Rather pleasant decor in this suburban strip mall moderne. Parking is hellish, but that seems to be par for this overcrowded exurb. The food is still Paneraish, but I've been known to grab a cinnamon roll here and not complain. My latest discovery - the onion soup. Why have I never tried this before. It's actually not bad! Good customer service here. They definitely try hard to please. read more

This location is waaayyy too busy for weekday lunch. It takes a good 15-20 minutes to stand in line, order, and then wait to receive your food. While I agree that in general Panera is a bit overpriced, there aren't really a lot of other options in this area, making it a go to by default. That said, the food does taste quite wonderful - huge fan of the frontega chicken panini. If you're in the mood to waste 500 calories on pure carbs and sugar, the bakery items are delicious. read more

I came in today for the first time in a few months and was greeted with irritated stares and bad attitudes by management and cashiers I don't know what their issue is but definitely did ruin my mood.such a bad atmosphere and the kitchen staff weren't wearing masks or wearing them properly read more

I really like the new green goddess salad but it is usually hit or miss on the presentation and care in the preparation. I understand the role of quick serve restaurants but why is there such a big decrepancy between this location and the panera on route 1 in laurel Md. I wish i took the extra few minutes drive to enjoy my food. read more

Panera Bread - They literally threw this salad together. - Sandwiches Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

See all

Every time that I go to this location, they literally NEVER get my order right. Whether it's a salad, sandwich, whatever...Its been that way for years, and I rarely go to this location because of that. The customer service for pickup wasn't bad, the manager seemed friendly. However, its always something with my order. Other locations are not like this, its specifically the Westech location in Silver Spring..... read more

One of my regular lunchtime spots. After you work in this area a few months, you quickly figure out what your options are, and Panera is one of the better ones. The food is consistent with any other Panera, no surprises here. This place used to be packed at lunch, but Chick-fil-a seems to have pulled some of their business away. They still manage to get your food to you quickly, and the staff is usually friendly. And it won't clog you arteries and stop your heart like the five guys around the corner! (I still love five guys though...) read more

While the parking lot is the only reason I give this location 4 stars, this Panera deserves 5 because of its cleanliness, friendly staff, and an amazing amount of seating. Every nook and cranny is used for seating but it is easy to navigate. read more

This is my regular Panera which I always really enjoyed however, yesterday when I visited was the first time since the pandemic began that I had been there (to eat inside). Not many employees - long wait to order and general uncleanliness. There was an old bandaid on the table when I first sat down. The cleaning lady wiped it away with a dirty rag - no disinfectant spray. I almost threw my food away. Everything was unclean. After eating a salad there my stomach felt unwell and I still haven't recovered. I will not be going back. read more

Still 5 stars! After my last few experiences at other Paneras which were terrible, I had to update this one. I came here one evening to get some dessert that would last a while - a cinnamon crumb cake. It was still hella fresh at that hour (they had about 5 of them out). The guy who rang me up was so nice (and adorable to boot). He put the box in a bag that didn't have handles, so I would've had to hold the bag like a box anyway. After putting it in, he asked if I wanted a bigger one. He was so nice and gentle with the cake - literally treating it like a baby that I just said no and decided to cradle my delicious treat out of there! read more

Well, I don't know that a place like this can be 4 star really. I just had a chai tea latte here. My companion had the cream of broccoli soup and she seemed to enjoy it. I've had soup and sandwich here before and it was fine. It closed at 9, which I found a little annoying, but hey, it was Tuesday night. read more

This is my first review ever and Panera took a L On this one ...placed my order on the phone because I was on a time crunch, I got there waited in line to pay for my order only to find out the order wasn't even made yet, I had to wait an extra 10 mins to get a simple breakfast sandwich when I stated I want it as soon as possible when I was asked when do i want it read more

I give it five because every time I've been in the staff is super friendly and I have always gotten great food. This is not always the case with Panera, but this one is consistent. read more

Panera Bread - Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on ciabatta. - Sandwiches Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

A healthier option for "fast food." The kid says the macaroni and cheese is the best he's ever tasted. The black bean soup is vegan. The tomato soup may be too. They are good about veganizing just about anything, but is always check before I leave with my carry out order. Once in a while some cheese or chicken accidentally gets put in. No problem, they will correct the order cheerfully and quickly. read more

I waited in a long line to be told no bagels once again... at this point before waiting make sure you look to see if your basket has bagels in it. Ridiculous read more

Went in to this Panera and placed my order for a Panini and tomato soup bowl. First of all the "Panini" came back as a hot sandwich and my bread bowl soup was not even luke warm. We returned the food and was told the Panini came like that because they don't have a presser. If you don't have a presser then the cashier's should inform customers beforehand so time and money is not wasted. Don't waste your time going to this Panera unless you want a bagel. If they even have the bagels you want. read more

Absolutely amazed by the great customer service me and my fiancé received from Jessica (we ordered a bread bowl with squash soup, a grilled cheese, 2 bottles of sparkling water, and half a sandwich). She was so sweet! We then moved down to get our food. I saw Abdul and his team handle an unnecessarily rude customer in a very calm and poise manner. Could not be prouder to call this location "the Panera I CHOOSE to go to when I treat myself and my family" Thanks everyone! read more

This is my favorite Panera. It's clean, their staff is kind and attentive, they have disinfecting wipes stationed around the dining room for customers to use, and they have seltzer on tap at the soda machine!! They also have a lovely outdoor patio area. Thank you for being such a great place to get work done in this crazy time. read more

Welp! Here I am months later with a new review. Management has changed and the service is SOOOOO much better! Now I don't mind visiting. The person who was willing to assist is still there, but guess what? Her attitude is very different. Maybe she was having issues with the old managers too which reflected in her behavior as a service provider. read more

I mean...they served me raw chicken and then was like "it's not raw because it's smoked chicken". That's unfortunate because it was indeed rubbery and raw. I did get money back though so that was a plus at least. read more

This place is just amazing! I come here pretty often when I am craving Panera Bread once I am in the area of my home. Every time I come here, they greet me right away and always smile and everyone who works here is just the sweetest. They are very polite and know everything and anything about the menu, because I have asked a couple times on specifications for certain menu items. The manager is also very polite. There was a slight mishap with my order one time and he fixed it right away. I love this location. They really are very nice here and very helpful :) read more

Panera Bread at the Tech Rd location deserves a fairly decent rating! I go this location a lot to do my work. On my recent visit, management was constantly walking around inspecting every detail of the presentation--ensuring the pastries and breads were lined up and looking just right. One manager walked around tidying up and as soon as the line got too long, he got on the register to keep things moving. Anyway, this Panera location will continue to be my office, meeting spot and refuge (when my power was out, this is where I came to stay connected til they closed and we all had to leave - ha). read more

I was wavering between 2 and 3 stars. I ordered a sandwich and bowl of chicken noodle soup. I got a big chunk of bread with a little bit of something in the middle, and broccoli cheese soup instead. Ultimately settling on 2 stars. I've had far more fulfilling sandwiches and, at least get the soup right maybe? $15 to boot! Doubt I'll be back. read more

Typical for the Tech Rd Panera they messed up our pick up order. Just once I would like them to get an order right and put everything in the bag, is that too much to ask? This time they put bread in instead of a roll and left out an entire salad. Come on! Wrong bread, distracted, missing an entire salad, inexcusable. read more

/rant: Horrible!! Every time I come in here the incompetent staff gets my order wrong and the VERY last time I will be in this particular Panera, I received a rude encounter with the manager on duty. My mom wanted blue cheese on her salad instead of gorgonzola and the cashier put the substitution on the receipt. Now mind you, we were not aware at the time that they don't even have blue cheese (that steak blue cheese salad they have is just blue cheese dressing). So when we looked at the salads none was marked with which one had gorgonzola and which one had blue cheese. We were then told by the staff making the food that blue cheese and gorgonzola is the same thing. Yes, they think the two cheese are the same thing. Similar in look yes, but they are NOT the same thing! So at this point, we wanted our money back and the manager storms over and asks "why don't you want it" ummm lets see cos we want blue cheese (again, no one told us we don't even have blue cheese). She then tells me the same thing that the two cheeses are the same and so I asked whats with the steak blue cheese salad then and her reply is "because our cashier is a high school student." Okaaaay sooo she's stupid then? Basically that's what she implied. So yeah, service was horrible here and they seem to not know whats on the damn menu! Would have been a different turnout if the manager would just explain that the steak blue cheese only uses blue cheese dressing and not actual blue cheese crumbles. Yes, I should have read that part of the menu when we were arguing that the two cheese aren't the same but damnit, I wear eyeglasses and she should know the menu! Clearly she doesn't. I love Panera's food tho.... /endrant read more

I ordered a chicken noodle soup. They charged me $5.40. When I came to ask the ladies if the order was mine, they were rude and the soup itself was basically broth with a few noodles floating. read more

I love Panera, but I've had some really poor experiences here at this location. The manager dealt with me directly and was aware of my award of free bagel for the month, the next day he stated he could not offer it to me because he could not access it....even after he was the one who rang me up for it directly the other day and even remembered me. I spent 15 minutes going back and fourth with him. Even after he agreed he seen and verified my reward he refused to acknowledge it that day. It was honestly ridiculous. Nevertheless, after contacting corporate and getting everything situated I was able to claim my award without issues. It was the mere fact I had to do all of that just to claim something the manager knew about already which was really difficult to deal with. I love this establishment but feels like there is a great lack of customer appreciation. read more

This place is awful. They constantly make mistakes. I order a half dozen bagels, I got 5. They forgot all my baguettes for 3 different meals. I ordered a steak sandwich, get home and find no steak! read more

Oh Panera, I wish you could get it right. Your food, when done right, is fantastic. Sadly, it's been a year since you got an order right. Sometimes, it's minor- like when you forget our rolls or apples. Sometimes, it's a lot bigger- like today, when my power hummus chicken bowl lacked both hummus and chicken. When we order online, you know you get the exact order. When your menu items have 5 components or less, you'd think you could get it right. Unfortunately, you fail. Consistently. I went from eating here once a week to once a month, each time hoping beyond hope that you'll get it right. I wish you could. read more

Ever since they took my favorite Panini off the menu....... I just don't come here that much anymore. But the service is always great. The lines can get long but that's only during a lunch rush. There is a mild dinner rush line but it's not that bad. Not as bad as during lunch times. There's plenty of seating. It's not noisy inside like another location that I won't mention, lol. I like this spot if I'm with a friend that wants to come here but I usually do not come pick up food here just for myself. read more

The food is good. But the service can be better. Only one cashier. The manager told the young lady to stop talking go help customer. When the cashier ( name Simia ) got to the register . Most of the menu items I've tried have been tasty. They lose a star because the food is really NOT healthy-- but they try to market themselves as healthy-- look at the nutritional info online. Watch out for their soups-- all are sodium bombs. read more

This is a terrible location. I ordered the Chicken Chipotle Avocado Melt and they gave me a half Frontega Chicken and threw some Avocado on top on burnt bread in hopes of pretending it was similar? hey. i have a question. why take a sandwich order if you cant fucking make a sandwich? do your customers prefer ordering sandwich platters? because that is typically what i receive when ordering what i assume will be a fully assembled sandwich. stop fucking taking orders if you cant make the food correctly. just stop. slow down. i'd rather you tell me you cant take my order then get a fucking disassembled and soggy collection of sandwich materials. fuck you guys. 5 stars tho when they do make it right. read more

Out of all the Panera places I've been to I think this is at my top 3 locations I would dine in at. Any time of day it's always clean and not too noisy. I always order the "you pick 2" soup and salad combo. Normally I would order to go but with the spare time I had I figured I would just dine in. Comparing portions from to go and dining in, there always a huge difference. I feel like the half salad that comes in the small container is just a portion of the bowl compared to dining in. So if you want your money's worth dine. read more

Good restaurant, the food is quality. However the portions are a little small. The plates are really big so it makes it seem that there is not a lot of food. Always a solid choice. read more

Went into Panera on my lunch break. This location is always very busy. While waiting for my order at the pick up counter you notice all the staff on the line preparing the food. I'm all for having fun at work but when the staff are goofing around along side their manager and the food is coming out slower that's an issue. And when the staff are arguing and one starts cursing that's also an issue. The lady at the counter calling numbers asked me what my number was, I told her and moments later my bag of food was thrown on the counter and smacked her in the face. Highly unprofessional. I won't be back to this location. Oh and if you're in a rush, my suggestion is to definitely order ahead which I should have done. I would have then missed all the unprofessional behavior from the line. read more

I order from here once in a while. I work in Silver Spring but this area is particularly busy so I only go there when I am craving Panera. I always order Rapid Pick-up and it is always ready when I get there. Tonight it was ready and I grabbed my bag and went back to the office. When I got back I opened my salad and saw it was wrong. Sigh... now I have to deal with the manager..... When the manager came on the line at 1st I thought it was going to be an issue because he said I could have a credit when I come back. No no I don't go there that often so that doesn't work. He put me on hold and when he came back he had a good solution. It just shows that customer service is still good and out there. We use Panera for our large office functions sometime. We cater for over 100 people. I am glad we can continue our partnership. And no the manager did not know this. :) read more
