The bartender who when asked her name was "the owners daughter" was incredibly rude. I've been going to this place for about 5 years and this is been the first time I've had her bartending, she didnt hand my card back to me the first time, so I had to come back and asked if it was there and she said "I already gave it to you!" in a shouting completely rude manner. and when asking upon another bartender, he then gave me my card back, and he's always been nice. I don't know why she treats customers this way because I've alway really loved it here but now will never come back. She seemed like she had been doing too many shots with her friends! very sad even after tipping well lol! read more

tl;dr townie bar with amazing pizza place inside! This place is the best version of a divey and townie bar - as it has the cheap drinks and friendly bartenders, but is cleaner and more put together than a lot of others. There are two main reasons you'll see me here, as many things are very nice, but fairly average at this bar: 1) I live pretty close by 2) It has some of THE BEST thin crust pizza I've ever had here This sportsball-inclined bar has amazing pizza from Vinchi's (see my separate review of the pizza place for more explanation of this)... as it operates out the Bubbler kitchen and you can only pay with cash there. The Bubbler has plenty of regulars and friendly faces and you can get some other decent food on the menu, but I'm there for the pizza and a beer or two when I'm really craving some za. read more

I stopped here for a beer and ordered a cheesesteak sandwich from the pizza place in back, it's all in the same building. The bar is one of those friendly neighborhood dives where the bartender and patrons are friendly and welcome strangers and make them feel at home, not a clicky place. The bar has a few taps that's not all domestic which was great for me and I had some beer that was not bad but I can't remember what it was called for the life of me. The bar itself is long with a big circular end as you walk in and some tables and chairs on the left as you walk in. The place has plenty of tvs and a great sound system connected to it. My pizza place experience was not as good as my bar experience because they were totally opposite but I did enjoy the bar aspect of my visit. read more

The prime reason to head into the Bubbler is Vinchi's Pizza which is outstanding and 5 stars. Otherwise, the Bubbler is your standard townie bar. It's casual, comfortable and cheap. As a nod to the BV hipster population they do have a pretty good tap list but most people are drinking macros. Nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, they do have a jukebox and that shit is cranked up to ear-splitting levels. Some other patrons seemed to be making it their mission to play the worst music ever created on our recent visit. Hopefully that person won't be there on your trip. read more

Great spot, not as "divey" as you would think because it's clean and better lit. Drinks are cheap, bartenders have been fun and friendly on my visits, and a guy rents out the kitchen selling pretty good thin crust pizza under the name "Vinchi's." Bottom line: lively towny bar with good pizza We went here on a Thursday around 6:30 and I was really surprised how many people are there. There's a large bar with friendly staff and delicious pizza. Instead of music when we were there they had on Family Feud which was fun and different then your usual bar tunes. We'll be back for sure. The bar takes credit cards but the pizza joint does not. So make sure to bring cash if you are in the mood for some za. read more

This is the kind of place that when you walk in during happy hour everyone's head swivels to you. Definitely a locals joint. It's not exactly a dive bar, just well-worn. We hit it at a little after 5:30 one evening and it was pretty full already with no signs of slowing down. The bartenders were, like a lot of local joints, efficient if not overly friendly (and why would they be, they didn't know us unlike the bar full of regulars). Cheap drinks, really solid specials, no-frills, and Vinchi's... are you kidding me? That pizza is the shit, dudes. Sub pepperoncinis for mushrooms on the supreme and I'm in business forevermore. Good drink selection, really great bloody Mary's and quick service. And if you are hungry, you absolutely have to have a vinchis pizza, I think it's the best in Milwaukee. It was our last stop of the night and it was late when we stopped in, but I remember chatting with the bartender, who was friendly and cool, and I liked the vibe and decor of the place. We had just come from Planet Marky, which I didn't care for very much, and The Bubbler was definitely a notch or two above that, in my opinion. I really like this place. Think of it as your basic Southside tap with better beer. Every time I've been here I've had a great time. The patrons are friendly (sometimes too much so. There was a drunk old man yelling at everyone that came through the door. I worked in service industry now i am a city buliding inspector and have never felt so disrespected after tipping him if he was my employee he would be made an example of. We went to check out "The Bubbler" this past Saturday Afternoon. This Bay View neighborhood bar is situated on Howell Avenue just south of Oklahoma. We were able to park on the street not far from the entrance. At first glance the bar seems small, however, upon entering is quite spacious. We were greeted by the fun and outgoing bartender Justin. The Bubbler has a great selection of beer and libations. Flat screen TV"s had all the Saturday sports available for viewing. When hungry food can be ordered from Vinchi's pizza located inside the Bubbler. We had intended on trying the Steak Sandwich that had been recommended from friends, however, we decided on the pizza. We ordered a medium pizza which was a thin crust, sweet tomato sauce, fresh italian sausage and onion pizza. VERY GOOD! Had some left-over to take home, great value for the $$. We will return to the Bubbler in the future! read more

A VERY disappointing visit, which is not their norm! Stopped in to order their yummy Bloody Mary and received an eye roll and a "well we're busy, but okay!" From both the owner and her bartender daughter. You're a bar in Milwaukee, WI!!! This should be a compliment not a nuisance! Grow your clientele instead of catering only to your regulars who require a bottle of beer. It's part of the darn biz!
