I've become less of a beer guy since my college days, but I couldn't resist the urge to pick this up. Even though I find them to be real hit or miss, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. What caught my attention was the interesting looking design on the can of a sasquatch-like creature with a jack-o'-lantern head. It didn't even occur to me until much later that the name of the beer was not Sasquatch, but Sasquash. If you're as slow as me, it's a nice play on words that combines squash (pumpkin) with sasquatch (as in the mythical creature) into the name of this brew. I had a difficult time finding background information on this specific beer, but sources indicate it is made with both pumpkin and pumpkin spice. It is a Viena style lager that comes in at 6% ABV. Personally, I found it to have a light pumpkin flavor and it was a tad too bitter for my preference. The Sasquatch/Bigfoot may have achieved a legendary status, but this pumpkin lager is just okay . Friend had the blackberry sangria which was tasty but a little too sweet for me but I'm not a big sugar person. Another person had the Mai Bock. They start you off with complimentary pretzels and a cheese dip. Love it!!!! We had the nacho platter which is HUGE and it won't reheat well so bring your appetite. We all shared the prime rib sandwich which was good but let's talk about the loaded hash browns. They are like stepping into a church basement with gooey cheese and onions... It's just plain good comfort food. I highly recommend because you can get fries anywhere. Service was friendly and quick. Even the owner came out and asked about our meals.
