    Carnitas Tacos
    Kristin A.

Just ordered dinner from UberEats. It's rare for me to write a review moments after an experience but when it does happen, it's either horrible or amazing. Today I'm grateful it was the latter. I wanted authentic tacos, nothing fancy necessary. Once I saw they also had elote, I knew this was a total win. Ordered 3 carnitas (pork) tacos and an ear of corn. I was a little sad to see no grill marks on the elote but it didn't matter once I bit into it. It was super fresh, crisp and juicy. It would have been a good ear of corn without the adornments but the mayo, cheese and spice made it amazing. The tacos came with typical ingredients (onions and cilantro with limes and cucumbers on the side). All taco ingredients, including the tortilla and meat were fresh. Listen y'all (or read), these were some of the most flavorful and delicious tacos I've ever had. Moist, well seasoned and plentiful. I'll be ordering here soon again!

This is also a review for the taco truck, not the actual restaurant. I was also sad to see the negative reviews, because my friend and I came after a walk, after being successfully enticed by the smells of grilled meats. I ordered one chicken and one steak street taco and they were delicious--super simple, and came with yummy, spicy salsa verde. I especially liked the steak, it was well seasoned with the perfect amount of char. We both also got elotes and they were so good! I never wanted my corn to end. Juicy and perfectly spiced and cheese-d. As I bit into it, I commented, "the best food is the messiest," and the elote is a testament. So worth it. I stand by this fact (chicken wings, BBQ, funnel cake, burritos, tacos, elote, etc.). Definitely give it a shot if you're walking through Patterson Park. I'll be back to try their salsa roja.

I ordered using Uber eats. The order was delivered pretty quickly which is nice. The tortillas were sturdy and did not easily break apart even after reheating the next day. The taco meat was a bit on the fatty side, I would prefer more leaner meat but overall the tacos were good.

A RUSTY NAIL in my burrito

I was just eating my food and felt something sharp in my mouth and pulled out A RUSTY NAIL. In my food, in my fu cking mouth!!! I am so disturbed and disgusted on so many levels. Rusty staples in their burritos.

Order type: Delivery via UberEats Order date: 03.04.22 Items order: Tacos al Pastor, Agua de Papaya, Tamal de Salsa Roja Tacos: 3/5 I have already given up in DMV having ever getting the al pastor marinated sauce right to my liking; Im looking for 'sazón jarocho'. The tortillas were okay, not hard or breakable. I don't understand anyone who sells 'al pastor' yet there is no pineapples. Cilantro and onions were fresh, a little more radish on the side. I got mostly cucumbers. Cebollita Canbrai was a surprise and one well enjoyed! The sauces for tacos as I have share before are not quite for taco eating, they are enjoy better with antojitos such as empanadas or tostadas, etc... Agua de Papaya: 4/5 It had a good taste, but it wasn't fresh enough, more a ice maybe? Tamal de Salsa Roja: 4/5 This could've been a BUT the tamal tasted old and reheated. I get that most are reheated but old, not good. The taste was still pretty good.

I tried their Chilaquiles Verdes con Pollo. It was a big portion, authentic with the eggs and protein on the side which was excellent! I will definitely try more food in their menu. Green sauce needed more seasoning for sure, everything else was delicious!

    Corn tortilla ripping apart

I didn't like my first experience here: It was unfair and ridiculous. This is a little tacos stand beside Patterson park near Sharkys/Bmore licks. My friends have also never been here, but we came around 6:30 pm on Memorial Day and were sitting on the park at 7:34 pm with no food. They ran out of a lot of food so we could only order tacos. My friend and I ordered shrimp tacos. She ordered chips and salsa and I order guacamole and salsa. 20 minutes later he tells us that he ran out of chips would we like our cash back. We said sure, and he gave us cash back $8 for her and $8 for me. Meanwhile he ripped me off for .50 (which isn't a big deal) but I was also charged about $1.75 tax and I paid $3 tips. So, he made a profit off what I didn't get to eat. The food: The shrimp tacos were good but the the corn tortillas were cheaper than what I'm used to and they broke apart verily easily. My friend enjoyed her shrimp tacos, they were delicious. Definitely not worth the money and the hassle. Will I come back here? No way, there's better places nearby with tacos.

Chips with Guacamole and tortilla chips

Went to the restaurant for the first time and it's definitely an authentic spot in Greek Town. We went around 7pm and opted for outside seating under their tent. We were the only ones out there as everyone was inside, which did have loud music playing and was more of a bar feel, so worked better outside so we could talk more easily. We got chips with salsa/guacamole to start. It was good, but unsure if the guacamole was homemade or not. Sadly no bottomless chips refills but it was the right amount for 2. Our waitress was nice but there was a bit of a language barrier, but we made it work! They brought out a portable heater to the outside area without us asking which was a nice touch. I had the enchiladas con mole and my boyfriend had a carnitas burrito. Both were large portions and very good and flavorful. I loved their black beans I had. Overall a good authentic spot with a very local feel.

This is my first time ordering from this place. My tacos were amazing!! The ingredients are very fresh, and the food is very well put together. I tried out the tacos just to be safe, and now I wish that I had ordered more. I will be going back to try some of the other foods that they have!

This was my girlfriend and my first time here. Food was really good. The size portions were amazing. We were not able to finish it all there. The only thing we didn't like was the tortilla chips tasted a bit old. I will say the restaurant workers were great with their service. We were sitting outside and they brought us a portable heater without us asking. 2 waiters we spoke with had a minor language barrier but they made it work. Definitely check them out

Instead of applying the BOGO to each pair, they only removed the cheapest rolls overall, which made the "BOGO" deal feel misleading. Service also wasn't great. After 10 minutes of trying to get a bartender's or waiter's attention, we left. Months, later, we were craving sushi and decided to try again. This time we sat at the bar which is spacious enough and were helped immediately. Even though we wanted sushi, I couldn't resist the cheesesteak eggroll which was very good and came out hot. While it was a little oily, it was still tasty and enjoyable. We order 3 rolls and the fried Oreos to go and while I recommend the Oreos and cheesesteak eggrolls, I can't recommend the sushi here. The spicy tuna tasted canned, and the trio roll was way too fishy. The volcano was the best, but also just okay. You also don't get any ginger with your rolls. I think this place is better as a regular bar, but for an advertised sushi spot, it doesn't have great sushi.

Note, my daughter had put ketchup on plate before realizing the oversight. So, when the MANAGER brought the food back, I'm thinking it was a show of good faith given the error. Nope. He had a smug attitude and puts the plate on the table where I immediately notice the original plate was reused because it had the ketchup smear. I asked him if this was the same sent back plate of food and he said "yes" and said the added the avocado. They UNWRAPPED the original wrap and just added the avocado and brought the entire plate back. I immediately questioned how that follows food handling guidelines. If they weren't going to redo the order, they could have just brought avocado slices to the table! The MANAGER had a very dismissive, RUDE attitude and so I sent everything back and left. I did tip the waitress cash because she was great and had got us drinks by that point. Again, she was nice and side-eyed the manager agreeing what he did was not acceptable. Apparently he also had a rep for being rude and nasty. I will never eat there again. You have a kitchen with seafood and meats and have no food handling controls? Yeah, miss me with the risk of food poisoning or cross-contamination. No thank you! You're rude to customers and have no standards? Whoever runs the kitchen should know better as should the manager. I can only imagine what else goes on in that kitchen. Dine there at your own risk.

We didnt end up ordering brunch since items on the other menus won us over very quixkly: the crab cake eggrolls (appetizer) and the crab grilled cheese (lunch). Being ambitious, we did ask the server to leave the menu behind, just in case. There was so much deliciousness to choose from But alas, we were satiated. To drink, we skipped the bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary and opted instead for a Blood Orange Margarita (which was more berry-like in color) and a Passion Fruit Mezcal Sour. Both were a tad sweet for our preference but very good otherwise. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
