I'm not wasting any time getting right to the point.... This food is 5 STARS!!! Everything from the overall seasoning, cooking methods, portions, freshness ... it is possibly the BEST food I've had since living in Reston and it's just a very small humble establishment that needs more publicity! I had the mixed kabob platter with the salmon kabob and chicken kabob and BAAAABBBYYY that salmon was EVERYTHING! So were the side of chickpeas that it came with .... Oh and the FRESH PITA BREAD .... like I need to know who is in the back cooking because I want to kiss them! The portions are also MASSIVE and I immediately asked for a to go box because I knew there was no way I could finish the food, so, I literally had 2 meals for the price of 1 which makes the pricing worth it. And the cashier is super sweet and brings your meal to your table too! I will absolutely be back because this place is truly GOLD!

Fresh and delicious - #5 Kobeeda & Chicken Kabob Platter

Grill kabob has locations in alot of mall food courts here in nova but this location stands out from the rest because its a brick and mortar location which has seating available and the food and extra items available here is just better above the rest. They have a stocked fridge of drinks including jarritos and mango lassi (weird right? Since they have afghan food but they do offer a mix of desi/middle eastern snacks like samosas and hummus. We always go for their chicken kabob and beef kobeedah platter which is enough to share amongst two people. It comes with two kinds of rice (white and seasoned), salad, side of your choice and freshly baked afghan bread. Their white sauce is crack and a must when eating with. I tried their mango lassi this time and it was pretty good. This is a clean location with friendly quick service and that's why this location is my fave amongst the other mall grill kabobs.

#3 Beef Kabob Platter

Great food, great service and ambience. I had the beef kabobs. They came with beans rices, salad and naan. Greatly enjoyed and plan to come back!

Food was delicious and the portions are quite large. Service was friendly and the wait was short. No issues on my first visit.

Sauces

I ordered the chicken platter, i've never had afghan food so i just went with the most recommended dish. The food was made fresh, it was hot and the flavors are amazing! Ordered a side of Naan and the bread was huge!! 10/10 delicious food, the lady at the front was very nice and polite, customer service was a 10/10! Definitely check them out

I've also had the chicken samosas, which were excellent and I would order in a heartbeat. I especially like this as a safe stop during travel. It's rarely too busy, the food is always good, and you can grab a drink if that's your thing. The mint lemonade is also good if you want an NA option.

I'm a local customer and live just a minute away, so I've visited more than once. I came in for lunch today with my wife and our 1.5-year-old son. After placing our order and sitting down, the server loudly yelled from behind the counter for us to come get our water. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially with a young child. When I placed my order, I asked for extra white sauce, and I asked again when the food came out. Both times, the request was ignored. I also mentioned that we hadn't received our drinks, but instead of addressing it, the server again yelled for us to get the drinks ourselves from the cooler. The food itself was okay, but the bread was very poor--hard and barely edible. I even called the restaurant later in the evening to share my concerns, but was told the server was off at that time. Overall, very disappointing experience, mainly due to the customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvement.

Whenever my husband and I come back from a road trip, we almost always order Reston Kabob. The food…read moreis consistently good and a generous portion, so much so that you can easily get 2-3 meals out of the salad. From my experience, I would recommend ordering in person because they lost our online order one time and, if you order online, you can't choose your own combinations of kabobs and/or proteins (I personally like ordering the falafel and gyros). Food Ordered: * worth trying - [Salad*]: I usually like to order the salad base. Out of the kabobs and proteins I've tried, I would recommend the beef kobeeda, falafel, and gyros proteins. I have also tried the veggie kabob, which isn't bad, but not as good as the aforementioned proteins, considering it's only grilled vegetables. I liked the flavor of the chickpeas but I prefer a more melt-in-your-mouth texture in my chickpeas like the ones at Charcoal Kabob. The chickpeas at Reston Kabob were a smidge gritty. Also, I have to highlight the sauces that come with the meal; both the green sauce and the white sauce have the perfect amount of acidity with the green sauce being bright and herbaceous and the white sauce being creamy and not too yogurt forward. My husband and I really like the white sauce here, so much so that we bought a bottle of it recently haha. - [Samosa*]: I don't think I've ever had a bad samosa and this tastes like your typical samosa. - [Baklava]: I tried the one with pistachios and the one with walnuts. Comparatively, I liked the one with walnuts more because the pistachios tasted a bit off to me and the pistachio flavor was a lot stronger versus the milder flavor of the walnuts. The only reason I'm hesitant to recommend it is because I thought it was soaked in too much syrup, making it a bit too sweet for my preference. As a heads up, each order of baklava comes with four small pieces. Would I go back?: Most definitely! Reston Kabob is a tried and true restaurant in my book and is in our rotation of restaurant options when we're in the mood for takeout.

I figured this could be a good thing if at least it means the food would be served hot. When the food finally arrived, I didn't have any issues while eating the food. I thought the overall flavor was decent. Within an hour or so, my cousin and I experienced an upset stomach and didn't feel well for at least 24 hours. I'm not sure if this was a one-off experience, but I would not go back to this restaurant because of this alone.

The little mini salad that comes with the meals had a really good dressing, and I enjoyed it. I didn't really like the chick peas. I prefer the ones at Charcoal Kabob in Herndon which are lot more spicier. These had a more tomato flavor to them which I've experienced at other kabob places. Also didn't care for the white yogurt sauce. It tasted and felt more like a salad dressing. The green sauce was really good, and I stuck with that for dipping. Service: fast casual. You go to the counter, order, pay, and they bring the food to your table. Ambiance: nice, new, and clean. Pretty generic. You could sub in any cuisine. I thought the prices were on par with any other kabob places, only most other places serve their meals with naan. Not here, but the portion sizes are big enough to fill you up. Overall, I'm happy I came and tried it out.

The portions are great and the food quality tastes good. I normally get the platter which comes with protein and two sides. I wish it allowed a combo kabob rather than one protein. If you do combo they hike the price up l, it's an additional $7-9. I think $25 is a bit excessive, but that's typically only if you do two types of protein instead of one. Food preparation normally is about 15-20mins. There's parking out front and plenty of indoor seating.

Wow! Pleasantly surprised how great this place was…read more Parking is a little tight & on a hill so be caution of that! Menu has a great selection of meats and kabobs to select from in addition to apps! I opt for the saffron chicken that pairs with saffron rice (can opt to have salad as well) and this was amazing!!! They were super busy when we arrived so it took about 10 minutes to check on us but were very apologetic. All good. The setting is very casual so not a romantic first date setting, but the food is delicious so if you want to impress via taste buds, then give it a try. Everything looked so good so we all tried different dishes for a wider experience. For starters we had tahdig, which I think is a must-try. I've wanted to try tahdig for awhile now and this hit my spot. For my meal, I had the pesto chicken kabobs, upgraded with shirin sweet polo rice, which was amazing on its own. One of my kids had the kadoo, which was also delicious. My wife had the bademjan, another winner. Also tried were the fesenjan, among other dishes. Again, everything was great.
