The bakery section was empty, frustrated patrons everywhere, and the cashier told us there was a 40min wait before we could even greet them. Not really a complaint about quality, but quantity. I've been here a couple times now. The first time, my Mediterranean bowl was half full. Really sad looking. Last night I went back and got a Greek salad with modifications. What I got: a ton of lettuce, three small strips of onion, maybe an eighth of a teaspoon of quinoa, and a bite-sized chunk of avocado. This Panera bread's service is terrible waited in the drive through for 35 fucking minutes. Do not go here on your lunch break you'll be late to work. Worst Customer Service Experience Ever! I have written to corporate and will post their response to follow. Reading through the other reviews I can see a pattern that needs to be corrected here. The Manager CHLOE is perhaps the worst possible pick for a manager in any customer service environment that I have ever encountered. She is entirely dismissive, overtly rude, verbally crude and surprisingly angry. Visibly shaking with anger as I asked for a district managers contact. She said "good luck", she is a friend of mine when she finally gave me the contact number. Who does that??? There are other negative reviews for CHLOE on this site. This Panera store needs to address this issue or the location will not survive with this kind of ill management. There are dozens of other restaurants to choose from close in proximity and most offer more than a sandwich and soup, and without the unpleasant rude attitude. We cancelled our order, and we WILL NOT be returning until this is corrected. There were no apologies offered for CHLOE'S offensive attitude, she never once took ownership of how she behaved even when it was apparent to other customers that she was way out of line. If I could give this location zero stars, I would give it negative 5! I've just witnessed the most arrogant, so called manager they have in this location. We started this whole thing with missing items in our bag at the drive thru. I told the cashier at the window and he asked me to double check, which I did, we were in fact missing one soy. After he went back in the kitchen, he came back to me and said that the item missing is in the smaller bag, showed him the smaller bag and voila... nothing there. So he went to get my soup, came back to the window and handed it to me, I said thank you, and he replied with, "no problem, I'm just giving you an extra soup.." REALLY?!! I ensured him that he isn't giving me an extra soup but merely giving me what I paid for, so I asked for a manager, heres the worst part. Chloe (manager) comes up to the window, seems apologetic while we explain the situation of how this isn't pleasant in the cashier making it seem like we're trying to cash in on an extra soup.. she says it was a miscommunication, no apologies, just a miscommunication. Obviously I'm upset and she can see that so she decides to offer me a pastry... a pastry! I said NO, I need an apology. Contrary to what you might believe CHLOE but an apology is worth much more than your $3 pastry... all the while I'm still trying to get her to understand that an apology is what I want and guess what she does? She smiles and says "OK", shuts the drive thru window and walks away! The audacity! We pull off the drive thru so that the other people can get their food because this has gone on too long already, triple check out food again and now we're missing our bread, the bread that was already in the bag the first time around! Why would you take things out of my bag!!!? I park the car, make my way in the store, ask for CHLOE again, and while I'm waiting, the staff is looking over the counter at me like I'm crazy and laughing about something, I'm neither deaf nor blind people, I know when you're talking about me, now it's up to you to tell me to my face! Chloe comes up to the counter, I ask her to check now what she's missing from my bag and she replies with"well I don't know what you want.. EXACTLY! My whole point to begin with. Start with manners with your customers, admit when you're wrong and correct the issue, that's some knowledge for you CHLOE! I ask for a refund which she does right away but without apology of course. I take my money and tell her, this has been terrible... she replies with "OK have a great day honey!". I AM NOT YOUR HONEY, I don't respond to that nor should anyone that is already upset, YOU have NO RIGHT to call me that and you should wash your mouth off with soap and devour a piece of humble pie. I have literally spent thousands in different Panera locations for our weekly Friday lunches for my whole office, but this experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope that the higher people at Panera read this so they know who they are appointing to be a representative of their brand. Let me start first off by saying I LOVE PANERA BREAD and was ecstatic to see it come to Vallejo. But after 30+ mins in the drive thru and a salad with brown lettuce I'm not sure what to think? I also had a sandwich and the same spring mix lettuce that were in the salad were on my sandwich. I figure for the amount of money I paid (about $20) the quality would match and it did turn out that way this time. Went to Drive thru & ordered food. It took a little while (there were 3-4 cars) ahead of us. When we finally got through the window, we asked the cashier to add in a Mango Smoothie & she said NO "because were kinda busy right now" .... I was like! The service in Vallejo is usually poor and rude (including management). I waited at the take-out window for 5 minutes and of the four employees working there not one asked if they could help me. They had handed me someone else's order (this included a manager) I was just trying to get the order corrected. When I asked on two occasions to get bread which is supposedly included with the soup it was handed to me with no apology. The menu is confusing and using the website is impossible, and not updated. I do enjoy the soups but try to use Pleasant Hill or Fairfield when convenient. The food quality is consistently excellent, but the service is consistently mediocre. And their attention to detail in the appearance of the store is less than mediocre. Look at this menu board?! I mean, come on Panera! You are brand new and Vallejo deserves you to be better. Their ordering kiosk in store hasn't worked every time I've come in to the store, and staff had no idea how it worked. I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad bc I enjoy coming here, particularly to study. You can't complain about the food because it's the same as any other Panera. I would agree that the staff is not always polite. One time I spent what felt like forever trying to figure out their automated ordering while the person at the register just stared at me and then made it seem like I was a burden when I finally asked to order with him. Anyhow, they have coffee and soda refills which is great for studying/working purposes, it's clean inside and in the bathroom, not too loud, and nice and cozy. I used to love Panera Bread. Really. After coming to this location, I like them a lot less. I even worked at Panera for a short time. It's not a hard job. So why do they continuously get my order wrong. I only order the soups and bread. They're the safest items to eat and worth the money. So I went trough the drive-thru to order 3 soups, bread bowl, and a whole baguette. I didn't get my baguette and one of my soups was missing. I went back and got my soup, but was very disappointed to find that my soup didn't even fill my bread bowl! I got my baguette too, plus a free muffin (although I feel more should've been done for wasting my time). Poor customer service. They're always rushing, but in a bad way. I went through the drive thru and while I placed my usual order of you pick 2 as soon as I finished that they gave me the total without asking if there is anything else I would like to order. When I got to the window, the lady gave me the price and while I was handing my credit card to her I asked if I can have extra dressing on the side. As soon as she got my card she quickly closed the window and did not hear my request. I waited til she came back to give my card back to ask her again, she quickly closed the window right when I got the card back. So I waited til they handed my food to ask for extra dressing, a different lady came up to hand my food to me and as I asked for my request again they quickly closed the window. I was frustrated that I wasn't acknowledged three times, that I didn't even bother to go inside to get the extra dressing. This is not the first time this has happened. A cozy and nice place to chill, eat, study, or hang with friends before a movie or something. There are many windows for nice natural light to come in with also optional shades. The lighting inside is nice and the style inside feels simple and clean. There were some instances where I had to clean tables myself and there were leftover food in the seating area. Other than that, parking is accessible, outlets are convenient, many available seats, and the area around this Panera is nice. It's right in the middle of a plaza with a movie theater, dessert places, and retail stores. read more

I had not been here before this. I had a gift card. Was shocked by the prices at the drive up window. I was able to get one sandwich for a $10 gift card which came with an apple. and still had to pay 39 cents. Got home with my sandwich which was still barely warm, but cold enough so the velveeta style cheese was congealing. I ordered the grilled turkey with bacon and cheese , which I assumed based on the title, was grilled. It wasn't. I immediately had to remove the fire roasted chipotle tomatoes which totally ruined the flavor, and was left with a slice of velveeta, two microwaved slices of bacon, and no TURKEY or sauce. I go to Panera quite often. My most previous experiences with the company at the Vallejo location have been bad. 1. Online order, suppose to be ready in 10min.... 30+minutes and longer each time. 2. Drive thru orders always missing something. From baguettes to actual big items... very frustrating since their drive thru isnt necessarily fast. I wait 10-20min to grab my order and it's wrong. 3. My review....for my first time visiting the Vallejo location it's bad and I will not go again! 1) I ordered the French Onion and requested the larger bowl 2) I ordered the small Caesar salad So, the onion soup was the small container, not large. The Caesar salad was not in the To-Go bag at all. What was in the bag.... The small Onion soup and a small Chicken soup (never ordered this). There was a sandwich of some sort (not sure what that is) and the Cheddar cheese which I assume was for the small Onion Soup? When I got the receipt out to call them, the number was for another person (very irritated and kept hanging up) until I was able to come online and find their number...called and it just rang like a zillion times until someone by the name of Kiera answered. Extremely upset with my experience with this place. My first order and I ordered it Door Dash. Received half of. My order and they blame it on being shorthanded. I called in to inform them and the phone was answered and I was put in hold by the general manager, Angela. Then she took her ass home and left tme on hold for 26 minutes where I had time to l leave Benicia to Vallejo and show the supervisor that "apparently" started work at 8pm when they close at 9 . I spend $90 including a tip to a door dasher just to have to jump in the car and pick the food up any way. I wish I would've read the reviews for this location first, I would've totally avoided ordering here. Cost me way to much and to add more BS to my attitude, it's hot AF. Anyway the supervisor on site is Cynthia, she remade my order and gave me 4 pastries (which already was supposed t. come with my order but whatever. I will never go to a Panera again based off of the Vallejo location. American Canyon was without power for DAYS. I realized everything in Vallejo was still open and we decided to charge our phones and eat a hot dinner at Panera. Right after ordering my food i was told they would be closing early due to the power outages and wildfires. THERE WAS POWER IN THE WHOLE AREA. Many people were scrambling to eat their food and I was told by an employee that I wouldn't be able to add a sandwich for my husband because I originally forgot to order it. I had to get the manager! 10 mins after my family got our food we were told they'd be closing (TWO HOURS EARLY). Sorry, was I supposed to take my food home and eat it cold with no lights? Despite the new store chaos decided to brave the crowd and try it out. Interior was clean and welcoming, but that is where the welcome ended. I approached the counter and placed my order of a 1/2 Turkey BLT sandwiched and a cup of Autumn squash soup. I asked what kind of bread it came on and was told sourdough. The cashier inquired what side I wanted, I asked what the options were, never having been in a Panera before I had no idea, she sighed and rattled off the list. I asked if the kettle ships were house made, she said no they came in a package. I informed her of my nut allergy and asked if she knew if peanut oil was used. She said she had no idea, I asked if she had a package handy so we could check, she said no and that she wouldn't recommend I get the chips. So I got an apple. I was offered a cookie for .99, I again asked about nuts, no nuts in the chocolate chip, so I said yes. When my order came the autumn squash soup had pine nuts sprinkled on top and the sandwich was served on a dark bread. Fearing it might be a nut bread my husband went to the counter to inquire. They told him they had no idea what was in the bread, he asked for a nutritional facts sheet, they didn't have one. He came back to retrieve the sandwich from me to take back to the them at the counter because if you don't know, I can't take the chance of finding out the hard way! As he approached the gal at the counter called out that it was the a farmhouse bread and it didn't have nuts. Not trusting the knowledge of the staff, I tossed the whole meal. Well I usually love Panera Bread but my visit to the Vallejo location was horrible. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the staff was friendly and gave good customer service. However, the food was another story. I ordered the Pick 2 with the 1/2 Frontega Chicken Panini and 1/2 Chicken Fuji Apple Salad. I ordered it to go and took it back to work expecting a delicious lunch. But what I got looked nothing like a panini sandwich advertised. I had a burnt sandwich which was extremely disappointing. I ate the middle section of the sandwich so that I didn't cut the roof of my mouth on the edges. I will post my sandwich and a picture of what it's supposed to look like. I attempted to call the store several times throughout the day to speak with a manager about my food but they don't seem answer phones there. I will never visit this location again.
