The fried chicken and pasta dishes are great . Service is polite. Ambiance is nice clean and decorative. Reminds me of an English pub. Very Nice pice to bring a date, family, friends, or business lunch read more

Close to the Marcus North Shore Theater, The Chancery is a great place to grab a bite before a movie. Family friendly, beautiful bar, good service and good food. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. The chicken, peppers and onions were all tender and very flavorful. The toppings were fresh, with the tortillas wrapped tight to keep them warm. The Chancery was a classic place to eat for a long time, but now this is the only one that remains. Stop in, and grab a tasty bite of history. read more

My first time trying the Chancery! My husband and I both had the BBQ bacon burger! Very tasty but very saucy! I had mine with sweet potato fries! My favorite item though was the cheese curds! Very cheesy, very crispy! I also really enjoyed my cup of decaf coffee (not pictured)! Interior of the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated! Plus we had a kind, fantastic waitress! We will be back! read more

Food is very decent all around. Been here multiple times and it will do if nothing else is open (like on a Monday). But the food always takes forever to come out, and if you eat in the dining room instead of the bar the service is super slow. I got the Greek Pita with side of veggies this time and tried some of the jambalaya as well. The Greek pita really didn't have any flavor to it, however the green beans were actually pretty solid. Jambalaya was decent also. Nothing remarkable about this place read more

Food was good. I had fish fry which is available every day. There tartar sauce was not very sweet and i prefer a sweeter sauce over a dill tasting sauce. I love their coleslaw which has dried cranberries in it. The bloody mary with deviled eggs was great. Server was trying but screwed up more than once including forgetting to bring soup that was ordered to the table. He apologized for his mistakes but still have to ding him for messing up more than once. I think many people don't realize the Chancery still exists. The other locations around Milwaukee and Waukesha and Wauwatosa closed up and people think the chain was gone. It wasn't till about 6 months ago that i became aware that the mequon location was up and running. So if you were a Chancery fan you should head over to Mequon. Building is nice outside and inside. Plenty of parking. read more

I honestly was a bit disappointed with my visit here. As a long time fan of the chancery, I was bummed with all their closer locations to me closing. Since I was in Mequon, I decided I had to stop here for dinner. I've always loved the Zak's three cheese macaroni. I may have overhyped it because I felt like it was just ok. Nowhere near as amazing as I remembered. My boyfriend got the skillet fajitas. He said they were ok but likely would not get them again. Service was fine. Just felt underwhelmed when we left. read more

Okay so I am a soup girl, I liked the chicken dumpling from this place. It had chunks of dumplings that where delicious. I recommend for sure. The Turkey wrap was good as well with a side of sweet potato fries. The place was pretty chill as well it looks like it get pretty busy during the evenings. Also pretty clean restrooms. And a lot of parking also available. read more

I'll never make a pick up order here again! 8 waffle fries for 3.45$, a small cup of soup for 7.95$ and a salad 17.95$ with slim to none chicken or bacon.. 32.49$ completely wasted. Portions sizes completely off! Never again read more

Popular spot on a Friday night. They have an all you can eat fish fry but we didn't go for it. Instead, we ordered a bunch of random appetizers. Our favorite were the Latin rolls and the artichoke dip. The artichoke dip was sooo garlicky and the bread it was served with was softer than a pillow. Lots of people don't know that there is still a chancery in the area. They're missing out! read more

Everything about our dinner at Chancery was excellent! Our server was pleasant and attentive, food was tasty!

A good spot for families where you don't feel too noisy or disruptive. Young friendly staff and a great Buffalo chicken wrap!

Great food, menu changes frequently. Wonderful family atmosphere. I have always found the wait staff to be pleasant and efficient. read more

Kitchen closed early. 20 minutes before 9 o'clock, supposed to closing time, on a Wednesday night and they would not serve us.

While dining at Chancery in Mequon, I found the steak on my salad to be disappointingly tough and difficult to chew. Additionally, the portion size was larger than expected, making it awkward to eat without cutting it down. It would have been preferable if the steak had been placed on my friend's sandwich instead, as my dining experience was negatively impacted by the toughness of the meat." Henceforth I like deep throating meat but i shouldn't have to pay to do so read more

Not as good as they used to be. Service is okay many times but sometimes not. Usually host/hostess have been unimpressive. Food is okay. Has been better in the past. Maybe that is why they are down to one location. Now they charge if you want a side of Mayo for your fries. They should then be charging for ketchup but they don't. If they are going to charge for one condiment they should charge for all as some people can't have certain foods (tomato based) without a reaction and shouldn't be penalized for it. Not in a hurry to return. read more

Just recently ate here last weekend and boy has this restaurant fell off. The service was minimal. The food was beyond under par. I mean with so many options to eat now days either your putting out amazing food or what's the point. I don't like just putting negatives in reviews and this was a place where once people would go for a nice dinner for prom and such. Now it's struggling to reach the level as an Applebees. read more

Terrible service we arrived 4 adults and two children aged 12 and 4 waitress took our drink order brought them and took our food order we ordered a chicken dinner 3 burgers and a grilled cheese and a burger for the kids the food was brought to us with the exception of of the 4 your olds burger the waitress said that will be up shortly 10 minutes later she asked if we needed refills on drinks we asked for the child's burger she walked away with no explanation upon return with the refills we asked again for the now very upset child's food and were told they are melting the cheese on his burger 5 minutes later he received his food no apology no explanation nothing I feel the child's food should have been the first delivered to the table the bill was about 100 dollars we left a 5 dollar tip I normally tip 20 to 30% but the total lack of concern the waitress had will keep me from going to this restaurant anytime in the near future read more

Decent pub food, quick service. I had the make your own burger/sandwich. A good spot for lunch.

Great food but long wait times. Even with empty tables, you will still need to wait a while to get seated.

Great atmosphere and great staff I couldn't recommend pizza anymore love it will be returning. Hostess staff was very friendly and helpful for my accommodations love it read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. It has some positive, and some negative. When we got there we were told the wait was a half hour. It ended up being about 45 minutes which with a 2 year old isn't easy. I get it's busy, it's Friday but most places you go to are more accurate with the time. Not a huge deal but a little bit of a turn off. We finally get to our table and our waitress was awesome. Very friendly, checked in is often, polite and attentive. The food also took some time to come out maybe a half hour. Again, I know it's busy but that is still longer wait then desired. The place is clean, neat, decorations and environment are nice. They crammed a lot of tables into one small area so it felt a little crowded. Maybe opening it up a bit to make everyone not feel so close together. The food was really good though. We got fish fry and it did not disappoint. A for service and food, more like a C for some of those service details. It's a nice place for a family dinner. read more

Average restaurant with great happy hours! Pre covid this was our go to spot for happy hours, they are the only restaurant I know of that has daily HH (yes, even on the weekends!) 3-6 pm with many drink specials AND 1/2 off appetizers. Available in bar only, long list of appetizers so you can easily make it a meal. One downside is their tables in the bar are small with maximum of 4 people (which is a tight squeeze) but the bar is large and has multiple TVs. Servers are always friendly and helpful and their taps rotate frequently. I can't wait to go back once covid calms down. Their food is average, so I wouldn't frequent it if it weren't for the HH. That being said, it's a large kid friendly restaurant with a huge menu to please all. read more

This is my go to Sunday Afternoon Lunch Spot. The menu is diverse from a few Breakfast items to Brick Oven Pizza. By far, my most favorite Sunday Choice is the Friday Chicken Special. The food is piping hot and the sides are fantastic. I love the Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans that accompany the wonderfully seasoned Fried Chicken. I don't eat the entire meal in one setting so I enjoy seconds on Monday evening. It's just as good the second day. My Sisters enjoy the Veggie Burgers and Onion Rings. There are all ages of diners and the Bar is quite busy on Game Day. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy this place. If you're looking for someplace like home, give them a visit. read more

The thing that caught my eye about this place was it's appearance of a hunting lodge. I loved the welcoming feel as well as the hospitality of the employees. After traveling all morning, nothing sounded better than a juicy burger and boy did it hit the spot. I chose mine served with waffle fries and oh by the way, that's not mayo on the burger, it's a garlic spread. I ordered a medium burger, I received a medium burger. The bun was a grilled brioche that stood tall and easily mashed to create the perfect vehicle to devour this massive burger topped with perfectly cooked bacon. The food was decent ($6 nachos and they were huge) and the bartender was really good. The decor is an attempt at rustic which is fine except it is in a strip mall and you can't really forget that. By the looks of the walls, they have a myriad of different specials ranging from weekly (unlimited shrimp on Mondays as an example) to game day specific ($3 burgers, $6 nachos, and drink specials). But the rest of the clientele really put a damper on the experience. Loudmouths watching football and yelling at even the commercials were the least irritating. Even the families with small children who were allowed to roam like a herd of goats weren't the most irritating. It was the people who kept just wandering around and bumping into other people as though they were seeking some sort of Holy Grail of table. They were positively bovine in their habits. Walk two or three steps, bump into a patron with no apology, pet a table longingly, then stop in the lane of traffic so no one can get around them while looking bemused. And then they would repeat the process. This happened repeatedly during our time here. Before anyone takes offense and accuses me of making fun of one type of person, I have to make it clear--there were multiple people who were not in the same group of patrons doing this. They were from various demographics--men, women, elderly, middle-aged, 20's. It was seriously taking clueless behavior to a whole new level. It detracted from what would have been a pleasant experience. The Cajun Bloody Mary is worth the $7.5 price tag. It's spicy in a good way with good overall flavor. read more

Came here for a work event-- going away party for one of our staff.' I showed up not knowing anything about what sort of food they sell. The menu didnt give me a lot of clues as to what they specialize in-- burgers? Fried chicken? Pizza? Pasta? Woodfire salmon? The special that day was fried chicken. Our waitress recommended it and more than half the table ordered it, so I figured it was a safe bet. It took quite a while to come out-- we were warned that would be the case. It was solidly good fried chicken, but nothing exceptional. Came with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy that tasted fresh and well seasoned, and cole slaw that was oddly sweet. Might have knocked them down to three stars but I also tried the vanilla bean dessert and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was only $4. I'd be interested in knowing what ACTUALLY is their specialty and trying that. read more

Great but not spectacular. I walked in. The bar area was straight ahead. I was alone, in the area on business. I ordered the draft root beer. They have great selection of draft beer but I no longer drink alcohol. More for you! The bartender guy was pretty cool. I asked him for suggestions. He belted out a couple and I went with the jumbalaya. Wow. It was great. I forgot to ask for hot sauce, but who cares, it tastes perfect like it was. Plenty of parking. I do not recall checking the bathroom. Would repeat, maybe I would get the fish fry or something like that. read more
