This is my go to place for hummus any time I'm in the area. Their other food is also delicious and portions are generous. It's tucked inside an apartment building and is food court style with multiple restaurants. Service is friendly and accurate.

Visiting from Cali, wanted some healthy food and came across this place. Food is so delicious and fresh! I had the chicken plate with salad, no rice and hummus. The food was so authentic and delicious. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a soft, yummy interior. Personnel is very friendly and welcoming. I recommend this place.

One of my favorite places to eat now! Will never forget my experience!! Best gyro in town my chicken shawarma was amazing and juicy

Amjab has excellent customer service! Dessert of the day was the Baklava. When ordering a savory item from the menu...I must state the food is cooked with care and quality. On my cheat meal days, I enjoy the mixed grill item. It is comprised of one skewer each of beef shish kebab, shish tawook, and beef kafta. My dish is also accompanied with hummus, rice and salad.

Today, I had a chance to try this new Middle Eastern Pl ace in town. I cannot rave enough about the hospitality and the quality of the food. I ordered the beef Shawarma, the chicken Shawarma, tabouli, hummus, and also picked up some banana pudding. The owner was kind enough to offer us the pistachio truffles. Everything we tasted was delicious. Fresh, and homemade. It took about 10 minutes to get the food and we couldn't wait to devour it. The hummus is by far my favorite as it is as authentic as it gets. The tabouli is a very close second and it was fresh with the perfect amount of dressing. The meat that was used in the beef Shawarma was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The same thing can be said about the chicken. Just the perfect amount of spices complimented this meal. The boat shop is located in an old brewery that has been turned into an apartment complex. If you are looking for authentic food, this is the place to go.

Shawarma chicken and beef over rice. Salad and humus with pita bread in to go plate.

Service was great. Food tasted ok. Rice was dry. Beef and chicken was not moist as it should have been, but it tasted good. Received more rice than meat and would have liked to have more humus instead of the small amount that fit in the to go plate. Pita bread was hard not soft. Overall my plate was ok. I included a pic for you to see. The ambiance was good, however parking was hard to find in that area.

We just wanted a drink and a quick bite to eat and being during a baseball game, lots of places in the area were busy. There was a good crowd there watching the game as well. It's an interesting setup, reminds me almost of a living room (with dining tables) and then the small bar area is to the side. To order food, you do it through two wall kiosks which I like because you can look at options and not feel rushed unless there's a line. Outside they have tables and a tv as well. I choose a veggie sandwich which had a good kick to it! The smaller size was good enough for me. It was a bit confusing how to get your food, from what we understood, you have to go through a door to get to the kitchen window (bathrooms are that way too) but no one calls your order number or anything. I'd suggest an improvement on that way you know your food is ready or maybe we missed something. Overall, I would return and would like to try other items on the menu!

Pavlovian response (read: classical conditioning)…read more "Classical conditioning (also Pavlovian conditioning or respondent conditioning) is a form of learning in which the conditioned stimulus or CS, comes to signal the occurrence of a second stimulus, the unconditioned stimulus or US. (A stimulus is a factor that causes a response in an organism.) The conditioned response is the learned response to the previously neutral stimulus.[1] The US is usually a biologically significant stimulus such as food or pain that elicits a response from the start; this is called the unconditioned response or UR. The CS usually produces no particular response at first, but after conditioning it elicits the conditioned response or CR. Classical conditioning differs from operant or instrumental conditioning, in which behavior emitted by the subject is strengthened or weakened by its consequences (i.e. reward or punishment).[2]" Enter, Pacific Wraps. My CS? Hearing someone utter the words "Pacific Wraps." Someone alluding to "that wrap place in the union." Anything comparable. My US? Uncontrollable salivation. Let's back up the proverbial bus here to provide a bit of context for a place which many Milwaukeeans over the age of 23 may not know about. Pacific Wraps = wrap joint in the UWM Union food court. There's really nothing special about it, I assure you... though they have lots of options and some are healthy/inventive or whatever. Use your Panther Card if you're like 20 and mommy and daddy load it for you, or pay something like six or seven bucks for any of their myriad wrap choices: Thai Chicken, Chili-Hummus, the Firecracker, Mandarin Chicken Salad, Korean, Vegan Falafel... I could go on, but I'll stop with the mention of THE MONTEREY. I am a disgusting human because I loved and still love the Monterey wrap from Pacific Wraps. I am even more disgusting because sometimes I would sub in CRISPY (read: fried) chicken instead of the grilled. Let's talk about how perfectly pedestrian this piece is regardless: chicken, cheddar, bacon, rice, and ranch all wrapped up together in a delicious, delicious gut-bomb of a thing. You wouldn't think something so plain and so fast-food-esque could be so delicious, would you? You're wrong, though. I was thrilled, however, to learn the other evening over drinks and bites post-Brew City Bash II that both my Yelp-tern Jess S and elite extraordinaire Shane H share in my secret Monterey/Pacific Wraps shame. I am alone no longer! I am not a secret disgusting monster! Shane went on to inform me that, sometimes, Pacific Wraps runs an AVOCADO MONTEREY special. Shane. I may or may not head to Pacific Wraps today and battle the throngs of 19-year olds. I'm almost ten years older than them now, and IDGAF about being in the student union anymore. Wait. There's so much variety, as far as meat, no meat, gluten-free, spicy, mild, rice, no rice, etc. You really CAN have it all! The crew that works here obviously changes a lot since it is staffed by students, but they generally are pretty good at what they're doing. If they are out of a particular item, they are very good at suggesting alternatives. Sometimes you get one worker who just really, really, has no idea how to wrap a wrap. It is unfortunate and sometimes messy, but you know what? It still tastes the same! Eat it and go about your day! I recommend the Monterrey (rice, grilled chicken, bacon, ranch)! It's heaven in a cylinder!

Very tasty sauce (hot honey garlic, at Thomas' recommendation) that wasn't overdone or underdone - just the right amount. I usually get my wings naked because so many places go wrong with the amount of sauce (usually just too drenched), but since we were on a timeline tonight, we just ordered without asking for anything else. So glad we did! By the way, not fried wings, so not super crunchy on the outside but still crispy and not at all soggy. And super moist, perfect temp inside. Tap Guinness Perfectly poured with just the right amount of cream on top. Hany is usually an IPA man, and went Guinness this time and did not regret it!
