What a great place!!! Warm and friendly greetings from staff right when I walked in, a nice gentleman offered me a menu. Just made my day. I ordered 3 thighs and brussel sprouts. Everything was so tasty and fresh. As I was enjoying being able to relax and decompress from my day, one of the other employees, petite Asian female offered me a dessert because she felt bad the food was taking a while. (From June, 2023) My friend who I met up with on a Sunday evening in early June requested this specifically since he was coming from Las Vegas and he doesn't see these places out there unfortunately. Nando's is his number 1 food spot and he emphasized I would be aboard the food chain once I tried it myself. Needless to say, I get his obsession with it as I have been converted to a fan and I'm excited they are opening more locations. I decided on wings, 1/2 chicken w/ macho peas, and a mango lemonade. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and mashed potatoes (double carbs). We shared everything and I was loving the eats and the sauce. He ordered the xtra hot for us which has a kick but not overwhelmingly burning. That is my sauce for future visits. As for the chicken, it's tender, seasoned nicely, and has a nice char to it. Drizzle that sauce on it for a power punch to the taste buds. The macho peas were also tasty; like green peas in mashed potato format with some spice. And of course, you gotta drizzle that sauce. Wings are large with char and saucy as I like. Also loved the chicken sandwich and fries; the bread holds the snadiwhc right and the fries have the right crispiness and seasoning. I didn't try the mashed potatoes since fries were enough carbs for me. And of course, you gotta wash it all down with that mango lemonade; absolutely delish! As with all locations, you order on the app whether you're picking up or dining in. If you're eating in the restaurant, they'll provide a buzzer when the food is ready. Staff here is friendly and hooked us up with extra sauce. While we rolled in about half hour before closing, I'm thankful they had all the items we ordered. Well, I don't know how they could sell out of anything given their items are derived from that chicken! This location is near the Reston-Wiehle Metro stop. There's plenty of parking as well. And I've been informed as I'm writing this that they have a location in Houston, my current residence! Looks like I know where my next meal will be from! read more

I love nandos and frequent the mosaic location often. However, the Reston location wasn't up to standard for me. We ordered chicken, macho peas, dirty rice, and mashed potatoes. Of the 4 chicken pieces we got, 2 were heavily burnt and one was super dry. The other was cooked perfectly. As other reviewers had noted, I think this location could improve by having better consistency with their grilling. The staff were super nice so I think if I had dined in and noticed the burnt chicken on the spot, they probably would've been more than happy to cook up another one. Unfortunately, I ordered takeout so I didn't notice until I got home. On another note, the portions seemed smaller than other locations but that might've been my imagination with takeout. Nando's is a restaurant I've known and heard about for a long time, and have always wanted to go to. Don't ask why I've wanted so badly to visit a Nandos. It seems pretty random, doesn't it? Of all the places- famous steakhouses, gourmet celebrity restaurants, even televised sweets shops would make more sense to be on the list of "want to go's". But nope, I got Nandos. I would normally give nandos 5 stars on a good day but I don't know what was going on here. I got a chicken wrap, mashed potatoes, peas and natas. Another update...Nando's is just consistently....inconsistent. This is the death knell for restaurants when you just can't always expect a good experience. I would not be surprised if they go out of business shortly. What happened you ask? We go for lunch and the place is less than half full. We order our Chicken Peri Peri bowl with extra pickled onions and arugula. We notice there is a new lunch menu where you get the bowl + a drink for $12. Not bad. We didn't notice the lunch deal at first and we order off the regular menu without being notified. New guy at the register so understand. We then have to wait 5-10 mins to get the order corrected. Now, I can't really blame the new guy but I can blame Mgmt for throwing this poor guy out there to the lions. We finally get the order placed but then it takes over 10 mins for us to get our food. To top it off, we have no pickled onions and different sauces on our chicken. Just a really poor experience...and no Manager in site to make things right. I notice the table next to us complaining as well. I hear the lady from the kitchen blaming the new guy...why isn't mgmt coming out to apologize and offering something (i.e. a free dessert? A free entree next time) to make up for all these issues??? So what has my overall experience at Nando's been? Small, inconsistent portions, spotty service, decent to really tasty dishes...but overall just not quite good enough. You really have to give a place like Chic-fil-a props when you see the consistency and attention to detail by their management. Came here on a Friday with my family. So lucky it wasn't crowded. When the food came , my order appeared to be incorrect- it was an error on my husbands end and NOT Nando's. But the manager - Iyesha/ Ayesha ? Was so caring , understanding and kind she kindly offered to provide me with the meal I wanted at no additional charge. I really appreciate her kindness. New level of incompetence from this Nando's. Put my order in through their mobile app. Set for curbside. Arrived a few minutes after the "ready" time. Waited 15-20 additional minutes with no action. Went in to find out "they don't have my order". Checked my email receipt and the charge charge to my credit card. Yup, I didn't do anything wrong. They can't (or won't) even cancel my order. Went to Chick-fil-a next door and did a curbside order there. Yup Chick-fil-a knows how to do it right. Started a charge back on my credit card. Customer service was not the best in our experience: Food was ready quickly, but they left two side dishes out of our order and my husband had to drive all the way back to the store. They didn't offer any form of apology for their error, much less any compensation for our wait and trouble. Food: The bone-in chicken was pretty tasty. Also liked the fries. Mac n cheese was decent. Skip the skewers, they were very dry. As a company, I've loved Nando's for over a decade. As for my review here, I'm not sure how much of it if specified to this particular store rather than the company (rules/style) as a whole. Let me first stay off by saying their strongest asset is there customer service. The employees here are fast, accommodating, they greet you, and also make sure all tables, etc. are clean for you. I can tell everyone that works here, works together and in unison. The place is spacious, and everything is clean and organized. The place also feels less crowded (at night) compared to their other chains. As a vegetarian though, the food options could be better/expanded - maybe some plant based meat/tenders, etc. Also, I do wish the fries were well-done or crispier rather than soggy, but other than that it was fine. Now, I do remember the Nando's in Canada and also the UK were better overall a few years ago, but I'm not sure if that was for the time/location or it speaks more to the individual stores style and focus. Nonetheless, this Nando's is fine. Side note: The Merrifield location has better food quality but not as good customer service. read more

I just love Nando's. I've been to this location a few times now and this most recent time I came to use my coupon that I received from Yelp's Got Game. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two hostesses and asked if I were eating in or taking out. They then pointed me to the right area. I walked up and was greeted with a jovial cashier. She could not figure out how to enter the coupon in but did not question the accuracy of the coupon at all. An equally jovial manager came over to help. We chatted a bit about the different heat levels between garlic and medium. He told me his preference and I went with that. The person preparing the food even gave me extra perinaise sauce dip. This entire experience was just plain delightful and I imagine a world where this is the typical customer experience everywhere.   For logistics, parking is tough because of other businesses and local offices. There is a valet for that purpose. That said I've never had to use valet but I tend to drive around to find a spot. If you're patient, you'll find something. They also have parking in the back of the store. The décor of the restaurant is stylish and unique just like other Nandos' restaurants. They have a bench where you can sit and wait for your take out area. I like that because you don't feel too cramped or like you are in the way when waiting for your food. I think this is a feature that many restaurants forget to consider in their design plans. Great job to Nando's! I'll definitely be back. read more

They are so small ( I measured 1 inch - 1.5 inches) more than half of the box were tiny and burned, decrepit, dry or not cooked all the way.
