Their location, situated at the end of the strip, made finding parking a breeze. The staff was helpful in the selection process and came back to the table to ensure everyone was enjoying it. Even after we settled on a Boudreaux Blanc, the staff, hearing I wasn't the biggest fan of whites, came back to offer me a sample of a red he thought I may enjoy. He was 100% right. They have ample outdoor seating which we utilized this evening. Luckily this evening, the villages 4th of July festivities were also happening so we had some live music to enjoy as well. Finally, while they put together a tasty charcuterie board themselves, they also team up with other village establishments to offer more food options that can be delivered right to your table at Vintage 38. Tonight we needed something a little more so went with a pizza. It's a great option to enjoy a perfect evening in the Greendale village.

The parking lot is quite small and the place looks decent but can fill up quickly given the craft-focused tables. When I stopped in, there were only 2 servers - one at the bar, the other cooking and running food out. The bar service was very slow and no apology or anything for the 10 minute wait for a glass of wine. The food was okay but a little underdone on the tots. However, you could tell he was trying and hustling to get things out. The place felt warm and balmy and it just doesn't seem worth the prices they have to hang out here for more than an hour or two. I'm in no hurry to go back, but maybe would check out one of the other event nights and see if it's a bit less busy.

There's a large lot behind the building that is shared with the driving range, The Y and the orthopedic center. Some parking is allowed along the street in front of the building but that was full. There's plenty available which is always a nice problem to have. I really liked the industrial design inside. It still felt cozy in spite of what is generally considered harsh. The dark wood and metalwork made a giant space feel smaller, in a good way. It wasn't terribly busy on the night we visited so the service was excellent. There were plenty of staff on hand as well, so I can't imagine that the service isn't also great on busier nights. Where I felt let down was in the food itself. The artichoke dip appetizer was my favorite thing. We also ordered a pizza to share and, while it wasn't awful, it wasn't that good. It WAS perfectly cooked, but nothing had flavor. The crust was blah, the sausage tasted like nothing, the pepperoni was crispy and the jalapeno peppers were mild enough, but still the only thing I could taste on the pizza. A little salt would go a long way in the dough, and maybe switch to a seasoned sausage. Hopefully they can improve on the flavors and seasoning, because this really is a nice sit-down pizza place.

He stated that brand (Everfresh) stamps the expiration date on the bottle in a code. So I purchased the item giving cashier benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't sell expired juice. I got home and took a small sip and it tasted weird. So I googled the company and expiration date code on the bottle and it expired in June of 2025, over a year ago!! I then dumped it out and Called Ayria's liquor store (s 27th st). The guy was nasty on the phone so I drove up there with the empty bottle. The older gentleman then made a big deal that the bottle was empty and I explained to him that it was expired, so I dumped it. He reluctantly gave me my money back, but never apologized for selling expired products. I even asked do you carry another brand, because I would've still purchased another brand to patron his small business. He snarly replied, "NO, we only have that one and they're all expired". I grabbed my refund and just shook my head as he didn't need to escalate that situation. I was understanding that things happen, but after that gross display of customer service I won't be giving them my continued business. There are plenty of other liquor stores near by. BE AWARE of expiration dates if you choose to shop here. Sad because I did patron this business often and I even frequently sent people there to patron them. I will no longer send people to that business or patron it myself. Also sad because I never had issues with the younger cashiers that worked there.
