    Mix Platter BBQ

This was my first exposure to Pakistani cuisine, and I am now sold forever. I came for dinner on a Thursday evening with a group of 5 colleagues, including someone from Pakistan. They seated us right away and provided menus. The friendly server answered all of our questions and helped explain the menu. I ordered the chapli kabob which was delicious and came to the table still sizzling from the kitchen. I also tried someone's BBQ mixed platter which was moist and flavorful. I tried a lot of the other dishes at the table as well and enjoyed everything. The dining room is small but comfortable and the service is excellent. Our server was beyond helpful and accommodating. When it came time to check out, we had to divide the check 5 ways, and they handled it with no problem.

Came by for lunch. Ambiance was casual, service was pleasant and the food ranged from great to excellent. Genuinely surprised to find one of the best Indo-Pak restaurants in Milwaukee versus NYC, Chicago, Boston or Atlanta. Our highlights: Biryani (red meat opt), Bihari kebab, ginger soda they blend in house and the milk tea. Certainly a repeat type of establishment. This review is after my 4th visit so shame on me for not sharing earlier.

I got tired of looking at this place and not seeing any pictures so I thought that they needed a Steve stop by. This place has been a few different restaurants over the years and the last place was oddly a Mediterranean style restaurant. The menu has a lot of great options and I was torn between something curry or a Kabab but the Seekh Kabab won. My food was ready in 20 minutes and I was on my way with take out, C19 habit and the place was empty and I don't like eating in empty restaurants. when I opened up my food I was completely surprised that it was just 3 Kababs and a pathetic looking small salad Which was mostly lettuce. I believe that this is my first Kabab entree that didn't come with some sort of rice like every other Kabab order I have received in the past. The Seekh Kababs were on a bed of onions and green peppers and looked good. The Kababs were cooked perfect and not dry at all and tasty with spicy green sauce on them. I'm disappointed that for $14 all you get in the Seekh Kabab entree is Kababs and a pathetic cheap small salad.

The server was hitting on one of my friends who was not interested, clearly married and had children with her after we had told him to stop.

We entered and we were greeted right away by a very friendly woman. We sat at a table with lovely, rustic looking plates. The dining area was decorated nicely and the music was also very pleasant. I used the bathroom once and it was clean and everything was working. Our server brought us bottles of water and menus immediately. We ordered the puffed bread dish called chole bhature which came with a white raita sauce, a Chana chickpea mix and some sort of a pickled side as well. The bread and all the sauces were very tasty. We ordered two lamb curries and the lamb was tender and tasty and both curries were very good. Our server brought us gulab Jamun to try for dessert. Let me say, I'm not a dessert fan, but I loved it. I would order it next time. I can't forget to mention the service, which was fantastic throughout the meal. Thank you to our server who made the experience even better! I have already recommended this place to multiple people and will continue. Great experience. Thank you! We will be back!

Tandoor is located in a stripmall that is close to the sidewalk on 108th. If you go just past the end of the strip mall, you'll find a driveway that will take you to the back of the complex where there's parking. It's a small lot but we've never had a hard time finding a spot. The dining room is basic and there's very little atmosphere. It's definitely not the sort of spot you have to dine in to really experiences. In all likelihood, I'll take future orders to go. That said, the dining room is clean and comfortable and the service was pleasant. We ordered the gobi manchurian to start. It was delicious with slightly less heat that I'm accustomed to but none-the-less, a delight. For my main, I got the malai kofta which was pitch perfect. We also got an order of their peshwari naan--also just the right amount of sweetness from the raisins and buttery bread. For dessert, we got the gajar ka halwa, which is an Indian carrot pudding (if you're not familiar). It is absolute comfort food in a dish. My gosh--not too sweet, warm, and lovely. Highly recommend! Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
