I order Panera a lot, maybe even one to two times a week, especially for delivery since the drivers are amazing. However, the meal I received tonight was absolutely not okay. I ordered a whole caesar salad which is over $6 and found that less than half of the bowl was filled. After finishing pretty quickly, I moved onto the broccoli and cheese soup which had a long, dark brown hair in it. I am blonde. I understand that it can get busy there, especially around meal time, but cutting corners and not double checking food is not understandable. I would rather wait the extra few minutes for my food than receive less than half of one item and an unwelcome visitor in another. read more

I work by this location so had my fair share of experiences either for breakfast or lunch. Yes, there is a parking lot but it is hard to find a spot during these busy times. The staff is very focused on maintaining a conversation with each other opposed to truly interacting with the customer. The food is standard Panera that you find at each of their locations. I find their portions to be large and very caloric, but that is just me. I don't like how they just give you bread with your meal now instead of asking if you want the apple as a healthier option. You will be waiting 20-30 minutes to order if you go in the busy time so make sure you plan accordingly. read more

Selection of Menu Items: 3 out of 5 Same as they are everywhere, except perhaps the Panera Cares Cafe where they take donations in lieu of payment (those, I believe...have a limited menu). A plug here to just be mindful about the menu choices. Panera does a good job of listing the calories beside their items - but don't let their string of awards fool you into thinking that everything is equally as healthy. The roasted turkey wheatberry salad? Pretty decent. The big kid's grilled cheese with chips and a soda? Not so much... Cleanliness of store: 5 out of 5 Nice and clean when I went in the evenings. No tables were left dirty, the floors were clean, people came around often to check the garbage and cutlery bins, and the bathroom for all intents and purposes, was well sanitized. Hooray. Quality of coffee: 2 out of 5 I realize that Panera doesn' t market itself as a coffee shop, but the hot coffee here is just "Meh" just like any other location. You could give me McD's premium roast coffee in the same mug and I'd be equally as satisfied. In the end, it probably comes down to expectations, i.e., if you think you're going to be getting a Colectivo quality cup of coffee...well, you should probably just go to Colectivo. Food is good. But, their service needs to step it up. Their morning crew has a few team members that are more concerned with chatting then customer service. This is the 3rd time in a row that my Mocha tasted like it was made yesterday... I know this is not a coffee shop... But, I've been to several other Panera bread places that never had this problem. Today, coworkers and myself placed a delivery order with Panera around 1130AM. We work at a business very close by and order from this location frequently. We were aware that our order may take some time, but after we hadn't received it for an hour and a half, we tried to contact the store. After multiple phone calls, we finally spoke to someone who was not only rude, but had no answers or idea of when it would arrive. We finally received our order two hours after it was placed. While they added free bakery items for the inconvenience, we were missing items from the order and multiple of the sandwiches were burnt on the bottom. Disappointing, as there aren't many delivery options in the area. Hopeful next time will be better. read more

The last 3 times I have placed to go orders, there has been something major wrong that was not caught be the " quality control" staff that is supposed to be checking the orders. Last time, I ordered 3 salads to go. ( over $30 total ) All were ordered "with chicken". None had chicken on them. One order was no pickled onions, yet had tons of them on it. I called and spoke with Haly ( not sure of spelling). She offered to send me coupons. Never did get them. Tonight, I placed another order to go ($35 worth), and my salad was wrong yet again. i ordered a Quart of Chicken Noodle Soup for my mom who had a cold. I ended up with a quart of broth, there was maybe a half cup of noodles/carrots/chicken in it. Boy what a disappointment. Came to Panera as a change of pace. We ordered from the kiosk to avoid the line. GREAT option, but still ridiculously slow. It's a sandwich and a salad - nothing complex. Then we did the order from the table.... again AWESOME option..... but for two cookies and a muffin top, it's been almost 20 minutes. Panera is my go to place when I travel because it's healthy, fast food. This was not the case yesterday, when we stopped in for lunch in Mequon. We waited 45 minutes for our food before the manager finally refunded our money. Yes, that's right, we didn't even get our food after 45 minutes. I used to live near this location and just could not understand why they could not get their service together. We love the black bean soup in a bowl and a couple of the baked goods but every time we went, which was too many times, the service was so crudy. I would order a sandwich and a drink and would not get my drink until long after my food was made and eaten. The owner/manager who was often there, would do well to assess the methods of service and find ways to foster a happier and invested staff. read more

This seems to be a recurring issue among Paneras actually, but if you are looking to take a to go order, they'll do great. Went here for lunch today to try this location out. For starters, they didn't have the type of bread that was standard on the sandwich I wanted. I asked the cashier for a caloric equivelant bread and she didn't seem to know what that meant. So she suggested "honey wheat" bread which I said fine to. When I got the sandwich, the bread was really no different than what you could get in the grocery store from Sara Lee. Artisan my arse. The soup was pretty much what you could get in any progressive soup can or even Campbell's soup can. For $8.50, I could have bought a loaf of bread, cheese, and ham and made the same sandwiches myself in the parking lot. Had it been at least above average, I would have been satisfied, but this place is a big rip-off. The staff isn't very friendly, although for their wages I doubt that I would be either. Avoid this place like the plague, go get a sub at Jimmy John's or a noodle bowl for fast food, this place has little value for your consumer $$$. Spoke with Joe the manager 9/29 who was understanding & agreed to refund my $26.79 order. 10/13 spoke with Joe as I never received my refund. He stated he did mail me a check for $18. No idea why he would refund me $18 when my total was almost $27? Still waiting for my refund check... I finally got my refund - $24 refund for a $26.79 order? NEVER going here again EVER read more

It's almost a normal, slightly overpriced, hum-drum Panera, the kids working are usually pretty good and polite but the name of the place is Panera Bread. I'd be willing to bet you can go online to order something right now from this location and there will be one, possibly all of the side options unavailable. There are 3 or 4 different bread based sides, half of them are just simple rolls. Panera BREAD. I can call Pizza Hut and they have both Pizza and the Hut, it seems very simple. Unlike previous visits when we ordered the same salads, today the small bowls (for half portions) were only 1/3 filled with salad......what a joke for almost $6 each! Panera is usually one of my favorite places to eat at but yesterday I didn't have a great experience. I ordered online and they said the food would be done in about 20 minutes. By the time I got there (15 minutes after I placed the order), there were 3 other people waiting with their names coming first. I waited for about 15 minutes and they still hadn't gotten their food. By the time I got mine it had been 30 minutes or so after I ordered and I was late for my meeting. Even worse, when I looked over the counter, I could see their kitchen and it was a mess. There was garbage on the counter, on the floor, and the ovens looked gross. Once I arrived to my home and gave my kids their food, my daughter said her food didn't taste good. Wow what has happened to Panera. They took our favorite sandwiches off the menu and French onion soup. Today I ordered an Italian sandwich. Horrible. Very bland and who puts mayo on an Italian, shouldn't it have oil/vinegar. Rude cashier never asked what we wanted apple chips bread. they always get my order wrong and it is very inconvenient because I have to wait for them to wait on other customers and fix my order. first I had to ask for the mayo to be brought out. at other Panera they have their mustard and mayo out with no issues. then the forgot onions on my order. so I asked for a free treat at the bakery because the receipt says you can get a treat for your troubles if your order is wrong. I don't ask every time they get my order wrong (which is pretty much every time I go).I've asked a few times before and the managers are usually very compliant. this manager wouldn't let me get a treat for being inconvenienced. very poor customer service. won't be going back. i'm sad i'm not going there anymore because I've been a customer there since 2003. and it's just going downhill with every passing year read more

Where I work (Brown Deer and Port), there isn't much delivery around and impossible to leave the office so when I heard Panera Bread started delivering I was more then overjoyed, I was ecstatic (even though it's a bit pricey, it's a nice treat)! You can only eat so many subs and pizza. I've ordered from them now 3 times and only once they goofed on an order and forgot the chips for the sandwiches and was a hour to early (it was for an evening meeting) so it was hard keeping the hot stuff warm in an office environment. Called the next day to make them aware being that this is a new service and I felt they deserved the feedback. Matt, the manager surprised me and took a very generous credit off my order which was not what I was expecting so that alone made up for the missing chips. I'm glad to say that I haven't experienced out of stock items as the others and the food always comes nicely packaged. Only suggestion, it would be nice if they labeled the items and put the soups in a separate plastic bag or different container that didn't leak and the lid didn't pop off so easily. Possibly a quick fix would be to tape it down so I get my whole bowl of soup in the bowl and not on the bottom of the bag hence why the 4 stars. As for the delivery people, friendly and an excellent representation of the brand. I was very impressed when he came with a sharpie pen because ball point doesn't work for the most part in winter.
