos of Fells Point! I ordered a traditional margarita with a spicy salty rim, YUM! And I also ordered 2 tacos (1 extra for Taco Tuesday free) of Gringo Style veggie tacos. The queso topping on the tacos was so delicious! I am pleasantly surprised to see they have a $5 frozen margarita special as a way to beat the heat. Well that was surely refreshing! Service was fast and smooth, our server was kind and funny and welcoming. Overall, this taco spot is a great place to gather with friends and have a laughing good time! Can't wait to return again for a taco Tuesday with the girlies !

Overall papi's tacos is a cute vibe for a relaxed dinner with friends. The drinks are tasty - I had a spicy margarita. The food is just ok. We ordered the yuca fries and house guac to start. The house guac was a bit underwhelming as it seemed to just be mashed avocado (with a large piece of unmasked avocado too). The yuca fries were probably the best thing I ate. As for the vegetarian tacos, they were quite dry and in need of some more flavor. The concept sounded delicious, but the fried components just made the whole thing bland. TLDR: a great place for drinks and maybe a skip for food

Papi's Tacos is a solid choice in the Fells Point neighborhood if you're craving casual Mexican street food. I try to take advantage of their happy hours. One thing I love about Baltimore in general is that most bars/restaurants offer a decent food menu with deals during their happy hour, in addition to drinks of course. The service I've received here has always been solid, no complaints. I would say this location is a bit unique in that the left side is your typical bar seating and the right side is more of your dining room seating for larger groups. My go-tos are the gringo's tacos, the birria tacos and their chips and salsa.

Papi's Tacos - oh boy. I understand the need for Americanized food - many people are not accustomed to certain foods and spices and are not comfortable diving straight into the authentic sources. However, The food served here needed that spirit to be fully manifested and embraced in the food they serve. The Birria tacos especially left a lot to be desired as the filling was minimal and the consommé was dilute. Birria tacos are one of the foods that definitely needs some TLC as not putting your best foot forward for these tacos a disservice to its status in the Mexican food arena. Aside from the tacos, the chips were fine - they definitely know how to make a white Queso dip. It's plenty cheesy, flavor packed, and rich. Overall, it's Papi's Tacos is the place you go to for a casual Mexican food experience when other places are just too inconvenient to go to.

LISTEN! We just searched happy hours in Baltimore and Papi's Tacos popped up ... you literally NEVER think about Mexican when in Baltimore because Baltimore is all about crabs and seafood but the reviews were great so we said LET's DO IT! And MAAAAAAAAN are we glad we did! Service, to ambiance to food .... all 100!!!! And this is us sitting at the BAR!!!! And the happy hour menu is a reduced price menu .... this was heaven sent! We honestly said we wish we could run our entire order back so we could eat it again ... that's how GREAT everything was! Do yourself a favor and stop in for happy hour or for breakfast, lunch or dinner because either way you'll be happy you did!!!! Oh and the bartenders are AWESOME!

CHORIZO TACOS

My friend and I came here as a last minute option because we wanted sangrias and saw Papi's Tacos had them. I hadn't been back here since prior to Covid so it was good to check it out again. We sat indoors as it was a pretty windy day out. To start, we got their sangrias (red option only). They came out foamy which was weird and it tasted fine at the beginning. It did get watered down quickly and tasted too lemony later (there were lemons in the sangria). Not the best sangrias here from our experience. We decided to share their Guac to start and were brought out fresh tortilla chips with salsa as well (the chips and salsa are complimentary to the meal which is nice). The guac was huge and had great flavors - it was delicious and we loved it. We each chose to get the street tacos and share them - I ordered the cod that they had that day while my friend got the chorizo. Since it was Tuesday, they have a taco special which gives you a 3rd free per your 2 taco order (they come 2 per order)! My cod was fried well but in general, there wasn't much flavor to it. The chorizo was super dry and didn't taste that good at all. It was disappointing our tacos weren't all that good or flavorful. The service was good and the staff were friendly. Their specials and prices are quite good but not much to rave about the food or drinks we had. The only thing we really liked were the chips and guac. It may be some time before I decide to come over here again.

We ate at the bar and the place is comfortable, the bartender was nice and fast, and the food was great. The house margarita was tasty and well done also. 20% gratuity is included in all done in meals. My wife was happy to hear Bad Bunny playing throughout our meal. She is sitting next to me making sure I mention that lol.

Food was okay, but over priced for what it was. Went during lunch and it wasn't very busy.

9pm Saturday Night…read more Homecoming Weekend Everyplace is lit tonight. That is a good and bad thing. Good for the vibes and bad for the parking . We intended on going to Sagamore Pendry but the parking was horrendous. We parked in 5 min next to the Lush store. Parking was free since the enforcement was over at 6pm. Elk Room has a very extensive list of liquor if you are a connoisseur. We are not. So I ordered an Espresso Martini with the Peach desert. The " Profiterole au Peche " arrives from next door at the Monarch restaurant. Monarch prepares all of the food. The kitchen closes at 12 am midnight . The desert was actually really good. Do you want to know the best part ? The "Dulcey Crunch " . It is like crumble on a Dutch apple pie but better. They could put it into a bag and sell that alone! The icecream is nice but if Monarch hooks up with Taharka Brothers Ice Cream based in Baltimore it would take the taste profile to another level. There is a flaky pastry involved that creates the need for a knife but we managed to cut it with a spoon. Last but not least , our server Michelle poured hot Caramel sauce over the desert once it arrived. You can never go wrong with hot caramel sauce and there was some left over to eat for fun. Overall : Great service Nice atmosphere Wear something cute. Live jazz music Sidebar: The table next to us ordered a PASSION PIT. The ladies at the table compared this drink to a Chinese medicine because of the smell . They were scared to drink it because it had olive oil. 10 min later ... it was still sitting there . It's on the returning favs list.

The Cannon Room is a small cocktail bar tucked away in the back of The Pendry and is easily one of my favorite places to grab a drink in Fells Point. Only open after 5pm, it makes for a perfect predinner stop, especially if you are a bourbon fan. Their bourbon selection is seriously impressive, with everything from approachable pours to rare bottles that climb well into the triple digits. They also offer curated bourbon flights that change depending on availability, which is a great way to try something new. The decor deserves just as much attention as the drinks. The room is filled with warm wood accents and subtle Baltimore nautical theming that gives the space a really immersive feel. The centerpiece is the historic cannon that was dredged up from the harbor during construction of the hotel and is now displayed beneath the floor as you enter the bar. Service has always been 10/10. The bartenders clearly take pride in the craft of making cocktails and have the bourbon knowledge to back up the impressive bottle collection. Overall, the Cannon Room is a must stop while visiting Baltimore and an especially easy recommendation for bourbon lovers exploring Fells Point.

Flavorful, high quality ingredients with a side of thick-cut fries. Everyone is very friendly to each other, and the service is great. Two ciders ran us about $20, which felt reasonable for the setting and quality. We stopped in twice because we really wanted to try the bacon-wrapped goat cheese jalapeño poppers. The first time we weren't hungry enough, so we made a point to come back later and I'm glad we did. They were excellent. Not a huge portion, but it's an appetizer and felt appropriate. They were rich and well balanced, definitely a fork-and-knife situation, and worth the ~$14. The atmosphere is a big part of the appeal here. Tons of dark wood, historic character, and that old-Baltimore charm that makes you feel like the place has stories. It's warm and inviting. Perfect stop for drinks and a snack, especially on a cold day by the water. I'd absolutely go back if only for another hot rum cider and those poppers again.
