I always liked Panera. It's pretty consistent with food, cleanliness and service. It is easy to get to and enough parking. The bakery is always tempting! I've had breakfast, lunch and supper. Today was lunch! After very very early flights into NOLA we needed something to eat. We arrived right after breakfast was up. It ends at 10:30. We got there at 10:35. Oh well. We both order the chicken salad on the sourdough bread. The sandwich was HUGE! We could've split it for sure. We each took half home. The chicken salad is tasty. The only thing the bread falls apart making it hard to eat. But the amount of chicken salad is really good. The sandwich came with chips which is pretty standard. The counters, floors and dining room was clean. Which is important to me. The food was ready in 15 +/- minutes. They was only 4 other people in there besides us so I wasn't expecting it to take long. All in all it was good just as I expected. The only negative was the front counter person was not friendly at all. Just looked at us when we walked in. No smile, no welcome, nothing, which is unusual for Panera. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she doesn't get paid enough. Maybe she just didn't want to be there. It happens. Food was good, we got two pick twos - one chicken avocado melt & broccoli cheddar soup + spicy steak Asiago bagel with chicken noodle soup. Both were very tasty and put together well! Now this is where the low stars come in. Front of house worker taking orders was so rude. She had an AirPod in and kept making not only us but other people repeat themselves and said "I can't hear you". Of course you can't sister - you have a freakin AirPod in. I'm not a Karen and normally wouldn't give a rat but she was rude and obviously trying to make her lack of effort everyone else's issue. You can't hear the way you need to because you have an AirPod in, not because people aren't speaking up. She was rude when we placed our order and then didn't ask if we'd like chips or drinks before she told us our total. Ended up just ordering drinks separately at the self service kiosk because we didn't feel like dealing with her nasty attitude again, which she was giving out to everyone for free. All the other employees we encountered were very nice. Tables were for the most part clean but most still had some crumbs - again not a huge deal, rushes happen and something's get over looked. I used to love Panera Bread as a better option to "fast" food during a hectic week day. However, lately this Panera has been failing in all areas. Today at 1:30pm, well past the lunch rush, I waited in the drive through for 30 minutes and all I ordered was a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was not the same as their usual. It was void of any vegetable and only had a couple noodles in tasteless broth. The last time I dined in the restaurant I ordered a chicken salad of some type and it was just ok and I remember thinking the food quality was on the decline while prices increasing. I will be bypassing Panera Bread from now on. I choose not to pay more for mediocre. I am sorry because I did really like their food. read more

So haven't been here in a while and had a gift card so we went to give it another shot. We got it to go and the drive to the Restaurant and back to the house is 7 minutes there andnd 7 minutes back Got two of the soups that were good and hot. Got a Chipotle chicken Flat bread pizza. I thought it was lacking flavor my wife thought it was good. But here is what the problem was,,,, it was not hot, was not warm but on the cool end and put it in the oven to warm it up. My wife got a steak and white cheddar. The problem with it was the the amount of meat on it. Here is a pic of one of the half's. They could have done a little better. So I give it 3 stars. Panera can be counted on to deliver a reasonably healthy, good tasting meal in a hurry... morning, noon or night. Exactly what I needed this evening. The food is consistently good. This store is pretty much on par with most I've visited. Not the best and far from the worst. Yes, the restroom could have been cleaner, but in their defense, it's fairly late in the day, and like everywhere else, they're short staffed. The lobby and dining room were clean. The limited service was adequate. My onion soup, Fuji apple chicken salad & warm baguette were ready within a few short minutes. I picked them up and took a seat on the patio to enjoy one of the best 500 calorie dinners around. read more

I like the coziness of the restaurant. Their bread is the best!!! I don't ho a lot bc they are a little pricey but its definitely worth a treat every now and again. This time I had the chipotle chicken avocado melt and the bread on this sandwich is so light and fluffy with a little crispiness when you take a bite,really delicious. I had the whole this time which was plenty for me so I'll probably do the half next time, but I'm not a big eater so it'll probably be just right for someone with a hearty appetite. The Black Bean Soup is low fat and vegan. For me, those words usually don't equate with FEAST, but this was hands-down the best black bean soup I've had at a restaurant. I ordered it with the half sandwich, a turkey avocado BLT. I really like the texture of the bread and the sandwich was good, it just wasn't outstanding in any way. Plus, it was a little pricey for a half sammie and soup. Still the food was good and I'll return for more of those beans...they were delicious, even if they DID come from a bag. My wife ordered the French Onion soup. Did you know that when you order this in Paris, the French is assumed? Neither did she. Anyway, this was a really tasty version - super rich and lots and lots of flavor. The drink selection was excellent and I settled on a fruity green tea option that was terrific. Not only did I have a refill during the meal, but got a cup to go. As my first visit, I'm impressed with the food, just not the prices. super disappointed with two of the four sandwiches i purchased. one was the new chicken bacon rancher -- it had maybe 3 crumbles of bacon, no cheese and barely any ranch. mostly just chicken thrown on the bread. second was the "enhanced" smokehouse bbq chicken -- there was one slice of onion, no cheese & a dollop of bbq sauce under the chicken in the middle of bread which a) made it really bland and b) made the bottom middle of bread really soggy. I've been a fan of Panera for a long time, but if you're going advertise "new" and "enhanced" product (not too mention the price increase) you should be putting out quality food. read more

I've been a Panera fan for years, but I think my support ended this week. On Saturday 04/06/24, I used the app to order a large hot chai latte and a pick two meal for my daughter. I arrived at the store a few minutes early and parked until I received notification that my order was ready for pickup. I got in the drive thru, said my name, then waited behind another car for over 10 minutes at the window. This was longer than I've ever waited before at Panera. When I finally got my order, the latte was cold and sandwich was lukewarm. By this time, I'm annoyed because now I have to go in so they can remake my latte and I'm in a hurry, which is why I ordered in the app for pick up in the first place. When I go inside I tell the manager my latte is cold. She is unapologetic and offers to remake it in a tone that suggests she's doing me a favor. She gets someone else to remake it and it's a small. I said, "I paid for a large". The employee asks the manager what to do (what do you mean, I want what I paid for!) and they have a conversation I can't hear. By now I'm really aggravated but they remake it again and finally get it right. I left a review in the email that was sent after my visit and expressed my dissatisfaction. The manager Lily offered for me to come back so they can remake my order. I went back on Monday, April 8 and they remade my order; it was fine. I also ordered more food, but my mistake was not opening the bag until I got home. My chicken and avocado BLT had no "B" and a sprinkle of chicken confetti, and my Mexican corn chowder had no tortilla chip toppings. I did not bother going all the way back to have them remake it, I'm just done. Panera is too expensive for me to keep going and being disappointed every time. Panera does have the best chai latte, so I'll go when I can get a discount lol read more

Like all Panera Breads this place is so yummy!! I went today and I had the Baja Grain Bowl with Chicken, it had Quinoa and Avocados, Black Beans, Corn, Tomatoes & Sour Cream. I also had the 'Famous' French Onion Soup and it was as good as everyone says it is! I also mixed my Sweet Tea with the Green Tea and that was perfect! I enjoy the different kinds of salads they have there drinks and very nice. Try a different kind of drink ever time I go. I really like there Chicken berry salad. Had that when my sister and our daughters were all out for a girls day out. The had the food fast and we all enjoyed what we got. Have been in when crowds were there but they took orders fast and got them out in a timely way. Nice place for a lunch or coffee break as they also have a nice chose of baked goods. If close to a college nice place to do some studying as not overly loud. A nice place for ladies to go for a tea or coffee and to be able to visit. So.....they forgot my chicken AGAIN today and put 2 rolls in the bag when i had food for 3. I told the manager and he tried to tell me 2 rolls were the standard , when at other locations they give u SO MUCH BREAD u could make another meal with it.So since he wanted to argue with me i just told him i dont care, ill pay for it. He gave me the rolls for free anyways so i GUESS thats cool-ish of him. But whatever happened to the customer is always right? And the drive thru girl completely ignored me when i said put extra rolls in the bag to begin with, which if it were such an issue, i wouldve offered to pay with no problems. Also employees were just standing around like they aint got sh*t to do I am done with this place. I always have to go in and fix my order. Always good, always fresh, it's good clean food. Panera salads are excellent as well as their soups. When purchasing the prepackaged soups from the grocery store they taste a little different. They taste much better directly from the Panera restaurant. Great on the road option as well as a Quick lunch. I love the fact that they include the nutritional facts for each of their items sold. I truly don't get the attraction and love of this place. I will preface my remarks by saying that I do own a restaurant and a restaurant that is a direct competitor to Panera. My comments are based on my experience as a consumer, not a competitior. The decor and atmosphere is very good. It felt warm and welcoming and I liked that feel (much better than my own, truth be told). I was confused by the menu as nothing on the menu told you what was on/in the sandwich salad. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Panini (full sandwich) and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. My order came out quickly and the staff was cordial and helpful. The sandwich, to my surprise, came with tomatoes and bacon (neither of which was mentioned on the menu). The soup appeared institutional (from a can with cost being the primary concern). It was fairly tasteless and had WAY more carrots than anything else. The chicken sandwich had MAYBE 2oz of chicken (see photo), the bacon was typical institutional and frozen, and I tasted no chipotle seasoning at all. The bread on the sandwich was toasted just the way I like it. The bread with the soup was good as well. All this costs $15.00, much more than it was worth. For me, there are too many other places doing similar things MUCH better. I don't understand the blind loyalty to this place, but I don't get Dairy Queen either. Go figure. read more

I'm curious what the Total brain power is at this location. Yet again I've ordered curbside in this case because of the pandemic. I've ordered multiple items that would need a fork or a spoon and neither is included. This is something that is repeated multiple times since I've been there. Later, I went to another worker to ask for a plastic fork and knife , she didn't hand it to me even though it's just right there in front of her. Not nice! Every Panera Bread I've been to have had the service service ever. I've ordered multiple of their different salads and they have always seemed a little dry to me. Their bbq flatbread chicken never fails to amaze me. It is so goooooood, especially if I request them to lay low on the bbq sauce. Hits the spot every time! I've only been to the Panera in Spanish Fort AL which was impressive , which and tried this one on the way back from Louisiana, in Slidel. For a corporate chain that has bread in the name of the restaurant , you'd think bakery items would be a priority, but the bread was stale, tasted about 4 days old and there were no fresh bread to take out, it's hard to find healthy inexpensive fast food along the freeway, and this was overpriced for the counter service and quality. $28.76 for 2 half sandwich soup combos and 2 chocolate croissants that were so stale, we threw them out after one bite. If the corporate quality control actually reads this, I'd suggest taking your staff on a tax deductible trip to Paris or Germany to research some of the top rated consumer corporate chain bakeries. Even the truck stops in Europe have much better quality food than what we settle for here. Overall the quality of food in the flyover states is not great, and rare to find cooked fresh vegetables other than a salad bar. It's hard to find a fresh bakery in New Orleans that has it's roots in French cuisine read more

I love Panera!! The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are always helpful and friendly. On the rare occasion that there's an error in my order, they are quick to apologize and make it right. The store is always clean with staff frequently wiping down tables and chairs. I don't have very good experiences with Panera. Last night I went out with my wife, I got the pick two option with chicken soup and a Fuji apple salad. I specifically asked if the salad had mayo in it and the dressing in the side. The salad came out with a creamy dressing (mayo based) on it. The soup wasn't very appetizing and was cold. The servers said they could not heat the soup up any hotter (I used the public microwave) and that the dressing did not have mayonnaise in it, despite it clearly having mayo. The food wasn't very appealing but the apathy of the waitstaff really turned me off. read more

Rip off time! If you like paying $10 for a salad with less than 3 ounces of meat, go for it.

If you want to spend $11 and go away hungry for lunch this is the place for you. I'm with one of the reviewers who just doesn't understand the attraction of these places. I would much rather go to a local place and spend money there - I assure you I'll probably get better food, less expensive and help a local business owner, although I guess this Fremeaux location is a franchise, but still big business. Truth be told I really went into Panera because I wanted to try ApplePay - very cool and easy by the way. The wifi is a joke in this place - wouldn't stream music from a website or load my email account - had to leave wifi and use connection from my phone which worked - and I use SPRINT and you know that service is crap (wink) so Panera wifi is worse than crap!!! :-) The half sandwich and soup tasted ok, but it wasn't anything special. I'm kinda excited for BJ Brewery opening next door - the one in Florida is really cool. I wonder what kind of lunch I can get there for $11? read more
