The service and the food are spectacular. I am a foodie and travel for a living. I have tons of opportunities to try great independently owned restaurants. Renards is a standout, the food, atmosphere, and service is fantastic.

    "Dirty martini"

I ordered a dirty martini that did not come out right. I then ordered wine which I got told they were out of then I tried to order another/different wine and they were out of that one too. Our server was really nice and I understand it's not her fault. There was also little fruit flies flying around us at dinner the entire night that just made my food feel unappealing. I ended up barely touching my spaghetti and meatballs. My fiance did like his steak and fries though! He said his drink was fine but nothing fantastic. Probably won't be coming here again.

We made reservations, but when we come in, nobody wait us. At day before we are stop for confirmation: everything ok. Now - nothing.

The Elevens Lounge - The secret is out!

    The Elevens Lounge

Date of visit: May 7, 2025…read more After a very long hiatus, we reassembled the trivia team and did battle at The Elevens Lounge, part of The Annex at Foxtown and were pleasantly surprised overall by the experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot directly outside as well as the lower lot. The space is quite large and in a ] shape, with a mix of low tables and high tops. The low tables are not ideal for eating, I'd recommend grabbing a couple of high tops if you're planning to dine in. Speaking of dining, the food is quite good, if a bit on the expensive side. I went with the French Onion Burger (sans onions, naturally) and even though it didn't say it on the menu, it came with a side of fries that were quite good--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the fries that Five Guys aspires to offer but never quite achieves. The fries were so plentiful I filled up on those and some of my husband's pizza and saved the burger for dinner the next day, which reheated very well and was on a fantastic bun. Service during trivia is always a crapshoot but Quadrea, better known as Q, did his best to keep things moving, though he didn't write anything down and kept forgetting things, which in the end probably slowed things down more than anything. All that being said, we liked the venue and will definitely be back for trivia again.

They had a very nice approachable wine list with some excellent values. The last time we were in it was a bit of a surprise to see only one choice of red for $14 per glass. Next choice was 28 and higher... Most bottles $100 on up. Higher than Napa menus. We were offered the "house" wine... but why bother. Nice selection of Foxtown beers, good pizza and friendly service as always, but with much less expensive quality offerings in the area our visits will be less frequent.... For wine anyway.

Set inside a historic bed and breakfast, The Five20 Social Stop is like something you'd see in a Hallmark movie set in a sweet little town. So welcoming and inviting, we were immediately comfortable. The room is small with vintage rock/stone walls. The antique bar fits the room perfectly. Warm lighting with whimsical decor, the whole vibe is reminiscent of an antique lodge. There were just a few people enjoying the live music - a duo singing classic tunes. They sounded fantastic! Given we are in the middle of a pandemic I was surprised they offered live music and relieved everyone was spaced out. It was my friend's birthday so they sang Happy Birthday along with everyone in the entire pub! I later found out that the singer was one of the owners. The woman at the table across the way was his wife and was the other owner. This husband and wife duo could not have been more gracious and hospitable. I noticed that there was an air purifier right next to our table which made me feel a little better. I wasn't sure I wanted to socialize quite as much as we were doing, but it was my friend's birthday so we kept our masks on and enjoyed a few songs before we headed out. Once the crazy virus gets under control, I would love to come back and stay at this dear little bed and breakfast situated in the heart of downtown on their main street. It would be perfect for a romantic get away, a girlfriend's weekend or a family vacation. I plan on enjoying their authentic little pub every night that I'm there. During warm weather they have a great outdoor patio in the back and offer live music out there. I am very much looking forward to returning because of the quaint atmosphere, delicious cocktails, talented entertainment and kind owners!

The service and the people are very friendly and accommodating. They had live music and it wasn't too loud where you couldn't hear your neighbor. We sang along to some songs and enjoyed conversations with other guests. I would highly recommended stopping in. It's open to the public and not just limited to guests staying at the StageCoach!

This place is somewhat "hidden" a block off the main drag through downtown Cedarburg (Washington…read moreSt.). They have a very large selection of cheeses from Wisconsin, the US, and abroad, with lots of unique offerings. We tried a chicken soup Monterrey jack and a mustard Gouda, both of which we really enjoyed. The chicken soup cheese actually tastes like chicken broth from a rich soup, which was definitely a new experience. The room is decorated and bright, and felt like a great spot to stop on a Saturday afternoon. It's a nice change of pace from the usually-crowded bars through downtown Cedarburg. You should be aware that the tasting room apparently can't serve charcuterie boards themselves because of the class of license (maybe no food service cert.) but they're happy to help you enjoy any of the cheeses you purchased in the store and offer you some wine(s) to accompany them. The bartender graciously offered us some crackers to go with the plate and we were able to put together a satisfying little wine tasting experience! The one thing I would like to see is a few more wines on offer for the wine flights; at the time, they were a bit heavy on sweet white wines, which is just not my taste but may be popular in the area. They also have a cocktail list, beers, and their own brand of several liquors, so there are plenty of options. We will be back for a nice afternoon glass of wine and some cheese. It's also a good source of reasonably priced cheeses and wine if you want to have a picnic at the parks nearby.

One thing that's great about this spot is that they offer all of their drinks as 0 ABV so it makes it super easy and enjoyable for those who are not drinking to still feel catered to and can enjoy a fancy beverage - however I will note that they are as pricey as the cocktails since they use a fancy alcohol in the drinks that is zero proof! Service is super easy ordering at the counter indoors and you can peruse and look at all of the cute curated items, books & records while you wait. The outdoor seating is ample and lovely with their giant striped umbrellas and blue Adirondack chairs as well as other seating options - and fire pits for when the weather turns chilly! Overall love this spot and will continue to pop in when we have the chance.

The decor is adorable. Needless to say will definitely be making the 30 minute drive more often.
