I have been meaning to try this place since it opened. I am very glad I did. This place has one of the best chicken sandwiches around. I feel it rivals Hangry Joe's. We ordered the Honey Butter and Honey Garlic chicken sandwich. Both taste similar as one has a hint of garlic and the other doesn't. The chicken is the perfect texture, a bit crispy and very tender. They stack two patties per sandwich. The sweetness of the honey butter sauce pairs great. Finally, their garlic sauce is the item that takes it to another level. I finished the ramekin of garlic sauce and could have used a bit more. The one flaw is the butter sauce sort of leaks to the bottom and gets the bun a bit wet so you want to eat this thing as fresh as possible. I highly recommend this place. The large spicy rice was plentiful, as well as, the container of coleslaw. +The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was put together well and presented a lot of flavors similar to what one would seek in a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. -One of the food line workers in the back did not wear a mask or food safety gloves and was biting his nails while manning the grill with a tong, flipping the chicken and touching (who knows what) other foods in the back. -Another older gentleman, observing the food line, had gloves on both hands but dug one of his fingers into his ears and kept readjusting his mask with his other hand/fingers. -None of the female workers in the back were wearing hairnets and they had really long hair. -The coleslaw was basically a big tub of mayo and diced cabbage. -The spicy rice tasted like biryani, which was unexpected from a South African/Portuguese restaurant. -The tenders were overcooked and dry. -It looks like the chicken is pressure cooked; and then, placed on the flat top grill to give it a char. I did not see any evidence of flame-grilling. After the pressure cooker, they throw the chicken into a metal bin drawer to keep the chicken warm? -No loyalty rewards app or mobile ordering. We had Peri peri original before but this newly opened Ashburn location is just too good! We already been there three times and all the times our experience was amazing! We usually get the whole chicken, wings and rice but yesterday we got their burger too and wow what a burger it was! It was bursting full of flavours! So juicy and so flavorful! What makes this place more amazing is their friendly and polite service. The brother in the front is very nice and always takes care. Plus the place is neat and clean and bathroom is clean too. We have some food allergies in our household and the staff was very patient answering our questions and making sure we knew exactly what we could and couldn't have.
