I have been wanting to go to Odd Duck for so long, and I finally got the chance and it did not…read moredisappoint! We had a wonderful experience dining here! Our server, Adam, was quick and attentive. He was funny, suggested items for us to try, and was very tentative of our friend's food allergy. We started the night with a few drinks; #39 non-alcoholic Paloma, #129 non-alcoholic sbagiato, and #33 Sherry Pear-Y. All of which were absolutely amazing! Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. It was fun spotting all the duck decorations. Honestly, cannot rave enough about this place, I look forward to the next time I visit!

The servers here know the menu very well which was super helpful when deciding what we wanted to order. The food was good but out of the 4 dishes we ordered the Tempura Nori Roll GIMMARI was the only memorable item to me and our server said it would be rotated off of the menu. I can tell that there has been a lot of care and detail put into the experience here and I can really appreciate that.

The decor is so pretty and I love the open bar. It was a very nice day out and we were able to get seated at a table outside. Everyone loved everything we ordered. I think they have the best cheese curds in Milwaukee. And the burrata salad, wow! Will be ordering this every time I come here now. The burger and chicken sandwiches were amazing, but the desserts were honestly some of the best I've ever had. Great dining experience and incredible food!

We chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day, and our server was friendly, attentive, and prompt. We started with two lemonades, the lavender and the raspberry rose, and both were delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. While the sandwiches are on the pricier side, the meal was well worth it. Each sandwich comes with a very generous portion of fries, which added to the value. The Bánh Mì sandwich was incredible. The combination of flavors and ingredients worked perfectly together, making it one of the highlights of the meal. We would definitely come back and bring friends along to try some of the other dishes!

The National Cafe and Bakery was able to accommodate without a problem--they don't use soybean oil or soy based butter in their vegan options. Most vegan options at restaurants are soy based so this was such a refreshing change. The vegan French toast is so good and hearty! I also love their baked goods and look forward to being able to enjoy a treat there. I hope they continue to to serve my neighborhood--I love the farm to table concept. 10/10. We ended up getting the full English breakfast, I had a London fog latte and my fiancée had a regular coffee. They do have oat milk and soy milk if you prefer that instead of regular milk in your coffee. The full English breakfast has baked beans, tomato, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs and toast. I have had this numerous times here and it has always been my favorite! the baked beans are just a little sweet n tangy, the eggs are however you like them cooked, and the mushrooms at a bit of earthy flavor. If you have ever been to England, the only difference is there is no white or black sausage here. I don't exactly like it so I am glad the sausage here is more like a broiled regular one. The London fog here is the ONLY one I like in MKE! They always put just the right amount of vanilla syrup and milk in it. Most places end up making it super sweet but this place is PERFECT! I come here occasionally because it's also cute and we like to sit in the window and people watch. The service is great and you just order from your phone at the table you choose and pay using Apple Pay or a card.

They were excited we were there, and our server (or maybe it was the host) confirmed we had stumbled into the "best restaurant in Milwaukee." Okay! The cocktail menu was adventurous, and the Rickety Skeleton I ordered (that's a cocktail name...no actual bones were brought to the table) was truly delicious and did the job of making me very happy. I'm a sucker for mezcal or anything smoky, and this lived up to my Southern California standards for such a creation. The service was outstanding and super friendly. The atmosphere was great too...We might have been able to get a table if we walked in, but the place was almost full (so lively vibe), and glad we had a reservation. The food was good. Overall, I thought almost everything we got was a bit oversalted, which distracted me from what might have been the unique flavors of the dishes. We shared Mushroom Fricassee - might as well get a restaurant name-sake dish. It looked beautiful, but the mushrooms were a bit too salty. The Ricotta Gnudi was gorgeous and tasted good, especially with the pea mint broth it rested on...but this also felt a little salt-heavy. We also shared bread service, which may have been my favorite part of what we got...several different house-made breads with, very salty butter. I love a good salted butter, but even this seemed like a little too much. I'm not against salt, but it just felt like it killed what could have been truly elevated flavors in these dishes. We closed with Almond Goat Cheese Cheesecake...I mean, how could we not...this was perfect. We appreciated a lot about Morel and are glad we went, but wish the dishes we got were a little less salt-heavy.

They were out of nearly half of their alcoholic beverage offerings, which was a bit odd. I selected the goat curry, which was delicious, but there was very little meat and you really had to dig through the bones for it turning into a dish that took a bit of work to enjoy. However, the flavor profile was on point and they have a one through five spice scale. Be aware this is an Asian spice scale, not a Caucasian spice scale. Two will probably be spicy enough if you're not used to Asian food. My boyfriend got the beef steak dish that he said was filling with the rice. He has a good appetite and was fulfilled. He felt the dish was delicious and a good match of vegetables selected to complement the beef. He thought the flavor was very good.

We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.
