The last few times I've gone to Panera's for lunch, I really been impressed. This last time I ordered the chicken salad with dried apple and the Italian sub possibly called the Italiano. It was on the pick two menu, where any item cost only for $5.99 each. Both were delicious. I asked if they had any free samples, and they generously gave me a taste of an orange scone. It was a very satisfying lunch. The vallejo Paneras is a pleasant place to eat. All staff were very friendly. They deserved their five stars rating. read more

Got a Goddess salad and a half beef dipped sandwich from the pick two option of the Panera's menu. A perfect serving for lunch and the price wasn't bad. You can order from the kiosk or at the counter. You have plenty of options to choose from and variety of beverages to select. The place have plenty of tables to dine at including outside dining. This is probably the best Panera location that I've been to (I've been to several across the country). Service is super friendly and the sandwiches are made to order, so worth the wait for freshness. My favorites are kitchen sink cookie, asiago twists, cinnamon crunch bagels, broccoli cheddar soup, the cherry lime fresca, the steak & wake breakfast sandwich and several of the entree sandwiches. The mix & match combo and the sip club are amazing deals if you're on a budget. I like how you can modify some of the ingredients for your own tastes (or allergies). Their MyPanera loyalty program is generous with the deals and rewards, including a free sweet on your birthday. read more

The food was good! The service was awful, we went to sit in a booth me and my 84 yr old mother. We sat down and this worker comes over and says sorry you can't sit in any of the booths I'm cleaning here, I said all of them and he said yes. I think it was a bad time to be cleaning it was busy and I never saw him again. So I got a gift card from here, and it's been years since I've been here. I got a hot coffee and the steak breakfast sandwich on a croissant. The sandwich was good and satisfying, but I couldn't see myself paying 7 bucks out of pocket for one sandwich for breakfast, so I was glad I had the gift card! The coffee was underwhelming and had a burnt taste. Being a coffee drinker, on a daily basis, I want a great cup of coffee, to satisfy my caffeine craving. This cup of coffee didn't satisfy that, so I went home and made another cup of coffee. I done the order through the qpp and I waited five more minutes for my order to be done. I am surprise Panera Bread had Chicken Tikka Masala...the taste was compatible to the ones served at restaurants. Panera does attract people to bring their computer to do work. Plenty of tables available to study. The wifi isn't fast but I am not bothered. Since Panera Bread has been open for business they surely keep the place cleaned up. My family loves Panera bread so I often find myself eating here. Service was friendly at the front counter. I ordered the strawberry poppy seed salad with chicken. I was worried it would be too sweet, however, it was perfectly balanced. Look at all that fruit! What a delicious, light, healthy meal. My dad ordered a few "kitchen skink" cookies to share for dessert. These are TO DIE FOR!!! My only complaint would be the wait for the food was a little longer than expected. A small but cozy Panera. This location is in the middle of a big plaza, so there is plenty of parking, but that's pretty common for most Paneras. For a generally new location, this is probably the smallest one that I've been to. It is one of only ones that I've been to that has a drive through though. I don't eat a lot while at Paneras, because honestly, the prices are a little high. The menu item that I do like is the Steak and White Cheddar sandwich. For a $15 sandwich, the quantity doesn't feel like $15 worth, but its a good tasting one. That's only for the sandwich and chips, you have to get a $3 drink separately. Before you know it, you've spent $20 for 1 meal at a bagel place. It is nice that this particular sandwich is consistent whenever I've tried it at different locations. I do have sip club. Came in while they had the $2.50/month promo, and decided to stay. That's what I mostly come here for. I sometimes hangout with friends while getting a drink. We do come here to play card games, and the staff never shoos us away, and is even encouraging. A lot of people come here to study, so why not. As long as you're patronizing the restaurant, you should be okay. It's a smaller restaurant and the food is a little expensive. The staff is nice. Worth checking out. read more

This is my first time eating at Panera Bread. The service at this location was good but the menu was confusing. On their menu, it shows "Pick 2" in the sandwich section and underneath it, it shows $12.09. As the woman at the register explained, it's the price of the sandwich when you pick 2 items. It's not the price FOR two items. So we ordered a sandwich ($12.09) and soup ($5.79) which totaled $17.88. It was an experience eating at Paneras but the place seems expensive. Definitely wouldn't buy a sandwich and soup for $18. They had a bbq chicken sandwich with tomato soup for $8.99. This was a better deal. Keep in mind you only get a half sandwich though. read more

Today I had a positive experience with my drive through order of Greek salad with a scoop of tuna. Simple but delicious and needed. The heavy food of the holiday season yields to a lighter meal and having quick option like this helps. I was charging my Tesla at the charging station next to this restaurant. I never been to this restaurant Panera bread. I thought I would give it a try. I walked in. I waited in line. Nobody would even acknowledge me. I waited approximately nine minutes. The manager was there on her day off as she discussed. No wonder why this place has two stars. Their hours on here and Google must be wrong because I entered 15 minutes before the said closing time, 8pm, to redeem my birthday reward (a pastry or cookie) and why did a female worker, who looked so unkempt, airpods in, no name tag, came at me with the most offensively impolite, ill-mannered, MOST RUDEST customer service ever. I walked in and she looked at me as if I was a lost child in the mall then LOUDLY and RUDELY stated, "we're closed" several times. First, the door was NOT locked and people were still dining indoors. I calmly explained (which I shouldn't even have to) about my visit. She continued to state that they're closed and seemed to not understand what I said because of her airpods. So of course, I explained myself again. She then stated how the door "should be locked" and said "idk you can try" regarding me redeeming my birthday reward. I was going to use the kiosk for a possible faster check out since there was one customer at the the back counter but that same staff seemed to be blocking it by doing only God knows what. I went to the counter and it took less than 30 seconds for me to receive my Bear Claw. Time was actually wasted with my encounter with that staff member. I will update a review on The Bear Claw. As my Bear Claw was being handed to me, I overheard that same female staff say to another customer that they're closed as she nicely said "excuse me" to fill her cup. This same staff even gestured looking at her watch. Her actions are very uncalled for and is a horrible image to this Panera Bread location. I will not be returning here for any services. My current go to is the Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken (arugula, romaine, baby kale, red leaf blend, grape tomatoes and pickled red onions tossed in freshly made Green Goddess dressing and topped with fresh avocado, Applewood-smoked bacon and cage-free hard-boiled egg) and the Creamy Tomato Soup. This is a halfway decent Panera... cinnamon roll was good, as was the charged lemonade. One problem was that the charged lemonade was behind the counter - most other Paneras put it in a self-serve section. Some of us ordered drinks and some of us didn't, in my order I specifically did order and paid for a drink but I guess I was handed a water cup, as I was serving myself the drink Kelly began to yell at me from behind the counter that my cup was only for water. I tried explaining to her I ordered a drink, but she proceeded to be rude and block the drink dispenser so my teammates couldn't get any despite our coach paying for drinks. I wish I could give better ratings as I usually am a fan of Panera. This is mainly a review of the drive-through. Husband and I waited perhaps a good 10-15 at the drive through before we got any help. Person behind us got irritated so he/she left. But this preggy woman needed to eat so we stayed. Finally, a staff member took our order but closed it before we were finished. When she asked for our number again, we told her our order wasn't finished yet. Finally, we get to the window. Waited another 5 minutes to be acknowledged, then to get our order. Lady was sweet and apologetic for the wait (the one star is for your sweet disposition, Ms. Staff member) and she said she added a sample of their newest dessert for our trouble (which we chuckled to see was one miniature chocolate chip cookie). The icing on the cake was to see that they forgot our pastry and my husband had to drive back and get (remember - pregnant lady here). The strange thing is, looking inside the pick-up window, there were at least 5 people working in the kitchen, so the subpar service did not make sense. Hopefully Panera can turn their customer around, with better management or something. Would like to patronize their business again. read more

Was feeling a lite under the weather and wanted something warm. The one in Fairfield was out of the bread for the steak sandwich. The French rolls. Pretty much everything I was trying to select it was out of. Tried Vacaville also out. Was like let me try Vallejo. Well luckily for me they weren't. I had never been here or seen this location till today. Gotta say that the drive thru option is a big WOW factor. But I had already placed my order before getting there. The app had told me my food was ready 13 mins prior to me getting there. Drove up and saw the guy that brought me my food sitting. As I drove up he got up and then I saw him walking toward my card. Super friendly. The only only only only draw back was my soups didn't taste fresh. They weren't bad bad but they weren't great great. The French onion soup tasted like it had been on a warmer for a while. You know that taste soups get when you warm them up over and over and over again. ( Not sure maybe just me. ). The chicken noodle soup was okay but then again , Panera has never been my go to place for chicken noodle soup. The food by no means was bad. I still enjoyed my meal .. only thing is , you pay ALOT for Panera food, therefore you kind of hold the food to a higher standard .. I received a gift card for the business, so tried this location. I had only been once before years ago at the Napa store, so pretty much had to reaquaint myself with the menu. I considered myself lucky to get here before the CA min. wage increase for fast food workers is set to take effect. As this will almost undoubtedly raise menu prices across the board. After several minutes studying the menu, I opted for the roasted turkey & avocado BLT (to go). Kinda my fault, but I read roasted to mean a hot-melt sandwich, but this one's served cold. Still not a bad choice. They have what looks to be an attractive "pick 2" option where you can pair a half-sandwich with either soup or salad. I passed on that bowing to excess sodium fears. But overall, I found the price fair for my 1 full sandwich item. 1 sandwich=$14 (approx). Add soup or salad and a beverage however and you're easily north of the $20 threshold for a random lunch. Service wise, they were fully staffed (no surprise there considering the aforementioned pay bump coming for the workers). Workers were friendly and were passing out free cookies to guests. Wait wasn't long and the interior looked spotless. Some of the seating areas had charging ports and this location also has a handy drive-thru. They have an interesting "sip club" monthly membership with an unlimited drink feature for those so inclined? Subtracting a star because the self-serve ordering kiosks just inside the entrance were all down. I enjoy that ordering option, but signage says they'll be back up soon.
