When I questioned this and explained that I didn't think this was a fair way to calculate the price, they told me that this was their company policy and that they always calculate it this way. I will never be coming back to this cava location, due to the fact that one of your female, hispanic, heavy set, employees that wear her hair in a bun that worked the evening shift on August 8th refused to give me extra sauce. She said that customers can only have up to 2, which is crazy to me because what is 2 sauces going to do for a big bowl?? Today, I was planning to order online for pickup from CAVA, but my family decided to dine in instead. We visited the CAVA located at 14337 Newbrook Dr Ste 500, Chantilly, VA 20151. We live in a nearby neighborhood and have ordered from this location many times before for pickup and takeout. Unfortunately, this visit made us feel very disappointed. The staff did not seem kind or welcoming, and the way they spoke to us felt rude. I asked to build my own bowl and requested falafel and vegetables. One staff member told me only one portion was allowed. I mentioned that when we order online, it does not usually show an extra charge for that, but he seemed upset and passed the order to another employee. The lady who continued making the bowl made us feel like we were asking for something for free. When I asked for just a little bit of dressing, she poured it all over the bowl. We came there to spend time as a family, enjoy healthy food, and have a good dining experience. Food should make people feel happy and comfortable, but this experience made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of this, we do not feel like visiting this location again. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides better customer service and a more respectful experience for customers. read more

I ordered a custom bowl through Uber Eats and the portions were extremely disappointing. The super greens and other toppings I selected were barely there, more like a sprinkle than a serving. They didn't include broccoli at all, and the eggplant dip was maybe a teaspoon at best. For the price, the amount of food was laughable. The two falafel I received? I'm not even sure you can call them falafel. They tasted nothing like what falafel should. Uber, of course, didn't even offer a partial refund for this order. Really disappointing experience. Beware if you are ordering food for delivery! Ordered three items for delivery, one of which was a salmon salad. The salmon salad had no salmon, so we called to tell them. Our order on my phone showed we ordered the salmon salad, but they only included rice and lettuce--but charged us full price --$20.00 for the salmon. Their receipt was wrong, and mine showed exactly what I ordered. The only option they offered was for us to drive up there to pick it up--during a rush-hour thunderstorm. They would not issue a refund, credit, or deliver the salmon. The guy on the phone said there was nothing they could do. This CAVA is located in a nice spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's relatively clean inside, just with sticky/messy tables because people don't always clean up after themselves. Some of the staff in the food service line were totally checked out and one of them was actually somewhat rude (they don't wear name tags so I don't know his name) . I visited this location in Virginia while in the area and did a takeout order. CAVA has plenty of options for whatever dietary restrictions one may have, which makes it a great option for many people, unless of course, you don't like Mediterranean food But there are many vegetarian options, as well as lots of items to choose from if you're following a low-carb, paleo or keto diet. For my bowl I had a salad mix with as many unlimited toppings as possible, with chicken and harissa for my sauce. It was tasty, filling and every time I have CAVA, I don't feel bloated, but satisfied. That's really how all meals should make you feel. This location has a lot of parking and is next to other restaurants and bars. For dining in, there was plenty of room inside to space out and for groups, and was very clean. Staff was also friendly. I've had this location on my "must visit" list and I finally made it here. The setup is a little interesting depending on how you enter the location, you'll have to walk from one end to the other. No biggie, you've made it this far. Surprisingly there was no line so I was able to walk right up and let my Mediterranean wants be heard. A grain bowl is my go to with white rice, lentils and most of the veggies and topping to chose from. I missed out in the warm pita on this visit which was twofold. I didn't ask and it wasn't offered. My bowl was tasty and ingredients boasted with freshness leaving me with no complaints about my meal. The drinks are always a hit for me. This visit I sipped on the Pineapple Apple Mint and you could taste every part of this juice. Juicy sweet pineapple, crispy apple and the refreshing recharge from the mint create this delectable delight. It was sooo good I had to go back for a refill, lol. It's lit in here, like literally. This is the third or fourth time i've tried this Cava. I like that they opened on in this area and it's easy to get too, being off 28. The restaurant is laid-out for quick and easy, ready made to order food to-go or dine in. I think the flow is really nice having people line up along right side of the wall, flowing through the toppings area and after check out drops you into the utensils and drink area. They also have a to-go pick up area by the west door which look convenient. I like their choices of ingredients here and the people that work the counter always seem to understand and are cheerful when you order and ask for toppings. This is awesome! The only critique I would have is the price. I would love to see a $10 FLAT fee for lunch specials for those that work in the local area. 1 bowl with a protein runs be $12 which is why I do not come out as a weekly rotating lunch. Other than that, the food is good and healthy. I always feel energized for work afterwards. It is filling in the sense that there is a lot of fiber and nutrients but not filling in the sense that I get bloated from it. I will def be back! read more
