Not my vibe. If you aren't a local you aren't welcome here. 5 years ago, I got married. We came to the bar for after drinks. The owner was present. He did not provide us with any positive vibes like welcoming the wedding party. He also charged us for every drink we had. We have not been back since. Camp Bar is the place to go when in cedarburg. I spent hundreds of dollars at this establishment over the years, always tipped generously and never did anything wrong. I spent an entire night there after country in the burg and spent close to $100 only to be tossed out the very next night with no explanation. They have concocted a straight up lie about me as to why they kicked me out, that defames my character. Sometimes they have let me in and other times they have forced me to leave. I left an honest review about them defaming me and kicking me out when I've done nothing wrong and they turn around and block me. I have remained silent on this for over a year and I'm tired of it. I have repeatedly asked the owner for the so call video footage that exists of me doing what they claim I've done, and it's met with silence. Absolutely ridiculous for a business to make up lies about someone and kick them out just to appease a group of regulars. Shame on you North 48. read more

My husband and I went in there tonight for a couple of drinks. There were three other people there at that time (a Monday night) and the bartender with long red hair behind the counter. She did not look up when we walked in but was on her phone. No greeting, no acknowledgment of any sort. We took a seat near the bar and after 10 minutes, we left. Would not go back there...I understand as I live in a town that is full of tourists in the summer but that is how you support your business. Not friendly at all. read more

This place was pretty cool. Loved the environment and decor! The service was fast. The drinks were awesome also. I'd say average prices. . Since I already had Covid I don't really have a problem with it, but I will mention that coming from out of state it was definitely way more relaxed as far as the pandemic goes. Workers and people going in and out didn't have masks. The bartender was eating finger food between making drinks no handwashing in between or anything. Again I wasn't too mad about it because I had it. But for the others who might be sensitive to the pandemic they might wanna know that part. Also it's flu season anyways right? tl;dr Great local beer, tasty handcrafted cocktails, homey northwoods environment, cool and casual conversation, and best of all, excellent prices. There are plenty of bars and taverns in downtown Cedarburg, but none have the vibe (casual, cool, clean) of North 48. The northwoods cabin motif is respectfully played out and homey (nothing kitschy here). Service here is spot on. Whether you're being served by owner Tom, or any of the other bartenders, you'll never have to wait or have to flag them down for their attention. Each cocktail is squeezed/crafted fresh in front of you, your water will always be full, and they'll happily provide advice on your next beer. Oh, when I saw squeezed, I mean it. There is a juicer right on the bar, with their beer fridge stocked with lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit and more. The seating areas are comfortable, ranging from tables and chairs to sofas and coffee tables next to a fireplace. There is also a back patio, but I didn't get a close look. There are a few TVs inside, with full sound during games. Oh, prices. This may be a tourist town, but you'll be charged as if you're in a townie bar. Our first tab was three craft beers and a craft cocktail for a total of $18. There's no food here, but the focus and effort they've put on everything else makes up for that. I kinda wish there was a popcorn machine or better yet, sell bags of popcorn from Cedarburg Popcorn Company, but... they do have a special food hookup for those with a hankering. This is without a doubt my favorite spot in Cedarburg. Most importantly, They have a great tap beer selection and mix amazing drinks. Their margarita recipe is the best I've had in Wisconsin! If you aren't into margaritas, that's okay... but if Cassie is bartending, I don't care if you're not into margaritas, get one. She's the best (see pictured). I love that they have a spacious outdoor patio that is dog friendly. They do not serve food but you can grab takeout from any of the restaurants nearby and carry in. Finally, they host the Cedarburg Pedal Tavern which is a great addition to our small town. Top-notch establishment! read more

Highlights: - Excellent craft cocktails; bartenders are squeezing fresh juice, muddling and everything. - Atmosphere: chill with the bar up front and some seating in back with deer heads and sleds on the wall. - Music: eclectic all over the place in a good way. You could hear country, an 80s pop tune, and Tom Jones back to back. - Sugar bush: tasted like fall. Drinks were great but there was a bartender Mary Beth who was sassy and snarky. She played screamo music and did not pay attention or cater to what the crowd wanted. She was not very nice at all. Beautiful environment but everyone was complaining about Mary Beth the bartender. We had a group of 10 and nobody had a good thing to say about her. Cassie and Jordan are super friendly..Cassie truly goes above and beyond..perfect bloody Mary's great TVs but I really dont want to hear during a bucks game that a bartender really doesn't want to be there cause its dead and she was at a friend's pool!! This place was absolutely terrible!! We ended up leaving because we never got served. It was 2pm and we had a member of our group go to the bar to get drinks and everyone at the bar that got there after her got served. It was not busy! I mean everyone. The super rude male bartender (short black hair) did not once make eye contact! After a serious 10 minutes a second member of our group went up and asked what was happening. He told her very snarky and under his breath that he was serving and the line and that she didn't understand how patience works. Completely belittled both women who were trying to order. Another woman who was at the bar (not from our group) even asked if we had gotten served or even spoken to.. it was obvious that he was purposely ignoring the woman from our group. I am fuming!! Nice bar in downtown Cedarburg if you're looking for a good drink. The servers were really knowledgeable and nice. More importantly, the drinks were great. The Fermentorium Double IPA is well balanced and worth a try! The atmosphere is comfortable and good for groups. They also have TVs in case you want to watch a game. Yes, there are no taps yet, but as an underage customer, this restaurant is a friendly environment for all ages, even when they do get their 48 hand crafted beer taps in. The walls are covered in art featuring some of Portland's greatest sites made by local artists.
