Pro Tip: Don't worry about ordering too much. The leftovers are even better the next day Anmol is a great restaurant with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The curries are packed with flavor and even the basmati rice is flavorful as you can tell by the aromatic spices like whole cloves and cinnamon that you'll want to pick out before eating. This restaurant also offers #halal options for those with dietary restrictions. Prices were fair and I feel like we got a lot of value in quantity and flavor based on what we paid. The restaurant also offers multiple styles of samosas which are both amazing and unique. Thankfully we had some leftover to heat up the next day. After sitting overnight and marinating even further, the leftovers were so good I wished I had ordered more food just to enjoy it the next day!

This place is excellent. A friend brought me here recently for what he said was the best East Asian food in the Milwaukee. I think he may be right. The small dining area was empty when we arrived at opening time and full by the time we finished. He ordered a lamb korma and said it was amazing. The naan was fresh, warm and fluffy. My malai kofta was light, tasty and had a rich, nuanced sauce. Now I want to try everything on the menu. The food is also halal. You can pull up the menu on your cell phone and vegetarian and carnivorous options abound. No alcohol is served.

There are few things that could be counted on anymore. Anmol proved to be one of them. Even during these unusual times, they stayed consistent with their options and quality. Like most of us, food always had been a comfort thing for me and it would have been more disappointing if I could not find delicious food when I was craving it. Their haleem is easily one of the best I had in the US. Each of their dishes have their own unique flavor. Never had a bad or sub-par biryani from them.

This spot right here is legit! It's great that Milwaukee has a place that serves Pakistani & Indian Halal cuisine and they don't disappoint. I've ordered from here many times and have always been satisfied with the wide assortment and array of dishes they offer. The Chicken Tikka is one of their most popular dishes and the tandoori masala it's marinated in is rich and flavorful. If you want to try a number of things I highly suggest ordering the Anmol Platter: Chicken Tikka, Chicken Boti, Seekh kabab, and Reshmi Malai. The Vegetable Samosas also rock! Order the Garlic Naan to compliment these dishes and I promise your belly will be full and content.

Regretfully, I have to give this place 1 star. This used to be my absolute favorite Indian restaurant when I lived in Milwaukee. I've lived in many cities in many states and nothing ever compared. I wished I wouldn't have tainted my memory with this visit. I ordered my usual dish, Shrimp Masala, and it was awful. The once red creamy &red curry was orange and oily. It had zero flavor, smelled funky, and the shrimp tasted off. When I informed the owner, I was simply met with a smug, "nothing has changed" as he walked away. Disappointed is an understatement. They've upgraded their furniture. but the food quality has went down hill.

On the way back from Madison to Chicago I wanted to stop by Milwaukee for a dinner break. Randomly searched for halal restaurants and Anmol came up as an option with good reviews. At first I thought this is the second restaurant of Anmol in Chicago but the owner confirmed it's not. I didn't have high hopes hearing that but the food quality and service at this restaurant beat all my expectations - chapati, naan, chicken makhani, chicken/goat karahi and bhindi were all great. Even the chai and dessert (gulab jamun) was freshly made and amazing. This is a hidden gem in the area and highly recommended. Too bad I don't live in Chicago else this would have been a repeat for me even if I had to drive an hour for that to Milwaukee

I was concerned about the availability of vegetarian options, but there are a few options and they are accommodating. The space is fairly basic, but it has what you need. There are several tables available. They have a TV playing Bollywood-style videos. Parking is on the street. I saw a counter where it said you should order and pick up, but we had our order taken at the table and our food was brought to us. Everyone who worked there was very nice, but they did not speak a great deal of English. I ordered a cheese and butter non-traditional dosa, but I received a veggie dosa. I was not mad about it at all. The dosa was amazing - crispy and light and perfect and stuffed with veggies that were somehow still crunchy, but infused with great flavor, as if they'd been cooked for hours. The dosas come with a dal type of sauce, something quite hot and another cold sauce we couldn't identify, but it was good. BF had a masala dosa and it was divine as well. Great potato filling, amazing flavor and the same sauces and superb dosa texture and flavor. Not understanding the generous size of the dosa, I'd ordered a veggie fried rice as well. I just barely tried it since I was stuffed, but it was excellent as well. Fresh flavor, which was complex, despite the veggies remaining al dente, with a short grain rice that I haven't identified. The dish does have eggs, which the cook/server/owner cleared with me when I ordered. I look forward to having this food again and again, but I'll be hard pressed to order anything other than the dosa. It's all about the food.

It smells great and is clean. Watching the roti process is mesmerizing. We likely over ordered out of anticipation from how long we've had to wait to find another Malaysian restaurant. The roti stuffed with onion and spices and chicken with the curry sauce was delicious! Amazing flavors, not too spicy, so tasty! The spicy squid dish was warm and the flavor went all across the palate. Asked my date and heard "The noodles are so good!!" Please give this place a try.

We were in the back room due to our large group and were concerned that service would be impacted, but they were attentive and energetic. The owner came back to check on us as well. The large round tables were comfortable for our group of 8, and we enjoyed our evening. We'll be back next Christmas Eve ( and likely sometime in between)! One thing I noticed that was new (to us) was the open to pay the bill via Toast QR code. I'm starting to really appreciate that as I think it takes a load off the server and allows us to close out quickly. Thanks to everyone for taking great care of our family for the evening!!

We enjoyed the complimentary chips and dips and we both enjoyed our entrees. The chicken was very tender and the flavors were delicious. The food did take very long to come out and it also took a while to pay as it looked like one woman was doing most of the table service. We were also a little surprised to see each drink was $12. We just got a single rail vodka soda which came in a small glass. That price seemed a bit steep for that.
