    Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains
    Jessica J.

Chains aren't my favorite to review because they can be so hit or miss, based on so many factors. I've always been a fan of Panera though! Even though I've had some less-than-stellar meals over the years, the good one's definitely outweigh the bad! Recently, I popped in to grab a coffee and get some work done. It was over lunch hour so I decided to also get a bite to eat. I like to try newer menu items, or just things I've never had before. That said, I went for the Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains salad (*new item alert*) - it was really delightful. Refreshing and a big portion. First of all, any time something has green goddess dressing you can bet I'll try it. Loved the mix of pumpkin seeds, feta, avo, and pepperoncini peppers. All things I might not think to put together, but it worked! Generous chicken portion too. Oh and let's not forget the famous French baguette on the side... always a win. I've seen some Paneras get an awesome, upgraded makeover, but this location is still the original look. That said, it's still clean and well kept for sure.

    Everything bagel

Stopped on my way up north, they stopped serving breakfast early, and then I ordered a bagel and smoothie and they just threw my bagel into the bag, the bagel was torn apart into pieces and looked as though part was missing.

    Nope.

This Panera location has become a real crap shoot. I used to love their food, but after today I can't bring myself to go back...to this location at least. So my dad(who has cancer and hardly eats) really loves the Mediterranean bowl there so I stopped by to pick up an order for him. The bowl was like half filled and they gave him the wrong bread(he can't have sugar so only the sourdough is all clear for him to eat). How disappointing! For $9 I feel like the bowl shouldn't be half full! This was awful, especially for him since he rarely gets an appetite. I went around 2:30PM and I would like to mention they were not busy at all. Anyhow I'm not going to go on complaining, but I do feel ripped off. The pictures speak for themselves.

No extra egg and it's missing double meat.

Waited outside for 30min for my order to be delivered via curbside.... had to call to get them to walk outside after helping 16 customers (yep I counted) for them to only not follow directions and make my food wrong for the 3rd time in a row... this is absolutely asinine that even when a receipt is printed and specific directions are given they can't be followed.... so glad I paid $20 for my food to be made wrong and items I'm allergic to are in my food.... If you order delivery it gets even better.... the delivery driver likes to pick his butt prior to giving you your food... yep that's right he sure did. And now he's handing you your food? bro keep it I lost my appetite.

Been coming to this Panera for many years and they've definitely made some upgrades, which is nice. The menu has changed slightly but all my favorites are still there. My only complaint is how slow it can be, even during non lunch and non dinner hours, and the service. The employees taking orders always seem pretty agitated (I usually just use the self order kiosk nowadays) and annoyed. Sometimes they do get the order wrong, but it's usually minor issues like giving a baguette instead of chips, etc. They also always seem to run out of my favorite pastries. The food and restaurant itself are good. Gets pretty packed during lunch hour so it can be difficult to find a seat.

Lots of prep. Not much ready.

Dear Panera Management: I'm unable to accept a 31 minute wait for a two item, non-customized order. Even during the lunch rush. While I was waiting I looked up what other yelpers had to say and they corroborate my position this place needs an overhaul. If you value your time - go elsewhere

Green Goddes Cobb salad with frozen chicken and hair inside. Enjoy!

Chicken noodle soup (full sized bowl) had about one spoonful of combined chicken and noodles. Broth was very salty but plentiful.

I found myself looking for a Friday fish fry close to Germantown so that I could be back by 6:30pm…read more After looking through my bookmarks of places I hadn't been to yet, Crave Bar & Food's pictures intrigued me the most. In addition to the beer battered walleye with potato pancakes I got beer batter cheese curds and a dozen wings. Happy hour is 2pm to 5pm Monday through Friday and, along with having drink specials, select appetizers are $7 each. The cheese curds, which are huge and come as an order of nine, are one of those select apps. The batter didn't have much beer taste and the shredded Parmesan on top seemed unnecessary, but for $7 they were a steal and even at the regular price of $10.50 they're an excellent value. The old pictures I saw of their wings made them look like they were coated in a rub even though the menu didn't state it. Just to be safe, so I could taste the rub if there was one, I got half the wings without sauce and half with honey BBQ. There didn't end up being a rub on the wings, but the sauceless ones were still great. The honey BBQ was bold tasting, yet didn't overpower the flavor of the chicken. Although I enjoyed the wings, $18 for a dozen is on the very high end of what I would pay, especially since they were average sized and not jumbo. The amount of food on the walleye plate blew me away. Even if they gave me just one of the two large walleye fillets, I feel like that would have been about fair for the price. The two huge fillets made it feel like I hit the fish fry jackpot. Similar to the cheese curds, I didn't taste any beer in the batter, but the fillets were good regardless. I prefer potato pancakes that are thin and crispy, but their thicker potato pancakes were great even with largely being soft due to their thickness. I liked the herbs in the potato pancakes and was a big fan of the cinnamon applesauce compared to plain applesauce most other restaurants provide. Throughout dinner I heard some of the hostesses and waitresses stressing about reservations and having enough tables. Apparently I got lucky that a table was available right away when I got there at 4:30pm. I guess call to make a reservation if you plan on coming on a Friday night.

Management must know about this server and hence, I will never return.

For our main course, we had the lobster ravioli, mushroom ravioli with salmon, roasted chicken, and the wild striped bass. Dessert was ice cream, an olive oil cake, which the server said was underrated but very delicious, and she was so very right. When we were there it wasn't too busy, so you were able to have a conversation at your table without shouting to be heard. I'm not sure how it would be when they start to get very busy. They do take reservation which I think will be needed when it gets popular!!

Walking into Renard's, my first impression was that it had a romantic fine dining vibe and the room was bright. We were seated at a table with four wooden chairs, and unfortunately, all of us found the chairs extremely uncomfortable. For dinner, we ordered the Caesar salad, soup, olive & sausage pizza, crab fettuccine, French onion burger, and fries. The standout for me was the soup--it was flavorful and had a bold lemon taste that I enjoyed. The cannellini beans and kale made it hearty and satisfying. My husband and I were really disappointed by the olive & sausage pizza. We're pizza lovers but this one was overwhelmingly salty--even after we removed the olives, the sauce and ricotta were still too salty to enjoy. We ended up barely touching it. The crab fettuccine had great flavor, but the texture of the crab was not for me- it was crunchy, possibly from bits of shell. The French onion burger was a hit- big, cheesy, and satisfying. The fries were also great, especially paired with the aioli dip.
