Busy little spot however, the restaurant was being cleaned behind every customer and upon request should you be waitingfor a table. This was very comforting. I dined on the Jalea con Mariscos and it was very good. I was full from the great portion size but it was so good that I had to stop myself from trying to finish it all. If you like sauce like me, you may want to order a side of the sauce before getting out of the line. You'll need a code for the restroom. The restroom was very clean and smelled good. One of the best Peruvan Chicken spots around the DMV! Don Pollo is "Peruvian Chicken Done Right"...in my book. Hot, flavorful moist and seasoned to the bone!....all done over an open spit-fire rotisserie and charcoal. It is one of my favorites places for really good Peruvian Chicken and all the sides are great as well...with the chicken fried rice and plantains being my "go to!" But, if these sides are not to your liking....there are plenty of additional sides to choose from such as green beans, mashed potatoes, salad, black beans & rice, potato salad, cucumber salad and coleslaw. All of them are just as good. I also am a huge fan of their lomo saltado is incredible. Super tender, seasoned juicy steak sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and spices....the topped over hot crispy frits (fries)! This dish is....EVVEEERYTHANG!! The vibe of the place is casual and both inside dining and takeout is available. You simply order your food, sit at your table and when the foods ready....your order is called for pickup at the counter. This place was pretty good and really packed upon arrival. Food came out in a good time and good amount of seating available. The chicken was good but kind of dry and the rice and beans were pretty flavorful and cooked nicely. I was shocked that they had chicharrón de pollo as a Dominican woman whose culture also specializes in that had to give it a try, well it definitely wasn't like the one we have but instead chicken tenders just fried up none the less still good and what made it better was that onion and tomato slaw on top. It gave it this refreshing yet vinegar punch it was so good we got some to go, with that being said they charge 3 dollars for a small size portion the size of my 5 year olds hand. The yuca fries were cooked all differently some were fried to perfection some were fried and tasted as if they sat out too long and then others were fried not long enough and tasted raw. Cashier was nice but the lady calling out the numbers and orders wasn't so friendly it's really all over the place when coming to this establishment hopefully as a team they can work together and prices for certain items don't continue to overly priced. read more

I had been to this spot and really enjoyed my meal, so the following Friday I returned. It was approximately 9:25 and the doors we're open and customers were eating inside. I got to counter to order and the man at the register said they were closed. I asked him why are they closed when the time on the door says that they don't close until 10:00pm and also the previous weekend I came in at 9:45 and was served. He had no explanation but to tell me his work schedule has him marked to get off at 9:00. I went on and left, then they locked the door. Place just opened. The rotisserie needs to be seasoned (happens over time), and the chicken was a bit dry. Sides, I got Mac and cheese (watery) and mashed potatoes (not seasoned and they don't have gravy). Just need to work out the kinks. Place was as clean as it could be because they aren't finished with the remodel. Noodles and Company used to be here. 4 stars for the effort. This place has potential. When I asked for beans and rice I get three scoops of rice and one scoop of beans so I asked for more beans and got ignored.
