Sweet Greens is my go to when I'm in the area and want a quick, healthy meal without the hassle of chopping or roasting veggies myself. Nothing but good things here! 1. Location It's in the busy Third Ward, parking can be a struggle during peak times. There's angled meter parking out front but sometimes it's hard to get a spot. 2. Service and Cleanliness The restaurant was clean and this included the self serve utensil area. The staff weren't smiley and enthusiastic. They meant business but they weren't rude and did greet me when I approached the counter. They provided fast service and got me in and out. 3. Quality of the Food The food quality is always fresh and the portions are so big you can easily get two meals out of one bowl. My only mistake this time was getting the dressing. Hard to save leftover salad with dressing already on it. Don't make my mistake unless you're sharing or can eat a huge salad. Oh and if you've never been here before, check the menu online first if you take a while to decide! There will be a line of regulars behind you sighing! lol! Yum! Mama treated herself to a yummy lunch between errands today. I opted to try the new menu item - chicken Caesar wrap! I subbed for blackened chicken and it did not disappoint - I especially loved the dressing, fresh parm and crunchy parm. Would definitely recommend this wrap especially for the price. Stopped by sweetgreen recently before heading to a play at a nearby theater. Not sure if we caught them on an off day but they weren't particularly busy when we were in but the place wasn't the cleanest (in terms of tables being cleared/cleaned etc) and the wait was inordinately long. They seemed to be possibly short staffed. There were only two people working behind the counter and given that similar spots will typically have 3-4 folks bustling about behind the counter, this seemed like maybe part of the issue. My salad was fine, I got the kale caesar with salmon to replace the usual chicken. Again, it was solid. My dining companion and I also opted to share an order of their riffle fries, which are air fried fries. The worker opened the air fryer and there were a few scattered fries that looked like they'd been sitting there a while. I figured she'd grab more to air fry fresh but no, she just went ahead and air fried those. They weren't good. A bit of a swing and a miss for our first visit to sweetgreen. read more

First time at Sweetgreen. My daughters love this place so we decided to stop in for lunch. They have a nice menu selection of cold and warm salads or you can order and customize whatever salad you would prefer. I had the BBQ chicken salad and it was very good, tangy and tasty with a nice portion of chopped chicken. It was a huge salad so I wasn't able to finish it surprisingly. We also ordered the rippled potatoes and enjoyed that as well with the side of garlic aïoli. They make everything in front of you and they have fresh vegetables in the refrigerators with glass doors behind the counter. Everything was very crisp and fresh so our meals were delicious. The staff was very helpful and pleasant too. It's a little pricy but overall, you get a nice large salad for the price. The large windows are nice for people watching while you enjoy your meal. LOVE Sweet Green! Yelp! Just held an event there where we could get an entry and crispy snack to try so I do want to preface that my meal was covered but it was delicious. I loved my selection - the Crispy Rice Bowl! The spicy cashew sauce is dairy free and gluten free but 100% not lacking flavor. It's a bit of a drive for me to go frequently but if I am in the area Sweet Green will be my first stop. Every single dish looked amazing and the staff was kind and responsible with treating allergens. Every time I come here I wait in excess of 20 minutes. Chronically understaffed. Have been told 2 hrs before close that they are out of multiple items. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this as it is the only city of Milwaukee location. It is prime dinner hour (6 pm) and there is one person on carry out and 1 person on the restaurant line. Just awful. Sweet, SweetGreen! I cannot tell ya how long I've been waiting your arrival to Milwaukee. Thanks for finally gracing us with you presence, and in a great location at that. Real food, healthy food, great food... we've needed this! I stopped in for their opening day. Well it was more of a 30/40 minute stop-in because of the wild line of locals eager to try their delicious eats. The place is certainly open, bright and inviting! Once I reached the front of the line, I was greeted by a friendly face to take my order. There are so many great, plant-forward salads and bowls to pick from! A big range of flavors too, from pesto chicken, bbq, and hummus, to caesar, buffalo, and teriyaki. Best part is, you can customize them all if you wish! I opted for the super green goddess this time. It was packed with tons of goodness that we're calling for me. Chickpeas, sweet potatoes, carrots, spicy broccoli, spinach and kale. Also, their house-made ranch that's definitely better than your typical ranch. I about shed a tear when I came to find out they were out of forks, because dang was a ready to dive in and eat. I cannot recommend. I had my service animal in a dog backpack for pickup and was asked to leave even though on the door it says service animals allowed. Went to Riley's instead and would rather spend money there where the people are accommodating. The gal that approached me said someone in the kitchen is severely allergic to dogs, so I guess no service animals allowed?! Not only does their front door say service animals allowed but their yelp website says dogs allowed. More appropriate response would have been "we do allow service animals, however we would ask that you wait outside while we prepare your order". Guess Sweetgreen is off the list! Glad I didn't waste the money there after all. Checked out the yelp reviews and I guess it's good they don't allow service animals due to the cleanliness issues! A pleasant surprise. When we're out and about in Milwaukee our food and drink choices aren't exactly heathy. For me it's usually about trying new beers and probably red meat with fries. Basically, not doing my body any favors. We passed Sweetgreen on our way to the Public House, which was packed. There were several spots inside that I would have eaten at, but lines were long, and the upstairs dining area had a ton of people waiting for a table. Sweetgreen looked interesting so we went back. I'm glad we did. I tried the Miso Glazed Salmon, which had a combination of fresh ingredients including the salmon cut, a half avocado, diced cucumbers, pickled onions, white rice and cashews. They offer a slice of whole grain bread on the side. Mixed together with the Nori sesame seasoning...this dish was very tasty and filling. The only thing that could have been slightly better was the salmon. It was a little dry. I'd like to see more 'fast food' places like this near me. Hopefully they come to Kane County IL soon! I'm really glad Sweetgreen has come to MKE to offer another healthy, quick lunch option! I find their app interface super easy to use for ordering and have always had a good pickup experience. I haven't really interacted with staff so can't speak to them, but the vibe & music was uplifting and enjoyable! Parking in 3rd Ward can be really tricky, so given the location it can make it challenging for a "quick" pickup when you can't find nearby parking - it would be great if they were able to establish either a curbside option or get a spot reserved for their business out front given that they are fast food. I opted for the chicken fajita bowl which was super flavorful and filling! The chicken was cooked well and all the toppings were too. It would be nice if they added tomato and/or avocado to the bowl to give it a bit more color (instead of corn!), but overall really good meal and was satisfied :). read more

I had been wanting to check out Sweetgreen since I came to Milwaukee, so I finally made my way over there. The lady who was working was very helpful in helping me decide which one I wanted. The person who made my bowl was actually training, but it turned out delicious and I was very happy with my choice. The only weird thing to me is that they give you a piece of bread on top, not toasted or butter or anything. I do appreciate that they have compostable packaging there and indoor / outdoor seating options, but obviously the parking situation is not ideal. Space is super clean. I was surprised so see multiple people in line a few minutes before closing. I ordered the crispy rice bowl, because that's what everyone seemed to be ordering. Meh the flavors were kind of weird. The veggies were super crispy and fresh, but just the combination wasn't for me. I like how all of their items are super customizable and I was able to swap out the chicken for tofu no problem. I would definitely come back, and just order something different. I'm sure there's a combination out there that I'll love. Also, as several other reviews have mentioned, the employee was mentioning how understaffed they are. Just be forewarned I wouldn't go here during busier times if you're in a time crunch. I've heard about this place for years, it was fun to try it out! We had such a great time at Sweetgreen for their opening day! The line wasn't too long when we got there, but was out the door when we left (people were definitely excited!). Once we got to the front the staff was friendly and made sure to ask questions about menu items and if we wanted to make any changes or substitutions. They were all set up with QR codes posted to download the app and it was decorated with balloons and there was a flower stand outside. We also got a free caramel Rice Krispie treat which was delicious! I got the buffalo chicken bowl and changed up the greens a little bit. It was delicious and the chicken was a great source of protein. The portion size was perfect! I will never be going here again. The service was terrible. I said hi multiple times to multiple people before anyone even acknowledged me waiting. The employees all looked annoyed. I asked if an ingredient had dairy since I'm allergic and she said she didn't know, but didn't bother to check, so I just got it without. The food looked gross and messy. The toppings were getting mixed in with other toppings (very concerning to someone who has allergies). My bowl wasn't even that good. The fries were cold. I doubt any of that food was being held and the correct temperatures. I ended up feeling sick the rest of the night. This is all such a bummer because I love Sweetgreen for its mission and values, but the workers are definitely not carrying those out and it's sad to see. read more
