I absolutely love Nandos. Haven't had it since my trip to the UK and was pleasantly reminded of just how great it was. I loved my butterfly boneless chicken breast, I went with medium heat and a side of fries. There aren't many times where the side is just as good as the main meal, but the peri peri chips are just that good. The service here is great as they have table markers so your food is quickly brought to you. The atmosphere of this restaurant is nothing to belittle as well as it feel like a nice getaway from the crowded mall just outside the door. read more

This location is very nice, the dining room is beautifully decorated, the place is clean and I love the music. The peri peri chicken is absolutely delicious, I got the extra hot, and the rainbow bowl. I got the sweet potatoes side which is cubes with delicious sauce and toppings. We ordered a few bites from Nando's through Grubhub. For our order, we went with a 1/2 chicken, Portuguese rice, Brussel sprouts, and macho peas. I thought the cost of our meal was pretty reasonable relative to other similiar restaurants in the area (our order's subtotal was about $29). Unfortunately, I do not think we receive what we ordered. Like I mentioned above, we ordered a 1/2 chicken; however, two boneless chicken breasts arrived. I don't know if the restaurant ran out of half chickens and gave us two breast as a way to make up for it. That said, I do understand that these things sometimes happen; however, I think the restaurant should have called to let me know. I did try to call the restaurant after receiving the order, but they were closed . . . or no one didn't bother to pick up the phone. Overall, the food was was decent. While the mango lime seasoning/marinade gave the chicken a nice tangy taste, I thought chicken was extremely dry. Perhaps, the chicken would have been better had I ordered earlier in the day. I loved this location pre-pandemic, and while it has improved somewhat, the service level never quite rebounded. I'm glad to have real silverware, ability to order with a human instead of an app, and some good servers, depending on the day. They have not achieved the level of consistency or enthusiastic service they had pre-COVID. Food quality is somewhat inconsistent, including occasional wrong orders on takeout. I wanted to walk out and leave when the kitchen staff were blasting their personal tunes at full volume while also playing the regular restaurant soundtrack. I could barely hear the server over the cacophony. I guess that's what happens when it is virtually empty in person. We still bring the family on occasion, but it is just an OK in person experience, where it used to be great. read more

These are my favorites from my last visit: Portobello Mushroom and Halloumi wrap. $10.69. Side of Red Skin Mashed Potatoes. Garlic bread made with Portuguese roll. Plus, it is really nice dining in here. The staff are super helpful when ordering. I love the Halloumi sandwich so much. It is nice to have a vegetarian option at a mostly chicken saturated menu place. I don't usually make Westfield Wheaton a dining destination, but for Nando's I will. read more

TBH, I've only had mediocre experiences at Nando's Peri-Peri restaurants in the DMV. But this location in Wheaton, MD has changed my opinion regarding this global fast casual chain. I was in the area visiting family and after shopping at the Costco also located in this same Wheaton mall, we decided to grab lunch at the Nando's. The décor of this particular location is very open and inviting. There is a patio style seating area which opens out into the mall, and a large dining room with soft lighting, comfy booth seating, and hardwood wall accents. We ordered a whole chicken meal (spicy) and opted for the rice and coleslaw for the sides. Previously when I dined at the Nando's in DC and in Springfield (VA), I found the chicken portion sizes to be on the smaller side. Those other locations need to consult with the chefs at this Wheaton location, because the serving sizes were plentiful for three hungry adults. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and even I, as a connoisseur of spicy food found the glaze to "bring the heat". A bit too much mayo on the coleslaw - which is fine since the crunch of the cabbage gave some fresh relief from the heat of the chicken, and the rice was nice and fluffy without being mushy. Also nice touch by providing a glass water bottle for the table and having a self service sauce bar so we could load up on extra spicy sauce and the excellent garlic flavor as well. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely dine here again the next time we're in the area. Excellent service! Kudos!!! I stopped by to grab lunch earlier today. I had placed a mobile order on the app and upon arriving I was greeted right away. My food was ready as well. My go to here is usually 1/4 chicken with two sides. I usually go for the mashed potatoes and rice. Today I did double mash with my chicken. Yes I was being a bit greedy! I didn't see a place to request extra sauces when placing my order on the app but I asked for some when I arrived and it wasn't any issue to get that! Trust me, some places are stingy with their sauces! I forgot how big this location is, considering it is inside a mall! Didn't seem like dine in is available as yet! Sad that today is not the day to see, if it lived up to the hype. . Instead, I ate the chicken that's has NEVER failed me in taste or availability, we had 1/2 Chicken the way we like it...Extra-Spicy‼‼ The Food Court at Wheaton Plaza Mall is one of the smaller food courts around, we tend to enjoy the full-stand alone restaurants the Mall has to offer, like Nando's. We love their chicken, the sauce, and desserts. And their "bowls" rice, vegetables and a protein, if you are into that type of thing, are phenomenal as well. I love Nando's. This is a review for eating in on a very slow, un-crowded Friday night: I came here with some friends, all of us somewhat slow eaters. We shared several sides and main dishes. The food was excellent, and at the beginning service was great too. But then the staff kept asking "is everything ok" every 2 minutes for over an hour, requiring verbal affirmation, and being pushy about taking away unfinished plates of food, etc. I suspect they were being told to do so by management because it was a rotating set of 2-3 young bussers all "checking in" with alarming regularity and had to be told verbally not to take things away or that they could leave. It felt like they wanted us out even though the restaurant was never more than 1/2 full. There's a difference between being "attentive" and being overbearing. read more

Went to this location for the first time for dinner. It was good! The food game out really quickly and it was delicious! I got the chicken skewers and the squash and corn (a fall menu item). They brought my food to the table and checked on me often. I even had a manager come check on me, which I always think is nice. I really appreciated when they opened Nando's in Wheaton mall. I love love LOVE the red wine sangria. Since I was getting my cell phone serviced at the fix ( which is located right next to Nando's) hubby and I decided to grab a simple bite to eat at Nando's. We ordered a pitcher of red wine sangria, 6 piece appetizer wings ( I got the plainish flavor) and the chips aka french fries. It all was around $32 dollars ( rounded to get an whole number). Food and flavor is always spectacular no matter what you get off the menu. The service is great and the energy is always nice. I really enjoy there music selections. Of all the nandos locations that I've been to, this location in the Westfield mall has to be my favorite. After being to one nandos they all look alike but what sets this one apart is the service. The people here at this location are gold! I came here on Monday and ate lunch quietly in the back. I was impressed by the service and seeing that we dont have nandos in NY, I was really trying to max out on my nandos fix before heading out to NY. The food was sooo yummy, I'm back here and its Wednesday!!! First meal -The chicken is always seasoned very well and grilled to perfection on their burners. Their chips are regular french fries with some seasoning. I usually dip my fries in perinaise sauce. Try it, you'll thank me later! I ordered the coleslaw to have something 'green' on my plate. This isn't to discredit their coleslaw, its equally tasty!! Second meal - i ordered the chicken breast sandwich with rice and garlic bread! Talk about carb overload. I had a rough day in the office and carbs make me happy! When i tell you that this hit the spot... this is exactly what i needed to pick me up! Nandos is my fave restaurant in the DMV. I've never really been impressed with Nando's chicken, usually because it's dry and overcooked. But, I thought I'd keep an open mind and ordered the quarter dark w/ fries and a mighty thigh sandwich. Was pleasantly surprised that the chicken was pretty moist and flavorful. Both were on the small size and I noticed that prices recently increased again. Their sauces are pretty good, but really can't tell the difference between them since the spice level doesn't seem to change much. I've eaten at several Nando's before (many times!), but hadn't yet been to the one in Wheaton. Great experience! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the ambience was enjoyable. My parents hadn't been to a Nando's before, and the manager was very patient with them, telling them about the menu and providing them a quick coupon on their next visit. I ordered the chicken wrap, my parents opted for the 1/4 and 1/2 chicken. The food was great - freshly cooked fries, tasty chicken, fun variety of sauces. My 'rents liked trying all the sauces, and even got the staff to bring out some mango lime from the kitchen. They were super happy. We got there kind of early, so it wasn't very busy. The only thing I might suggest is not to seat all the people in a big restaurant clumped together when there's plenty of space. read more

Huge location at the Westfield Wheaton. The condiments area was a mess and had only a few sauce bottles (extra hot and lemon). I took a leap of faith and went with the extra hot but it was far too spicy. Every time I go to Nando's I overhear a customer being confused about the setup. Is it fast casual? Is there a server? Do I bus dishes myself? Do I leave tip? Two guests near me grabbed menus and sat down, waiting and waiting. Eventually they asked a staff member about a server, and she told them that they have to order up front. There was no wait. There was also no greeter, just a cashier (Ana Banana) who was upbeat, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the butterflied chicken breast, which only today I learned is different from the boneless chicken breast (which has the word "butterflied" in its description). It nonetheless tasted excellent--cooked perfectly (not overdone, dry, or undercooked). I ordered mashed potatoes as well. I also ordered the hummus appetizer, which is an enormous portion size (imagine one of those Sabra hummus containers you buy from the store--almost that much hummus), plus pita chips, carrots, and red peppers. The only thumbs down part is the BBD (which I assume is the "Best Buy Date") of the little sauce bottle that accompanies the hummus was a week ago (see photo). It still tasted amazing! The music as always was lovely and cheerful. The decor was unique, stylish, eye-catching, and a visual tour de force. Overall, probably one of the tastiest and healthiest options in the mall. Booths are covered in crumbs, tables are sticky, and overall the restaurant is not the cleanest. However the hot chicken wings are good and flavorful. Thing to know: - someone will help you pick your seat before you order at the counter - you pick your sauce, but there will be extra sauce bottles to bring to your table (Lemon & Herb is by far my favorite!!) - they have a pineapple dole ice cream machine which I think they only have in Disney World and Nando's?? (ps mix this with a vanilla soda and make a dope float) - this location has juicier chicken and bastes their chicken very well - not really a need to know, but Nando's is the largest private collector of South African art - also not really a need to know, but Nando's sells the seeds to their peri-peri peppers to farmers in South Africa, repurchases the peppers at a fair price, and in doing this, supports the community and has been able to provide better education and steady incomes to farmers and families in South Africa All in all, I love dining here because I know I'm support a good cause and a company that has good values, and on top of all of this, they have juicy af chicken. My wife and I ordered carry out for lunch here. I had a half chicken with lemon and herb seasoning, a side of mashed potatoes and the spicy olives. I did not get a picture of anything because it was so good I ate it before I even stopped to think about it. The chicken was tender and juicy, clearly well marinated. The mashed potatoes were a perfect consistency with a tasty seasoning and the olives were fantastic. The food was ready on time and packaged well, so the service we experienced was great. Every Nando's I go to never disappoints. Located inside the mall on the Costco side next door to panda essentially. The consistency is always there. The grilled charred chicken is always juicy and delicious. I think it's always worth to get french fries and mashed potatoes. I think they are the best choices. I wanted to try something new so I got the garlic bread. It makes a good sandwich but it's not the best garlic bread. Im a sauce guy so I love getting all the sauces they have here. Located inside the Westfield Wheaton Mall. Right next to Panda Express and Costco. The ordering process is very straight forward. You order at the front desk and afterwards are given a number that you will put on top of your table. You can choose your own seating table. They have tons of dipping sauces that you can use. Highly recommended their Lemon herb sauce. In terms of food items to order, all chickens are good. Be sure to order their mashed potatoes which is flavorful. Their fries are pretty good too. In terms of customer service, the staff here are very friendly and willing to answer your questions. In terms of pricing, it's very consistent with all other Nando's locations. read more

This is an order at the counter place but the taste is real restaurant, not fast food. The counter people were as nice and helpful as can be. There are multitudes of sauces to take to your table to use. The marinated chicken is delicious and my full ear of roasted corn on the cob was excellent. Other diners had the fried with their meals and the fries were excellent as well. We asked for a taste of the mango sauce and received a bowl full of this yummy citrusy sauce at no additional charge. I have to say... I'm a fan of Nando's Peri Peri. I usually opt for the chicken with two sides and get it medium spice. The mashed potatoes are good The coleslaw is terrible... but I forget every time and order it. This one was particularly bad though. I like tasted it... and was like... maybe I save it and doctor it. But I took it out of the fridge the next day and I smelt it and threw it away. Outside of that, the chicken quality is good, it's usually well cooked and the sauce is quite delicious. I love how they have the sauces by the coke machines so you can get some extra sauce for dippin'. Almost all Nando's I've been to have the new age touch screen coke machines... which are nice and all... but they don't prevent me from going with my regular old diet coke hahha. Even though there's like 1 million options. This Nando's in the Wheaton Mall is particularly nice. I think it opened not too long ago. First of all, it's huge. TONS of seating. I don't think they could ever fill that much seating in a mall. Like... if you needed to feed a large group of people or do a xmas party.... this would actually be a legit space. You would easily seat 100 in that restaurant.They have that little faux mall patio... but it's really well done if you don't mind that you're not actually outside. I need to branch out and try some of the other dishes, but the chicken is so freakin' good and It's like one of those things... I'm indulging but I don't feel that bad about it. I mean... unless they make that medium sauce with like butter, lard, and salt... I feel like it's a pretty healthy meal. Would definitely recommend. Just avoid the slaw. read more

Best fries I've ever tasted in my life. I love their Peri-Peri chicken bowl - healthy enough to not feel guilty, but still filling. I order routinely from this Nando's via UberEats or DoorDash. Always a great selection of sauces, and this Nando's is in a prima location near other restaurants and retail at Pike and Rose. Great ambiance in this neighborhood. I always enjoy eating here and taking a stroll down Pike and Rose to see what else is going on. Pike and Rose is always opening up new restaurants and retail and continues to expand, so worth an in-person visit to this location. Parking is free for the first 2 hours, and there's plenty of garage parking. Definitely recommend giving this one a try. read more

The food is the bomb.com! Seasoned soo well!! I ate so much chicken, fries, rice, sangria, and cake! Yum!!! My fiancé and I order the 1/2 chicken with two sides (fries and rice) to share! Chicken portions were HUGE and it was more than enough for us! The sides were delicious but I wish it would have came with just a little more since it seemed like the portions were just a little small for all the chicken on the plate. We ended up ordering extra fries. The sangria was sweat and was very mild on alcohol so nice light drink. I ordered carrot cake for desert which was also huge! Crazy to think I hadn't been to a Nando's before but it's true. Came here with my brother and had an AMAZING experience primarily courtesy of the wonderful woman that helped us-- Diana, she was above and beyond anything I expected. we didn't know our way around ordering and she was super helpful with great recommendations and helped us navigate the menu. So I'm with my lady and we finna go get some lunch and we decide to hit up Nandos. We roll up to the spot and is greeted by a nice lady who asked if we was gon dine in or carry out; we decided to dine in. So she handed us menus and a chicken on a stick with a number written on it to indicate where I sit. Now at this point we ready to order, but when we look to go sit at our designated table, someone was sitting there already. It was all good as we was told to sit at another one after, but I think that process just needs some improvement. Now the food was jah good nah mean, it was flavorful as can be. I had the chicken breast wrap with coleslaw and the peas, and she got a chicken pita with fries and rice. Overall, the food was good, but a little pricey considering portion size I guess. If Honey Nut Cheerios were to start a restaurant, it'd look like the inside of this place. I was given a number and told to sit at the table that corresponded with the number I was given. I ordered the plainish 1/4 chicken breast and had a side of butternut squash and corn. After a little while, the food arrived. Too bad it was the wrong order. After the mixup was resolved, we got our correct orders and I received burnt chicken. For a place that specializes in chicken, I expected better. The squash and corn side dish was delicious. The bits of caramelized onions and cranberries complemented the corn and butternut squash well. Probably won't want to go to this Nando's Peri Peri location again.
