Coming back here to say I had the Tri-Athlete for breakfast and a side of the Million Dollar potatoes topped with Million Dollar Bacon, delicious! My husband had the eggs Benedict and was somewhat disappointed because he likes a traditional Benedict with an English muffin and Canadian bacon, which they don't offer. This Benedict was made with ciabatta bread and thinly sliced ham. The service was great. We were seated right away on a Sunday morning around 10AM and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I love the large space, ample seating, and the chairs at the two person tables are very comfortable and easy to slide back and forth on the floor. read more

I dined at First Watch with my dad this morning and the service was really good. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us time to look at the menu. I landed on the traditional breakfast w ham steak, 2 eggs over easy , and potatoes. I got what I ordered and a side of grease. I had to wonder if the cook soaked the potatoes and my ham in a pool of grease. The eggs and the toast was the only good thing that I could eat. My dad omelette was made well and was good. I've been to other First Watch around the US , but this location is the only one that I think could be improved upon. read more

Will I ever stop posting about first watch? Probably not because I won't ever stop going to first watch. On our most recent visit, a Sunday for lunch, it was PACKED. And let me tell you, they're professionals at flipping tables and keeping their cool (and kindness) while 25 people are coming to the host stand at once. Needless to say, if you're coming on a weekend, expect to wait, but not too long. We put our name in and popped next door to do a little shopping. Got a text with 15 minutes our tables was ready. Totally kid-friendly with boosters and high chairs. Kids menu has plenty of options. Our little guy wanted a grilled cheese, and it's great it comes with fruit. My husband went for this carne asada special of sorts, which were essentially breakfast tacos, and boy did he love them! I on the other hand wasn't a huge fan of my pick this time around. I went for the sweet honey pecan salad and it was far *too* sweet for my liking. The dressing that is. Especially because it was plentiful. And I know what you're thinking, "well of course lady, it's in the name!" so jokes on me. It was otherwise fresh and filled with good toppings. Probably wouldn't order again. First Watch has had quite the rebrand since I last visited years ago. We had one in my hometown I use to frequent growing up, but I was surprised (and impressed) to see the new design and menu. It's very clean and simple while still feeling welcoming and homey. It was a nice day so we sat on the patio which was lovely. To drink I ordered the honey caramel crunch iced coffee which was seriously a dessert! It's sweet, but not in a sickly way -- it was really good! For my meal I went with the million dollar breakfast sandwich from the fall menu. A grilled english muffin is topped with sausage, bacon, over-easy eggs, Wisconsin Gouda, arugula, and hot honey. The hot honey really tied the sandwich together, and everything tasted so fresh! The potatoes I got on the side were crispy and filling. Brunch perfection! We were in town for a wedding and looking for a reasonably priced brunch spot that could accommodate a group -- First Watch absolutely delivered! They seated our party of 7 with only a short wait, which was impressive on a busy weekend morning. The service was top notch from start to finish: friendly, efficient, and on top of everything. We frequented a location in Arvada, CO when we lived there and it's comforting to step into the Mequon location and receive the same aesthetics and experience. Then out of nowhere Eva came over and said, "I noticed no one has been here, I not your server but I would be happy to get your drink order". She quickly came back with our first round, and we waited and waited again. As Eva walked by again, I stopped her and asked if she could just take care of us. First Watch offers a lot of fresh options, and the service was attentive and quick. The restaurant has a farmhouse feel and is worth the wait during busier times. A nice option they provide during high volume times is the online "join waitlist" feature, which allows you to add your name to the list ahead of your visit, which once you check in at the restaurant puts you ahead of those who simply walk in. First time at First Watch and I'm excited to go back. I tried the pick 2 lunch - got a half sandwich and soup. The tomato soup was pretty spot on and the roast beef with horseradish was delish. Very cute interior - very farm to table. The tables were pretty spaced out and it wasn't too busy at lunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. I came in on a Sunday around 12:50 with my friend. The hostess barely said anything to us. Just, "follow me". I ordered avocado toast, with NO EGGS, since I am allergic, no lemon, and light avocado. In replace of eggs the waitress offered potatoes which I was fine with. Then I ordered bacon and the pomegranate lime drink. Drink was good. Bacon was good. When I received my avocado toast, there was a big egg thing on my plate. I'm allergic to eggs so I'm not exactly sure what it was. Not scrambled. It was flat and what and the yoke was still there. So I asked them to get the potatoes I ordered. There could easily be cross contamination now to my toast. Then they brought the correct order out. A bunch of avocado, but I didn't complain because I can just take some of it off. When I go to pay, I end up paying almost $50. Which leaves me confused because the food I got should be half of that. So I go back inside and ask for a refund because this is not the correct amount. The manager said he would have to refund the whole order, and then I would pay my total. Instead, he randomly tells me to pay the $28(correct amount). Again I am confused because he just told me he would refund the order then have me pay. I've never gone somewhere to get a refund and they don't have me present my card again. I asked him why I was paying this before the refund. With attitude, he then told me that he just canceled the order and is having me pay the actual amount. I am extremely disappointed with the service. The food was not that good. And I'm also not understanding to the fact that I was given attitude when they were the ones that messed up. I didn't get a picture with the eggs because I wasn't thinking. We got takeout breakfast and I was surprised by how well it traveled back to the house. The omlette, for example, that my husband had (bacado) was fluffy and the devoured it. My in-laws similarly enjoyed the chicken pesto quinoa and the multi-grain pancakes. I ordered the granola and yogurt with a side of turkey sausage. The yogurt comes with a sweet muffin, which I don't think is made clear when ordering, though it is pictured in the menu. I don't know if this is on the restaurant or on me since I've had this surprise at a other places, but the Greek yogurt was overly sweet. The fruit mixed in was fresh, but a ohoned-in medly in my opinion- melon in a sweet yogurt takes on a bitter, striking flavor that wasn't entirely pleasant. First Watch is a great "go to" place for good omelets, delectable homemade multigrain bread, good multigrain pancakes plus the variety of pancake types. The strawberry waffle is really delicious.. IWish my waffle had a few more strawberries on top especially since I order it without the powdered sugar. The service is almost always good and it was excellent a couple days ago. It's a good open atmosphere, with comfortable tables & booths plus great place to see or come with friends for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We prefer the Mequon First Watch to those in Virginia , Florida & anywhere else we've gone to this restaurant so far. 5 Stars from our several dining experiences at First Watch in Mequon! read more

Represented as an almost modern, farm-to-table take on an old-school diner, First Watch was a great breakfast find. They had a very diverse and unique menu of items, but I chose to go with the Pork Carnitas Burrito. It was a "can't miss." There was a great balance of flavor, some excellent hints of sweet hidden beneath it all, and a very fair value. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, and I would recommend the Burrito! read more

After a good hike around the lakefront my friend and I needed some refueling. Arrived at the restaurant which is in a strip mall. Therefore maybe 4 tables outside. Inside had plenty of seats. Social distancing was maintained. The wait staff wore mask and gloves. There were sanitizer bottles at the cashier desk. Wait was not too long; only about 5 minutes. First Watch has a large menu with many healthy and traditional options. I got The Works omelet with no cheese and sour cream on the side and some coffee. The ingredients were fresh for both the salad and omelet. The lemon dressing was not overpowering. Just had a hint of lemon. Eggs were not greasy and plenty of filling. Of course I added Tabasco. Two omelets and coffees came to around $32 & change without tip. Atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly . I'll be back. read more

They are following social distancing, and staff was masked. You had to wear masks to your table but could remove it while seated. Also single serve creamers, salt and pepper. I waited 20 minutes for my order and when it finally arrived the potatoes were cold. I did not have time to wait another 20 minutes to send them back so I just ate the egg sandwich. after paying the bill I let the cashier know there was a problem and all they did was make excuses, they did not even apologize for the problem. Strike One: Coffee was lukewarm in the carafe, so waitress had to be flagged to bring hot coffee. Strike Two: I ordered the Chorizo Omelet, which ended up being a Mexican veggie omelet ... not one crumb of chorizo graced the dish. Strike Three: There were four in our party ... three of us got our food, but my wife was orphaned. Waitress didn't check back, and we had to flag another waitress to check on her food -- rough delay overall of 15+ minutes. I've been ... I've dined ... There were a few tables left open in the corner of the restaurant, but our server told us to follow him to a different table on the other side of the restaurant. The table had yet been cleaned. He told us to follow him after seeing it was still a mess and made us wait in the middle of the busy restaurant while he was looking around for a moment. He then told us to go back to the front of the restaurant and then he disappeared without telling us what was going on. As we were waiting, two other couples that just came in were taken to those corner tables that we saw were open when we arrived. The restaurant was full after that aside from the one table that had yet to be cleaned. We decided to leave after they told us it would be very soon that our table would be ready. Was really looking forward to eating here, but the lack of communication and common sense was a bit off putting. I know busy businesses can get hiccups in their work flow, but it could've all been easily resolved if the individuals working there simply just communicated anything to us. We were the only Asian couple there, so that really didn't help the situation look any better either. I'm not saying that the treatment and lack of transparency was race related, but it sure felt like it was.
