Finally got around to trying Voyager, as I've heard the ambiance is amazing. They were so correct!! The hippie, plant vibes just instantly relaxes you when you walk in. Voyager sets up tables outside in the summer but I love coming here in the winter because the atmosphere is so warm and cozy. We arrived around 6:15pm and it was already quite busy! You order drinks at the bar and I also grabbed a selection of cheese from the cooler. There isn't a "food menu" per se but they have a whole cooler full of cheeses, salamis, olives etc. and you can bring your items to the bar for cutlery and a tray. The wine by the glass, carafe or bottle selection is great and there are always fun wines to try! We love Voyager and will keep coming back! read more

This beautiful bar is a hidden gem in the bayview area. The walls are covered in beautiful and interesting wines and lots of greenery. Happy hour is from 2-5 every day and we managed to snag a delicious carafe of rose for this sunny Sunday. The menu features a variety of wines and cocktails as well. The owners are present as they tend bar and create new events, often with a focus on supporting local. Their new Saturday outdoor market will continue through the summer and it's definitely on my list to come back and check out. I stopped into the Voyager for a couple of drinks on a balmy Monday night in March. With a modern, European vibe, Voyager was my kind of place. After a couple of vodka cocktails, I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine as I will do what I can to support local businesses. The patrons appeared to know each other, and they weren't particularly kind to strangers. Of course, my age doesn't encourage warmth from younger members of the human race. In this country, older people are scorned rather than revered. Maxwell was our bartender, and he was polite, attentive, but not very warm. Although, his warmth was awarded to others at the Voyager bar. I ended up buying a nice Chardonnay to take home. I tipped 20% on everything including the wine, but that didn't appease Maxwell. I was a stranger in a strange land. However, I liked the Voyager, and I will return with expectations for a good drink and nothing more. The Voyager likes its locals to be between 25 and 38. This is a great place to come with one or two other people to sit and chat and drink wine if you like any type of wine. If you're like me and like the sweeter wines such as Moscatos, this might not be your favorite place. They did have some "sweet" wines that I was able to slowly (and I mean slowly) drink and manage to finish a glass of but it wasn't what I would have preferred. This is my first visit to Voyager and I will definitely be back! The inside is so cute and inviting. There is a large bar and several small tables for seating. It would be a great place for a date night or catching up with your friends. Everyday there is a happy hour from 2-5 pm where house wine is $7 a glass or $11 for a carafe, all other wines and cocktails are $3 off at that time as well. Man, do I love this place. It's just perfect. It's exactly what I want a wine bar to be: great wine, great prices, great ambiance. The space is very small (only a handful of tables), but very cozy. The staff is very knowledgable about their products, and honestly just great to chat with! They have happy hour with house wine for $7/glass or $11/carafe. And let me tell you, you want the carafe (it holds about 3 glasses of wine, so it's definitely worth it!). Voyager also has a build-it-yourself charcuterie board station. You can select any items for purchase - crackers, cheeses, olives, gherkins, you name it! You can buy as little or as much as you want. I've never seen another place that is set up this way, but it's just so charming! Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place. I really want to love this place. Great location. Super cute inside. But I can't support their Covid fee. I understand the need to clean and disinfect. I am more than willing to pay a service fee for this to help the business provide a safe environment for all. But a 9.9% fee added to the bill for "in house consumption" to Covid clean? That's insane. You can't tell me that a $50 bill incurs more cleaning than a $10 bill. Charge a $2.00 fee per person. I have only ever gone here for happy hour and I absolutely love it! The prices during happy hour are fantastic and each time I've gone, they offer a variety of red, rose, and sparkling wines. It's a cozy place to sit and unwind with friends and the staff is extremely welcoming. If you have any question about the wines on the menu, they're more than happy to fill you in on the origins and all of the flavor hints and notes to expect. The food/bar snacks offered are meant to be a compliment to the wine rather than the main event, so make sure you're not starving when you walk in! The inside isn't huge, so I would imagine it fills up quickly later in the evening, but it's a great spot to hit before dinner if you're looking for a comfortable place to relax. I am so glad this space is in Bay View! I'd been in and out with friends during various neighborhood events, but last week had the chance to stop in for a proper drink! The vibe is excellent - chill, while still lively. The bartender (Ryan) was absolutely fantastic. I am both picky and not knowledgable about wine, and he was able to make a selection (non-sweet, non-dry, sparkling prosecco) that absolutely met what I wanted - this is exceptional. He also maintained an ongoing conversation with my friends while providing exceptional service! The owner is friendly and supervises without being awkward or overbearing. I do wish there was a bit more in the way of food - or at least a bit more in the way of gluten free snacks (maybe just add the option of gluten free crackers to the charcuterie plate?). The happy hour oysters were a great size and the sauces were truly great. Just one thing, can you turn the f---ing music down just a bit so your patrons can carry on a decent conversation!!!! Beautiful new wine bar right where it should be, an excellent addition to the neighborhood, long overdue. When you're in the mood for a glass of wine and want to try some great ones, this is the place to go when you're in this part of town. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back. Our second server was knowledgeable and made great suggestions (our first server admitted he knew absolutely nothing when we asked him for recommendations and he went and got the other server to answer our questions). The bathroom selection is interesting - two WCs. No Men's, no Women's - just WC on each door (see photo). We did not try any of the food, so I can't say if this place is good for vegetarians or vegans. As I was walking out I glanced at the menu board and thought it said something about oysters, and they don't yet have a menu posted on the web anywhere I could find, but a newspaper review said, "...cheese and charcuterie, a few pates and snacks including marinated olives and spiced nuts."
