Online it says the kitchen is open daily until 10pm so I'm not sure why that day was different. After reluctantly taking our order, he took the menus and threw them back onto the bar and walked away. It was super awkward and made us feel uncomfortable. Ten minutes later, we got our burgers & fries. The burger was juicy and had great flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy. After a while, he came back over and decided he wasn't annoyed any more. He proceeded to engage in conversation with us until we left. The food is great for bar food, but the service is not the best to say the least.

And the restaurant embraces that history and weaves it into the dining experience with the decor, heirlooms and anecdotes. The menu changes seasonally. Both seasons that I have seen were small but well-balanced with something to please most palates. We enjoyed the stuffed dates, the carrot curry soup, the salmon and the beef tenderloin. All of them were amazing. Seasoning was subtle to let the flavors of the ingredients shine through. And the cooking and execution was fantastic. Their cocktails are complex and delicious. And the creme brulee dessert was one of the best I've had in the city. The service was good, but this isn't a place you come for a quick bite and run. It's a place to converse, to sip, and enjoy some decadent bites.

I would say don't be like us, give yourself more time to get there in case the shuttle waits for people or traffic is bad by the destination. Overall we were very full but for me, I wouldn't get the fish fry again not due to taste but fish fries are expensive everywhere and I prefer more fish and thinner batter. Next time, I'd try a burger. The cloud bread was on my list to try for a long time but it was just okay in my opinion. Their pizza looks good too so I want to try some other items on the menu. The service was fine, I think we came around a shift change so several people helped us. The interior was well done, it looks so much better now and that patio is a great addition. My partner said he'll have the same thing. I confirmed to make sure that was also including the ice coffee, and the person that took our order said yes. We waited for a while for our order (highly recommend ordering online, we just saw different prices on their website vs online ordering service, so we thought we'd just wait to order in person), then she forgot our iced coffees. We waited some more. She only brought out one. She said oh sorry, I only rang you up for one. So we waited some more. At that point I thought she would just let us have the coffee on the house, but she did indeed ring us up. We were probably in and out with our to-go order in about 40 minutes. All in all, I'd go back for the iced coffees if I was in the area because they were good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
