This place is in a great location on Oakland with really nice large windows on the front end. They're dog friendly which is always a plus and they have water bowls and treats available all around! We happily stumbled on their Live Irish Sessions on the third Wednesday of the month and they were fantastic! It added such a cozy feel to a rainy night. The bartender is quick and friendly and helpful if you're not sure what to order.

I've been to Draft & Vessel twice now and loved both of my experiences. It's a nice quiet spot that hosted an intense game of chess with delicious beer. The Rübæus has me wanting to continue to come back over and over, the tart raspberry flavor of this fruit beer is something to rave about. Thank goodness I live close to this gem, I plan to be a regular here!

    The bar, duh!

This spot is well, spot on. Great ambiance and a truly proper selection of good craft beers. You won't find Miller or Budweiser at Draft & Vessel! You also won't find food, this place isn't about food it's about beer. You will find craft brews and a knowledgeable staff that will get you what you need. D&V is not to big and not to small. It''s just right. Nice comfy and cozy. The outdoor seating is splendid and it really feels like home away from home. Nestled on the main strip off Oakland in Shorewood alley, the place has a special location that makes it a great spot to stop into. The beers rotate often so get here or you may miss something you may not get to try again. D & V is a great spot in Shorewood period!

What an awesome, tiny, super cool beer cafe. What to expect: Friendly knowledgeable service. They're very generous with allowing you to taste what they have to offer on tap (see the pretty cool beer menus above the bar - or check ahead online). If a seats available - you can enjoy a pint and relax. I can imagine that this place will get crowded. It's very welcoming and a place I can't wait to frequent. It's tiny. Like TINY. I expect I'll more likely get beer to go. You can purchase 32 or 64 oz growlers and they do have a selection of special 22oz bottles for purchase. Check em out! What a great addition to my favorite village, Shorewood!!

What an awesome bar! It's tiny. Like.. really tiny. There's actually a sign on the wall that says "Max Occupants: 12". So you'll be lucky to grab a bar seat, but it's also super cozy and cute. I can't think of anything else in Milwaukee I could compare it to. They've got a great selection of craft beers, many of which you'd have a hard time finding anywhere else. They also sell growlers at a decent price. I took home a 64oz growler of a white IPA for $20 - $5 for the growler itself and $15 to fill it. Not bad. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the beer was great. I only wish I lived closer. I'll be back!

Okay this place is AWESOME. Been here several times in the past couple weeks and every experience has been great. They've got a great selection of 20 different taps that rotate weekly. Not only do they fill growlers to go but the growlers don't have to be theirs!! This is a rarity with places like this so kudos to them. The inside is a small, cozy space with communal benches and bar seating. The decor is awesome- the owner said everything in the place has been refurbished. If you look at the bar it's actually on old crates and I think all the wood used in the place is from an old farm. Last thing I want to comment on is the Girl Scout Cookie pairing that I went to this week- such a great concept! For $20 we got 14 cookies and over 2.5 pts of reallllllly delicious beer. The pairings were all great but my favorites were the peanut butter cookie and raspberry fruit ale and the Samoa and sticky toffee pudding ale. Definitely was feeling good when I left. The owner is a great guy, very knowledgable and super friendly. If you haven't been here yet you need to stop by!

Draft & Vessel has finally expanded! I was looking forward to their expansion for months leading up to it. How exciting to now be able to bring groups to my favorite bar! Upon arriving to the newly reassembled bar we were so excited for all the new tables and not having to push through people to get to the bar and back to your table or back out the door. I really love this place. They have the best taps and bottle selection around. And now a rotating cider and mead tap!! Plus wine on tap! Plus puppies!!! They allow puppies inside so you can have booze and all the puppy love your heart desires. Seriously how can you go wrong? Once they get a bottle chiller for their wall of upscale bottles this place will be unbeatable.

Date of visit: November 20, 2025…read more We had not been here in years, but came with some friends for the Milwaukee County Historical Society trivia. It definitely seemed that the staff here were simply not prepared for the volume of people that came out to celebrate the area and support the Historical Society. Emma, our server, was definitely trying, but not always succeeding, neglecting to enter in some parts of the order until far later into the evening (our friends didn't receive their order of garlic bread for about 45 minutes after their entrees were delivered) though oddly enough, she was always ready to bring someone another alcoholic beverage. Thankfully the food I had was pretty good, the grilled cheese sandwich paired well with their tomato bisque soup--I took a chance on the soup not being a traditional tomato soup fan (Campbell's? Gross!) but I found Three Lions version to be hearty and flavorful, definitely a combo that I would get again in the future. I would just come on a night when they could keep up with the crowds far better! Pro tip: Ask for croutons for the soup, they elevated a good soup to an amazing soup.

I stopped on a random Sunday afternoon, most patrons were sitting at the bar area watching football and there was another group of several people off to the side. You scan a QR code to get the up-to-date list of all available beverages, and it is quite the list. You order beverages and food right at the bar. It was not overly busy so everything arrived quickly. I had a sour beer from Minnesota, I do not recall the name but I LOVED it and it was, of course, the very last one in stock lol. Ordered the corn ribs and chicken tenders appetizers. The corn ribs are so creative and delicious - the elote sauce is seriously addictive. Chicken tenders and fries were also very good, the tenders were quite large and had a cripsy, light outside and cooked to perfection. Foxhole offers daily specials and activities like bingo and trivia during the week. Overall it is a really fun, laid back vibe (fire pit and seating outside, there's even a free arcade machine!), and I look forward to checking out the daily specials in the very near future :)

It felt like a fancier bar, more than just the classic tavern style every Milwaukee bar is serving up. Fully loaded beer/drink menu. We sat outside since it was beautiful out. Our server was very attentive, and knew everything about the menu. The burger was delicious, with perfectly melted cheese. You can taste the quality in the meat and cheese. It started out fantastic, but after we received our food, we were never checked on again and actually had to literally chase down our server to get the bill. Outside there were three tables of people, one large group who was waiting for the baseball shuttle and just drinking. Two larger tables were set up as reserved inside. They slowly filled as we ate our meal. And one other table of two came in after us. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. All this to say, it wasn't crazy busy by any stretch. We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food. So, all in all, not the worst dining experience ever, but not the best. Being ignored is never fun.
