Best peruvian chicken that keeps me going back everytime I'm in VA. It's conveniently located in a shopping plaza so I always grab a bite in between stores. Chicken is moist and flavorful. It comes with 2 sauces the green one is spicy and the yellow one is creamy and mild. You can choose to get a quarter, half or whole chicken with or without sides. I usually always get Yucca fries and plantains. I just love the crunchy yucca and sweet plantains. Sometimes they change up the menu on other items...this last visit they started to offer burritos. The guys behind the counter are very fast and efficient. You can either sit inside or outside. It can get pretty crowded during peak lunch hours. We've always been able to find a seat though, as people eat and leave. And I avoid peak times. Lots of to go orders as well. read more

One person in our group mentioned that the chicken felt a little heavy on his stomach, but that may have been from the spices. If you're hungry for good Peruvian rotisserie chicken, this is the place to go. I love this place, they feed you really well and their food is terrific. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, and delicious and you get two sides with a 1/4 chicken, with the portions being huge. My son, who has a big appetite loves coming here because he eats like he has a hollow leg and he actually gets full. You cannot go wrong with the chicken, at all. If you order any of the other dishes, it's usually a surprise to the workers and it takes some time. I ordered Pollo Saltado once, and it took almost 40 minutes to come out, and it was good, but tough to eat on a styrofoam plate, so I order that at some of my other favorite Peruvian places (Pollos Inti), but if I just want to take down a chicken, this is the place for me. The sides range from fries, yucca, plantains, white rice, fried rice, cole slaw, veggies, and beans- I love all of them. The sauces are great- if you're familiar with Peruvian chicken places, you'll like the green and yellow sauces. I only wish I could just have a bottle of the sauce when I'm eating in the restaurant because I use a lot of it. Once in a while you have a language barrier issue, especially if you're not ordering chicken, but someone usually helps you out, either another employee or customer. We were visiting Fairfax Kitchen and Bath in the same strip mall for our bathroom remodeling. After spending some time in the showroom and picking materials, me and my wife got a little tired and hungry, so we decided to take a break and try Super Chicken. We really loved the food. The chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. You can really taste it's made on charcoal, which makes a big difference. It was a nice surprise and exactly what we needed during a busy day. I called ahead to order the Lomo Saltado as it takes a while to make. When I got to the restaurant i still need to wait for my food. No problem I was glad to wait as this is my favorite dish. I asked him for the #2 whole chicken 4 sizes. my husband was waiting with my little one . He started making my order when I said fries he told me he had no fries so I said oh no we need fries I said no thank you I went to ask my husband and when I was walking to the table that my husband was sitting the MANAGER told me (entonces vete ) OK so GO in Spanish When I react, I asked my 13-year-old son. He told me to go? And my mom say yes he told you that and I ask why you told me that we always came here . And I just get a aggressive reaction from them.so I walk out to the store with my family and then I came back to get the manager name and he was aggressive yelling Tell me the I was lying and then the whole group was defending him crazy nobody no wants to give me the manager's name the lady in from the cashier tell him to go to the back. The Excuse was that he was a stress because the truck that supplies the food didn't come . I'm taking my time to leave this review for the way they treated me and my family. I give a lot of chances to this place always we have to find HAIR IN the chicken or in the fries rice. Even when I asked the fried rice without hair sometimes they replace my plate and I still get hair . but this aggressive reaction is unacceptable for the manager and the group I wish the real manager or the boss to see the video. read more

Portion not so generous for over $14 meal Cole slaw - tasty, so coming back for more! Plantain - good good! Will be ordering more! Pasta salad - meh, it was okay. Fries - not crunchy not hot, not ordering it again! I'd recommend numbering the menu or have a paper menu available for customers. Menu on the tv screens keeps changing between menu and pictures of foods. Super Chicken truly is super! The chicken is juicy, and the sauces are yummy! The green sauce definitely has a kick to it, but the yellow sauce is flavorful for those that cannot handle the spice. For sides, we always go with the white rice and black beans, which you can't go wrong with. They are basic, but I mean that in a good way. There is not much seating at Super Chicken, so I do recommend this place for take-out. You just cannot replicate this chicken at home. You get plenty of food here for a reasonable price. read more

This location is pretty convenient with lots of parking space, right between Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. I placed a rather large online order and showed up on time to pick it up. Found out my order (all $68 worth) was picked up by someone else with my name, except spelled with a K. I stood around waiting about 5-6 minutes thinking my order was being remade. A confused employee approached me and told me I already picked up my order. I felt like I was almost accused of trying to get food for free. I clearly saw the receipt for the other person with my name and it was definitely not me. It took him a bit to understand that they were at fault for giving my order to the wrong person. So I had to wait another 15 or so minutes for my whole order to be remade and one of the sides was wrong too. Yikes. Other than the terrible service (check people's receipts on their phones before you give them their online orders), the food itself did taste good. read more

Not sure why this place has 3.5 stars...it is really good. Myself and my coworkers are becoming addicted to Super Chicken. I got the half chicken just this week for lunch and was blown away. The chicken is delicious, the plantains are excellent, and I cant get enough of the yuca fries. They also have great coleslaw that I scope up with a bit of chicken. The food comes with some bomb sauces that you can dip the plantains, yuca or chicken into. One sauce is lime green and the other is deeper green. What they are exactly, I don't know. Food is great! Smells delicious as soon as you walk in! I love this place because it's the most similar flavor to the charcoal/rotisserie chicken I grow up eating in Puerto Rico. Only bad thing I should say is... I asked if the seasoning on the chicken had any dairy (butter) or eggs due to allergies and they just said that it's a secret recipe and if someone have allergies they don't recommend to eat it. Our local Peruvian carry-out shut down during this pandemic. We drove out of our way since there are so many around, but it was in Ashburn, local and we wanted to support it. We visited a small strip mall in Sterling opposite Dulles Mall and came across Super Chicken and given the line inside and outside, we knew it had to have great chicken. We ordered the quarter chicken and plantains. Back home we ate rally quickly and it was delicious. Fast moving line with a number of items to pick along with various sides. Hector, the manager was phenomenal, very kind and professional. I ordered meals for our team, and the food was fresh and very delicious. Super Chicken lived up to its name! It caught my eye when doing a search for restaurants in the area. My husband, son, and I were visiting from out of town and looking for a place to eat for a quick, early lunch. Luckily this place opens at 10:30! We ordered our food at the counter and it was served up to us right away. We both got the grilled chicken. It was incredibly tender and flavorful! The sides were also very good. The sauces are in tiny cups and it is extra for more, but I portioned mine out just right for the meal. It is family friendly with high chairs and a changing table in the women's restroom. The food here was really good! We got a quesadilla and chicken wrap. The chicken is spicy and cooked to perfection. They have really good sauces to add on as well. In terms of sides, they all looked great but we got the plantains and yucca fries. They were both good but nothing special. Only thing, the atmosphere inside was a bit too loud for me, making conversations difficult. You can not go wrong here with that. Also try the 1/4 or 1/2 chicken. So flavorful and delicious. This time we made an order online and accidentally ordered it for the folks at work for the Super Chicken in Reston. When we came in we thought our lunch was ruined but after explaining it to Hector, he said "don't worry, we are the same owner and I've got you, it will just take a bit longer" What amazing customer service. Just another reason we keep coming back as a company to eat here quite regularly. Get here early for lunch because it gets busy. Plenty of seating, but the line shows how amazing this food is. I've heard a lot about this and finally got to try it. It is definitely worth talking about and is SUPER! There are quite a few peruvian chicken restaurants, but it's hard to find a good one. I ordered my food for takeaway, but the restaurant layout does not seem comfortable for dining in. Some of the tables are located near the door, so cold/hot air can be disturbing when trying to enjoy the food. The customer service seems to be hit or miss. I ordered the ¼ Chicken White Meat, which came with two sides (white rice & plantains) for just under $10. The plantains cost an additional $0.75, but it was worth it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not overdone, although I didn't care much for the skin. They are very generous with the servings. The rice was nice and soft and not too salty; however, I did not like the lima beans. The plantains were fresh out of the fryer and oh-so delicious! I definitely want to try the Tres Leches cake, unfortunately they didn't have any when I was there. read more

Husbae had the chicken bowl which I had a bite of and it was very good.
