Congratulations on your grand opening, becoming a restaurant at 3101S 15th Place, Milwaukee 53215. Authentic Malaysian, Indonesian and Burmese food! Place is clean! Food is awesome and fast. Pricepoint is reasonable.

I came back. They took my order incorrectly (and there was just me and one more person in line). I had ordered chicken fried rice got beef and chicken fried rice instead. I love sunny side up eggs but these eggs were quite raw, I had to throw them out. Fried rice did NOT taste anything like what we had the first. And to make it worse it was very spicy. I am so so disappointed. I was really looking forward to the food and our dinner went half to waste.

Saffron remains one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in MKE I love so many things about it. The ambiance is spot on, moody, yet energetic. Their cocktails are always ahhhmazing. Each dish that comes out is somehow better than the last, there's not one thing on the menu that disappoints. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, offering great recommendations when we are choosing between items. It's a great spot to go with a larger group so you can try lots of dishes! It's not impossible to get a reservation which I appreciate, but it's always booked/lively. The food presentation only enhances the experience, but the flavors and textures are really what make this menu shine. I cannot wait to go back in July with a group of friends (who have never been!) and try the whole menu! Bravo, Saffron, keep up the great work

And we always try to get a lot of different dishes around the table so everyone can try something different. The food was as usual, delicious! We were in the back room due to our large group and were concerned that service would be impacted, but they were attentive and energetic. The owner came back to check on us as well. The large round tables were comfortable for our group of 8, and we enjoyed our evening. We'll be back next Christmas Eve ( and likely sometime in between)! One thing I noticed that was new (to us) was the open to pay the bill via Toast QR code. I'm starting to really appreciate that as I think it takes a load off the server and allows us to close out quickly. Thanks to everyone for taking great care of our family for the evening!!

We enjoyed the complimentary chips and dips and we both enjoyed our entrees. The chicken was very tender and the flavors were delicious. The food did take very long to come out and it also took a while to pay as it looked like one woman was doing most of the table service. We were also a little surprised to see each drink was $12. We just got a single rail vodka soda which came in a small glass. That price seemed a bit steep for that.

The restaurant is not particularly hard to get to without a car When I arrived there were several families eating and service was a little slow. But I wasn't in a hurry. I was thirsty so I asked for water and got a pitcher. I also had a milk tea that I liked. It was sweet but not overwhelming. I had the Burmese biryani with chicken. It was generously portioned and all the separate elements came together nicely--bone-in chicken in a curry, biryani rice, salad, and mango pickle. The people were very nice and I look forward to trying a few other dishes.

It's not easy finding flavors that truly taste like home, so I was excited to bring my Hispanic husband here to experience Malaysian food beyond my own cooking (which honestly doesn't do it full justice). We came during lunch and ordered the Nasi Goreng USA and it tasted exactly like home. The flavors were spot-on and incredibly comforting. While prices here may be slightly higher (which is expected when these dishes are made and sold in the US), the menu offers a great variety of Malaysian dishes that make it well worth it. The ambiance was also a pleasant surprise, it genuinely felt like being at a mamak back home. Overall, this place is a gem, and I'll definitely be recommending it to other Malaysians I know here in the States.
