This is my favorite Afghan restaurant in the area. My favorite is their hummus. I always get the combo of chicken and beef kubideh and switch out the sides between the chickpeas, potato, and spinach. This is the one place that doesn't overcook their chicken or kubideh. They are come out tender. The sauce for the sides are the same, but I always have to save some pita to soak up that sauce. I always get take out but the service is always top notch. I go on off meal times, but they are always apologizing for taking too long, because the grill has to be warmed up. Excellent food and a great variety too! Chutney and yogurt sauce made fresh daily. We recently decided to go there 15 friends celebrating a bday and they were attentive and did a great job. I'm not particularly fond of their chicken as it has a very distinct taste of spice that is a bit overwhelming. The lamb was decent and overall the meal was good. Very disappointing experience. During my visit, the food did not seem freshly prepared and the rice tasted reheated. Cleanliness was a serious concern. Wallah, I personally saw a cockroach and felt completely disgusted. This is a serious food safety issue, especially in a restaurant. Service was also poor, the owner was rude and impatient, which creates an environment where customers feel uncomfortable speaking up in person, let alone raising concerns about sanitation! Instead of arguing with customers in the reviews or offering refunds after the fact, the focus should be on properly sanitizing the restaurant, especially the kitchen. Reviews exist so others are informed, not because customers are afraid to speak directly or because they want a refund. Based on my experience, the high rating does not reflect the reality of this place. It's mainly family and friends leaving the reviews, that's how it is with Afghan owned restaurants. London Kabob was on my list of places to try, ordered the Lamb platter....it was not the typical Gyro planter I have been used to. It was much better, and unexpected, from the bottom up. This is my favorite kabob place in the area! A few coworkers and I order from here almost every week. I love the chicken kabob platter that comes with rice, salad, naan, and one side item of either chickpeas, spinach, or potatoes. The flavors and spices are very tasty and you can tell all of the ingredients are super fresh. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. We love the white sauce and the staff is always kind enough to give us extra if we ask. Sometimes I'll even purchase a small tub of it to take home and save, that's how much I love it! Phenomenal service, excellent food! Looked up Loudoun Kabob while on our way to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised by this place! The establishment is clean and organized and the food is easy to order. We ordered chicken shawarma and a lamb kabob, with extra naan bread on the side. I was a a bit disappointed that there were no other drinks than water and bottled soda (I was expecting mint tea) but the food really made up for it! We waited for our order for about 5-10 minutes, but when it came out we were soo excited! The food was well cooked and thoroughly seasoned. We even got extra naan bread for the road! This place has gone down hill since my last visit. The meat is still cooked well but sadly everything else is terrible. When I called in, to place my order for a chicken kebob platter and combi lamb and chicken platter I had asked for their brown spicy rice, but what I received was white rice, their portions for sides have become smaller too, for chickpeas and potatoes. The salad in both platters was inedible all yellow iceberg lettuce and old I literally just threw it out. I don't think I will be getting carry out from this place anytime soon. read more

A combo with one type of meat, rice, salad, one side, and naan are just $14 and under. I have never tried Afghan food before but I have eaten Indian food before. The dishes were very similar to what I have eaten. You get chuney, a vegetable curry dish and rice with naan bread as a combo for every time I have Indian food. Loudoun Kabob does the same but with their own favor. The taste of food seems familiar but you also taste the unique in their cooking. MOST important thing, they made things fresh for you. I don't know they will do that when things get busy in their shop but I saw they make fresh naan the traditional way. That speaks for their standard really well. We can help this local place flourish and have them to keep their passion for every plate to be as fresh as they can make. The owner will work on the front bar into a grill bar as it's supposed to. We came here for late lunch and it was the 2nd day of grand opening, so they are offering a buffet for the first 4 days. The place is located right next to this Thai restaurant in the shopping center. The decorations is modern Afghan and there is a big screen TV. The food was very delicious and authentic tasting. In the buffet they had white rice, qabuli rice, eggplant quroma, beef curry, chicken curry, chicken kabob, naan, salad and pudding for dessert. The kabobs were very tender and flavorful. Gentleman at the counter felt bad and offered an extra side (potatoes). #1 chicken platter - melt in your mouth chicken (literally!), brown rice had a slight sweetness in taste (topped with shredded carrots and raisins).
