I buy extra when I can because of the minus side... It is almost impossible to get in here! I don't mind queuing up to wait at a restaurant, but every time I try to go they are lined up out the door. I have tried to go at off-times and it's still busy. Being so busy, the experience at the counter always feels rushed and there is nowhere to sit, so I never stick around once I have my bagels. I realize it's a good problem for a restaurant to have, but it still makes me want to go elsewhere. Most times I do. The bagels are a definite 5+ stars. The overall experience is 2 stars at best. Splitting the difference and giving them 3. I keep going back (well, trying to, at least) because the bagels are that good. Your results may vary. If you figure out a decent time to go in, give me a holler and let me know. I'll buy you a bagel!

The fresh bagels are delicious as are the house made cream cheeses. I got a half dozen to take home with everything and oat being faves but the cherry almond and pumpernickel didn't disappoint either. They have a nice serve yourself coffee bar offering all Abita Roasting coffee in all varieties. Creole Bagelry and Cafe also offers a huge selection of bennys, omelettes, Belgian Waffles and breakfast sandwiches , lunch sandwiches, salads and lunch platters. Don't skip the frozen coffees and teas !

The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the veggie shrimp coconut curry, and it was full of flavor--rich, comforting, and beautifully prepared. And the Cuban Mule? So good. The twist with rum instead of the usual vodka gives it this smooth, slightly deeper flavor that just works perfectly. Everything about this visit felt warm and enjoyable--the kind of place you leave already thinking about when you'll come back. Highly recommend.

The vibe, ambiance, friendly & stellar service, and top notch food are muy excelente!!! First off, you must order the CAFE CON LECHE (coffee w/ milk)! The strong Cuban espresso will definitely caffeinate your world and you might even ask for a second cup to go! I might be a little biased, but it is the BEST cafe con leche that I've ever had on the Northshore. The cafe con tres leches is another good choice as well. You can enjoy and savor every sip of their coffees any time of year! Next, you must try the Havana Sampler (tostones- fried plantains, maduros- fried, caramelized sweet plantains, croquetas, fried yuca) with fried pork chunks. Yes, I know - everything FRIED makes the world go round! We have only one life to live so you might as well enjoy all the yummy foods from this diverse world of ours! Remember to dip everything in the homemade mojo sauce (it has a strong garlic flavor)! The Cuban sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches and is a great lunch option. When I want to splurge, I have to get the special oxtail soup. The oxtail is fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. The chef is very creative and offers special dishes throughout the month. Anytime is a good time for cocktails here! I have enjoyed many of their specialty mojitos - the mango and watermelon were both so refreshing to enjoy on a sunny day. They even have a mojito flight if you can't decide on one flavor. I also enjoyed the caipirinha (Brazilian national cocktail), which surely packs a punch (but in a good way!). Que Rico is a spacious, beautifully decorated restaurant and is the perfect place for a small or even larger group! On certain nights, they even have salsa dancing, which provides for a fun and more lively evening! Make plans to visit Que Rico for coffee, drinks, or enjoy a meal with family and friends ...it will be a fabulous fiesta FUN-day !!!

I've had breakfast, lunch and supper. Today was lunch! After very very early flights into NOLA we needed something to eat. We arrived right after breakfast was up. It ends at 10:30. We got there at 10:35. Oh well. We both order the chicken salad on the sourdough bread. The sandwich was HUGE! We could've split it for sure. We each took half home. The chicken salad is tasty. The only thing the bread falls apart making it hard to eat. But the amount of chicken salad is really good. The sandwich came with chips which is pretty standard. The counters, floors and dining room was clean. Which is important to me. The food was ready in 15 +/- minutes. They was only 4 other people in there besides us so I wasn't expecting it to take long. All in all it was good just as I expected. The only negative was the front counter person was not friendly at all. Just looked at us when we walked in. No smile, no welcome, nothing, which is unusual for Panera. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she doesn't get paid enough. Maybe she just didn't want to be there. It happens. Food was good, inside was clean, parking lot was adequate and bathroom was okay! I would definitely recommend! Cheers

We shared the chicken shawarma plate and ordered the cabbage rolls and sautéed mushrooms as side items. They have good iced tea as well. Plate was a large oval plate that came with chicken, salad, rice, hummus, and pita. Cabbage rolls have rice, beef, and I'm told cardamom for a warm spice in your mouth. They are divine. We had rolled grape leaves once and they are good but I enjoy the cabbage rolls more. Pita is good, hummus is very creamy and delightful on the palate. Felafel is hot and fresh as well. Salad has feta and a yogurt type dressing. All excellent. We love this place. Ian has been my server the last 2 times and he provides excellent service.
