For our main course, we had the lobster ravioli, mushroom ravioli with salmon, roasted chicken, and the wild striped bass. Dessert was ice cream, an olive oil cake, which the server said was underrated but very delicious, and she was so very right. When we were there it wasn't too busy, so you were able to have a conversation at your table without shouting to be heard. I'm not sure how it would be when they start to get very busy. They do take reservation which I think will be needed when it gets popular!!

Walking into Renard's, my first impression was that it had a romantic fine dining vibe and the room was bright. We were seated at a table with four wooden chairs, and unfortunately, all of us found the chairs extremely uncomfortable. For dinner, we ordered the Caesar salad, soup, olive & sausage pizza, crab fettuccine, French onion burger, and fries. The standout for me was the soup--it was flavorful and had a bold lemon taste that I enjoyed. The cannellini beans and kale made it hearty and satisfying. My husband and I were really disappointed by the olive & sausage pizza. We're pizza lovers but this one was overwhelmingly salty--even after we removed the olives, the sauce and ricotta were still too salty to enjoy. We ended up barely touching it. The crab fettuccine had great flavor, but the texture of the crab was not for me- it was crunchy, possibly from bits of shell. The French onion burger was a hit- big, cheesy, and satisfying. The fries were also great, especially paired with the aioli dip.

One thing that's great about this spot is that they offer all of their drinks as 0 ABV so it makes it super easy and enjoyable for those who are not drinking to still feel catered to and can enjoy a fancy beverage - however I will note that they are as pricey as the cocktails since they use a fancy alcohol in the drinks that is zero proof! Service is super easy ordering at the counter indoors and you can peruse and look at all of the cute curated items, books & records while you wait. The outdoor seating is ample and lovely with their giant striped umbrellas and blue Adirondack chairs as well as other seating options - and fire pits for when the weather turns chilly! Overall love this spot and will continue to pop in when we have the chance.

The drinks are all so fun and what's so great is they all can be made zero proof! Plus it's kid friendly as well and most nights they even have some type of entertainment. Our server was amazing! The decor is adorable. Needless to say will definitely be making the 30 minute drive more often.

Set inside a historic bed and breakfast, The Five20 Social Stop is like something you'd see in a Hallmark movie set in a sweet little town. So welcoming and inviting, we were immediately comfortable. The room is small with vintage rock/stone walls. The antique bar fits the room perfectly. Warm lighting with whimsical decor, the whole vibe is reminiscent of an antique lodge. There were just a few people enjoying the live music - a duo singing classic tunes. They sounded fantastic! Given we are in the middle of a pandemic I was surprised they offered live music and relieved everyone was spaced out. It was my friend's birthday so they sang Happy Birthday along with everyone in the entire pub! I later found out that the singer was one of the owners. The woman at the table across the way was his wife and was the other owner. This husband and wife duo could not have been more gracious and hospitable. I noticed that there was an air purifier right next to our table which made me feel a little better. I wasn't sure I wanted to socialize quite as much as we were doing, but it was my friend's birthday so we kept our masks on and enjoyed a few songs before we headed out. Once the crazy virus gets under control, I would love to come back and stay at this dear little bed and breakfast situated in the heart of downtown on their main street. It would be perfect for a romantic get away, a girlfriend's weekend or a family vacation. I plan on enjoying their authentic little pub every night that I'm there. During warm weather they have a great outdoor patio in the back and offer live music out there. I am very much looking forward to returning because of the quaint atmosphere, delicious cocktails, talented entertainment and kind owners!

The only reason this place is not getting 5 stars is because that bathroom was GROSS. Seriously the worst bathroom I've been in ages. I will not go into detail because seriously, barf. Hold it if you need to go while here. Service: Our waitress was friendly and split the bills accurately. She did a great job clearing plates as they were emptied and refilling water too. Drinks: Amazinggggg. They make really great craft cocktails. I would definitely come back here just for the drinks. Our table ordered a bunch of different drinks but the one that really stood out was the Codependant. I don't know if I can recreate that at home but I sure as heck am going to try. Food: We obviously ordered a bunch of plates for the table. The one that REALLY stood out was the whipped feta appetizer. I could eat two plates of that all by myself and order nothing else. An item that was really interesting was the Blueberry Goat Cheese Pinsa, it is literally dessert pizza, super unique flavor combo, everyone liked it. I recommend ordering this to end your meal! The rest of the dishes were good but nothing I would rave about to other people. Next time I'm down here visiting family I would definitely come back for the Codependant and the Whipped Feta app!

I found myself looking for a Friday fish fry close to Germantown so that I could be back by 6:30pm…read more After looking through my bookmarks of places I hadn't been to yet, Crave Bar & Food's pictures intrigued me the most. In addition to the beer battered walleye with potato pancakes I got beer batter cheese curds and a dozen wings. Happy hour is 2pm to 5pm Monday through Friday and, along with having drink specials, select appetizers are $7 each. The cheese curds, which are huge and come as an order of nine, are one of those select apps. The batter didn't have much beer taste and the shredded Parmesan on top seemed unnecessary, but for $7 they were a steal and even at the regular price of $10.50 they're an excellent value. The old pictures I saw of their wings made them look like they were coated in a rub even though the menu didn't state it. Just to be safe, so I could taste the rub if there was one, I got half the wings without sauce and half with honey BBQ. There didn't end up being a rub on the wings, but the sauceless ones were still great. The honey BBQ was bold tasting, yet didn't overpower the flavor of the chicken. Although I enjoyed the wings, $18 for a dozen is on the very high end of what I would pay, especially since they were average sized and not jumbo. The amount of food on the walleye plate blew me away. Even if they gave me just one of the two large walleye fillets, I feel like that would have been about fair for the price. The two huge fillets made it feel like I hit the fish fry jackpot. Similar to the cheese curds, I didn't taste any beer in the batter, but the fillets were good regardless. I prefer potato pancakes that are thin and crispy, but their thicker potato pancakes were great even with largely being soft due to their thickness. I liked the herbs in the potato pancakes and was a big fan of the cinnamon applesauce compared to plain applesauce most other restaurants provide. Throughout dinner I heard some of the hostesses and waitresses stressing about reservations and having enough tables. Apparently I got lucky that a table was available right away when I got there at 4:30pm. I guess call to make a reservation if you plan on coming on a Friday night.

I only have one visit under my belt and I have been torn on a review, but I am familiar with a…read moreregular that tells me my experience is pretty typical of their own experiences. So, very interesting building and space. There appears to be a fun patio area for the summer months and there's a big screen tv that I'm guessing shows sporting events. My review for atmosphere would be 4-5 stars. Unfortunately too much time doing nothing but waiting and looking around killed the visit. I was there on a Saturday at the noon hour. It was not exceptionally busy, especially for the space they have. We were just there to get a coffee and go. Should be in/out in a few minutes right? Wrong, there was one girl managing the counter and two guys visible in the back area. We waited a full 10 minutes at the counter while the girl took one order ahead of ours. I was getting the this is going to take forever vibe and would have left, but we weren't in a hurry and my wife wanted to try the coffee. So once our order was placed and paid for we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for two drinks and a scone. In that time the counter girl certainly kept moving, although not with any deliberate speed. The two guys in the kitchen did not come out to help her at all and when delivering only two plates to tables did so at a snail's pace. The place really wasn't busy, but the staff they had struggled mightily to keep pace. This is similar to what my friend reports experiencing time and again. To give credit the counter person did apologize for the wait time to place our order and apologized again for the wait to receive our order. So the drinks (coffee and a chai) were average and the blueberry scone was on the dry side of mid. All in all, really nice atmosphere and decorations. Maybe a place to bring your own drink in, because you may not get one from them for awhile. Definitely not a good place to stop if you are in a rush to get somewhere else.
