    Vegetable n tofu pho
    Rachel S.

Came here for the first time for lunch on a weekend with a small group of people. I ordered the pho with vegetables and tofu. Total came out to approximately $15 (not including tip). What's Hot - Menu. There appears to be something for everyone- meats, veggies, and possibly even vegans. (I don't recall whether they provide vegetable broth.) There are appetizers, Vietnamese sandiwhces, bun (vermicelli noodles not in broth), rice dishes, and some drinks. I was disappointed they don't have a vegetarian bun, though. All their bun dishes had meat. - Portions. There are 2 bowl sizes available. - Price. That I could get a meal for less than $20 for myself is pretty good. To be fair, I did not order an appetizer. - Service. Pretty good. My group was 5 people and our orders were ready within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, we asked the staff to split our check, so that we each paid for ourselves. They were able to do so fairly well. - Layout. There are tables and chair for small groups, including booths. Appears to accommodate individuals and groups of reasonable sizes. - Parking. There is a small parking lot for the plaza, which is a decent size. What's Not - Quality. Not bad, but I've had better. My veggie pho included tofu, cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. No bak choy or any other type of vegetable (Asian or otherwise). It was helpful to add the sliced raw jalapenos and bean sprouts for more flavor. On its own, it didn't really stand out, especially the broth. - Service. Fairly reliable, as discussed above. However, one of our group asked for no onions in her pho, which they accidentally included when her pho came out. Thankfully, they were able to correct the mistake quickly and without a fuss. Final Answer Would be willing to come back, but not a first choice.

    Tasted like water. Horrible

Zero stars if I could. Food was inedible and we left immediately after getting the food (still paid but I probably shouldn't have). This place has terribly slow service. It took 30 minutes for two bowls of pho to come out and they tasted like beef water. Never in my life have I ever had such horrific tasting pho. Usually pho comes out fast, so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. That doubt was destroyed when we received the food. Traditionally, pho broth is full of delicious and complex flavorings from the medley of spices used. Imagine how surprised we were when we took the first sip and tasted absolutely nothing. The beef slices were very dark and tasted funny. We also ordered summer rolls which took forever to come out and we had to spit out a piece because it was hard. The windows are broken and it's clear the management doesn't care about upkeep. I'm surprised this place is even open.

The remains of my lunch of Pho, Quail and Vietnamese coffee.

I eat here every day practically. The roast quail is the best I've had anywhere and I've traveled all over the world. The Pho is outstanding, savory and the service is first rate.

Rats infested, bad service and chose to upcharge my meal after my friend took a photo of the rat.

    Real tea, see the leaves?
    Jerry S.

This place must have changed hands, and it's much better. For starters the proprietor brought hot tea with the menu. Real tea, with leaves. Turned out to hearty, sweetened jasmine and very welcome on a 30° windy day. Spoiler alert, no charge. Pho, of course. Broth was rich, properly clear and defatted, but low on spices and could have used a little less salt. Beef was tender and flavorful. Plenty of nicely textured noodles. Medium bowl was a bit smaller than regular bowl at other places. Very cordial service. $9.95, no extra credit for value. If the broth had delivered that happy place perfume I would have had to consider the fifth star, but a solid four **** and I won't hesitate to try the vermicelli bowls and bahn mi next time I'm in the area.

Chicken pho was dry and inedible. Flavor was not good at all. Recommend go to another pho place or just fast for the day. Save your money.

Ordering was so easy and simplified. You can just go up to the cashier to place your order and pick a table to sit down. We enjoyed our specialty drinks while waiting for our food. The fruit teas with boba and jelly were awesome. It had a nice sweetness with delicious jelly. Our food came out quickly. We started with fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. There were a lot of large shrimps. The Golden crepe was huge with perfect crunchiness. This was perfect size to share with a few people. The Grilled Pork vermicelli was delicious. It was perfectly grilled with flavorful grilled onions. The P1 pho was yummy goodness with a hint of sweetness of the broth. The S4. Hue Spicy Lemon Grass Soup was good. I expected it to be very spicy which I was a bit concern. But it was a medium to mild spiciest. So I still have my taste buds to try the Banh Mi. We had B4 Grilled Pork and B10 Special Bahn Mi (so we can try the different meat). Like the menu stated the bread was freshly made with perfect crunchiness. The Bahn Mi were flavorful! It was perfectly balance with meat and vegetables. I'm definitely coming back.

Broth was very rich and flavorful definitely not salty as most places over salt their pho. Service is 10! Im definitely come back and try their other popular items. I forgot to mention that their Vietnamese ice coffee is mmmm mmm good and a must!

THEY CHANGED OWNERS AND DID NOT ADVERTISE IT. I AM SO SO DISAPPOINTED…read more When this place first opened, it quickly became my #1 spot because it was really the only pho place in the area but it USED TO be so good! The family with the girl and boy that ran the front is not there anymore. So if you used to come here like me, I'm doing you all a favor and letting you guys know this place is TERRIBLE now that they switched owners. Not only that but much more expensive for a poor quality imitation of what this place used to be under the OLD owners. Small bowl is more than $18 now!!! Insane. I got a small bowl asked for half noodles they didn't do that and only had fatty brisket in it even though I got #11 which included also tendon and flank. YALL THIS PHO WAS COLD. The temperature was as if someone left hot tea out for 30-40 minutes. No more piping hot clear good broth, this broth from the new owners is MURKY AND BROWN and cold/lukewarm. I didn't say anything but just know I will NEVER come back its simply not worth it. Pickled onions was drowning in a weirdly sweet vinaigrette. Go elsewhere for better pho. I feel like these new people know they are not as good as the old people so they didn't tell anyone about the owner switch and are basically tricking people into coming and paying more money for worse pho riding on the coattails of a different owners reputation and I feel weirdly upset about that, like I've been tricked. If you guys used to come here all the time with the old owners then you will understand how upsetting this is. This place survived through the pandemic in the middle of PG that's how good they were. Pillar of the community just gone now. Also they won an award for being one of the best woman owned businesses but it's not woman owned anymore and the new owners haven't changed anything and they still have that sticker up even though it's not a woman owned business anymore. Like I said they are just riding the coattails of the previous owners.

It was our last day visiting fam in MD and we wanted to get some grub before the trip back to NY. There's a regular VN spot we frequent whenever we visit and it seemed to be closed so we didn't want to risk a drive out. We found Pho Tai 63 and called ahead to make sure they were open. Once that was done, we took the 20 minute drive to the restaurant and placed our order. The parking lot is SCANT. There are minimal spots. In this particular day (Black Friday), the place was packed, save for one spot and we got it. Upon entry, their dining room was full to capacity. We ordered some pho (that's all they have and I'm not mad - was a l'il disappointed at the time but we'll get to that). It too some time to get our food, much longer than expected, but I was not mad because there's definitely a reason for that. We brought every back home. Each pho dish was enough to feed two people my dad and brother ended up showing up at my sister's house the same time we got back. We had enough to feed everyone. The food is FRESH! the broths are clear and full of depth. You can make out the star anise and other herbs and spices. I split the shrimp pho with my brother since he doesn't eat meat. I got my sister the brisket pho. My son ordered the special pho and split that with my dad. Hubby also got a brisket pho and I got my daughter the chicken pho. The broths differ but each taste amazing. All of the pho came with the usual suspects: Thai basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce, lime and hot sauce. The accompaniments were plentiful so having extra mouths to feed worked out in our favor. My next trip south, I might have to do a taste test with both locations and see which I prefer. I wish they offered bahn mi sandos but honestly, with the caliber of pho they're dishing out, they are reigning supreme at the moment. Sometimes, it pays to focus on one thing and be REALLY good at it.
