Panera is honestly my go to for quick meals; for those days when I just can't afford the time to make food or wait thirty minutes for it to be prepared at another restaurant. For several years now Panera had been pretty consistent with quality of food and efficiency with my rapid pick up orders... until now. I use their rapid pick up app pretty frequently, and I expect my order to be accurately fulfilled. I understand that sometimes it gets busy and a small item is forgotten here and there, but to have this happen for the third time in a row? Pretty disappointing. A list of items that they have forgotten: croutons, fruit parfaits, chips, and at one point, a sandwich! Really?? A whole sandwich!! I meann... management exists here right?? I love Panera and their service is honestly the best! I'll still come here but I think they need to tidy up their rapid pick up system, as for too long have I experienced missing items that I paid for. This is a good one. Ordered two chicken Caesar salads to-go and arrived home to find no chicken. I drive back & they kindly let me keep the two incorrect salads and I receive the correct order... checking the new salads in the parking lot, I still find missing chicken! I had a problem with my sandwich the steak and white cheddar. First off there was no indication of steak in any way shape or form. It looked like chopped deli meat. In addition there was about 50% ratio from the meat to the bread. It was ridiculous. Thank goodness the manager Victoria handled the problem exactly as a manager should. Total professionalism! WOW! 35 minutes waiting for one simple sandwich. I walked in ordered from the tablet and waited. I almost wanted to cancel my order but the staff Almost seems like they don't want to deal with you. I went to the front counter to just ask for a refund and leave and the person working was boxing up some pastries and refused to even look up and acknowledge that a customer was standing there. The staff preparing the food seemed bothered by peoples anxiousness for the delay in orders and nobody was offering any apologies or explanations to what was going on while people were waiting about 45 minutes for their sandwiches. They have the best Breakfast sandwiches ! My personal favorite is the Turkey Sausage, Egg white and spinach. This Panera Bread location is almost always out of one of the items I want to order. Never fails! The orders are often incorrect or I need to remind them of something missing that goes with my order. I can go during lunch, dinner, or late evening and it makes no difference. I can go back the next day and the same experience. The cooks area is a hot mess! Omg!!! That was the worst experience ever! I ordered the asian crunch salad and it was super salty with 3 little pieces of what looks like left over orange chicken from Panda Express next door. There was so much gingery flavored dressing that the lettuce was really wet. Gross! The almond chicken sandwich was a super thick slice of kind of stale bread with very little "chicken"???? That could have been some other thing but it was so mushy I couldn't tell. There were no almonds and no cranberries. The mango citrus lemonade was too sweet. I purchased a bunch of bagels for the bagel special, and all the bagels were hard as a rock. None of them tasted good. I also bought the all cheese flat bread, which wasn't cooked all the way through and the broccoli Mac and cheese wasn't filled all the way in the container. As I waited in line behind someone talking about their life story for five minutes, no one else came up to help on the counter while there was plenty of people to do it. Then the person taking the order decided to go and do something and left us just waiting there. Another person finally came up to the counter and we moved over to give our order and she said no, the other person who left is going to help you and she finally came back and took our order . Now this is only based on the Panera Bread on Valley in Walnut, California. I have been to many others and have always received excellent service. I stopped by this particular Panera Bread this morning (05/03/19) to pick up bagels for the office. I placed my order, which the gentleman got wrong, and had to ring up again (Bagel pack, only charged me for the bagels and to ring up everything again since I wanted the pack with the cream cheese). Okay, it is early, I will accept the incorrect order. I could not order coffee, because the coffee maker was broken, another strike lol. When I received my bagels, the guy at the counter put the cream cheese in the box with the bagels...not in a bag in the box but right on top of the bagels. Every other Panera always puts the cream cheese in a bag, so they do not touch the bagels. Frankly, I will not come back to this one, the service was horrible and really not up to par considering the other Panera's I have visited. read more

I've gone to Panera a few times and was never super disappointed with the food. For the most part, it's decent and a fresh change from fast food. I love the baked goods especially the scones and cookies. The soups are also very well done. I enjoy the squash soup and the tomato bisque. The drinks and coffee is also pretty good. The entrees themselves are below average in my opinion. I've tried the steak and arugula panini which is kind of an odd flavor combo and the steak is chewy. The chicken in various dishes like the ceasar salad or the tortellini pasta is not good. It's usually dry or rubbery. Today I tried the tortellini and wasn't impressed. It seemed frozen and some of the pasta was hard and inedible. The chicken was just in a weird shredded mass? It stuck together and tasted really dry. Maybe if there was more sauce it'd be better. I would pick up my orders and once I get home I would realize that my order is missing an apple, a coffee cup, French baguettes, etc or the order would just be wrong. It took me two years after Panera opened before I finally set foot inside of it. My friend who used to work there contributed to me never going when she told me that their hot food is microwaved. But, Panera has slowly earned my business when I decided to pay them a visit recently. I don't know if the have "Fresh Bread" here. Their breads are never warm when I buy them. I would go get some "Fresh Bread" elsewhere, if the other place opens at 7 AM on a Sunday morning. Panera Bread has been my go to place for bagels and croissants. I have been going there weekly. They have about 12 different kinds of bagels, and lots of other breads. There is nothing special to their bagels, croissants, or other breads. As I mentioned earlier, their breads don't seem to be "Fresh Bread", and they are never hot even when I arrive early. But, their breads are A-OK decent. What brings me back to Panera is their Reward Card. In the 2 months that I have been going there, I have "won" 3 bagels, and one smoothie. None of the other places around here has ever given me anything free after all the money spent. But, Panera does reward me. It is nice to be rewarded with the free bagels and smoothies just for being a customer. I still won't be ordering anything hot from Panera. But, their bagels and breads are what I want. As long as they continue their generous reward program, I'll be back! read more

My favorite thing to get here at Panera is the Spinach and artichoke soufflé! It's so good! Fluffy and cheesy! I also love the Cheddar cheese and broccoli soup, their French baguettes and I specially love the Asiago cheese bagels. I love their reward system. I have gotten so many free things here but do keep in mind that I also eat here a lot. Staff is always friendly. All the location I have been to, they are consistent. I ordered online for a friend's birthday lunch. It was an easy order except for the fact that Panera's website for ordering is a little messed up how it is organized...or "not organized". When I arrived for the "rapid pick up " it was anything but rapid. The website asks for make, model , color of the car picking up the food which would indicate they would bring it out. NOPE! Once inside I was directed by the bakery folks to pick around the corner at the counter. The countertop was full of bags and so was a cabinet across from the countertop. There were approximately 5 folks in front of me. I waited and waited. Finally I was asked about my order I told them the name ... nothing found. Finally when I gave them the confirmation number, they went around to the bakery and brought the bag to me... a total of 13 minutes of waiting for a rapid pick up! Once the bag was opened.... nothing was marked for what was inside. Really an inane practice for Panera in this COVID time. Food was good once we finally found which sandwich was which.
