Best peruvian chicken that keeps me going back everytime I'm in VA. It's conveniently located in a shopping plaza so I always grab a bite in between stores. Chicken is moist and flavorful. It comes with 2 sauces the green one is spicy and the yellow one is creamy and mild. You can choose to get a quarter, half or whole chicken with or without sides. I usually always get Yucca fries and plantains. I just love the crunchy yucca and sweet plantains. Sometimes they change up the menu on other items...this last visit they started to offer burritos. The guys behind the counter are very fast and efficient. If you're hungry for good Peruvian rotisserie chicken, this is the place to go. I love this place, they feed you really well and their food is terrific. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, and delicious and you get two sides with a 1/4 chicken, with the portions being huge. My son, who has a big appetite loves coming here because he eats like he has a hollow leg and he actually gets full. You cannot go wrong with the chicken, at all. If you order any of the other dishes, it's usually a surprise to the workers and it takes some time. I ordered Pollo Saltado once, and it took almost 40 minutes to come out, and it was good, but tough to eat on a styrofoam plate, so I order that at some of my other favorite Peruvian places (Pollos Inti), but if I just want to take down a chicken, this is the place for me. The sides range from fries, yucca, plantains, white rice, fried rice, cole slaw, veggies, and beans- I love all of them. The sauces are great- if you're familiar with Peruvian chicken places, you'll like the green and yellow sauces. I only wish I could just have a bottle of the sauce when I'm eating in the restaurant because I use a lot of it. The Excuse was that he was a stress because the truck that supplies the food didn't come . I'm taking my time to leave this review for the way they treated me and my family. This location is pretty convenient with lots of parking space, right between Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. I placed a rather large online order and showed up on time to pick it up. Found out my order (all $68 worth) was picked up by someone else with my name, except spelled with a K. I stood around waiting about 5-6 minutes thinking my order was being remade. A confused employee approached me and told me I already picked up my order. I felt like I was almost accused of trying to get food for free. I clearly saw the receipt for the other person with my name and it was definitely not me. It took him a bit to understand that they were at fault for giving my order to the wrong person. So I had to wait another 15 or so minutes for my whole order to be remade and one of the sides was wrong too. Yikes. Not sure why this place has 3.5 stars...it is really good. Myself and my coworkers are becoming addicted to Super Chicken. I got the half chicken just this week for lunch and was blown away. The chicken is delicious, the plantains are excellent, and I cant get enough of the yuca fries. They also have great coleslaw that I scope up with a bit of chicken. The food comes with some bomb sauces that you can dip the plantains, yuca or chicken into. One sauce is lime green and the other is deeper green. What they are exactly, I don't know. Super Chicken lived up to its name! It caught my eye when doing a search for restaurants in the area. My husband, son, and I were visiting from out of town and looking for a place to eat for a quick, early lunch. Luckily this place opens at 10:30! We ordered our food at the counter and it was served up to us right away. We both got the grilled chicken. It was incredibly tender and flavorful! The sides were also very good. The sauces are in tiny cups and it is extra for more, but I portioned mine out just right for the meal. It is family friendly with high chairs and a changing table in the women's restroom. The food here was really good! We got a quesadilla and chicken wrap. The chicken is spicy and cooked to perfection. They have really good sauces to add on as well. In terms of sides, they all looked great but we got the plantains and yucca fries. They were both good but nothing special. Only thing, the atmosphere inside was a bit too loud for me, making conversations difficult. I've heard a lot about this and finally got to try it. It is definitely worth talking about and is SUPER! There are quite a few peruvian chicken restaurants, but it's hard to find a good one. I ordered my food for takeaway, but the restaurant layout does not seem comfortable for dining in. Some of the tables are located near the door, so cold/hot air can be disturbing when trying to enjoy the food. The customer service seems to be hit or miss. I ordered the ¼ Chicken White Meat, which came with two sides (white rice & plantains) for just under $10. The plantains cost an additional $0.75, but it was worth it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not overdone, although I didn't care much for the skin. They are very generous with the servings. The rice was nice and soft and not too salty; however, I did not like the lima beans. The plantains were fresh out of the fryer and oh-so delicious! I definitely want to try the Tres Leches cake, unfortunately they didn't have any when I was there. read more

We're always up for trying new pollo a la brasa places. So when Super Chicken opened up, we gave them time to get their act together, then gave them a try. We were here on a weeknight just before 5 p.m. and already the place was doing a brisk business. As others mentioned, it's cafeteria style. We approached the counter where a man asked us for our order. Both of us got 1/4 white meat chicken. Once you order, the man cuts up the chicken and places it on a styrofoam plate. After that, he passes it to another employee who asked what 2 sides you want. We both chose platanos and fried rice (aka chaufa rice). At that point, your order moves down the line to the cashier who takes your drink order. We both had a can of Inka Kola. When busy, things can get backed up so there is a bit of a wait until your order gets rung up. If you order something other than chicken, you are given a number for your table and your food is brought to you when it is ready. We then chose a table and there aren't very many tables inside. In good weather, there is outdoor seating, also. The portion sizes of the side dishes were huge! We figure that as time goes on, they will realize that it isn't profitable to do that and in time, the portion sizes will be more reasonable. The platanos were amazing---so much so that we both attacked them first. They were soft with the right touch of sweetness and a bit of char that was on them elevated the flavor even more. The fried rice was good if a bit dried out. However, that is expected as the food sits in warming trays. Our feeling was that if it was freshly made, it would have been awesome. While the chicken had great flavor, parts of it were dry, which often tends to happen with white meat pieces. Still, it wasn't so dry as to have you gagging. In fact, we didn't use either the green or the yellow sauces at all. The prices are very reasonable. If I recall correctly, our entire order was just under $20, making Super Chicken a good place to go for a cheap and filling meal. We would definitely return again! read more
