Oh my goodness!!!!!! My mother and I were craving pizza, so we found this place on the Slice app. We decided to order the Large Republic Pizza Combo with extra cheese and 12 wings (fried hard) with BBQ sauce. Everything was so tasty in every single bite. The pizza had an amazing flavor. They were generous with the extra cheese as well, I was able to taste it. The wings were deliciously crispy. Very solid place. Pizze is absolutely a step above Dominos, Mountain Mike's etc. Noticeably. Their sausage tastes more homemade, the crust actually has decent texture, and the cheese/sauce is in the right amounts. Ladies who work there are super nice and smiley. Good people. I don't like it as much as Zach's or Little Star, but if you want neighborhood thin crust, and can't bring yourself to ordering the same chain crap, this place gets it done. Honestly, pretty meh. Look, it's not bad pizza - covers all the bases and I like a lot of toppings so went for the Republic Pizza Combo. Not bad but the base was very thick and some of the toppings felt undercooked. That said, great staff and a pretty good price. And, as someone who grew up on lamentable British pizza it was OK, and the extra slices for breakfast aged well. One caveat, it was very salty. With both the initial pig out and the breakfast slices caused a real water craving afterwards. Ended up chugging a couple of pints. Maybe it's a crust thing. So not bad, but not great. read more

If I like something, I tend to order the same thing over and over again until I truly need a break. I've ordered the Margherita Pizza and Fried Traditional Wings three times in a row. The first time I ordered, I was so delighted. I got the Margherita Pizza because I like Margherita Pizza, but also because you can generally taste how good a kitchen's tomato sauce and dough is when it's simple. And, the Margherita Pizza here definitely got my reorder! There's not a huge amount of tomato sauce on top, but just enough that it balances out with the cheese and the tomatoes on top. They are just the right softness, and your taste buds are met with the delightful mix of cheese, tomato and basil. There's a layer of cheese on the pizza, then the ones they place daintily on top of the tomatoes. I'm usually not a fan of baked tomatoes, but they make it somehow that I can't help but love these tomatoes. The crust is not crunchy but has a satisfactory bite to it and is really soft on the inside, like freshly baked bread (makes sense given that it's made out of dough). I am usually not a big chicken wing fan, but after reading some reviews I decided I needed some. The wings were delicious too! You can bite through the crunchy outside and sink your teeth into the soft juicy meat inside, and roll it over your tongue as the flavor spreads throughout your mouth. They are not too strongly flavored so you can still taste the meat, which was perfect for me. After having a wonderful experience with my first order, I eagerly made another order the next time I really needed some good food to brighten my day. Excited to have that wonderful experience I opened the box and... and... was crestfallen. Half of my dozen wings were about 2 inches long with very little meat. I know some things happen and I tried very hard not to be disappointed but couldn't help it. I didn't actually cry because I am an adult now, but the child in me was holding back tears while I ate what meat I could off the bones and munched on the pizza. It was like when you accidentally let go of your balloon. I hadn't felt like that in a long time. Anyway, despite the wing portions, they both still tasted great. I was disappointed enough that I did debate whether I should get the wings again after that, but I figured I could leave that decision for one order later. I braced myself for the worst, but the wings in my third order were thankfully very fat and plentiful, and I was happily forcing myself to eat slower. I usually buy enough for more than one meal, but I like them so much I end up eating two meals worth as soon as I get them. Although both are best fresh, they still taste great when you reheat it in an oven toaster. Happiness for days! I've been by Papi's Pizza Roma several times, but it took a Groupon to try it out. They had a deal that I could not pass up, two beers, a pizza and appetizer for $18. I didn't know what to expect, but we decided to try it out. We arrived for a Warriors game and the place was about half packed with families and sports lovers. They have arcade games and distractions for kids, a great draft list for adults and a menu that can suit any pizza lover's style. The interior is outdated and needs remodeling, but that did not distract me from the service, food and drinks. We enjoyed our pizza, taking the rest to go. My guy has been back with his friends to watch games, drink beer and have pizza - towards the end of the night, they gave him a couple slices to bring home - which was so nice. read more

Just ordered from Pizza Roma for the first time. The pizza was not to my liking, but people have different preferences when it comes to pizza so I'm sure some people like it. From the photos on Yelp, I was expecting the pizza to have a thinner crust, more of the 'New York' style people described. The pizza I received had a thick, doughy crust, and although the outer crust was crisp, the inside of the crust was undercooked. Not inedible, just very chewy, and you could tell by looking at it that the crust wasn't cooked all the way through. I have a friend who likes undercooked pizza crust so I guess it's a thing. Fast forward to 2 years later, yes 2 years later as I moved out of the area- I decided to of course put this gift card to use. I ordered the large Lightning Bear pizza. AMAZING. Ingredients are fresh and the crust is to die for. I'm a crust person. I again ordered online but this time around I picked up. The salad bar was minimal but did have baby spinach in addition to iceberg lettuce which was nice. I found the spaghetti similarly merely adequate. The all you can eat on Tuesdays (5-8pm) is an economical deal at $9 but not impressive. Rather than a table of self-service pizza, staff come around periodically with 2 varieties. The atmosphere is a bit outdated but clean. Staff were friendly and responsive. There's a small back room with 2 pinball machines and 2 video games, and they have a bigscreen TV and a surprisingly nice coin-op pool table in the dining room. My overall impression is that this is a solid place for high school students to hang out (except for the sign saying no more than 4 students allowed at a time); it's also probably also a fair option for coaches looking for a post-game team pizza-feed. read more

Ordered a very simple order for delivery. Salad with chicken and breadsticks with marinara. It came quickly which was wonderful....however the salad was missing chicken. I doubled checked my order and paid for it. I immediately called back and no one answered....called again and no one answered(btw still 30 minutes until closing) but this time I left a message with the issue and a phone number. No one ever got back to me. Not the best way to run a business. A shame because I have enjoyed food from them. The location is ideal since it's in a plaza with an auto shop, market, drug store, tax services, and some others. The son of the mom&pop shop greeted me. Since I have never been here before, I walked around looking for the restroom. Men and women are located on opposite ends. Finally, I found the women's restroom, but it was locked. I made my way to the front counter and the son already had the bathroom key ready. Now, that's service! The pizza satisfied my hunger. The 2 slices actually ended up being a mini-personal pizza. It was good for the price paid, not to mention piping hot from the oven. Bottom line is that service is great (and I thought the son was cute.) The family is definitely hard-working. They probably have loyalty from locals, many phone-in orders or pick-ups. The decor on the inside may need an update, but the place is clean and orderly.
