But the place is huge, I bet it could hold 60+. A host showed me to a table and gave me a table number, then I ordered on their website via QR code (or I could have gone to the counter). The host seemed unnecessary. The 1/4 chicken breast + 1 side was good. I like the Medium sauce which is the right level of heat. I've been going to Nandos for years now and it hasn't really disappoint. I really like the decor and there is plenty of seating in this place. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food has been really good and I really like the Portuguese rice. I like the option of sauces they have. My favorite is the garlic lemon herbs I think that's what it is called. The only downside is that the chicken is a more on the smaller side compare to other chicken places like this. read more

The new Sammie's are called handhelds. Mine had chicken, lettuce, tomato and medium Nando's sauce. Am I getting older or did the medium sauce get spicier? Anyway the sandwich was tasty. I got it on the wrap. For my side I got their seasonal corn on the cob. That was fresh and yummy. Other than that the flavors paired well together and made for a tasty mid week light dinner. I also ordered the Naughty Natas but they were out again so I had to settle for the Brownie...not as yummy. I was kinda shocked by how much they were out of for the early in the week but maybe I just had bad luck *shrugs*. The space was huge, and clean and wasn't too noisy. They have a small area for outdoor seating right in front of the restaurant. Parking was easy because the garage is right behind the restaurant. I scored a spot on the first level which was just a short walk to the entrance. Street parking is hard to come by unless you just get lucky. Bathrooms were gender neutral so I can tell Nando's is "with the times." Friendly greeters and waiters; food usually excellent - today seemed excessively salty and I was surprised to bite into a bone in my pulled chicken. We have eaten at two Nando's locations 7 to 10 times in the last eight months since moving to the Maryland/DC area and brought family and friends many of those times because the food and service are usually quite good, however... 1. On previous visits bathroom #1 at the Silver Spring location has always had one side of the safety belt missing on the child changing table and bathroom always dirty, 2. Tonight bathroom #2 on new year's eve was amazingly clean, floor recently mopped, clean toilet seat, paper towels; went to check the baby changing table in same 2nd bathroom, too, and yes, there were both sides of the safety belt present, but there was poop smeared all over the changing table. We did not change our child's diaper there. 3. We forgot to use the Nando's app to place our order to get points for our purchase, so we asked the male server why the order number in our receipt e-mail would not work in our Nando's app to award us points on the previous purchase made tonight; he asked his manager and returned saying there is no way to get a printed receipt or barcode number to get the points for prior Nando's purchase(s) in the Nando's app, even though the app seems to say there is. We are sadly disappointed the delicious food (we got two rainbow bowls, lavender lemonade, and a naughty nata dessert), kind servers, and fun music and ambiance doesn't match the restrooms or customer rewards app. Step it up, Nando's! read more

I have been to several Nando's and this was by far the worse one! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated at a table. After sitting at a table for several minutes and not seeing anyone, we went to the counter to order our food. We were never told if someone would come to our table or if we ordered from the counter, so we didn't really sure how it worked. We decided to eat here after a movie because there was a huge sign at the front door that stated it was BOGO for a meal with proof of movie ticket. However, when we got to the front and ordered, the person ranging the sub informed us that the promo had expired. However, since it was still posted, she said she would honor the deal. Apparently, the computer she was looking at show the discounted price, but the kiosk where I scan my card showed a much higher price. I was told that I would be charged for the price that she sees but not the one I see. I did not trust this so luckily I had cash and used that. The restaurant itself did not have the "clean" feeling and this was confirmed when I went to the restroom and it had the strongest smell of urine. There was a lot of liquid on the floor around the toilet so I am guessing that was the source. On the way back to my table, I decided to grab some sauces for my chicken. This is the first Nando's location. I've been to where there were not several bottles of each sauce so that you could take one to the table with you. I wanted to take a salt shaker as well, but it was empty. I returned to my seat and awaited my food. I always loved the fries from Nandos, but tonight they were not good at all. They tasted like they were fried in old grease and there was no flavored to them at all. They were also pretty hard. The chicken was mediocre at best. The only reason I give this review two stars is for the Paloma. That was pretty tasty. Another thing I really do not like when I am eating is when they sweep and mop around me. We arrived at the restaurant an hour before they close. However, as we sat at our table, eating, they were sweeping and mopping all around us. It was pretty gross. read more

I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. It was my first time going to a Nandos so I didn't really know what to expect. Upon walking in the ambience is beautiful. They have lots of artwork and stories on the walls that you can read. Music was playing and it was good music. The host was really knowledgeable. Soon as we walked in he sat us at a table, and told us how to order. He told us the preferred way to order so it's a little easier on us. Ordering was easy you just walk up to the register, a cashier takes your order. They're really accommodating if you want to change things on the item that you're buying. my only downside was that the food wasn't that good to me. It needed a lot of sauce to bring out the flavors. Their sauces are amazing so definitely try them! The serving size of the butternut squash I ordered (delicious btw) was for one person. I also ordered a Caesar salad and it was the for one person. It was super cheap! The fries were awesome. The sangria was really sweet and they put soda in it, so it's more like punch so it wasn't really my favorite. They have a white sangria and seasonal one as well so maybe those are better. I probably would stick to a glass of wine or something. I had the plainish chicken today and the last time I was at the Gaithersburg location about a month ago. I enjoyed my chicken much better today. The skin was crispier and had more flavor. Today I tried the mashed potato as many folks raved about it. I thought it was good but nothing extraordinary. I saw that other reviews had said the service was slow but I thought it was about the same as my visit in Gaithersburg. My friends and I ate outside in front of the restaurant. The bench was a little tight and hard to get in and out. This location inside is spacious and open. I enjoyed the layout and ambiance. I will agree with other reviews though, when we initially picked a booth to sit at, I did notice food on the seats. It was as if the legs and flats came from baby chicks instead of adult chickens. Here's how it works, after you're seated and take a look over the menu, you go up to the counter and tell them what you want as well as your desired level of spiciness of your chicken. Before your food is prepared and bought to your table you grab any extra sauces and utensils that you need. After the food is bought to the table, you will be checked up on several times to make sure that everything is okay (which I really appreciated); the manager even came to check up on my friend and I. I ordered a "Chicken Burger" with pineapple on top, fries with "peri-naise" (spicy mayo), macho peas (pease mixed with chili and mint), and a pineapple lemonade to drink. As for the sauces, it being my first time I grabbed one of each. My favorites were the garlic sauce for the chicken, and the lemon herb sauce for the macho peas.
