We have had super pleasant employees help us and we have had a few that have been a little less than enthusiastic. It's rare that I'm out this way, but anytime I have the chance to pop into Goddess and the Baker, I will! The venue is so darn welcoming. Such a large and bright space. Funky decor with tons of patterns, colors, and textures. Lots of seating options, perfect if you're coming alone, with a friend, or even a group. This include on their outside space. I recently popped in to get some work done. Wasn't in need of food which is a shame really because they have a great menu packed with breakfasts, salads, sammies, bowls, toasts, and beyond. Oh and ridic bakery items that you can't miss in the big glass showcase. I opted for a strawberry matcha and it was a treat! Not to sweet, just the right twang of berry, served hot in a mug. Would 10/10 order again. If you're a matcha fan, you should too. Service was friendly, environment was comfy to work in. I'll continue to make it a stop when I'm in the Brookfield area. read more

Very Vibrant color. The matcha was very light, flavorful and creamy. Yuzu is also very good. I appreciate the separation to taste them individually. Mixed together is very good too. The cafe space is very well lit and bright and the staff is very helpful and clarifying some specialty drinks! read more

I've been to Goddess and the Baker quite a few times and it never disappoints! The place is so trendy and often very busy (sometimes seating does get full fast)! Staff is always kind and efficient which I appreciate. They offer a versatile menu of different beverages, sweet treats, breakfast and lunch (it is on the slightly pricer side though). I recently tried the avocado toast which was delicious- the citrusy dressed arugula was amazing on the avocado! I always like their coffee drinks but recently decided to try the açai palmer- definitely worth trying if you like a fruity tea bev. Came here for lunch with my fiancé. We' e always wanted to try it out bc it looks so nice & calm inside. Definitely did not disappoint. The lunch menu was amazing & so was the drink menu. I got the Greek Chicken Gyro Salad. It was phenomenal. My fiancé got the Cappuccino & Shashuka Danish. Fun little bakery cafe on a busy corner in the outdoor mall of Corners at Brookfield! Good menu variety, surprises by the different food offerings than were more than just a regular breakfast sandwich. Of course, an incredible bakery selection in the glass cases that tempts you while you wait in line to order! A little pricey... $17 for a lox plate with bagel, cream cheese and veggies; the fresh dill was awesome. Lattes were great, but for $6, it was more of a doppio espresso size?! Today, on Valentine's Day, they had a two-for-one special on their Raspberry Cardamom Mocha Latte -- which was very good (could use a bit more cardamom, but that's just me)! Despite how busy they were, the staff was working together seamlessly, and their positive energy was contagious. They were smiling at each other and interacting with the customers with smiles, making the experience that much better. I really enjoyed my experience here! Everything was tasty and everything was finished in an efficient manner. There were only a few minor inconveniences but nothing serious. 1. They gave me a pager for my drink but it sat up there for a few minutes and my pager never went off. 2. They ran out of oat milk and soy so I had to use a milk I wasn't familiar with but it was still very delightful. 3. I came in a Sunday afternoon so it was pretty crowded but I did find a place to sit with a plug. If you're in the area. I would definitely try it! If you're a coffee snob, the latte was mediocre but if you aren't, I honestly think the average coffee drinker would find this place quite pleasant as long as they don't mind loud spaces. read more

Love coming here. I am from out of town and visiting Milwaukee. I tend to come to town once a year to every other year and this is always a must stop for me. During my recent visit in Brookfield, I had an overall delightful experience that I couldn't wait to share. I tend to come early in the morning during the weekday, as it is less busy during that time. Around lunch, especially the weekends it can get VERY busy (always good for business). The coffee shop boasts a fantastic atmosphere with a cozy and inviting vibe. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend hours enjoying your drink or working on your laptop. The decor is warm, open and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for both relaxation and socializing. Always a plus for me when I visit coffee shops. The menu offers a unique selection of coffee options, and I was particularly impressed by their miso dirty chai latte and golden milk latte, both were exceptional. The variety of choices available ensures that there's something for everyone. Additionally, the pastries are a highlight; I tried the avocado toast, which was flavorful and filling, truly the best I've had here in Wisconsin so far. Shashuka was alright, a little watery for my liking. I like the sauce to be thicker, but it was still flavorful; everyone makes them different. Price is on the pricier side for Wisconsin, but coming from Vegas these are the similar prices we pay for a cafe spot like this. While the cashier was incredibly friendly and he even remembered me after just a couple of visits. It made my visits very welcoming. However, I found the barista's demeanor to be less engaging. Coming from Las Vegas, where hospitality standards are notably high, I expected a bit more warmth. Although she wasn't rude, a smile would have made the experience even better. Overall, I stopped by this coffee shop four times during my stay in Brookfield and enjoyed each visit. Ordered a steak Chipotle Ranch Wrap, and it they threw some substitute of beef on there, but it definitely was dried out and was not steak even close. The wrap was put into a sleeve to keep it warm but the inside of the wrap had iced cold ingredients - so why put it into a sleeve to keep things warm when there's nothing warm on it? This is a cute breakfast spot! I have seen this place many times before in Chicago, but I have never tried this location in Brookfield. When I came in, I was immediately impressed by the clean, modern aesthetic. It was also extremely crowded, so make sure to come early if you can if you are trying to find a seat. I like their display of pastries. They all looked so appetizing, it was hard to pick just one, but I settled on the pistachio croissant. I also got a waffle and dragonfruit lemonade. My friend got some cold brew and a turkey and egg croissant sandwich. Prices are on par with the area, which is on the higher side. The only thing that was a bit off was the lady who took our order kept trying to upsell the items we bought and asking if we wanted to add x, y, and z. The food here is very good, but a bit pricey. I usually get the gyro salad, which is one of my most favorite foods anywhere. The workers here are friendly and usually attentive, but during a rush (which is most of the time) tend to notice customers less. It is usually very crowded in here, but the space remains mostly clean aside from sometimes piled up dishes in the return bin. Goddess and the Baker is great and we often stop there when we're shopping for a quick drink if we're there in the morning. I was really early to a nail appointment the other day and decided to sit down for breakfast. It was less crowded on a Friday morning than on the weekends, so I was able to get a table easily. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. I had the avocado toast, which was delicious. They did put enough arugula on it that it was basically a side salad, so I would have been okay with less. It is such a cute spot with an extensive menu! read more

This is the second time this year at Goddess I've been greeted at the register with "We're about to close." Both times there were no hours posted anywhere and the hours seem to shift. Without requesting it, our food was put in a to-go bag and it's too cold outside to eat on their patio. We stayed in and were glared at by some staff. Tip for G&B: POST your hours. update: figured out the coffee deal. Regular coffee is cheaper, and you get a cup to fill up. House coffee is a little pricier, and you get a glass pourer pls a cup. This isn't really clear from the menu. Prices are still up there, but I guess you'd walk in if you can afford it. The atmosphere is just too beautiful. Oh, and the carrot cake is $7 but a generous serving, with cream and a flower made out of dried carrot slices. ================= previous review: Sassy vibes, amazing bakery items, delicious/diverse menu choices. People are friendly, the interior is nice and so fun to sit around in. It gives you that I-wanna-sit-and-cozy-up-with-ma-coffee-and-salad feeling. A group of us went in for coffee and sweets. I got to nibble on a few items, and they were truly all delicious - and it's not because I'm keto and deprived of sweets. I'm actually at a really good place and not craving sweets/carbs. The bakery items were perfectly crispy and not overly sweet. Now one caveat. I got a cup of the house coffee, as did many of our friends. Most of us got a paper cup and was told to help ourselves to coffee. One of our friends also got the same house coffee, but wasn't given a cup. They were confused for a while, until they got their coffee in a little glass pourer plus a cup. How unfair! And weird - not sure what the discrimination was from. This would be their take on a chicken gyro sandwich. Instead they make a mixed salad with some vinegar dressing, and then they drop it into a pita bread and call it a chicken gyro. If you were actually expecting a chicken gyro you are probably going to be disappointed with this. This is most definitely a salad. But if you love salad and you love gyros then you'll probably love this unique fusion. It's most definitely for somebody but I don't think it's for me. It wasn't bad, It was just different, and because I was expecting a traditional gyro this threw me for a an unexpected surprise as this was my first time buying this. I've been to Goddess and the Baker on a couple different occasions and have enjoyed the experience. Situated in the Corners of Brookfield, don't be fooled by the seemingly quiet nature of the Corners. We went on a lazy Sunday morning and while the Corners seemed quiet, we entered to a bustling Goddess and the Baker with not a single seat available (fortunately by the time we navigated the line, a couple seats had opened up!). While they have several savory options, the focus seems to be a bit more on the sweet (with baker in the name and all). They have a bakery case brimming with goodness. They also have an expansive coffee menu with several specialty coffees available. On my most recent trip, I enjoyed their turkey bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant. The croissant was lovely and the sandwich was delish. For my coffee, I got their nutella oat milk latte, which was also a delight. As I mentioned, the place was insanely busy but the employee working the register remained kind and unrattled. They do also have some sidewalk seating which we enjoyed on another occasion. All and all a nice little spot in the Corners of Brookfield. Get to it! read more

We were looking for a place to get some light noshes while out running errands and this place was great for that. Quick stop in a nice location by all the swanky Corners of Brookfield shops. The menu was mounted on the wall behind the counter and hard to read. We were told they had paper menus but never were able to find those. In the end, we each ordered a lunch meal which was $12.99 each. They had tap water and cups available behind the ordering counter. I gotta say, the hummus wrap was a flop. It was essentially kale wrapped in a tortilla with dressing. It was supposed to have hummus and beets and avocado and cheese...basically all the things. I did eat it all and the side of fruit was fresh but next time I'd go with a bakery treat. The Whoopie pie, to be exact :) Also, the place was busy and service was good. I really enjoyed my experience at Goddess And The Baker. This was my first visit, and it lived up to my expectations in many ways. I didn't anticipate the menu being so large! It was great to have a variety of food and beverage items to choose from. In the end, I ordered an iced chai latte and a chocolate croissant. I was beyond impressed with both items. The chai latte was more tea-y than milky and the chocolate croissant was HUGE and filled with a gooey chocolate frosting. I paid about $10.50 in total for both items (as of January 2022). That price is only slightly more than ordering from Starbucks and the quality is far, far better. It was also cool to see that if you chose to dine in, your order came in/on reusable dishes. Once you ordered, you were given a restaurant buzzer type deal with your number. (You know what I'm talking about, right?) After you chose your seat, your order was brought out to you. It all felt very bougie. There's also an option to take your order to go, in case you were wondering. The reason why this café is getting four rather than five stars has nothing to do with the food and more to do with the space. Don't get me wrong, Goddess And The Baker is a beautiful place to eat. The décor is so aesthetically pleasing and there is a lot of natural light. But getting more than two seats for your party will be incredibly difficult if you go on a Saturday like I did. When I was scoping out a spot, there were really only single seats here and there. (Also, as a side note, there wasn't any toilet paper in either of the bathrooms.) I was excited to check this spot out - it's been on my list for awhile. It was PACKED to the brim with people but we managed to find somewhere to sit. I ordered the glitter latte (for Instagram, obviously) and the chipotle grilled chicken wrap with fries. We did not have to wait long for our food at all. The coffee actually took longer for us to get - we were almost done eating by the time it arrived. Food was good for the money, nothing super special. Latte was delicious though.
