Pretty great wine and food. Once people started to show up though, the service went downhill a bit. An employee even commented they were so surprised so many people were working that night but there was only one server out. The happy hour special was great - try the ricotta flatbread! Adding some menus since they don't have any on their website. Definitely worth the try and seems like a great way to try some more expensive wines that you maybe don't want to commit to with a whole bottle or even a glass. Check it out!!

This place is the bees knees! Wife and I go to the Hollander next store all the time and we're looking for a new place to go to date night. We found the right place! They have the option to order wine from their bar tender, or...self serve machines! Awesome idea. They give you a card, you put it in the machine, it pours your wine, and charges the card they gave you. When you are done, you give them the card and pay what you drank! We also ordered some food and it really was amazing. We had a special flatbread and my god, it was so good. The service was super good and all employees were were wearing masks and following distancing guidelines. This place is perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. We will for sure be back.

Their second location (Wauwatosa was the original location). The owners love wine & people and it shows. They have an ever-changing wine selection by the full, 1/2 or 1/4 glass. Whites, reds, champagne. Spanish, Italian, Napa, French, Chilean, etc. They offer a couple draught beers that rotate and a pretty decent bottled beer selection (not just Miller & Bud - Founders, Dogfish, etc) Cheese, chocolate, flatbread pizzas available to snack. Daily specials available & happy hour The atmosphere is modern with and industrial tweak - the patina of wine boxes & corks are used to tie it all together. Great for date nights & enough seating for groups of 6-12 (bachelorette parties)

    Great cheese plate.

An evening spent at The Ruby Tap is an evening well spent. They have a really fun concept where you're able to self-serve wine out of their tap machines. This makes it truly an experience, instead of just a normal bar. You're able to select different sizes, allowing you to enjoy a full a glass or try many small samples. I enjoyed leisurely sampling many wines while relaxing on their outdoor patio. Great small plates and snacks also add to the appeal of The Ruby Tap. I would definitely recommend trying a cheese board here! The one downside is The Ruby Tap is a bit more expensive compared to other wine bars. However, because of their unique concept I think it's well worth it. I'd love to check out some of their weekday wine specials in the future too!

What an excellent spot to explore wines. Never ever to connoisseur level wine tasting. Let experts like Kelly guide your journey. Paired with delicious flatbreads, snacks, and charcuterie this place is a keeper. I'm only sad I don't live closer.

Date of visit: May 7, 2025…read more After a very long hiatus, we reassembled the trivia team and did battle at The Elevens Lounge, part of The Annex at Foxtown and were pleasantly surprised overall by the experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot directly outside as well as the lower lot. The space is quite large and in a ] shape, with a mix of low tables and high tops. The low tables are not ideal for eating, I'd recommend grabbing a couple of high tops if you're planning to dine in. Speaking of dining, the food is quite good, if a bit on the expensive side. I went with the French Onion Burger (sans onions, naturally) and even though it didn't say it on the menu, it came with a side of fries that were quite good--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the fries that Five Guys aspires to offer but never quite achieves. The fries were so plentiful I filled up on those and some of my husband's pizza and saved the burger for dinner the next day, which reheated very well and was on a fantastic bun. Service during trivia is always a crapshoot but Quadrea, better known as Q, did his best to keep things moving, though he didn't write anything down and kept forgetting things, which in the end probably slowed things down more than anything. All that being said, we liked the venue and will definitely be back for trivia again.

They had a very nice approachable wine list with some excellent values. The last time we were in it was a bit of a surprise to see only one choice of red for $14 per glass. Next choice was 28 and higher... Most bottles $100 on up. Higher than Napa menus. We were offered the "house" wine... but why bother. Nice selection of Foxtown beers, good pizza and friendly service as always, but with much less expensive quality offerings in the area our visits will be less frequent.... For wine anyway.

Set inside a historic bed and breakfast, The Five20 Social Stop is like something you'd see in a Hallmark movie set in a sweet little town. So welcoming and inviting, we were immediately comfortable. The room is small with vintage rock/stone walls. The antique bar fits the room perfectly. Warm lighting with whimsical decor, the whole vibe is reminiscent of an antique lodge. There were just a few people enjoying the live music - a duo singing classic tunes. They sounded fantastic! Given we are in the middle of a pandemic I was surprised they offered live music and relieved everyone was spaced out. It was my friend's birthday so they sang Happy Birthday along with everyone in the entire pub! I later found out that the singer was one of the owners. The woman at the table across the way was his wife and was the other owner. This husband and wife duo could not have been more gracious and hospitable. I noticed that there was an air purifier right next to our table which made me feel a little better. I wasn't sure I wanted to socialize quite as much as we were doing, but it was my friend's birthday so we kept our masks on and enjoyed a few songs before we headed out. Once the crazy virus gets under control, I would love to come back and stay at this dear little bed and breakfast situated in the heart of downtown on their main street. It would be perfect for a romantic get away, a girlfriend's weekend or a family vacation. I plan on enjoying their authentic little pub every night that I'm there. During warm weather they have a great outdoor patio in the back and offer live music out there. I am very much looking forward to returning because of the quaint atmosphere, delicious cocktails, talented entertainment and kind owners!

They have a very large selection of cheeses from Wisconsin, the US, and abroad, with lots of unique offerings. We tried a chicken soup Monterrey jack and a mustard Gouda, both of which we really enjoyed. The chicken soup cheese actually tastes like chicken broth from a rich soup, which was definitely a new experience. The room is decorated and bright, and felt like a great spot to stop on a Saturday afternoon. It's a nice change of pace from the usually-crowded bars through downtown Cedarburg. You should be aware that the tasting room apparently can't serve charcuterie boards themselves because of the class of license (maybe no food service cert.) but they're happy to help you enjoy any of the cheeses you purchased in the store and offer you some wine(s) to accompany them. The bartender graciously offered us some crackers to go with the plate and we were able to put together a satisfying little wine tasting experience! The one thing I would like to see is a few more wines on offer for the wine flights; at the time, they were a bit heavy on sweet white wines, which is just not my taste but may be popular in the area. They also have a cocktail list, beers, and their own brand of several liquors, so there are plenty of options. We will be back for a nice afternoon glass of wine and some cheese. It's also a good source of reasonably priced cheeses and wine if you want to have a picnic at the parks nearby.

The manager stopped by a few times to check on us before it got overly busy, which was also nice. I'm excited to come back here and enjoy the patio when it warms up.
