The first thing you notice when entering the restaurant is an outgoing, energetic Lady who greets everyone who comes thru the door. Once seated the staff attended to our needs immediately. The menu was extensive offering numerous selections from various cultures. We were seated near the owner, Bunhom Khotakoon. As good as the food was Bunhom was the highlight of the evening. Watching her run this fine establishment was a joy to see, her attention to every detail was apparent and comes from decades of running such a fine restaurant. We had a second occasion to go out to dinner, and all agreed we wanted to return to Thai. This time we asked Bunhom to surprise us. This was the right decision. The food she had the kitchen staff prepare was amazing. I can't say what we enjoyed more, every dish checked all the boxes when it came to satisfying our taste buds. The Thai tea was an added surprise; the taste was not only delicious but exotic to boot. Being from Louisiana we know good food and appreciate spicey cuisine, Thai Spices Restaurant exceeded our expectations. I know where I'll be dining when I return to Lodi. Well done Bonham and the entire Thai Spices' team. Ted McIntyre II

Has a nice upper casual atmosphere, the people are always so welcoming. The owner greets us with a smile every time! The FOOD! I recommend this place to literally everyone I know. Thai food is one of my favorites and Thai Spices is a testament to that! I love that they have all sorts of protein options. Of course plenty of chicken, beef, pork and tofu but also seafood like fish, shrimp, scallop and also duck and lamb! Tonight we started off splitting a large Singha, which will fill up 2 very chilled beer mugs. We then got the Pad See Ew with Beef. The beef was cut so thin and was so tender. The dish was savory and we even used a bit of white rice to soak the rest of the sauce up! We also got an order of the Red Curry Duck, again the meat is sliced thin and is super tender. Cooked in the red curry with bell pepper and bamboo shoot. Then an order of large white rice. The spices on the side are so tasty too and so fun to experiment! This is an excellent date spot, a friends night out, and I've seen large groups and families here too. We will be back!

We were in town for wine tasting and hadn't had Thai food in a while, so we decided to stop by. What can I say...? Same great iced Thai coffee, deliciously fresh spring rolls, and the green curry couldn't have been better. We didn't see too many veggie dishes on the menu, yet at my wife's request, the kitchen made her fresh green beans in a garlic sauce. Thats right - fresh crisp green beans with plenty of "crunch" in a velvety garlic sauce. The prices are very reasonable considering today's crazy economy and we took food home! This is a family run business and the care and attention to customers is worth giving Thai Kitchen your support. We understand that they will be moving soon (just two storefronts away from the current location) and will have more room for more clientele. Judy and Sonny are very welcoming and personable. We wish them great success in the new location and we can't wait to be back to check it out!!!

If they had a different vegetarian dumpling flavor to choose from for a little variety, that would be awesome, but for now I'm well pleased with what they do have. We have thus far only ordered take out, and have not dined in. I've tried and liked the vegetarian versions of the egg roll, potsticker, dumpling, and steamed bao so far. The bao veggie filling is different than the dumpling filling, and it's very delicious. They have standard Chinese dishes in addition, but I have not ventured far into the rest of the menu. Unfortunately I cannot as of yet share whether any of this, or the dipping sauces are vegan friendly. Hopefully on a future visit I can find out and report. The dishes I have so far mentioned are vegetarian friendly. Not sure on the dipping sauces. Possibly? The price is pretty decent for what you get. One order of bao or dumplings is plenty for two people. They are about $13 each. I like how the takeout containers come in a reusable canvas bag. Ordering over the phone has been smooth each time. So, we keep coming back when the hankering hits, braving what can be a busy parking lot.

To share around the table, we split the following: - Crab Cakes - Sticky Toffee Pudding The salad and entree I ordered for myself included: - Heirloom Beets & Melon - Classic Beef Wellington First and foremost, the salad was absolutely fresh and palatable. I was not used to enjoying a salad with beets + watermelon, so now, I am a fan. The crab cakes were flavorful, especially paired with the house-made lemon aioli sauce. The Beef Wellington dish was divine. The meat was super tender, the brown sauce was dynamite and the vegetables + mashed potatoes were the perfect complements. Lastly, the sticky toffee pudding was great, as the dessert was not overly sweet. The green apples added on top provided a nice balance of tartness against the richness. Junior was my server. I appreciated his warm, friendly disposition. He was very kind and attentive the entire time. The Oxford Kitchen and Gastropub has delectable British food. I am so glad that this restaurant is located in Lodi, which is super close to my hometown. I'd definitely return.

On a normal day Bon Appetit is an easy 5 stars. Ooof, at the risk of sounding a bit snobby...do folks around here really consider this to be…read more"great" Italian food? I actually drove from Roseville to try this place out b/c I LOVE Italian & this place had such glowing reviews (the made-from-scratch pasta being a big draw also). Arrived on a Wednesday evening at just before 6pm & only waited about 10 mins for a spot to open up inside (they do have outdoor seating as well). Waitress quickly stopped by, dropped off some focaccia bread & asked what I'd like to drink. After that...I waited. Make sure you have plenty of time to kill by the way, b/c the service here is on the slower side. My wine finally arrived about 15 mins later & I was asked what I'd like to eat. Inquired about the pear + cheese ravioli & was told that it was on the "sweeter" side, but also that it was popular & I would actually be getting the last order of it for the night. Decided to go for it. Funny enough, the food came out way faster than my glass of wine did. Here is where the real problem began though. The ravioli was undercooked & difficult to chew. Not al dente. The filling itself was definitely on the sweeter side, but outside of that, it was bland. The brown butter sage sauce didn't add much to it at all & I ended up having to rely heavily on the salt/pepper that were already placed on the table. Overall, this wasn't something worth driving 45 mins for, but now I know for sure. At least the bread was good...lol.

We can usually depend on it being busy as they offer a small dining area with limited tables outside, so when we do walk in we do so prepared. They do have a reservation system but to my knowledge we have not used it. We just walk up and greet the staff person at the door to check in, and they tell us what the wait is like. If it's over a half hour we usually kill time in Raley's. It's usually not longer than a 20 minute wait. If you are a large party, things might get cramped, but I've seen them pull it off with gusto. We've never had a party larger than four and it's been great. I really like the folks who work here. And the food is great too. They have a few tvs and a little sushi bar at the back, and the noise level is about average depending on how many children are dining with their families. Komachi has a dedicated vegetarian menu and I've tried most of the things on it. I love that they have marinated shiitake rolls, my fave of the standard veggie sushi innards. Yummy! My favorite rolls on the menu are the Garden Roll (steamed asparagus, avocado, cucumber, kanpyo, and shiitake), Shittake Maki, and the Rich Jumbo Roll (fried asparagus, fried onion, avocado, cream cheese, and cucumber). Appetizers I have tried and enjoyed very much include the Agedashi tofu, fried brussels sprouts (I have to remember to have the fish flake removed from this dish though), and of course, wakame (seaweed salad). They do have ramen, donburi, bento boxes, teppanyaki (the tofu one I look forward to trying soon!) and salads as well if you're not in the sushi mood. I like their seasonal drink menu, featuring wine, soju, and beer. Komachi is also reasonably priced. Yeah, pretty much everything I'm looking for when me and my boo are craving sushi. Vegan Corner: several items can be made vegan upon request, but there is not a dedicated menu. Bathroom Report: noisy pipes will not hurt you, at least it's smelling fresh right?

We were seated immediately which was nice and the place was bustling. The server checked on us periodically in a timely manner throughout the dinner. My friend and I both ordered the sashimi-nigiri combo and though we got the sides of salad and miso soup right away, the actual sushi took quite a while to arrive. The miso soup was also a bit too salty and grainy for my liking. My friend and I were deep into our conversation but the lengthy time it took a while just to bring out our one orders each became noticeable enough for us to wonder where it was. My big takeaway from our experience with the Nigiri and Sashimi: not prime quality. I have been to other sushi places for nigiri and have had better quality and tasting fish elsewhere. This was kind of bland and sad. I want to come back to Komachi and give it an honest shot with the other items on the menu, but my usual favorites (sashimi and nigiri) did not impress me at all... I hope I can return to update this review with better things to say..
