    White wine flights!
    Alex S.

The cutest little wine shop! Nestled in the Greendale Village, this a must stop for wine and beer lovers alike. The owner hand selects each product that is served, including the "nibbles", a variety of cheese and charcuterie. If you're hungry for more, nearby restaurants will walk over and deliver! Wine is served by the glass, as well as flights so you can enjoy trying a variety. There are a few great cocktails as well; the Spanish gin & tonic is a must try. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions. Plenty of seating inside and when the weather allows, there are tables outside. One of my favorite spots in the 'burbs!

I'd say closer to 4.5 but I love the ambiance of the place. Very great date night place. I think the wine flight is the best for two people whereas if you have 4 or more then I'd settle on one bottle between all. It isn't cheap but it is a wine bar so what do you expect. The crowd is a good add to the place bc the other patrons are going to be relaxing & not too loud. Fun place.

Nice casual wine bar with a good selection and laid back staff. I've never been here when it's busy, but the service is just right when it's empty. Prices are fair, and the location is excellent, the downtown area of Greendale offers lots of eating, coffee, and shopping choices. You get a kite, dog cookies, a rare baseball card, a piece of pie all on your way here to have a couple of glasses of chilled cava. Which is what I had so I could daydream about Barcelona.

We were a group of 13 and we were excited to get the night started here with a tasting. The wine was fantastic, I discovered some new favorite cheeses as well, and the chocolate was delicate, beautiful, and melted in your mouth. If you have not done tasting here you really should give it a try. It would make for the perfect date night, even. My favorite wine was 2018 Bodegas Nekas El Chaparrall Garnacha, my choice for cheese is Luna (Apline/Gouda Blend from WI), and the Gray Salt Caramel Truffle won my vote for best chocolate. The staff takes you through each grouping prior to your tasting providing background information as well as why the 3 items pair well together. I would have given a 5 star rating, but towards the end of our visit we waited for a significant amount of time before getting information on the 3rd pairing because another party had shown up. With only a staff of 2, they were not able to get that party started and come back to us without many of us wondering what was taking so long.

The pre-order and parking lot pick-up option is a great time saver. This is especially important, because this is the area where Total Wine struggles - there are never, ever enough people working the registers and the lines to check out almost always suck. If they could be a little more mindful of that up front, they'd be a five star store.

This morning I ordered wine gifts online, picked up the first order in-store, and a few hours later re-ordered a couple more bottles after confirming the second recipient drinks wine. My wife (we're a married same-sex couple) was out running errands, so I called the store and offered to provide any information needed to prove it was my order (order number, details from the morning pickup, etc.). Staff refused, citing Wisconsin state law against 'third-party' pickups. Even after I explained she is my wife, they became combative and insisted she could not pick it up unless she had the exact same last name. They offered no solutions whatsoever, no option to cancel and re-order, nothing. Their employees were no help at all. What a complete waste of time today. To top it off, the bag they gave me with my first pickup was ripped and unusable when I got home. That was the last straw. We will never shop at Total Wine again. There are plenty of liquor stores in Wisconsin that actually value their customers. Total Wine feels too big and corporate -- it's all about the dollar, not the customer. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere and supporting local businesses instead. Extremely disappointed after years of loyalty. Instead, I highly recommend shopping at local spots like Downer Avenue Wine & Spirits (great selection and friendly service on the East Side) or Otto's Wine & Spirits (multiple convenient locations with solid inventory). They've been much more helpful in the past.

Gregory helped us navigate where to find the couple of bottles we were looking for as well as make some suggestions along the way. He also offered to print out tasting sheets of the bottles we were purchasing for when we open them to enjoy. It was fun to see the staff pick signs for extra recommendations. I have tried and they won't ship it to Chicago either. Usually I bring 2 or 3 bottles back when I travel to AZ, CA and TX. Since we were driving. I was able to buy a whole case. Who Hoo, this should hole me over a few months until my next trip west. For other fun things, I restocked on my mini liquors for back home as you can purchase individual minis in Chicago either. Boo!!! All in all, great store. If you buy more than 6 bottles you get 10% off. Check this total wine out.
